Never hit with a whip in any race. All 1 turn races were 44 half’s besides the one with a bad break and both 2 turn races were 45 half’s with plenty of gas in the tank
This horse proved himself. Who was he going to race? We all dream of having multipul super horses on the track at the same time. Fact is its rare and a horse dosnt need 30- 70 or even 10 starts to prove thereself. Apreciate what he gave us and God Bless the owners for not running him into the ground. Now lets hope they dont shed him to death like Into Mistchif, Justify and American Pharoah

There was a racehorse named FRANKEL named after legend Bobby Frankel who ran consistently into the 140's over 1 mile & 1 & Q mile going 14 UNBEATEN with 12 G1's from 2yt old to 4yr old campaign & retired the highest rated horse in HISTORY at 147. You should have a look at his races, you won't be disappointed friend....Promise!!👌
He's as good as Secretariat, Citation, Spectacular Bid, Ghostzapper,etc. The common fan won't understand, but there are plenty of arguments that can be made and that have been made (by media/horse racing experts) that think Flightline is possibly the best dirt thoroughbred - EVER.

For a horse to only have " 6 Career Starts " but also the Pacific Classic the 2nd Country Grammer ran to a 123 winning the Dubai World Cup which tells us that year it was a poor quality feild & I've watched Flavien ride Flightline about 40 times & when he goes to the front & quickly opens up 3-4 lengths & coming to the final bend Flavien is pushing Flightline hands & heels BUT he's really pushing him out & that's all that's needed then he let's up about last 50 metres were you actually see Flightline slowing because that FREAKISH High Cruising Speed that he only had to use & we have to remember friend when he uses it from way over 3 furlongs out & he can't keep it up & Flavien knows that & that's why he stopped & cruised last 50 meters. If Flavien actually used the whip on him the final 2 furlongs he wouldn't have got much faster due to using his Cruising Speed. And with all these factors put in I don't see how they rate him the same as Dancing Brave who's 1986 Arc De Triomphe win was rated the GREATEST HORSE RACE EVER & the opposition he had " 4 Derby Winners & 18 G1 wins " he was running last 1& 1/2 furlongs out & he comes widest & he comes to join 7 G1 winner's in a line & Dancing Brave made it 8 G1 winner's in a row BUT Dancing Brave just flew past & then there was 7 G1 winner's AGAIN. There's no denying Flightline was a fantastic horse BUT Dancing Brave was an INCREDIBLE HORSE. Please watch the 1986 Arc De Triomphe & watch his saddest race day 1986 Epsom Derby, were he came from to lose a shortening half length because of his jockeys riding error.👍
Highest level thoroughbred. Had a beautiful stride grabbed the surface . Only ran 6 times so hard to make him the greatest ever . But hard to imagine any horse beating him in that pacific classic ?
A "great" horse is never going to have many races if he is great from the beginning, unless he's a gelding. Not in this day and age. Flightline can be compared to the greatest ever. Some of the greatest ever -- that raced 20+ times, don't have 6 races total that are as breathtaking as Flightlines' ONLY 6. And he did it against G1 winners.

had he been whipped or pressed, it's logical to say he would ran a 1:58.xx mile and a quarter, and broke some other track records. Never touch with whip AND.... was taken in/taken hold in final strides in multiple races where he was near the track record. The front fractions of BCC, combined with his final 1/8 mile time tell anyone who follows that, how much of a freak Flightline was. We thought Point Given, Smarty Jones, Arrogate, Shared Belief, American Pharoah, Justify, etc were "freaks". After seeing Flightline, those other horses were elite. Flightline was a freak.

Best horse since Big Red. Career wise, Secretariat better. If they have a series of races from 1 mile to 1.25 miles, I think Flightline wins as many as Secretariat. I think he was that good. It's a shame that they retire elite horses as soon as they (owners) discover they are elite.
His slowest 3/4 was under 1:10 and in the Classic, he and Life is Good ran BC Sprint time according to the electronic timer. His ability to sit just off a blazing pace and then finish the race like they went 1:12 instead of 1:08 for the first six furlongs, is the best I've ever seen.
Flightline never lost , Big Red lost his maiden plus many more. Flightline was never pushed in the stretch. Too far ahead of the rest. Prat saved him each and every time. It’s not about breaking track records , it’s winning.

In those 6...which is all we have to go on, my opinion is, Flightline was at least as impressive as Secretariat. All I can say, is Flightline can, with valid argument, be put in the discussion for one of top horses ever. It's a shame horses are no longer bred to be raced, but instead raced to be bred.
Horseracing is such a sidelight now compared to the old days because the minute the owners realize they've got a horse like this they immediately put them out to stud because they are worth 100 times more there than they are on the track, without any of the risks of racing. We will never again see those mythical, hero horses that transcend the sport and become household names because they are not even around long enough for the common man to realize they exist. American Pharoah properly cracked the mainstream consciousness and then was all gone and pastured about 4 months later. This guy might have genuinely been the most Secretariat-like American horse since the OG but we'll never REALLY know and nobody outside the blue-blooded world of racing even knows his name...because he only ever ran 6 times and only twice at proper classic distances before retirement. TWICE Disastrous for the sport. Modern economics ruins everything once again as it does with every facet of life now it seems.

Flightline was down for almost a year. Half of those races were in 2021. Flightline obviously would have one the triple crown and no one would ever remember Rich Strike. So just look at the numbers and the fact that Flightline reached those top five numbers without ever getting the whip.

So obviously you are more knowledgeable of this, so how does Flightline’s numbers compare to every triple crown winner? Remember, Flightline was never whipped. Not once. It doesn’t matter who he’s racing. You can comp the speed, conditions and the fact that Flightline never was whipped, against any horse throughout recorded history. Too easy Flightline is top five in history and probably #1 if ya whipped him hard.

I made a trip to KY in April 2024 just to see Flightline and Lava Man. 2 of the best horses that ever looked through a bridle!!

To give him a rate of 141 is just Fking ludicrous. Was Flightline on par with the Great European Middle distance Champion " Dancing Brave " ?? Not a chance so rated so high on one race performance is fkd up. Same happened to Harbinger who won the King George by 10 L beating an underpar Derby winner Workforce who couldn't even beat his pacemaker YET Harbinger got a rating of 140 & the King George was his 1st & only G1 win so is right to rate Harbinger so high given his stats were poor at the highest level. Flightline way overrated friend!!
So obviously you are more knowledgeable of this, so how does Flightline’s numbers compare to every triple crown winner?
Remember, Flightline was never whipped. Not once. I know there’s no way to measure that fact so just compare the numbers. It doesn’t matter who else was in the race. Just the final numbers.

There was a few people commenting they had Zenyatta & Arrogate above Flightline but each intitled to opinions. The question remains given Flightline high cruising speed how much would he have found if the whip was used ???

It seems of all the 30 + comments I read you're the only one who has a perfectly healthy ticking brain 😂 Flightline ran 2 x Top races of his 6 & won a very poor Pacific Classic by 18 lengths & the other was a bit more difficult so only won by 6 lengths & everyone's calling the best they've seen & makes California Chrome, Arrogate, Justify etc 2nd raters ? 😂😂
It doesn’t matter who he’s racing. You can comp the speed, conditions and the fact that Flightline never was whipped, against any horse throughout recorded history.
