You know, considering the first time I ever saw the fan theory that defeating someones heartless and nobody would restore them as a person was aaall the way back when KH2 was still the _latest_ game in the series (years and years before the DDD reveal), I would _entirely_ believe that Nomura just adds in whatever interesting ideas fans come up with if he stumbles across them.

friendly reminder that the box is marked X-super, so the master very well may not be the pride sin but whatever is in the box is. the book stuff i dig and is really cool. While yes he includes himself among the lost masters and jokes about "not counting" as one of the seven, him being different than the rest is also made blatantly clear. His name can't be one of the sins (which most of the fandom has pretty much gleamed from the fact that they hid it) and he doesn't fill that role either. he's the one setting everything up, not an instrument in the plan

7 books with 7 different names containing ancient script.
Knowing how every little thing has meaning and comes back in a crazy way like the machine from kh1 coming back. I’m 100% convinced that these books mean something.

Look up what Theodore Translates as: Theos(God-Given) and Dōron(Gift), so Theodore literally Translates as "God given Gift". So if we go by the logic that MoM doesn't give out names randomly, he is literally telling you his presence is a "God given gift". It means he is either an actual manifestation of Light itself, or he is the "Avatar" of light, and acts as it's representative to fight against Darkness, which takes control of others to fight on its behalf(at least normally).
Thanks for pointing that out lol. It's funny because I was going to make my bestie the master of masters in my kh fan animation, and his name Sean happens to translate the same meaning: "god is gracious" or "gift of god." 🤣 Made me laugh. Like what are the chances of that happening?

But no really, Vanitas is a manifestation of the embodiment of darkness separated from Ven's Heart. Furthermore, Darkness was said to _have physical forms that they cast off._ So it's not really a stretch to presume that Light could have started with a physical form.

Apparently in Dark Road, it was revealed where all 13 "True Darkness's"(Aka the character) are currently. 4 Are trapped in the data cable between the Dandelions and Wreck-It Ralph's worlds, 1 became Vanitas(possibly) or was destroyed by Sora during Remind, 1 possessed Baldr in Dark Road and was destroyed, and the remaining 7 are said to be trapped in the Lost masters, Aka "Ava, Ira, Gula, Invi, Aced, Luxu, and the Master of Masters".(I only just learned this bit) Which kinda messes with the whole "He is the light" idea.
@@SkyEcho751 I think the MoM right now is really a nobody . Like , I don't think even Nomura knows. The MoM now is just a plot device that help Nomura with keeping the story ongoing , at the same time he made so that he has multiple possibilities to chose who the person is (might be Soraz demyx or whoever else) and also to be a completely new character. But I really thin nnomura just doesn't know himself yet
@@manuelbonelli3690 His name is a new one, like the voice actor for Master of Masters straight up confirmed they had been floating around dropping a name, and even recorded the audio line with a name included.
However the voice actor also said that he "Doubted the name would have any specific impact", basically saying that the name wasn't one connected to major characters of the series, like if they called him "Dave".
It also seems like Nomura has a story outline, and we'll actually get to learn _who_ the MoM is in the new arc, because the mainline games so far has been all about Xehanort and Sora and the battle between the two. Not really much room to fit MoM in and introduce him, and define what roll he'd play other then the "mysterious guy who set everything in motion" that he already fills.
I just remember that scene where the master tells the darkness that he is their counterpart so that would make him light in physical form but I could definitely have read that wrong

I've had a theory recently. supposedly the story of the keyblade war and loss of the X-blade refers to the foretellers war, then Xehanort makes a new keyblade war. what if these were not the only keyblade wars and neither is the original? what if there was an even older war for Kingdom Hearts and THAT was the war that resulted in the loss of the X_blade?
why do I think this could be true? well what did the X-blade supposedly turn into? 7 pure lights, and 13 PURE-DARKNESSes. what is the dark figure in the foretellers era? the multiple dark figures? they are "Darkness" right? if they are PURE darkness, is it not possible that there are 13 of them and that they are the 13 pure darknesses that came from that shattered X-blade? and then what of the MoM and his "lost friends" he seems to have something going on with the number 7 strangely enough, doesn't he?
and so then, what if the black box doesn't 'currently' contain the MoM as some think, but is a tool intended to contain the 13 darknesses and 7 lights to rebind them into the true X-Blade once more? having been part of the X-blade would explain how the MoM was able to create replica Keyblades from peoples hearts. perhaps after the MoMs plan is finished he, the other lights, and the darknesses will be rejoined into the X-blade ending their 'war' and allowing Sora to wield the true X-blade to restore Kingdom Hearts.

