Does it have the sport package with the upgraded differentials? Thos are now standard on the Core. If your 2024 has that package, you're going to get basically the same car at what I assume is a lower price. Good luck with your choice.
imo the arm rest gets in the way of shifting.. but for automatic transmission i they should offer the arm rest, because as boring 'autos' go, where are you going to rest your arm?... you're going to be in a weird awkward position trying to figure out where to put your arm at a traffic stop lol
@@AH-vt8gv So what? You can go get a brand new "cockroach" corolla hatch for 23-25k.... The GR corolla is sick, but is it really worth 17k more than the standard one? Hell no...
After Toyota voiding their warranty if you go 85mph I no longer have interest in this car. Apparently they want you to void it by giving you a track day. Screw that.

I have Corolla 2.0 Hybrid. I put on all the spoilers and GR Logos that it looks like GR ❤ Original GR still my dream 🎉
Sooooo. Do I get the base 24 model (which the dealer said they can get for me by November) or do I wait for the base 25?

Needs the wing on the hatch, looks like it’s a basic Carroll without it!
@@jeremybrown3748 Can't have the wing, not with the extra opening and heat extractor vents. It would create too much drag.
Toyota said you can still order from the dealership.
Any improvement to rear differential cooling?
Nothing was mentioned in the press release or when I spoke to the engineer.
The diff was never overheating. It was the exhaust pipe being too close to the sensor.
so what's the MSRP for a 2025 Corolla GR premium plus?
@@Saisei87 pricing wasn’t announced when this video was filmed but the article linked in the description has been updated with pricing
Is it a sub-radiator for the coolant or a oil cooler?
@@Renzolito I believe it’s the coolant but could be wrong.
Arm rest and sunroof would have been good as well.
There are cars in the market that offer you that. GR Corolla is not going to pretend to be a GT car. This is a car for the purist

Will blue still be an option for 2025?
Nope
Only the four I mentioned were listed on the press release.
Most liklely the 2026 models. I would wait till Special edition models like the circuit edition
QUESTION: are the windows tinted from the factory??? This prototype definitely looks tinted.......
@@msmarshall854 I asked.
They said it was tinted because it was a prototype. I believe factory tint is rear windows only.
It looks odd without the fog lights... :(
Manuals are relics. Only noobs that have never seen or owned 3 pedal cars want them.
Bet a added cost between 1500 to 2500 grand for a auto.
Automatic transmission are a luxury
So pretty, I wish I had money for it ;w;
GR Corolla is in a weird spot. I would like it as a fun daily commuter, but not for the price.
40k+ for a Corolla is a tough sell. Even the 36k MSRP for the the first version would be a hard pill to swallow....
