Sora is NOT The Master of Masters - At least, thats what my analysis of Kingdom Hearts' Story seems to be. In this video I lay out all the reasons why I have not been able to buy into this theory or even find it plausible, perhaps I am wrong - and if you disagree - please feel free to share your thoughts!

I totally agree! Also a HUGE point that no one talks about is Ben Diskin (YMX voice actor) had an interview with HMK and he told him he knows MoM’s name. He heard them say it while recording and he said he wouldn’t tell anyone but he also told us that “it’s not someone that he recognized” so it’s probably a totally new character.
Also, since Xehanort knows his name and who he is, if he encountered someone with a similar name he would know it and react to it

The Master of Masters' name might be Venus/Morningstar. Think about how that bright sun/planet is in the sky above the Master in so many scenes we've seen him in. Interesting fact about Venus:
"This rise and fall of Venus as a morning star takes 263 days. For the next 50 days, Venus disappears and cannot be seen in the sky at all. Then, Venus reappears in the evening sky, where it remains for another 263-day phase before disappearing below the horizon for 8 days."
So venus appears as a morning star, then disappears, then comes back as an "evening star," and then disappears again. Sounds similar to how the Master was around before UX, disappeared, reappeared to Xehanort, and then disappeared again.
The evening star = Yozora (Night sky). I think the Master is stuck in some identity loop and ends up as Yozora somehow.

From Dark Road, we know Vanitas is a true/primordial/willful Darkness. And was possessing Ven from the start of Union X.

@@Tezwhale I also think demyx might be a friend too. Got possessed, and when the war ended they flung the body on heart into the future. That kinda makes sense why they aren't around in Back cover times, and once that war ended, it said several Darknesses were defeated. Meaning these specific ones escaped that. He has SOME kind of tie to the ancient keyblade days.
I know Demyx helped Sora but maybe it's a ruse. One darkness did get a look at the book of prophecies.
Plus he's so dramatic and silly. Almost like a parallel to mock MoM. In Dark Road, the first meeting with Young Xehanort, MoM calls himself Theodore. Theo- means something related to God/religion. Like Theology, the study of religion. In every religion there is a figure or figures that opposites of what you supposed to ideally be. I think this darkness is being the devil to MoMs savior role.
Kairi has Venus imagery by the way. Her pearl necklace and being associated with the sea. Also Ava with the waves and pearl on her keyblade and her robes being the color of dawn.

Another point against Sora being the Master Of Masters is Nomura said that the Master wasn't in Kingdom Hearts 3, not counting the secret movie.

Plot twist, the Master of Masters is actually Sora's father's brother's nephew's cousin's former roommate. The cousin just so happens to be Demyx.
Of course it isn’t Sora, it’s Oasr, his secret twin brother that was created by the government in a hidden lab on the Space Colony ARK.

MoM will look like a character we're familiar with, but it will be a new character. Like a Roxas/Ven situation.
It better be Sora if Kairi becomes a master before he does.

The thing that would fix that for me is Sora being the MoM.

Regardless of whether the Master is Sora or not, I think that sense he’s been hidden for so long he has to be a familiar face for the reveal to be more impactful. If he’s someone totally new, it won’t have the same shock value like the Luxu reveal did. Personally, I think the Master could be Sora’s ancestor. So he looks like Sora, but he’s his own character.
Nomura said something along the lines, if MoM's name was revealed, nobody would be shocked or think it's a revelation
He probably has a connection at the very least to someone we know. I dont think he is completely unrelated to anyone. Nomura will mindfuck us for sure.
If it does end up being Sora, I would go as far as to say that it would be character assassination. It just wouldn't feel right.
The game creators have stated that Sora is just an ordinary boy on an adventure. So the player can easily see themselves in his shoes.
I have ALWAYS said this. It goes 100% against what Sora is suppose to represent as the main protagonist of the series.
The identity of the Foretellers and MoM can make or break KH as a series. If these characters are anyone we already know, Square will have failed.
MoM and the Fortellers better end up being MoM and the Fortellers.
At worst I can accept Luxord or Demyx being one of them.

