  • Today we take a in depth look as to who the Union Cross traitor TRULY is and explore the origins of the events that led up to that specific moment. That's right, we may have been being decieved right along with the foretellers this entire time and its about time we let our hearts be our guiding key.

      Pretty much this.
He set up all the foretellers to fight amongst themselves to start a war to attract the darknesses to trap in the digital world. He removed four out of the equation by trapping them in the digital world, two were destroyed in the real Daybreak town and the last and most powerful of the seven darknesses are trapped within the Foretellers, with 2 more possibly being trapped within Luxu and then potentially MoM himself. Then a "new" darkness being born not part of the original 13 darknesses, which might be what possessed Ventus and is actually Vanitas.
I think this is all cumulating to the MoM in pursuit to destroying all darkness, orchestrated a long term plan from his ability to see into the future to basically perform multiple Ragnarök's and great tragedies so he can kill his students, himself and anyone or thing involved to destroy all the darkness from the world. While Vanitas is sort of a blind eye to the situation, since new Darknesses can be created. And the grief and terrible things MoM is doing to destroy all the original 13 true darknesses is in vein, once he completes his genocide. It will just lead to new darknesses to take the same place from the hearts of those he put through suffering.

It is implied that during the cut to Guia and then back to Luxu and Ava, Luxu revealed what he thought he knew. Namely, that there was no traitor and that the Foretellers were Darkness Bait. Ava takes that poorly and attacks, but if Luxu had just observed and kept his mouth shut, the Bell wouldn't have tolled. You know, the thing the Traitor causes.
Basically, Luxu doesn't believe the Master when he slips in their last conversation that he has a way to save the "sacrifices". He misread the Master's intentions, as the passage states. Further, The Master doesn't say their is no Traitor, he says mentioning a Traitor in the Book has purpose. I prepose The Master was talking in this way to obscure the fact that he is creating the Traitorous Luxu right at that point. He is getting Luxu and Us to assume their isn't a Traitor to make Luxu doubt. Planting the Seed.
Thus, Luxu has that conversation with Ava and tells her incomplete information. The Truth he believes. But we see regularly, Kingdom Hearts' characters believe in Truths that are wrong all the time i.e. Nobody cannot grow Hearts and shouldn't exist.
So, Luxu is the Seed of Mistaken Truth (Unintentional Lies) and acts accordingly. May your Heart be your guiding Key.

Speaking of Ava going rogue, here's my favorite theory: Xigbar/Braig/Bragi isn't Luxu. *He's Brain.* We know Brain survived his encounter with Luxu, and that Luxu passed his No Name down to him after explaining some of the goings on, and we know that Brain decided he was going to be a "glitch" in the system and has read the Book of Prophecies. What if he and Ava worked together to trick the Master of Masters by making him *think* that Luxu was the traitor, when in reality Luxu simply did as he was told. I mean, just look at the names - Braig. Bragi. Brain. They're practically identical names! Ava is known for impersonating other Masters, and Luxu explained what his role was (and thus how the MoM knows what he knows) so it would make sense if she came up with this idea with Brain.
(Speaking of Ava and her impersonations: did anyone else notice that Invi changed her color scheme at the end of KH3? She's usually blue, but in that scene her clothing changed... to pink.)

While I don't necessarily disagree, I have to point something out. Part of Luxu's role was to not interfere, right? But... Isn't he interfering by telling Ava all of that? Also, what about when Luxu sends the True Dandelion away? Or talking to (and saving?) Brain? The way I've read the situation is that Luxu, by learning of the Master's true goals, started acting on his own but still otherwise fulfilling his role because... Well, it was written. Luxu seemed pretty disturbed by the Master's plan and because what he observes would be seen by the Master and end up in the book, there's only so much he could do without the Master being aware. Even one of the Darknesses accuses Luxu of interfering, and even though Luxu says that is only in regards to the Dandelions, is that actually what the Master said? Even so he seems to have saved Brain so how is that not interfering? Like, I think Ava is -A- traitor in the sense that after learning the truth she might have gone on to do her own thing but it seems like Luxu is guilty of the same.

Weren't alliances forbidden, yet they were taking sides and in doubting each other they were all hoarding lux which was also against the Master's teachings, right? Still, they were all more or less trying to do what they were told instead of asking what was right. They didn't let their hearts be their guiding key, really.

To the Question what makes Luxu a traitor. Weeeeeeeellll....
How about talking over his role.
Fighting with Ava which is against his role.
The thing that he has the X in the name mentioned on the traitor page.
Or just the thing that naming him traitor makes it real that a traitor exists. The word itself is maybe meaningless for the master all he wanted is to describe Luxu in a vague way so that him making the actions "the traitor does" fulfill him as the traitor and brings the others to the conclusion there is someone betraying them.

