EVILLLLL!!!!! (Continue down for QnA)... Q1. How is shaking a universe not Universal Level? A: As presented in my video, shaking an object doesn’t equate to power accurately. Unlike in DBS, where Goku and Beerus’ shockwave was stated to be destroying not just the universe but its very space-time, Movie 12 Goku going all out was shaking things within other world but no indication he was borderline collapsing its space-time. Hence why it’s only beyond universal IF and only IF it was Infinite in size. There is no middle ground. Either you agree with the cosmology lore or not, therefore, it downscale or upscale Movie 12 Goku and the Janemba’s power. Q2. Why did you use Alan Guth’s theory to upscale the Other World? A: The size of Other World is still contentious to this day. We just know its big enough to contain the Universe size Heaven, but the main point I wanted to make was that it can be hundreds, millions, to beyond trillions of times bigger than the living universe. Verifying the infinite size statements by the guidebooks and even if that’s not the case, it COULD allow fans to upscale Goku and Gogeta’s feats IF accepted and allowed. Not saying it must be as big as Alan Guth theory’s, as not many will agree with it but that to assume Other World is smaller compared to the living universe is disingenuous. Q3. How do you come up with those calculations? A: I did not come up with those specific calcs, I just added my own extensions to them. SethTheProgrammer and other users on VSBattle Wikia made a simple calculation formula that anyone can use for any franchise when its applicable. Its in the description to further breakdown how I and many others can use it. Q4. What is Nigh-Omnipresence? Does that mean Janemba’s omnipotent? A: No, it just means he’s everywhere but within the confines of a 3D to arguably beyond 5D reality. He’s not omnipotent on some outerversal or boundless logic, I was merely explaining how high he could go for his speed stats when highballing is allowed since I know fans like to really see how far Dragon Ball scaling can go especially for movie villains. Q5. Why do you validate Koyama’s Opinions a lot? A: He’s the screenplay writer and creator of the movie villains. To act as if his intentions when writing the films don’t matter, when he clearly had a lot of limitations that prevent him from being accurate to the anime or manga scaling, especially when Toriyama allowed Koyama and the movie staff complete freedom to come up with whatever scenarios, such as the Bardock Special that Toriyama himself praised, then yes, Koyama’s opinions should be considered not as primary evidence but as secondary evidence to support the idea that Janemba may or may not be universal, or that Janemba’s self-contained scaling doesn’t need to correlate to the anime or past movies. Q6. Why do you validate promo materials when they often overhype things just to sell a product? A: Although true, its ultimately based on preponderance of evidence. Since the franchise itself agree and support the idea of Janemba being an abstract entity or can go beyond dimensions and so on, sure, you could say it’s a highball scaling but to assume there is no evidence to suggest that’s the case, especially when Dragon Ball Heroes views all forms of marketing, games, anime, crossovers, etc, as canon, especially when this video is meant to be a Composite scaling for Janemba, its allowed to be used for these types of topic. Q7. So what are your thoughts on Broly Vs. Janemba? A: Imma be honest, I don’t care. (XD) I’m well aware people don’t like Koyama’s biased opinions towards Broly but I also know people don’t like the overhype of Dragon ball Dimensional cosmology scaling, so one way or another, If I say one side is stronger than the other, I’m still gonna get flagged. The only real intention from me is to provide all the evidence I can find, to give the viewers a chance to come up with your own conclusions, while still acknowledging any contradictions or counterarguments. We now have 2 legendary canonic Sayans, we got our new canonic Goku-like villain in black Goku, a new Super Nameccian in Universe 6 folks and in Super Piccolo and many others. Even Gogeta is now Manga Canonic with the latest chapters. I hope Dragonball will bring back the Janemba concepts as well since it was one the most beloved Movie Villains among fans!
Can't you argue that Heroes has some degree of fictional transcendence? I've heard people argue that since characters were stated to be able to destroy the real world, this is the case. If not I guess DB 4D is still the strongest iteration of Dragon Ball.
Oh Don't worry.....There is a reason why I'm intentionally doing Broly last. ALLL those specific topics will need to be handled properly. Until then, my videos are more so establishing consistency in narrative scaling for general fans. You can definitely argue they can go that far when you REALLY hype up heroes scaling but it doesn't really influence the overall rest of the video. Keep out for Broly when I talk about that can of worms.
The bruce lee vs baragon and baby gamera and fusion reborn cameos thing are false equivalences due to context. The former is two random fighters fighting each other for sport that happen to resemble the people and things they were based upon. Baby Gamera is a turtle that just looks like what it was based on. They are legally distinct enough to be their own people but familiar enough for folks to get the reference. Fusion reborn has a bunch of cameos of established dbz characters that exist within the universe of dragon ball itself showing up in the background to seize gohan. They aren't randos that happen to look like the characters. The whole subplot of the movie is people coming back from the dead.
Janemba is Buu without the nonsense and on an entirely other level and I love it. No getting pulled around by the main cast and their schemes to stall for time and no pride to get in his way. He's pure unadulterated evil
And here I was thinking that Cooler’s Dragon Ball Heroes segment went too far. Janemba’s a beast, lmao. I’m normally not all that fond of villain characters who are unintelligible, but Janemba’s abilities and fighting style do more than win me over. Great video!
i wouldn't be surprised if Janemba ended up being one of the old movie villains to gain a canon adaptation within Super, dude has everything going for him AND could be used for Buu to become relevant (since the guy tends to be put with Buu lots)
in this movie goes says something along the lines of (to 1st form janemba) you should be proud.. only majin buu has pushed me this far (as goku goes ssj3) ive always assumed the movie was after goku's time ran out after going ssj3 for goten and trunks. then in the anime when goku and vegeta come back to fight buutenks and buuhan vegeta talks about already seeing goku go ssj3 in the afterlife.... remember piccolo told vegeta he wouldn't be able to keep his body in the afterlife....
Janemba cannot be defeated by TH-cam comments because TH-cam will just block all the negative comments. man, this entire thing with everyone involved in any medium claiming who is the strongest, makes me feel like 'fug it, General Rildo is the strongest Dragon Ball character'.
In my head canon i always saw movie 12 as an alternative universe where ultimate gohan defeated buu. Would explain why vegeta is still dead and he was revived at that point and elder kai never gave his life to goku for him to come back to earth to fuse witn Gohan so he would still be dead. I think in that movie's timeline Super Buu was defeated by gohan before he could abosrb gotenks and piccolo and eventually gohan himself
So I kinda take it like at 8:07-8:30 to be like that scene at the end of the movie Men in Black 2 I believe it was, when Tommy Lee Jones opens a locker door for Will Smith and the see into a lobby with being walking around that look giant to them and they look small to the being behind the locker door. Somewhere in that space is another door that opens up to the same thing, over, and over, and over infinitely.