I don't agree with that if it's a completely new character I would be really disappointed, it's very difficult to be surprised or shocked and it's still bad when you leave a character hidden like that, I think that everyone was surprised when luxu turned out to be xigbar and it's not for nothing

That said I have thought about this topic a long time and even though I believe MoM is his own new character I have come up with ways that the theory could work. I just like MoM being his own character better.
Time travel in KH doesn't work in such a way that a person can time travel to a point before they ever existed.
There are two forms of time travel in KH.
One, the heart travels without a vessel to a point in time where said heart already existed. This can be to either the past or future, though it would be safer and easier to travel to the past. As one knows where they have been better then they know where they are going to be. In fact this might only work in going backwards in time, until someone tries to return to their true present anyway.
I do think it is possible for a heart to maybe time travel to a past life in this fashion.
The second way is the use a vessel or in other words an incomplete Ark. This time travel causes you body to be destroyed. And to be reformed you would need a medium and a person with memories to reform you. However to have a personal object and a person with memories of you. You would have already needed to exist before wherever you ended up. Which means like the first kind of time travel you can not time travel to a time before your creation/birth. In other words Vessel time travel is best used to get into the future.
Now there are ways to make the time travel work that Sora becomes MoM.
One Sora needs to be a heart reborn. Chirithy calls this becoming a New Heart. Which is almost exactly what Sora calls himself when he talks to Ventus at the start of BBS.
Two a version of Sora would need to time travel into the past where this past life existed. That past life would then likely need to die so that Sora could reform his body. As if the same heart already exists in a time a body can not be formed even if the medium and memories exist. At least to the best of my understanding on how a body can be formed.
Three that version of Sora would need to grow to be a very different person. Which as you said just doesn't fit.
Another version of Sora is MoM that I have heard that you didn't talk about is that. MoM is Sora's past self rather then his future. I don't really believe this one either. Mostly because I think MoM is more likely to die in the present and I see no reason why a heart that dies in the present would be reborn sixteen to seventeen years ago.
One idea that could work though I don't really believe it is the idea that MoM is a broken being. His heart, body and soul are all in different places. The MoM in the back coat most likely being the Heart. Maybe Ansem the Wise being the Nobody as it would make his dislike of Nobodies be more ironic, plus they are both scientists. And MoM's Lingering Will or his Soul. The Soul being the thing that allows a person to act. That somehow attaches to Sora before he was born. It would explain why Sora's heart was able to act on it's desire to go help Ventus. Something I am sure any heart that could have noticed Ventus would have wanted to do. Though there are likely other explanations that would explain that.
Not having a body or soul could even fit MoM.
He always wears the Black Coat being a heart in a coat, brown sack, or blanket seems to be a way to keep a heart from moving on to wherever they would naturally go next. Hearts without bodies seem to need some sort of physical vessel otherwise they get swallowed up by Kingdom Hearts, the Realm of Darkness which likely has a version of Kingdom Hearts in it, or the Final World.
And not being able to act might explain his nature of tricking others into action. Because he literally can not act himself, at lest no more then Terra could without his lingering will.
Honestly I almost like that last one. I just don't actually believe it. My belief is that MoM is his own character and Sora and he echo each other like any good hero and villain will.
The “heart going back in time to be born as someone else, after death” reminds me of that short story about like, the idea that *all* people are just reincarnations of the same person (in a randomized order I guess?), as part of a preparation process so that humanity(actually a single person) will mature (and then, idk, at the end of time, enter into some larger society of beings who matured in a similar way? Idr exactly.)
Anyway, yeah, new theory: all the characters in KH are the same person (not really, only joking)

Mom says to Luxu that the keyblade war started when he was a boy. Obviosly sora is not an adult, but I would definely not call him a boy. Keyblade war for him started in KH3, when he's like 15 or 16. So that doesn't add up. He would be a boy I kh1, not all the way in kh3.
Sora also isn't the type of person to sacrifice a whole town to defeat the darkness, or his own friends (the lost masters)
I do definely think people are over-reacting too much with the eyes glitch. I think it's just a glitch, nothing more.

