The rear wing not being installed is for functional reasons. There was a statement from Toyota talking about the front side vents affecting aero when paired with the circuit wing. That's why the circuit has vent block plates covering the front vents. They chose the functional front vents over having the wing for the Morizo. However, 2024 front bumper outlet vents (going into the wheel area) are redesigned to work with the rear wing aero. Make sure you guys get them!
Yeah, I heard that too, can't find a Circuit wing for my '24 Premium....that isn't over $500. Also I noticed the front seats look nicer than the circuit/premium seats
You guys are really earning that Valvoline sponsorship. Next up: taking the five quart jug out for a nice steak dinner. "AN oil this classy? you gotta wine and dine first"
You should do a home and away track battle with Savage Geese. It would be interesting to see you both try and compare different aftermarket solutions to help address some of the cooling and heat soak issues.
With trim pieces, the moment I hear "these little clips" I get anxiety. Better you than me with that! Great addition guys! Looking forward to seeing it on track!
Usually I'm pretty on the fence with the mods/color schemes you guys do but this was absolute perfection! Everything is just perfect for the car, well done guys great video as always.
Curious what you guys see with regards to engine and clutch pack temps when you start tracking the car. I just picked up a '24 GR Corolla Premium in Heavy Metal Gray and I look forward to what you do for "reliability" mods :)
Remember the influence of the engineering on this car comes from the GR Yaris, which is a rally inspired car, hence the engineering, even though they have made the car more track focused. Not everyone is a circuit racing fan ( Road Course), there are rally enthusiasts as well, I think this car caters both for rally enthusiasts and track racing enthusiasts. Other channels are testing the GR corollas rallying capabilities. Personally would not use this on dirt YIKES!!! Great mods guys love it.
I've read that the AWD clutch packs work really hard and overheat in just a few spirited laps during a track day. Interested what other mods you are going to make to this car. It would be hilarious if you put in a back seat and window regulators!
You can use a hole saw or pop the welds to remove the covers. However the rain trays on the wipers divert water directly on the tophats/ camber plates. My BCRACING damper knob rusted up back in 2020.
Got the ride height and wheel poke just about right - that's rare! I have a Core on order. The real weak link is the rear clutch pack - that needs a creative solution.
I’m loving my core edition.I just bought the carbon circuit style spoiler I was a little iffy about drilling into my car so I’m probably going to go the same route as you guys.
@KN-jw7ts I had a chance to test the car on a track, and I could bearly get 1 lap in b4 the car went into protection mode. we changed the fluid 2x and it kept happening.
By the way…. I’ve not gotten an answer from another Morizo owner… does your third gear have a slight whine like straighter cut gears? When cruising around 25ish mph
From what Toyota has said, the Circuit edition the front side air vents are closed because of the big wing on the back. Reason the core and this dont have the wing as you mentioned the side vents are open and no big wing helps reduce drag....
i installed the CE wing and it was nerve wracking drilling those holes. i get the preservation of the morizo, but also that CE wing is so much better lol.
That is hilarious the oil change at the end hahaha is it a trend yet!? But these corollas are pretty sick! I’m a fan of seeing how this goes! The stock wheels tho are pretty nice as is.
Like the wheel choice, definitely a upgrade in looks and some minor performance improvements. Tire choice might be a different story but still very nice and tasteful upgrades. Keep up the great content!
Regarding the inaccessibility to the front top hats, I think people forget that these cars are based off a regular Corolla. When the Corolla was made there was zero need to have access to those. When they decided to make a GR version of the Corolla Toyota can only change so much before making the project an insane amount of money-that’s why they’re the way they are lol
They spent a ton of money redoing the exterior, it wouldnt have cost that much to stamp some holes out of the top of that brace. This is a simple case of engineering thats not considering the aftermarket and they have every right not to but we’ll still complain about it. Haha.
Nice touches! I’m 50/50 on the styling of the GR Corolla. Someone at my work has a white one and it looks good from some angles, but looks like a sienna from others…
In regards to the stock suspension being harsh, you do have to take into consideration that this vehicle does have rally homologation DNA built into it. For what it is, it's actually not too bad. CLA45 had a much harsher ride
Foam gaskets are critical especially the ones around fastener holes. If foam is missing or mis-instslled it will leak water into the cabin.. I thought it was odd but it looked like black spoiler on rear hatch is not a separate piece on Corolla hatches.
14:32 I need to know more about this option because on Apex’s website they state that extenddd wheel studs (or lug adapter spacers) are required… anyone out there know which wheels or lug nuts I can use on my GRC with no modifications (extended studs/spacers) required?
It's not just the GR Corolla that is like this, it's also the base. Part of that TNGA change where it's all pretty much the same from car-to-car. So Camry, Corolla, and a few SUV's are all the same under there. When I did my RSR coilovers on my Corolla Hatchback (non-GR) I was a little let down with no access to the top mounts. Making a access hole wouldn't hurt, don't know why they wouldn't do it as part of the stamping process of that metal.
I filed an application for the privilege of the opportunity to buy a Morizo. Unfortunately I wasn’t a special enough person to get the opportunity so I will have to settle for owning one of the first FL5’s in Canada.😊
Good to see the GR finally dusted off. Wouldn't have known it didn't come in gloss paint if you didn't say anything. Now to keep it a TH-cam "simple" build by doing a K20C swap just to give it that little bit extra power the displacement provides.
First off, you guys must be walking on air with this one. It must have bee a lot of work to get that 1 of 10 GR it would be cool to hear about the story there if any. What a car! Idk about the oil poor though and calling out G&G I mean I guess it gets boring up in Toronto. Always, It is cool guys nice work and sweet car.
I had made a snarky Savage Geese remark but life is too short. I did laugh at the wing change, I wanted to swap the Circuit for the Core wing, just to tone down the look.