@@Final_RPG To me though i feel like he would of had the story at least 25% done after chain of memories. Theres to many things that happen later on to be like nomura just used this because it was an asset from kh 1 or fan theories made it possible. The thing that comes to mind is the machine in kh 1 in the end of the world that shows up in melody of memories. Thats a huge stretch of time for nomura who worked on 2-3 games at the time to say out it in put it in.

I don't know but, the theory that the master is sora from a different timeline is getting pretty hot. Yozora's arc is hinting that the sora we know looks different from the sora he knows. Also, who is hiding their look?. Yeah the master is hiding his face for a reason. He is someone we know or resembles someone we know. But yes, the master's personality is the complete opposite of Sora's, right?. Well, remember that yozora said the sora he knows looks "different". This could also imply that this different sora also has a different personality. Their personalities aren't too different by the way. The master and sora are both easy going and overly positive. Remember that the theory posts that there could be 2 Sora's with different looks, so anything is possible.

Sora is Yazora (Sora means Sky and Yazora means Night Sky). Rex also confuses Sora for Yazora in Toy Box.
Verum Rex means “true king”
Noctis is from “insomnia” from the Kingdom of Lucis, or “Crown City”. Noctis is the true king after finally awakening from slumber. This echoes Sora needing to master the power of wakening. “Noctis” means “night” and lucis means “light” in Latin - Caelum meaning “heaven”. Heaven in Latin also happens to be “sky” or “Sora”
Therefore Sora + Yazora = Noctis, one true king is literally light and dark Sora. Needs both forms to “awaken” and become the one true king (or MoM).
I haven’t thought much further than this, would love to hear what others think.

The kingdom hearts series started with (the cheshire) cat saving you, to killing god. For all the twists and turns through the years, this checks out as far as jrpgs go.
Theodore is Ancient and Modern Greek meaning "the one gifted from God", gifted as in "being given to someone as a gift" and not gifted like talented.
I see but there plenty of other translations in a general sense that just mean god of gods
@@Final_RPG well, actually no. The origin is Ancient Greek, and for that matter Theon too. Theon means "godly" or better "the (thing) having the essence of god, which gives a better understanding of the name Theodore being divided to Theon Doron which means "godly gift" , so the whole implies that Master of Masters is not directly god but rather a gift from god to the world or someone that has the essence of god in him, whether it's heritage from god (or ... Gifted* to him), or he acquired it through other means or even that he WANTS to acquire it which better fits his name as the seventh sin. Every other translation of Theodore and/or Theon is based on the original Ancient Greek ones and can be misleading. Every single form of a word serves a different and unique purpose in ancient Greek, even when you compare synonyms or tautosims there will always be a difference in meaning in some way, indicating a different purpose/root/axiom/...usage in general.

@@Final_RPG i mean, if we really seek the translation of a word we must seek its origin and why was it used the way it did to mean the thing it meant. Then every other language that took this word took it cause they didn't have a word prior to that to describe this powerful and specific meaning. Although, through years, alterations in the ways we use a word happen, and not only for words a language took from another but inside the same language of origin the usage might differ over the years. Rest assured though, that in this case both latin and English have used these too words they way they were used back 4000 years ago and the reason is simple: it illustrates and depicts a condition in which something can have the essence of god or be given from God (to humanity) and there would be no other words till now depicting this exact meaning that well. Even in Modern Greek that, trust me, it has become a travesty, these words have retained their ancient meaning. If you continue looking it up you will also come to the realisation of this fact :D thank you for your time to answer and thank you for this video! I think your theory is on point.. whenever young xehanort was asking his name. There was no audio, but there was light.
Also..... not sure if you watch anime but master of masters makes me think of Father from full metal alchemist. Divided into the sins to become God. Kingdom Hearts may just be an extension of total control.
Also in Dark Road when the Master of Master's says his name it is still blank, but does have five spaces. Which works super well with your theory!

Just wanted to correct you since I'm an Arab and just wanted to correct you on a couple of things
1. Salet isn't an Arab prophet, we have only 1 and that is prophet Mohammad PBUH or if the word is Salat it means Salah which is prayerin Arabic
2. Nara doesnt mean light, it means fire. Enara means light.
3. Fun fact, Asad translate into Lion in Arabic

The world of kingdom hearts is a dream and the master of masters is the sleeper.
Out of all the theories, MoM being a god/light always made the most sense. It also gave me an idea. If the Master of Masters is a being of light, what if just like the True Darknesses, Light itself could possess people? Think about it. The MoM is seen conversing with the Darkness and is referred to as the counterpart, so if Darkness can possess peoples heart, why not Light? But it would bring a lot of more questions if it were possible, but it would explain how Light was able to gain a physical body, and who would this vessel even be? Who would be the best person to carry so much Light? The Child of Destiny?