@phantomstar12345 Sora hardly had ANY connection to that war whatsoever to be important enough to mention it. Also when the MoM said he was a boy when the Keyblade War happened, it's obvious he's referring to a historical event known the ALL the worlds, where as the one with Terra, Aqua and Ventus vs Xehanort and Vanitas in Birth By Sleep wasn't even known by the people of Radiant Garden, much less all the worlds, and especially Sora.
The Keyblade War is like the DC Crisis tradition minus the reboot that comes after
The strongest evidence of Sora being not the Master is how time travel works in the world of Kingdom Hearts. I mean just take it logically:
You need a Goal/Waypoint to time travel. This waypoint is a version of you which exists what you know of from:
Young Xehanort could travel to the time of Ansem SoD beceause Ansem SoD travelled to the time from Young Xehanort to tell him.
Sora time Travels to Times which he already experienced because he knows he existed there.
Maleficent travels to the farthest point in the past just to notice that this is not the past she remembered.
Maleficent is also the best example to explain why Sora can't be the MoM.
But anyway. In UX we learn there is another way to time travel into the future and this is through creating a waypoint with memories and a medium. This also happens to Maleficent. Since time travel into the future is not relevant for Sora being the MoM since the MoM is in the past we can exclude this at all. All what's important is the way to know how you can travel without a waypoint.
So to travel further in the past then you youself know there has to be a version of you in the past and it happens by accident. If you have no version in the past you need a medium and someone with memories....and if we simply take this logically. Why was there a version of Maleficent? Because of the Book of Prophecies which is a look into the future. The Book was created from the Master so it is already impossible that he made a Version of Sora prior to writing the Book correct? And if he can't make a version before writing the Book Sora can't be the one who written it. So we can also exclude there is a version of Sora in the Past that the Master possesses as long as there is not second Book of Prophecies written even further in the past.
Next medium and memories. How on earth should someone remember a person that has yet to exist? How on earth should someone have an Item attached to a person that has yet to exist? I mean if the person could watch in the future...yes...but we talk about the MoM being Sora. And the MoM can't remember himself to travel in the past. So we again need someone new with another look into the future for this to work. So if not suddenly a second guy/girl emerges from some random never told point in time it is again impossible for the Sora to be MoM.
But you know what? To finally bury this theory in the ground let's just say hypothetical that Sora indeed is the MoM then here the contradictions:
- Luxu don't recognize him...at all.
- He was not there during the BBS Keybladewar and he said he fought in it not being on a different world. Also other Keybladewielders are not from the official translation. The official translation only says others and the Master say "Yes but they don't really count." letting one believe that they are not even Keybladewielders in the first place.
- We never see Darkness giving up his Form to split into 13 True Darknesses....that has to happen if the Master saw it. In none of the 3 Keybladewars we have seen was this ever shown.
And just for records to really think this through. IF he is the Master then Sora is born in a time that is already in split worlds because of himself...whitness the destruction of his Island because of someone which only acted because he told him to do. Stole a Keyblade from his friend that only got the Keyblade because the person he told him to do acted prior. Got the Heart of a friend inside his because she only entered the Island because the person he told him to do send her during memory loss coming from actions he told him to do and this actions supposely happened in a Keybladewar he was "present". He created a Keyblade to see the future he whitnessed already himself. He took a Coat on to protect himself from Darkness...a coat he associated with evil, and was given this "bad guys" from himself because he created them seemingly. Then he...somehow...time travels back to a time he never existed in before to do all this ridicoulus stuff I just mentioned to himself, somehow is able to trick Luxu that he never regocnizes his past self and even tries to capture Darkness in a timeline where it shouldn't exist...because if he whitnessed as a Boy the Split of the Darkness then it has to happen years before he trained Luxu and the others. And since he says he was just a boy....and he somehow time travels back then he has only 2 Years from KH4 on to whitness this stuff. So it has to happen in the future to make somehow sense and Darkness suddenly then appears in the said form in the past? Did all 13 Darknesses also time travel to the past just for Sora being the MoM?
In conclusion. This is one of the most stupidest theories I ever heard and it has no base. It is a theory crumbling already on a sand ground with flood coming up while the architect was drunk while building the house and the house itself has no walls and was build upside down.

