Thursday 14september a race over 10 furlongs Frankel v see the stars. over a mile and half see the stars wins. over a mile Frankel wins I'd imagine he has to much speed for see the stars but over ten furlongs it's a hard to pick the winner. I'd imagine Mick kinana sitting stalking Frankel moving up two out to put pressure on Tom quillity or kinana could have lead kept quicking up the pace taking the sting out of Frankel's speed but it would have been a great race to see 😂😂😂😂😂 two wonderful horses 🐴🐴🐴🐴 I don't think I could say with certainty if my life depended on it which horse I would have chosen two furlongs 😜😜😜😜 PEACE Dublin Ireland
I have never seen a horse like frankel in my lifetime everytime he ran he just got me excited and just blew my mind away and I have never seen a horse like frankel in my lifetime he's the greatest racehorse Ive ever seen and he's the greatest sire at stud of all time
When queally asks him to go , the way he instantly sorts his feet out and puts the afterburners on is absolutely phenomenal, he made canford cliffs look like a listed winner , absolutely unreal talent , great to see his offspring performing so well also , great stallion as well as a racehorse, just a brilliant animal 😊
Seriously…..I’ve seen hundreds of brilliant top class horses down the years but none of them “move” like Frankel did. An absolute barrel of power harnessed by that amazing full galloping stride and able to act on any going….just breathtaking.
The leg movement and the way he carried his frame will never be repeated ,a one off legend

Frankel kept sir Henry Cecil alive gave him another year when he was very ill both true legends RIP Henry Cecil
I would rate the South African champion Sea Cottage as one of the greatest ever. We tend to forget foreign horses and Sea Cottage in winning 20 and a half ( one tie) gruelling races, several with a bullet lodged in his hind quarters, is worth a look at.

@rhyanwalker5998 Take the compliment, Frankel is the greatest British horse of all time. Secretariat is the greatest racehorse of all time. Arguably so. He could run on any track at every distance.
Frankel is without any doubt the best there’s ever been. Secretariat was an amazing horse and as a one off performance his run in the Belmont is incredible to watch but he also lost three or four races to horses Frankel would have wiped the floor with. It’s a shame Flightlines owners put greed before the chance to go for immortality and history as we will never know how good he was.

Their stride rating and distance range are phenomenal.
This is a perfect example of a jockey and horse, they blended so well together! What a horse Frankel was!
This horse made me fall in love with horse racing, still gives me goosebumps to this day. Probably will personally never see better in my life.

SEE THE STARS AT THE ARC , I REMEMBER WATCHING THE LIVE ODDS ON A COMPUTER, SEE THE STARS WAS 40/1 COMING ONTO THE HOME STRAIGHT AWAY THE STARS AND MICK WERE ON THE RAIL ABOUT 8 BACK, IF YOU KNOW SEE THE STARS THAT HIRSE LOVED MIXING AND BUMPING WITH OTHER HORSES, A GAP OPENED FOR A SECOND AND HE DIDN'T NEED TO BE ASKED TWICE, AS IM WRITING THIS IM SEEING HIM BURSTING THROUGH THE FAP AND GONE ON TO WIN...EVEN MICK KINANES CAREER STARTED ALL OVER AGAIN..THE STORY ABOUT MICK GETTING ON HIM FOR THE FIRST TIME WAS AN AMAZING STORY....IMAGINE HE WAS GIVING TO A COUPLE'S DON TO KEEP HIM BUSY..THERE'S SO MANY STORIES ABOUT THESE AMAZING HORSES....
Cant watch this without shedding a tear for dear Henry Cecil. So glad God sent him somone special to help him through his final days x

It takes so much of your strength to ride a horse like a jockey. You become one with the horse and all of its muscles. It can be very painful afterwards. They minimize this much better than I ever could. But the feeling of invincibility is priceless!

I have to do the same. I watch it every time and think to myself he made the rest of the field look like handicappers and we know they were nothing of the sort.

Everytime Frankel won he just cruised and then powered clear when asked. At that time there were no other horses that could touch Frankel and everyone knew it in every race, even on a bad day he was just too good.
You don't realise how good a horse is until you look at the other's in behind struggling. What an absolute beast....

I have to definitely say I've seen a horse like frankel, the power how he eats into ground a machine. God like animal, probably won't see the like of him again, an absolute pleasure to witness 😊
I've recently discovered a newfound appreciation for this horse's stride. His movement is brilliant.
People of the 21st Century will have grown up seeing pure class in horse racing, we may never see that again.
I consider myself very fortunate to witness in person 3 of Frankels wins. I have been trading 40 years and he is the best. Best by far to be honest. Horses don't produce time after time, but Frankels did. Race wins takes massive amounts out of a racehorse, especially at Group level. The horse was a machine. Trained by the greatest aswell.