Also my dude Theodore is funny AF but Jack is Time traveler from FF1 and the remakes Stranger of Paradice that Nomura helped write, Jack is time traveler like FF1 but his real story is that JACK WANTED TO BREAK OUT OF A TIMELOOP THAT WAS BEING CONTROLED BY LUFENIANS(DARK ELFS) MESSING WITH LIGHT AND DARKNESS TO KEEP A FAKE BALANCE.
I recommend watching a recap of FF1 OG so you can see the fun clues Specifically when you meet the dark elf and get the Crystal eye and then watching Strangers of Paradice witch is the Jacks story so OGff1 is anout stopping Jack and SOP is about jacks time travel story, its pretty good.

Edit: Theon kinda sounds like "The One", sounds very important. Weirdly sounds like Xion, even though I think its a mistake to correlate with her, her name comes from "No. 1" as experiment number 1, given by Vexen/Even (who also was interested in studying Xehanort Memories...)
Luxord had a title known as "Master of Rhetoric" which contains Theo (seems to be just a bad coincidence)
Weirdly enough, "Luxord" is phonetically similar to "sword" and "Lux" in latin means "Light". Does Nomura put any reason his name suggest a Sword of light? He did said Luxord was his favorite Org XIII character...
The book names could be used for the Foretellers' Keyblades

Also, german here. I have no clue what a Hafet is and if Hafen is the correct corresponding word, but even if it is, Hafen doesn't mean law at all. Law would be either Gesetz or Ordnung. Both of these words don't have any similarities with the word Hafet or Hafen. A Hafen is a harbor btw.

Yeah that’s a whole other theory multiple people have spoken on the sora is master of masters but a lot of them haven’t actually looked at other context that has literal proof that he is.
I wouldn't place too much on the colors of the books. Colors in Kingdom Hearts are strangely less important than you'd think. Look no further than Kingdom Key and it's D counterpart being mirrors, but still sharing those colors. More often the connections are names and words, the intent behind those words, etc.
So the books in the library of Hollow Bastion match tales of the Foretellers. Y-Xehanort was researching the Ark, probably the Foretellers, and perhaps even the Master.
Also, Theodore and Jack are names that are very important.
They both mean similar things, "Grace/Gift of a god."
Judging from the symbolism presented already, the way Light is presented in the Age of Fairytales, and such things, then The Master is referring to himself as derivative of that root word, God.
Luxu means excess, but its root word is obviously Lux, Light.
It all ties back to Light.
Perhaps we're just searching for the right translation of the right word for light, and that's the name of our man.
Remember that primary character names in the game are always hyper-symbolic. Especially in the true Japanese
"One Sky, One Destiny" is translated a different way in Japanese, but the fact is that Sora's name is the word for sky, and that speaks for itself.
So we're probably looking for a name, word, or even phrase that encompasses all that we've seen. From the strange, cryptic words of the Ark in KH1 to the various references throughout all games pertaining to light.
Sora is the Master, maybe. If he is the Sky, then Light is a natural connection, and so is Darkness. He could be some sort of heart reincarnate, and other theories state that he is Kingdom Heart's answer to the darkness, a heart that was given life with the power to heal and protect other hearts. An Ark in human form.
If Sora had to make the player character's choice of reincarnating or becoming a Dream Eater, would Sora reincarnate then into a boy called Soma, meaning the sound of win? Further echoing his symbolic connections to the sky, and light?
Anything is possible and plausible to kh totally seeing the the x alone for the sigil became something of major importance so I wouldn’t ever put anything past it

The red book represents love/lust and the Luxord is venitas or Roxas or yozora the reason he doesn’t have a face because his face is a “black mirror”
As a german I have one big gripe with your theory. The german word for "law" is in fact "Gesetz" and not Hafen/Hafet (didnt exactly understand what the word was supposed to be).
So I instantly come to the conclusion that you did your research wrong or you are trying way to hard to make the books names related to the fortellers.
It different dialect of languages that are in history books not todays language and hafen/hafet has been corrected before in my comments in a mixed confusion on my end

To a degree of course because luxu and xehanort both knowing him I would definitely believe this is true but that’s only because there has been a blockage from the org and just main story progression overall

That's a neat find! honestly the kh series was lost on me after brb & 358/2 days. DDD and KH 3 just sucked and the lore was getting lost by this point so I'm kind hoping the seeker saga wrapping up in kh3 and moving on from the repetitive unnecessary sequels it was stuck in that could give the revival and just introduce something new with kh 4 & I love the seven books linking to the fortune tellers!