I agree with what you are saying, but one thing to point out, your argument for the data fight evidence is weak, something we all know, it's that Nomura does 2 thing, set up stuff he knows what he will do with, or set up stuff that he is not sure what he will do with but he is going to use in the future. This can fit on either camp and it doesn't have to be something related to the MoMs. But i don't think is a detail Nomura just left there for the lols, he rarely is that kind of person. Whatever he will use it or not it's another thing.

I feel like this could reaffirm the theory more than it disproves it. All your points still leave the recipient in an optimistic state. But your ending theory makes a lot of sense and kind of has me considering in that direction. Also you're right, Sora only operates in goodness and light.
This isn’t a theory or anything, but it'd be a weird or cool reveal to say the destiny trio and the wayfinders, and the union x guys are the master of masters friends as split people. Like ventus and sora being just 2/3rd of one of his friends. And they are completely unaware.
Idk man, I feel like because the face has been hidden its gotta be a character that we've seen already at the very least. I mean hell even interviews involve a name that hasnt been heard has been cited but at the same time it could be a alias. Not to mention that if the story is inside cycles of a timeline that it could be a more jaded version of a character we've seen.
Just my opinion at the end of the day but it just seems far too late in the series to have the most crucial mystery in the entire series be a "Who tf are you?" Moment when that hood drops. I still throw my hat in the sora or riku ring just because I feel it only makes sense with how the mannerisms and approach to people is with the master. Lore as presented without outside theories that's where my guess still lands.
Idk my other guesses wouldnt be practical to story. Either a OG character from final fantasy(ff5 and before) or it's a new character meant to be a stand in for nomura himself.
It would have been really cool if he was, but now everyone and their mother has either had this theory or heard someone with it one, it would seem lame if that is what happens.
I actually think the Master of Masters might be Terra, lol- I'm gonna go on a rant, don't mind me. I have an entire Google doc about this theory.
So I think the Master of Masters is Terra for a lot of reasons. One is that Terra sees the future in Birth By Sleep. When he's at the Destiny Islands and finds Riku there, he sees a glimpse of Xehanort and then future Riku. It's not for the player either, because Terra reacts to it. He gasps and his eyes go kinda wide. I can't remember if it happened at any other points, but it happened there.
Later when Terra becomes Terra-Xehanort and Aqua fights him, there's a part where the Guardian pulls Aqua into Terra's heart. (The golden place where the Guardian throws the darkness orbs at you and you go to Terra and say “Light” together yadda yadda.) During this sequence, Terra uses No Name, which is the Master of Masters’ Keyblade. I don't think this is because Xehanort uses it. Because it's also shown that Xehanort has Terra's Keyblade (Earthshaker?) when he uses the Ultima Cannon attack on Aqua. And since it was in Terra's heart, it feels weird Terra wouldn't have his Earthshaker but instead, No Name. I think it might have been deliberate. Maybe it had some kind of connection with his heart.
