- After lapping both cars we were intrigued to compare the laps side by side. On track the Civic felt far more focused and intentional while the Golf felt punchy and felt far more comfortable. From behind the wheel the Civic did feel like the quicker car on track but as you'll see the end result was surprisingly close.

Tyre pressure were set at:
32 PSI (hot) in the Civic, and
36 PSI (hot) in the Golf.
This is awesome. Good editing. What’s your take on both cars when it comes to driving them to their limits? Some cars are fun, other feel like a workout, others feel like you’re trying not to die or lose control.
For me the Type R is all about entry speed whereas the Golf thrives come corner exit. The Civic is louder and the ride is firmer and the manual box means you have more to do - some people will love that. The Golf takes far less effort and beats you up less but, thanks to the new AWD system, it never feels boring. Both are incredibly capable on track and brilliant fun! 👍

Would love to see what the cars can do on the exact same tires type and specs width 255 on both cars. 🤔
Would be better for golf r to use the same spec of tires as the rs3 265 front and 245 rear with the same tires as the type r and for sure it will do a difference.

How do you feel about the fl5’s Nurburgring record? I saw you drive with Misha and him mention you in his video concerning the lap time.
It was a truly fantastic lap but there are discrepancies between the spec of the record car and the regular production car. We'll need to wait and see whether Honda address these discrepancies with the forthcoming S variant.
imo it has no record since no one can buy that car.