Wow! Frankel should be called Lightning Bolt. I don't think I've ever seen a horse put his head down and surge with vigor quite like that. The horse is a symphony of muscle and sinew. I think even Zenyatta would have to start early to have a chance.
The great Australia horse Phar Lap was called lightning bolt..........Translated from Thai to English Phar Lap means Lightning or Lightning Bolt..............should watch the movie Phar Lap he was something else

@@adi6526 he died of cancer...he was receiving chemotherapy during Frankel’s career but was able to watch the horse’s final race and passed away shortly after.
I envy you.
Frankel didn’t just win he destroyed fields made top quality racehorses look like handicappers. Never be another horse like him. Thanks for the memories.

@@shaunwhitmore993 he ran 14 times only met 3 top notch horses in his career in 3 different races. The majority of the group 1 winners where poor horses. Excelabration was just like Frankel overrated look what happened when he went to the US

Simply the best. Never had a scrap on any ground. The horses he humbled were superstars in their own right too. Amazing.

f1fantic1 yes kauto was my favourite horse of all time,,,he had a bad race in 2008 gold cup,,,hit loads of fences,,,and didn’t seem right,,,but still got to within 8 lengths of denman,with a terrible run,,,a year later a different kauto was the best

i had tears in my eyes, to have witnessed this God of racehorses,racing doesn't have the same lure, to have witnessed perfection...i miss his Dad Sir Henry Cecil, we all loved Mr Cecil

I've watched horse racing for 30 years, and Frankel is the best I've ever seen.
I've watched footage of Sea Biscuit, Brigadier Gerard, Secretariat, Nijinsky and so many others.
Frankel tops them all. It was such a privileged to see him stroll the Sussex Stakes in the flesh when he was 4 year old.
My wife, my dad, my best mate and I went that day just to watch him run. I will never forget this horse.

But to compare horses of different eras is nonsensical. Especially in Britain where the tracks are so dissimilar.
You can compare horses from any time and any distance. Black Caviar to beat this horse. Maybe if it had 20 lenghts start.
Peter, you say that the tracks are dissimilar but most of the tracks in Britain are natural, and some of them have not seen a plough for two hundred years. Newmarket is an example. Frankel raced left and right handed, and straight. He went from the front, from the rear and from midfield. All tracks were the same to him. He ran on all types of ground except very fast(we water in the UK because the public don`t tolerate cruelty). Frankel always won. When he ran in the Guineas, his pacemaker could not go fast enough to lead at any point. Horses are getting faster just like humans and no one would think it silly to call Usain Bolt the fastest man of all time. Frankel is the same. His victory in the Queen Anne is the greatest performance on any racecourse anywhere ever. On that day at Ascot in June 2012, he beat European super miler ; Excelebration, by eleven lengths and was within a second of the track record on good to soft ground. That the track record was even mentioned post-race, given the race conditions, is quite exceptional/ unique. Six weeks later, Excelebration beat Moonlight Cloud in France, and that mare was only a nose behind Black Caviar at Ascot.
Anything up to 7 furlongs, Black Caviar would have given him windburn. Anything over a mile and Winx would do the same to him. Put your house on it.

The Cecil stable know very early on that he was exceptional. Shane his work rider said ' this is a fucking machine'. We are blessed to have witnessed the feats of Frankel. I believe there won't be another like him in our life time. I have seen him at stud and he knows he's special.

Look at Frankel's confirmation. Look at his girth, his lung room, his neck, his rump. He is perfection. A thoroughbred that has taken years and years to breed. All he needed was Henry Cecil and Tom Queally (who, contrary to popular belief, complemented that horse immensely) to complete the job. The rest is history...
Frankel was one of those great horses blessed by God with the heart of a champion. A true gladiator in the equine world.
The late great Henry Cecil said it all when he said he was the best he’s trained and probably the best there’s ever been.
Regardless of "greatest of all time" arguments,i have never seen a horse with so much "swag" and beauty.
For me his top three performances were.
1)..The Guineas....say no more
2)...the York win...
proved he could stay further than a mile and then some.
3)Ascot.....sealed the deal and the horse and trainer of a lifetime,went off into the sunset together.

Frankel couldn’t have gone to a better trainer , both horse and trainer where true champions, Frankel the worlds best ever race horse 😍
Such a high cruising speed, it was other horses top end speed. Just remarkable!! What a horse. He’s gone on to have some great foals aswell.
The sire he's become is unbelievable, the fastest sire to produce 50 group winners ever. He's on track to taking over his great sire Galileo's place.
Awesome animal: "He's 15 lengths clear!" People shouldn't waste energy by making comparisons nor should they denigrate their less preferred horse. We should simply celebrate that we had the privilege to watch these champs: Arrogate, Frankel, Winx, Black Caviar et al.
I remember watching the documentary, Henry Cecil said ,frankel could take 2 steps when all others could take one ,just look how he runs !

Super horse, super sore! Better than many American champions by a wide margin but so hard to compare. It all goes back to Northern Dancer, a Canadian bred.
Your right there Northern Dancer was the greatest sire of the 20th century so many great decendents from that horse and alot of them became great sires as well should of won the triple crown if it wasnt for his jockey holding him back in the belmont

Absolutely. All the top horses right now have Northern Dancer in their linage. Winx just mated with I Am Invincible who has Northern Dancer too. Very intentional decision there.