Also, I might be wrong about this, but Keyblades are picky about who uses them. And at the time, Terra and Xehanort's hearts were both inside Terra-Xehanort. If No Name wasn't able to be used by Terra, Terra-Xehanort probably wouldn't have been able to use it while Terra's heart was still in there. This also kind of connects with the thing about Terra using No Name in his heart, which might be confirmation Terra can use it.
I don't think Terra would've been able to use No Name just because Xehanort had anyways, because maybe Xehanort could use Terra's just because he was in control of him but with Terra it's a different story. Terra is basically trapped in his own heart and probably wouldn't be able to use No Name just because he wanted to. Hence me saying he has a connection to it.
We don't really see Terra’s backstory, we just know that Terra has trained under Master Eraqus for a long time. We don't know how he got to the Land of Departure, or anything. And the Master of Masters vanished without a trace. Maybe he time traveled or maybe another force interfered with him to send him to that time. He seemed to know it was going to happen. He can predict the future after all. It'd be kind of weird and confusing with the timeline, but the same thing happened with Ventus, him coming to the future with no recollection of the past. Maybe the Master of Masters abused the power of waking and came to the future younger/weaker or as his past self, with no recollection of being the Master of Masters.
Finally this is a pretty big stretch, but all the foretellers are named after one of the seven deadly sins. Except for pride/Superbia, which a lot of people think is the Master of Masters' name. Again, a big stretch, but Terra somewhat shows pride at times? Or at least an ego. He gets very upset when he isn't declared a Master, and I think it was very complex what he felt and he felt his ego being hurt. He's trained for this his whole life, made himself so strong, and he fails? Whenever Xehanort praises him and calls him a Master, that fuels his ego and is one of the reasons he's so eager to please him. When Aqua calls him out in Radiant Garden for using darkness and doing bad things basically, (“I’ve seen what you've done,”) once again very complex feelings but it hurt his pride and hence he stormed off without attempting to make up.
One might say that his personality is way too different to be the Master of Masters, but maybe the Master of Masters was once a very stoic, respectful man/teenager with a strong sense of justice and he became the way he is, so eccentric as a result of whatever trauma or something he went through. Because let's face it, every character has trauma at this point and I'm sure the Master isn't an exception.
Also… he does have blue eyes. Just saying.
Yeah, so in conclusion I think he's either the Master of Masters or maybe even a relative or descendant or reincarnation of him or something. I really hope it's not all coincidences because I poured my blood, sweat and tears into this theory. Feel free to pick apart why it's wrong. Don't take it too seriously I'm just some 13 year old with too much time on her hands lol.
It could possibly even be Soras dad, bekng as We've never met or have seen him. Or an Ancestor of Soras in some form
I loved this video. The only thing i can say about the dark timeline argument is the argument against was that Kairi and Riku were there. If he (Sora) survived he's the only important one or the one that matters because he's still around. If Kairi never saved him and he lived he'd be alone and when he got swarmed by heartless he lost his faith because he believed his friends were his power. And the series is getting darker so why give us the bad timeline if it wasn't relevant? I mean this as my opinion i love your vids man and i agreed with all the rest.