    • @thegummiphone
      @thegummiphone 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

It really goes back to Hunchback of Notre Dame and the traitor thing becomes clear. Luxu is Quasimodo and was told to stay hidden. Quasimodo went to the Feast of Fools when Frollo told him to hide away in the Bell Tower. This is also why Xigbar’s Story is called “The Fool”. “That’s why you and this box need to stay out of sight”. The respective story which represents Lust is Cinderella. The Keyblade War was the Royal Ball, and Luxu actually wanted to be a part of it. We see him with the No Name Keyblade as Kingdom Hearts is summoned over the battle field.
However, Esmerelda and Phoebus represent both Ava and Gula. Frollo also calls Phoebus a traitor for saving a family from a burning building because of Frollo’s witch-hunt. And we know of course what Frollo thinks of Gypsies.
I suspect Gula to be the true “Traitor” not just for his desire to summon Kingdom Hearts, but because he is set up to be a gluttonous hero. He’s told not to trust his companions and basically some it all him self. He was set up maybe harder than anyone else. Gula is a show off like Zeus. Gula is Sora, Hercules represents Sora, ergo Gula’s thunder-like keyblade. Gula was the one with Ventus in the warehouse- because he was there just before Strelitzia was killed. The cutscene timeline lines up because of Strelitzia’s Chirithy looking for Player.
Darkness even says to Maleficent that they did not want her to find out what happens in Olympus’s story. Every world had a Princess except Olympus. The world’s story mostly focused on Hades, but Hades is like Darkness- immortal, based on an idea, kind of on fire, and shows up when you acknowledge them.

I actually do not believe Luxu or Ava is the traitor. I think the traitor is someone we are ALL very familiar with.
Let's recap. The foretellers work hard to prevent the Keyblade War and due to distrust and conflicting roles end up destroying the world and all their unions by fighting in one, but the bit at the end of the book of prophecies was all about how darkness would prevail and light would expire, which does happen. But NOT in their time. It's the fight against Xehanort that that happens.
Then Sora changes the timeline by abusing the Power of Waking.
Now, Sora had been given the sigil in Dream Drop Distance so that Xehanort could keep track of him during the Mark of Mastery Exam. Sora abused the Power of Waking and changed the timeline, something that the Master of Masters seemed to take into account.
Also, while doing so, Sora encountered an entity calling itself Darkness when he went into Ven's heart during this segment. I honestly believe that Darkness went from possessing Ventus to possessing Sora in this instance.
The Master of Masters told Darkness that there was a realm beyond his imagination, where neither darkness nor light existed, not in the way it exists in the Kingdom Hearts universe.
Sora, in Quadratum, a realm on the other side of reality, does not have darkness in it. Yet a darkseid forms in the trailer and Sora is fighting it while the Master watches.
What if Sora brought Darkness to a realm where darkness had not existed before because Darkness possessed Sora. Sora, bearing the sigil, would be the traitor.

I like to think that MoM was being literal. Luxu is a traitor, not to everyone else but to the MoM himself. I doubt Luxu's body hopping has gone unnoticed by MoM, and given the fact that MoM has the eye on everything that has happened so far and effectively going to happen implies 2 things:
    1. He knows exactly what everyone is going to do.
    2. There is an END to the story/the No Name keyblade itself.
So when MoM says Luxu is the "Traitor," he *could* be talking about being one to the Union leaders or he could be referring to something in the distant future. A choice that Luxu makes in the end. As for the No Name and the Book of Prophecy, I bet it'll be destroyed the moment everyone else realizes what it is, or at least that'll become the priority. Because once it's gone, MoM can no longer see the future.

I mean...did he not quite literally betray the forces of Darkness that thought him an ally?

I think Luxu is The Traitor, but specifically, he is betraying The Truce The Master of Masters and Darkness made in their Little Game. The End of the Game says Darkness is to Win the Game. So, The Master is setting up Luxu to run inference against this Truce Contract because Luxu thinks he knows better. By doing this, he stumbled right into what The Master wanted in the first place.
He wanted Luxu's actions to create the Child of Destiny, the one who takes the Darkness Worldline away from Darkness.
Luxu is how the Master of Masters "cheats". Luxu will make moves that, for example, allow Brain to survive. This allow Eraqus to exist, and meet Xehanort. Xehanort created the Child of Destiny through his villian arc.
But Luxu will think he is doing these things of his own Will, and thus, the Darkness inside Luxu won't think the Master is Cheating.

I feel like the mere mention of a traitor created the traitor. A weird paradox. Mom planted the seeds of distrust, and in a sense I think everyone became a “traitor” at some point. Hence their names pointing to the themes of what causes them individually to falter.

