I just got rid of mine. 5 yrs old and a piece of junk. My wife hated it. Sounded terrible and the noise was unreal. Bought a speed queen all mechanical all metal gears and transmission. NO PLASTIC NO ELECTRONICS. GOOD LUCK
Yeah my wife hate it too. She says it does not clean as well as the one we got rid of. We were all excited to get it 8 years ago and after a week of using the new one, we wish we hadn't sold our old ones. If I can get another 5 years from it I'll be happy.
Been there done that she would not let me fix it. Had to send the parts back. Have to keep her happy. GOOD LUCK
Thanks. I know the struggle brother. Happy Wife, Happy Life!
It have been happened to my and we are in progress of repairing.
I'm sure this will be helpful to many. I had to replace the bearing in my 90's era Neptune (the one that sank Maytag). There was only one guy on the Internet helping people. He invented a puller and even rented it out for a reasonable price. Took whaling on it for an hour with a 5 lb sledge but I got it. Maytag repair wanted $600 to repair, I did it for about 10% of that and had the satisfaction. I hope your video will help many, again thanks for putting this ans your other helpful videos out! :-)
If you're referring to the tony tool, it's price is anything but reasonable
If you take a small metal pick, you can remove the bearing's rubber seal and pack the bearing with some better grease.
Thx for the tip!
i bought my parts from an ebay site . i bought tools and bearing shaft kit for 129.00 they come all together as one package . i have a suggestion on cleaning out bearing surfaces on the the washer side use brake clearer but remember this stuff is flammable so use adequate ventilation . i also used a small amount of Loctite on the nut that is on the bottom lower nut on the shaft , it prob isn't a big deal but the nut on my washer was loose ,this may be part of the seal failure issue . its not a real complicated repair but takes a little time .
Good info. Check this out:

It was showing sd on my Whirlpool Cabrio so I replaced the bearings and a new shaft now sd code is gone but now showing code ul could it be the suspension rods?
You could over fill your washer with load if it still have the ul then the suspension then.
Cabrio not cubreo
Pronounced CAB-reo, not kuh-BRI-o
Sorry, but this drives me crazy. Good informative video though. Thanks.
This video is unnecessary.