there was a video i saw here on youtube once saying art was done by square for something and there was a dragon with a heart emblem or something like that in the art made for promotion of something and it had the person wondering what if the master isnt human and hes actually a dragon and thats why his eye looks that way. and why he cant do things humans can he can shapeshift but he doesnt have a heart like the rest of the cast.
Yknow, in regards to poses. There isnt exactly that many poses someone can do when they carry a weapon in one hand

Similarities in Kingdom Hearts are never, ever coincidences.
Landi there is so much proof that either can be the case. But i do believe that luxu maybe a new member of the light crew.

One thing I haven’t really noticed anyone talking about is soras anti-form. If the master of master is truly a being of pure light then I feel like anti-form would be out of the cards for him. I’m not sure if there’s any lore surrounding anti-form but it’s just something I’ve been thinking about lately.
Well, the MoM did say that he would be one of 7 (along with the original union leaders and Luxu) that would house/trap in-body one of the willful darknesses, so, I don’t think “but the MoM would never have darkness within him” really fits with that?
He isn’t a princess of heart, after all.

Talking about MoM taking over sora would be interesting, but I imagine it's more possible he would want sora to be a vessel for the 13th darkness, since I'm pretty sure riku is no longer a proper candidate given even xehanort couldn't use him as a vessel, kairi is a princess of heart, and I imagine most of the Disney characters probably wouldn't be suitable hosts either.
Likewise, the former organization members likely have a good grasp of how darkness works, and with xion and Roxas having replica bodies, it's possible they might not be good vessels either.
Like, a lot of characters just aren't good vessels for that final darkness. But given how we've seen sora slowly, if not unwillingly, tap into darkness with anti and rage form, and how he's definitely tapped into his anger and other emotions more as the series has gone on, his deep dive into the realm of sleep that almost got him norted as well, he's probably a perfect host.
Though I do think it's possible that after being thwarted, MoM might decide to become a vessel for darkness himself, as a last resort, but that might very well lead to a much more dangerous combination than anyone can really comprehend.
The whole point is to get the remaining darknesses in human form so they can actually be destroyed, which ultimately sounds like that means MoM id also planning to strike down the other lost masters, and that would also mean he'd be going after ventus since he at least had a darkness inside him. Given the cutscene from remind where sora is in ventus' heart and is expelled by darkness though, I imagine that darkness is still there, lurking, lying in wait...
So there's definitely a lot of interesting things that can happen in kh4 and beyond. Whether they play out this way or I'm way off the mark is anyone's guess though lol.
Watching Union X. Just noticed something interesting that gave me a pretty interesting theory for MOM. Cool to share here or can recommend a good place to?
If MoM is a character we do already know of I think there’s a chance it could be Xigbar himself. I know he revealed himself to be Luxu but after rewatching all the MoM scenes and the KH3 ending I think there’s a chance he’s lying about being Luxu. It wouldn’t be too far off since we’ve seen Ansem do something similar to this before. To me the way that MoM reacts, moves and speaks during both serious and non-serious moments reflects Xigbar the best. If u rewatch the KH3 ending anytime that Luxu is brought up Xigbar smiles and pauses before speaking. The Foretellefs ask “Is it really you” but never actually ask ”Is it you Luxu” meaning Xigbar could be misguiding them in saying “Yes it’s still me after all these years” because he would still be the MoM after all these years. Ira ask “Is that you, Luxu?”and Xigbar’s response is “That’s a name I haven’t heard of in a long time”. The initial phrasing makes it seem like he’s referring to himself but what if it’s MoM talking about how he’s hasn’t heard of Luxu for a long while since he’s been time hopping constantly. Aswell as the fact that MoM says he also plays a role in the end of the world and that role has been fulfilled by Sora rewriting history. He now gets to continue after the ending of the Book Of Prophecies and carry out whatever his plan is because he’s no longer bounded by fate and destiny. It’s a really dumb theory I’ve had and could easily be debunked by saying “No it’s Luxu” but I think there’s definitely some places where it could be true. At the very least Luxu has definitely started acting like the MoM after all those years of being alone

War and loss can change anyone for the worst, especially someone like Sora who needs his friends as he derives all facets of his power from his connection to them. Him changing so drastically is not impossible if let's say an alternate version of him didn't use the power of waking to alter what happened or used it and failed to change the events in a meaningful enough way to stop the first events at the KBG from happening.

something to rememebr is that in the kh universe its entirly possible to print bodys and make hearts that can then be edited into an entirly diffrent being.
you can print bodys by using the time machine to make you a body around your heart.
you can make hearts by emptying a formerly filled body.
you can dive into anothers heart or overtake theirs with your own if your a master or could flat out rewrite someone to edit them into someone completly diffrent (roxas becomes diffrent from sora and ventus despite being made from them).
Just want to put on the table that even if Sora is just a normal person that its possible there could be some people walking around in the KH universe that were crafted for a reason using these methords he both knows and likely discoved before or after the gazing eye.
Also consider what we know about time travel. It isnt conformed that someone like sora could not travel into the future or past by possessing roxas. So the question is. What is the limit for how diffrent the vessel you want to possess can be from you when time traveling? Looks? Heart? Being reconised as that person?
I’m just going to say it’s a unique character (as it should be). Ben Diskin already said he knows the name of the Master and it’s not someone’s name we already know.
Even if it’s like demyx’ or Luxords somebody name we haven’t heard yet, theres plenty of other media that maybe proves it’s not them either.
Disney/KH wouldn’t be dumb enough to use Sora as the MoM because that makes marketing and merchandising a nightmare when your main character is other people too.