After Slug, I decided on Janemba next and Hirudigarn last on my mini binge and it did not disappoint. Again good intro and overall vid. do have some comments to note that (I realized) don’t really change much of anything but is at least worth mentioning. Might not have made it clear before but you don’t gotta answer anything specifically, this whole thing is more of a ‘what do you think about X’ sorta thing but again, no need to actually type up a response since I’m not asking much directly anyways. I think I mentioned this in the other my other comment on the Slug vid. Of course if you end up reading my (hopefully not type ridden) wordy walls of text no need to respond to anything you don’t feel needs going over since I don’t like the idea of “making” people do that. I just just a super-nerd who likes DB power scaling (and power scaling in general) so I hope I properly made it so it wouldn’t be necessary to understand 1 part by understanding any of the other parts so they could be more easily skipped. - 1st First is my (new) understanding of the idea of a singular “movie continuity” after some movie scaling discussions elsewhere and what I think about that. Although I think you’ve gone over this enough in case you’re tired of this subject and done with it. When it comes to those who believe in a “movie continuity,” I think the tend to think of it as a “canon divergence” from DBZ, starting at Dead Zone and continuing on from there. This creates a few convenient outs by exposing minor inconsistencies by “it’s a different continuity so that would just mean that X and X specifically did/didn’t happen unlike the main continuity” and the usage of more “meta” logic like “we wouldn’t assume X ismain character had a different backstory because it’s a movie that is made to be understood by the audience.” I think this essentially means that ‘we shouldn’t assume certain things would different unless there’s enough evidence to assume so’ if I’m right. I think this is because they have things like Daizenshuu 6 stating Super Android 13 took place in a “parallel universe” and the other movie placements apparently wouldn’t contradict that applying to the rest of the movies since the same things would happen ‘cuz it’s a parallel universe’ or something. More relevant, apparently since Daizenshuu 6 stating Fusion Reborn to take place in the middle of the Buu Saga is wrong because Goku says to Vegeta it’s been a long time since he’s had his body so it much take place afterwards making the timeline placements ‘speculative’ instead of straight up factual. And because the only events we see of the “movie continuity” are in the movies, it’s technically impossible to prove that it would be impossible from movie A to lead to the events of movie B and that arcs that took place in the main continuity simply would’ve happened differently. 2 examples I was given for World’s Strongest were “We see Piccolo sacrifice himself for Gohan as a flashback in World’s Strongest but don’t see him die.” and “Goku being strong enough to take on Garlic Jr would mean he likely wasn’t as weak as would’ve been when fighting Raditz keeping him alive, but still could’ve trained with King Kai via Kami as their best shot of surviving the Saiyans and saving the planet.” How this would all apply to Fusion Reborn is that the Dragon Balls would’ve been used during Second Coming so Videl doesn’t see the Shenron until the events of Fusion Reborn which must take place at least 6 months after that since the Dragon Balls are usable again, explaining Goku telling Vegeta that it’s been a while since he’s had his body more than it would if he just died recently. As for Goku stating Janemba’s energy is the strongest he’s felt upon his arrival would imply he’s at least that strong in his base form to not be considered, making him stronger than Innocent Buu who must’ve been the (or a) Buu that pushed him to SSJ3. The parallel universe thing explains why Buu would have happened at the same time and way it did since any of the past events would’ve changed the start of the whole Buu situation, leaving Goku and Vegeta to stay dead for an unknown reason. The audience would know how strong Goku is supposed to be because due to the the main continuity being the only reference for “Buu” and not some random alternate Buu that could’ve had a different level of power for whatever unexplained (to the general audience/viewer) reason. They explained some other stuff like what about Gotenks or Great Saiyman 2 or Gohan and his “Ultimate eyes” and other stuff but I don’t like making people read novels. - 2nd The only other relevant thing that could either with or without the whole “- 1st” part I haven’t mentioned comes more uses the logic (I thought of on my own but they did to I guess) in my comment on your Lord Slug video about the whole ‘Koyama at one point trying to make things fit with the timeline’ logic I used as an alternate to look at things since I found out through you that he kind of gave up on that. This logic was used to say, like what I said about the whole “killed Frieza” remarks in my last comment, continued with further proof of that being Plan to Eradicate the Saiyans. It wasn’t because it took place in the same continuity but more like, it being a separate continuity was still based off of said movie continuity. This apparently still continued since Vegeta showing up after Goku was too tired to maintain SSJ3 was that so the reaction wouldn’t be contradicted. To me, it’s not like anyone could’ve known that and it was likely just coincidental. Also something about that and having the context of the original story happening, would “retroactively imply” Vegeta would’ve made a big fuss about SSJ3 if it was the first time the reunited further (retroactively implying) Buuhan, Vegito, and the power of everyone after the “movie continuity’s” Buu arc or whatever.
- 3rd This one’s actually all me here and can also be its own standalone point like the last one. I think that when it comes to the idea that all the characters that showed up in Fusion Reborn weren’t there canonically, it’s wrong. Of course when I say “canonically” I mean with in Fusion Reborn’s self contained continuity for clarification. I think it’s similar to how it was in GT when the villains came back to Earth from hell. They were all canonically there and part of the actual plot. The only character to be an exception to this would be Cooler. This is because he is only scene in a still shot once and never again, isn’t interactive with any of the characters or in any particular way and isn’t part of the continuity which follows after the original Dragon Ball (Z) anime. Because of this, Cooler alone is simply an Easter egg and nothing else unlike the other villains. (Either that or some writer looked up the timeline in Daizenshuu 7 and went “Ope! I guess Cooler was in DBZ so I guess I better put him somehwere. Good thing Garlic Jr. isn’t in hell. Phew!” Which I doubt but is funny to think about.) So sure you can consider them Easter eggs, and I do to but because they were part of the B-plot and part of the peril of the plot of the movie in general I see them collectively as legitimate plot devices and characters that were actually there. Even other villains that didn’t make an appearance were scene on the box cover and even some specifically were stated to have returned during the events of Fusion Reborn in certain guides (Dorothée magazines, DBGT: La Revista Offical, etc). So I’d say only the ones that were either seen in the film and or have been stated to have appeared. Doesn’t really change anything but since again, they’d still be unscalable. - 4th This one’s a what do you think about X? I think your interpretation of Koyama’s words in regards to Broly and Janemba being separate continuities. Especially since straightforward and appeals to Occam’s razor. Though there is another interpretation (partially aided by Broly specifcally being mentioned to have returned in the aforementioned guides). That is, ‘what Koyama is saying is that it’s better to think of Fusion Reborn and Broly as separate continues only IF consistency is a concern in his “opinion”’ and then relinquishes his authority as the writer by stating it’s his opinion again in an writerly ‘or you know, whatever you wanna think, I guess’ sort of way. So I’m just wondering if you think that interpretation is in any way “valid.” I mean I guess it technically wouldn’t contradict anything to have another interpretation be “valid” although less back up. But if we’re assuming that’s what he was saying and the guides aren’t contradictory to the guides, then would that mean that a Fusion Reborn version of Broly would exist in that continuity alone that wouldn’t be the Broly Koyama refers to, which seems to be exactly what Koyama is not saying the case. That and even if that was the case, Koyama defers to Toriyama who specifically states that’s how he sees them. But all that gets is ‘he says “stories that take place in another dimension” and since “stories” is in plural and but dimension is singular it’s like “movies in another continuity” most likely’. I think since the interview was translated from Japanese it can’t even be known (to an English speaker like me) if it works like that. (I wish could have some translator could prove it) My best defense is basically ‘saying “people from another country” can refer to people from different countries’ but the topic ends at ‘but that should only be assumed with context’ since that was the but since everything else was brought up, that was the last topic I looked into for the argument. I’m not some versus battle wiki debater or anything, so I wouldn’t know about all the cases in which an author’s words can or can’t be argued against, interpreted one way or another or about any of that “Death of the Author” stuff. So I’m just wondering if any of this is “legitimate” or has enough solid ground to stand on.
What I find hugely terrifying is that a universal threat like Janemba was unleashed because of an easily avoidable accident. Janemba was not summoned via some ritual or created by a mad scientist, but because a dude bro employee was slacking off and being reckless. That's insane.