Luxu isn't really traitor to the other Foretellers, pretty much all of them did things that violated what the Master told them to do. Regardless, the Master still specifically refers to Luxu as the traitor. It's one of the only instances we know he's telling the truth in this instance due to him being alone. The Master has been playing a careful game with Luxu, constantly feeding temptation in his heart to disobey his orders. Prime example being how he tells Luxu that he is allowed to watch over the Union Leaders, but that he cannot interfere. In the end, Luxu violates that order and meddles. The Master knew Luxu would disobey him and intended him to do so, Luxu even seems to infer this intention as well. At this point, it's also apparent that Luxu was being dishonest in his KH3 reports about having handed the Gazing Eye to one of the Union Leaders. It's likely that he stole Brain's body and kept the Gazing Eye for quite a long while after (I think he did this to save Brain btw, likely sending his heart into the future where he arrives safely in Scala with a new body and his memories intact). It's likely that the cloaked figure with the Gazing Eye seen in the Missing Link trailer is also Luxu. I also doubt Luxu was ever "keybladeless" as he claims. He has another keyblade in Dark Road. And it's likely that he had an original keyblade of his own prior to the Master giving him the Gazing Eye. Luxu was already a fully trained master by that point, so it makes very little sense that this was his first keyblade. He'd also need a keyblade to be able to transfer his heart into other bodies too. Plus he comes to learn at least some of the information written in the book that he was ordered not to read (such as the existence of a "Dark Seeker").

I like the way you think, man. This was all really interesting and intriguing. I've narrowed it down to two instances happening.
Either A), The Master of Masters made up the "traitor" role. And, planted this seed within them (Foretellers) to get the gears going on "Fate."
Remember, Young Xehanort mentions this in his diatribe about "TIme Travel."
You "cannot" forcefully change Fate. The events that are meant to happen WILL Happen.
Thus, I feel this is why the Master of Masters planted this seed. So, he could tip the scales of Fate and begin his "plan".
Or, B) there really is a traitor. And, it will eventually be shown to be either Luxu or someone in Sora's gang.
I feel these two are eventually going to happen and be shown. Maybe just one of them. But, we will eventually see what this meant in the future.
I'm just anxious to see what's in this Black Box! For God's Sake!!! Lmfao 😅. We've been waiting for years now!

Anyway, I tend to agree with all of this almost entirely...yet, I still trust the Master's vision and plan, but I also wonder if Sora will find a way to willpower the darkness away without losing the masters. You know Sora! He's not the best with a keyblade and not a master of the power of waking, but still wills himself to greater heights to save his friends, both in combat and with cutscene powers, and even rewrote time twice. If anyone can surprise the Master, it's him.

There is more light than darkness in that timeline, and it flipped over to darkness in the future, which starts in the keyblade war and birth by sleep

And about The Master of Masters making the Foretellers feel true Darkness Emotions, you forgot Luxu has to feel them, too. The Master explains Luxu has to use a Dark Corridor to escape the Worlds Destruction. Which means he must harbor the Darkness Lust.
So, the Master is using what he says about the passage to do what he did to the other five Foretellers but in a different direction. The Idea that there was no Traitor but The Master made the Five think their was,(making them Darkness Bait) causes Luxu to have Traitorous Angry thoughts about the Master and Darkness's Games. That draws Darkness in.
Thus, Luxu becomes the Traitor, and a Dark Vessel.

I don’t think the master made up the lost page, betrayal happened but like Gula said - it was very vague and you could say most of the apprentices made betrayals in their own right. Ava’s is clear, Aced and Gula formed an alliance as well as Aced saying they had to go against the masters teachings, and Invi was like a spy for Ira. I can’t think of Ira’s though 🧐

I already knew this. The MOM lied and manipulated X events into happening. Once it was written, all that was needed was a catalyst, a trigger to sound the canons of war. By enforcing his will into the Foretellers and grooming them, he was able to seed the darkness within them and allow the war to happen as written.
Luxu was a victim. The Foretellers were the true vessels of Darkness, allowing it to seed and spread further into the hearts of all those in Daybreak Town. Player having the power of Dawn, was also a pawn in this sick game. Having been manipulated the entire time and forced to watch all those dear to him die.
Player reincarnated becoming Blue Hood, while his Darkness melted away into Xehanort. The War began over again. The Master intended for the Darkness to win, and for the war to start in the future, but it all began in the past.

Yeah. I always knew he was the villian. He lied to the foretellers so that he could sow doubt and negative emotions between them. He's trying to make true darkness appear. I have a theory on what the master of master's ultimate goal. Perhaps his goal is to "reset" the world. He said he was planning for the world's destruction. So he could be planning to get the entire world destroyed so that he could create a new one where there's no darkness in people's hearts. The Black Box seems to be part of his plan. But no one knows it's contents. I think he also needs Kingdom Hearts for his plan to work. If my theory is correct, then the question is why would the master do all of this?