When timelines and changing future was made posssible in the KH universe is it's possible that Sora did become MoM, events change who we are based on what happened to us in life, we become better, worse, ragefull, bitter or even try to hide our sadness with sarcasm wich the MoM has a lot.
For me MoM will be "Sora" but not the Sora we know, Vanitas takes Sora's form and it is confirmed the Darkness was Vanitas so why can't MoM be Light and have Sora's face but bieng a different character at the same time, i would love MoM taking of the hoodie to show an adult Sora face to out young Sora

To me it sounds like you don’t want sora to be the master of masters. But on an unbiased view I feel as if it is possible. Sora somewhere down the line could have lost everything and the only way to get his friends back was being MoM. Also I could see sora manipulating people to get his friends back if it’s a last resort. The whole kingdom hearts is about sora fighting to reunite his friends and stuff. So ultimately he will do anything to do so. This is just my speculation considering he already went through so much for them… MoM ain’t to far off the scale

The Master of Masters has to be Sora its actually the only thing that could have narrative wight at this point... Sora has altered time resurrecting his friends and never faced his true darkness the Master has the ability to pull key blades out of those hearts that hes connected to ! allowing him to give his friends his power, sound familiar ''my friends are my power'' and ones eyes can change after using darkness/time travel enough times this has happened a few times not only that but 4d chess is easy when you can see the future and all the things pulled from the book of prophecies in union X are from Sora's time also it wouldn't be the first time Sora went a bit dark if you go back and watch all his scenes he has to be told to be or feel happy quite a bit and with out his friends Sora is a completely different character ! so yeah i think The Master of Masters is Sora or a version of him at least it just makes the most narrative since to me !

My line of thinking was Sora is just too justified of a character to be in another timeline/time space. It makes sense for him to meet the MoM for the fated clash.
Ex: Sora will most likely try to understand the Foretellers, MoM will very simply explain, before they perish after becoming vessels of 'darkness'. Probably deeming him a true Keyblade Master thereafter. 🤷🏻♂️

My guess is MoM is Luxord, since he seems to have a connection to both the ancient times and Quadratum, why else would Xigbar/Luxu question who he is maybe he recognises him as the MoM
Luxord is already the Driver/Chauffeur/Servant of Yozora though. We hear him talking to Yozora in the real ending cutscene for the Secret Episode and said cutscene can only be unlocked by winning against Yozora.

@@luigiRobs14 There is no evidence pointing to the MoM being Luxord's somebody. There is the difference in voice and the difference in body shapes.
The only time where we saw a human change their shape and voice was when Riku transformed into his Ansem form during 358/2 Days and KH2. Otherwise there has been no other time where a human transformed.
(Note that Ansem Seeker of Darkness is a heartless and Sora was already a heartless when Kairi transformed him back into a human in KH1)
There have literally been no other times where you saw someone change things like that. There have also been no cases of magic that could do that so that falls out as well. So tell me, would ut even be possible to implement your theory into the KH Story?

I think The Master of Masters is Riku and Sora fused together like Yozora looks. And I think The Master of Masters... performed Forbidden Action to save themselves from Failure. So, the Master of Masters created themselves to create Sora and Riku to create themselves and loop the entire Kingdom Hearts Timeline until he saved themselves. After all, Nomura has stated the series is all about Sora and Riku. So, it would make sense the Master of Masters authored his own existence in a Time loop Paradox.
And The Master would be the most relevant, because Riku is the Light and the Portal to the Final World. No Riku. Darkness prevails.
Also, Riku and his Darkness are manipulators. See KH1.