This was a cool video! I would lean towards a name similar to Theos because this is the Greek rendering of God. The Latin gets Theo from the Greek. So names that have Theos or scrambling the letters to form a new name like Roxas is Sora backwards with an X so we can use Theos and add an X to get a unique name that is similar to how names are formed for nobodies.

I saw other comments mentioning that it had 4 blank spaces and some even saying 5 blanks. Whatever the case, i could see him just being called light. Which wouldn't even necessarily mean that he is God, darkness has many members as well and Japanese mythology works a bit different than what we are used to when it comes to good and evil so chances are the "light" we keep hearing about in KH isn't exclusively good. Balance between light and dark was always a major part of rikus story as well so maybe sora has to learn properly use the darkness as well. Something like that would also give a possible star wars world huge potential.

Im still irritated about the Name "Hafe" or "Have" and the Origin Name of "Hafez" because they arent connected in any way. The nearest spelling to a Son of Noha is "Jafet" wich translates to :"providing Room" in "Room" means the Room for something or Someone to live in. The Name Hafez describes a Person that have memorized the Koran completely. The other words like "Hafen" is Harbor in English or "Harfe" wich translates to the musical Instrument Harp in English. There is no Connection to the Word "Law" or any meaning of that matter. "Hafiz" is a Name thats connected to the name "Hafet" althrough the meanings are different, "Hafet" means Grandchild and "Hafiz" means Protector,Guardian or religios schoolar. These are Arab names . For a very long time I believed the Master of Masters was named “Jack”. There are many many many characters named Jack or title as such in KH or connected to it.
Post Dark Road I thought about it more. Theodore and Jack are Yozora’s companions. The names are literally opposite to Goofy and Donald respectively.
I always tried to find a significance in those library books, but honestly couldn’t pin anything really conclusive.
I will say though, that I believe the Master of Masters as we know him is nothing more than a puppet. And I believe the person who is manipulating this whole charade is Elrena.
Assuming Xehanort heard him properly when he said his name, Xehanort was shocked. But Master Xehanort also says he never figured out who he was. So the name was something that had to be the truth, but sound so unbelievable you’d have to think he was lying. Ergo, I think the Master of Masters is a woman and told him a woman’s name.
Elrena works on several levels, because she is named for Elena from FF7, whose name means “Light”. El Rena is Spanish, but using the masculine article. It should be “La Reina”, or the Queen.

@@Final_RPG Magia and Aegis aren’t official names. They were demo names that the community accepts. Those names were removed from the final game and does not fit the naming conventions. Basically, Yozora mirroring Sora is a Japanese naming convention. Donald and Goofy being rather “English” names, said counterparts too would have those names.
Magia and Aegis are Latin which were used in FF15, but that won’t make sense anymore, which is why you can expect the names to be changed from the demo placeholders.
Donald means world ruler, and Jack is the King’s servant. Yozora’s companion “Magia” shows one eye during the trailer, which is the hallmark of those named Jack.
Goofy is obvious and his opposite is Genius, or talent. In Japanese, “Tensei” is the word for genius meaning “Gift from Heaven/Sky/God.” Theodore also happens to mean “Gift from God”.

@@unslaadkrosis3489 I will say while I don't want sora to be the master of masters as that completely kills his character nothing the master of masters has said or done has necessarily been that bad. Yes he's sacrificing people but with the intent to save them. The master of masters is likely light given some comments. One example is when the mom says to darkness that what sets people apart from other living beings is that people believe in the future even if they aren't there to see it and that he too would like to believe. That implies he unlike humans doesn't naturally believe in the future. I don't think the mom is corrupted by anything but the light which sora most certainly is not. I believe if they don't go the route of being drowned in darkness and being blinded by the light being equal concepts then I think we will see good guys vs good guys they all want the same goal overall it's just who's ideals will be stronger in the end
This feels like a vague reach. The translations are off. Nor do the associated sins have any correlation to the books. The foretellars all have name based off of latin. So if thats the case you would actually being looking for the better version of the latin translation of Pride. No where else are those books shown besides hollow bastion and whats more interesting is if Nomura wanted to keep this part of the lore, He would have Made those books more significant in other games.