I wanna see Janemba bully the group to a point where maybe even Beerus is a little nervous and forces goku and vegeta to fuse. But janemba needs to be one of the next enemies besides cooler
Those aren't easter eggs tho they are literally the characters and they belong there. Are those versions the exact same as the other versions debatable they could be stronger and faster than the versions we know even but saying we can't scale the movies together at all is disingenuous imo. Because certain movies are shown and implied to happen to the others like the cooler movies and the broly movies so some type of canon is there and they are applicable even to gt in many instances.
Goku saying there's no time in the other world is such bullshit. The whole point of the Sayin saga is that Goku's on a time limit and needs to train with King Kai before the sayins get to Earth. When the Nappa fight was happening, King Kai said they took too long training, and Goku needs to hurry. How could they too long anything if no time is flowing? Goku probably thought there was no time cause he couldn't see anywhere, so it must be gone.
I think people who always go for a *"hyperbole"* argument are kind of weasels. 1. how are they going to say it's hyperbole every single instance it happens? 2. They don't know if the English definition of "X word" is fully interchangeable with the Japanese version. I feel like if you argue it's "hyperbole" then it's your job to make sure that there's a definable hyperbole interpretation in both languages, otherwise it's just *_COPE_* and denial.

Super’s bringing back ‘90 movies concepts into the canonic manga.