IN FACT i do think the parallels between Sora and MoM are intentional, but they arent because they are the same character. Its literally because he is obviously meant to be a perfect final enemy. He is SUPPOSED to be similar to Sora in these ways BECAUSE it makes him a compelling villain and someone that is so INTERESTING for this series. They arent the same character but they have similarities which make it so interesting to be against him

2. Regardless of if the current Sora wouldn't do these things it doesn't matter. We do not know what Master of Masters went through. The *slightest* trauma can entirely change a persons perspective.

What atrocities did the master of masters commit? Never understood this take that people have. And how was he deceitful? He told them exactly what was going to happen. If they followed their roles perfectly nothing would have happened, but he knew they wouldn't be able to.
He manipulated them pretty clearly. He used them as vessels for true darkness without telling any of them the truth.
I don't agree with the theory, but Kairi is an irrelevant keyblade wielder. She is "pivotal" in the sense Sora loves her, but not because of her keyblade skills, so that's kind of a bad argument there.

If I’m being honest, this video did a better job of convincing me that it is possible that the Master of Masters is Sora rather than discrediting that idea. It’s a simple pros and cons dilemma. There’s more evidence supporting the idea than there is that goes against it. The only argument you presented against it is that it isn’t consistent with Sora’s character. Despite the mannerisms, experiences, and carefree nature. I don’t believe they are the same per se but I do believe that this video has swayed me towards it being a probable theory.

Sorry I don’t believe you. It literally doesn’t make sense for the MoM to be anyone else other than a future version of sora. Things can happen in the future which changes sora and who he is. Some traumatic event could happen which would make sora to become the MoM and travel back in time and set himself up as the MoM’s. The reveal wouldn’t have the same weight if the MoM’s isn’t sora. No other character that makes sense has the same or similar mannerisms or personality like sora.

@@jeremysteinmark2845 Actually, people would. Know why? Because of that little thing called writing. If the writing is good enough, then the reveal is good. Honestly, I think there's no particular reveal, I think the reason the character is hooded is simply because Nomura hasn't finalized his design. Not to mention the voice actor for Riku has stated he has heard the Master's name and said the only thing he was authorized to tell was that this wasn't a character we knew (you can say he's lying for corporate reasons but that's just a possibility and frankly, this is too big of a statement to be something to lie about). There's also the cutscene where he tells his real name to Xehanort. Xehanort's reaction clearly shows he knows the name and its significance and right after that, the old Xehanort is shown foundly remembering that very moment in clear details, indicating he hasn't forgot. Yet in DDD when he's about to put his heart in Sora, he merely talks about him as a "boy" and makes it clear he only sees him as a potential vessel. Again, he clearly remembers his conversation with the Master decades ago and he was clearly marked by the event so if Sora was that man, he would have definitely behaved differently.
And like I said, it simply doesn't add up. The Master's backstory is that he was born during the era of fairy tales, when there was only one world. Obviously he can't be "born" there if he's a time travelling Sora.
Finally, it would just be uninteresting because it would be utter cliché. This would just be another "pure hero gets jaded and corrupted", which has been done to death and is not even that appreciated anymore (they tried to do this with Luke in SW for example). Plus, thats' not what's been about. The whole idea about his character is that he's so pure even after suffering like hell, he was able to keep his light and do good. That's what makes him appealing as a character. To turn him into a jaded anti-villain would be a waste, it would make him go from unique to "ah yeah, just another broken anti-hero" (not to mention we've had this storyline with Riku already so that would just be a repeat).
And about his mannierisms, not all happy, buffoon like characters are the same person. Two different characters can be goofballs and share similar personalities in the same series. Maleficent and Xehanort are both power hungry and manipulative with similar hand gestures, doesn't mean they're the same person.
Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I think the theory about the Master being "light" incarnate or something similar.