YES
That would be amazing.
Love these cars. GR, ST, all the hot hatches. Such a fun platform to live your WRC fantasies.
Had my gr corolla for over 8 months now and it’s an absolute blast
I may seem stupid, but i think 3 cylinders sounds like V6s and i like that.
Those wheels litrially look perfect! Perfect perfect perfect!!
Ive been waiting for this lil guy to pop out from the background. Just in time for winter ❄️
Tbose struts look exactly like old school sti inverted struts, which makes sense since they were also kyb units.
The rear wing really finishes this car. It ties in with the big booty.
Oil fill was hilarious, best auto channel in TH-cam.
The oil change section near end of video, was well worth all the videos TH-cam injected every 3-4 minutes 👍
With trim pieces, the moment I hear "these little clips" I get anxiety. Better you than me with that! Great addition guys! Looking forward to seeing it on track!

Can't wait for the rest of this build! Is it only me or the wing would look better collor matched?
ah I was afraid maybe the deal fell through and you guys didn't get this car. So happy to see it. Just got my core this week.
wheel tire combo looking fire!🌶
you need to get the TOM's aero kit for the GR..
Curious what you guys see with regards to engine and clutch pack temps when you start tracking the car. I just picked up a '24 GR Corolla Premium in Heavy Metal Gray and I look forward to what you do for "reliability" mods :)
I've been on the waiting list at my local dealership for so long, I can't wait to get one.
I think that all yours needs now is some tint!

Corolla GR is a great base car, they left room for all sort of mods. I bet most who modify ruins the orginal purpose.
I love this car, wish there were more of them.
I've read that the AWD clutch packs work really hard and overheat in just a few spirited laps during a track day. Interested what other mods you are going to make to this car. It would be hilarious if you put in a back seat and window regulators!
Those wheels have just taken all the detail out of the car to me.Originals were awesome.
I like that 90s saxophone musical b-roll.
flat colour and black wheels are the worst and a tell that the owner has no taste so this is a 1000% improvement over OEM.
Awesome work guys!
Would love to see a track battle with this going up against the Evo 5
Track day coming up...saaaweeet!
Wheels and suspension awesome great stance and spoiler spot on ! Great looking car can’t wait to see on the track! Great job guys on the video
Ohh my the new wheels look amazing

Damn! Thats not good

Do these still turn off AWD when the rear diff fluid gets hot? 🤔
Yes!
@@thegirthquake8574 🤦🏽
You track your cars often?
@KN-jw7ts I had a chance to test the car on a track, and I could bearly get 1 lap in b4 the car went into protection mode. we changed the fluid 2x and it kept happening.
It’s not the diff, it’s the ITCC unit.
Check 555 Engineering. Coming soon it seems.
Thanks for making content on it instead of just squirreling it away in a garage somewhere.

Another great video! Seemed like there was more ads in this one but that will not deter me.
great opening shots very satisfying
Try fixing the rear diff over heating problem
555 Engineering is already on it
I can’t wait to see what you guys do with this.
San Jose represent😤😤
i installed the CE wing and it was nerve wracking drilling those holes. i get the preservation of the morizo, but also that CE

I like it , nice to see a toyota hot hatch

10/10 pour.

Limited edition and on a diet, still slower than a civic 😎
Great upgrades! Love the wherls 👏👏
How do such dumb car videos have 1 million views and you guys don’t… love this channel it deserves to be massive
I wouldve tried to find some Wrc type wheels to throw on there. Or maybe I'm nuts lol
Check out ITCC cooling options
Epic OSHA-sanctioned oil change gang! 😄
Love those apex wheels 👍
Congratulations, looks like every standard Grey Corolla now, with the brakes now looking like some stickers and paint covering crap
Thats kinda the point, only true enthusiasts know what this is…

Killed it with the wheels. Gives it that touch it needed.
Heh, Dave said 'handle big loads' nice
Love me some apex wheels!
I'd love a set for my 86.
Wheels are great
A head to head with your Civic Type R build would be awesome
Hot it out of the park
You:”it’s gunna be able to handle big loads”
Me: THATS WHAT SHE SAID!
Hello I have a he Corolla circuit edition I would like to purchase the morizo wheels how much would you like to sell them for?
A MORIZO LIVES IN STONEY CREEK? amazing

After you finish the civic vs m3 comparison you should get the newest M/T evo x you can find and compare it to the Corolla
super cool Morizo
I would get Dark Smoke Vinyl Overlays over the Amber Color front reflectors on the headlights!...
Rally cars ain’t the only thing that need to handle big loads!
This is my dream car
Dave with the LONG HOSE

Fender flare panel on the rear doors needs to be wrapped in gloss black.
love the wheel
Toyota is the godfather of lean manufacturing (5s/kanban), wouldn't expect anything less
Forged carbon roof on a Corolla! We are in a wild time

The song's name is dawn over Melbourne
2nd best thing to a GR Yaris 😋
29 offset... what width guys?!
This is nice, but all I want to know about is that 4th gen Civic hatch in the back of the shed!
Pete hates vibrations and I kinda agree.
the gloss PPF makes it look like my GRc CE haha heavy metal is one of the better color options IMO
when yall gonna start going for test rides around north burlington, and get out of that industrial area of stoney creek?

Really want to get one
if the a film you can use to go the other way, from glossy to matte?
Use the three screws. It might bend when driven

Enjoy the car. Love the video. Any further info on the lug nuts used….
How much oil was left in the tubing 🤔
This is a great buy
I had made a snarky Savage Geese remark but life is too short. I did laugh at the wing change, I wanted to swap the Circuit for the Core wing, just to tone down the look.
It would have been interesting to have taken it to the track to get a base number with stock suspension etc before adding the mods.