Great video!
This freaking intro... this is the coolest sh*t alive!!!

Janemba’s a beast, lmao.

i wouldn't be surprised if Janemba ended up being one of the old movie villains to gain a canon adaptation within Super, dude has everything going for him AND could be used for Buu to become relevant (since the guy tends to be put with Buu lots)
2:25
Imo I say Fusion Reborn is the timeline where Majin Vegeta's sacrifice was able to kill Majin Buu.
I can’t believe I’m hearing about cosmic infiltration in a video about Janemba
in this movie goes says something along the lines of (to 1st form janemba) you should be proud.. only majin buu has pushed me this far (as goku goes ssj3) ive always assumed the movie was after goku's time ran out after going ssj3 for goten and trunks.
then in the anime when goku and vegeta come back to fight buutenks and buuhan vegeta talks about already seeing goku go ssj3 in the afterlife.... remember piccolo told vegeta he wouldn't be able to keep his body in the afterlife....
Janemba cannot be defeated by TH-cam comments because TH-cam will just block all the negative comments.
man, this entire thing with everyone involved in any medium claiming who is the strongest, makes me feel like 'fug it, General Rildo is the strongest Dragon Ball character'.
This sunny guy really hates your guts.
Because I dont respect frauds.

First is my (new) understanding of the idea of a singular “movie continuity” after some movie scaling discussions elsewhere and what I think about that.
2 examples I was given for World’s Strongest were “We see Piccolo sacrifice himself for Gohan as a flashback in World’s Strongest but don’t see him die.” and “Goku being strong enough to take on Garlic Jr would mean he likely wasn’t as weak as would’ve been when fighting Raditz keeping him alive, but still could’ve trained with King Kai via Kami as their best shot of surviving the Saiyans and saving the planet.”
How this would all apply to Fusion Reborn is that the Dragon Balls would’ve been used during Second Coming so Videl doesn’t see the Shenron until the events of Fusion Reborn which must take place at least 6 months after that since the Dragon Balls are usable again, explaining Goku telling Vegeta that it’s been a while since he’s had his body more than it would if he just died recently.
- 2nd
The only other relevant thing that could either with or without the whole “- 1st” part I haven’t mentioned comes more uses the logic (I thought of on my own but they did to I guess) in my comment on your Lord Slug video about the whole ‘Koyama at one point trying to make things fit with the timeline’ logic I used as an alternate to look at things since I found out through you that he kind of gave up on that.

This one’s actually all me here and can also be its own standalone point like the last one.
Phew!” Which I doubt but is funny to think about.)
So sure you can consider them Easter eggs, and I do to but because they were part of the B-plot and part of the peril of the plot of the movie in general I see them collectively as legitimate plot devices and characters that were actually there.
- 4th
This one’s a what do you think about X?

I love Janemba's design. I wish he had more personality on his second form.
