The thing is, Call of Duty used to be good. Modern Warfare and MW2 were freaking sweet. So were basically all the games before that. The franchise kind of went downhill after that though.

That would really suck for people stacking on Playstation 3 and Xbox360 videogames, given the fact that there are tons of remastered versions, the history of VHS to Dvd and Dvd to Blueray will happen all over again, and old recent videogames will not get that high in prices.

I live in Texas near Houston, most of the retro stores are going away. It kills me cause I collect games.
Surprisingly there are three retro stores that are in the current city I live in here in Fayetteville, NC. Pro Gaming, Angry Comics, and Tokyo Retro Gaming (which just opened a few months ago). Each store also does repairs as well which is good. Tokyo Retro Gamin actually has more imports than U.S version stuff including a television with a built in famicom.

2:48 Deus Ex: HR for $3.50. It's a sad state when a game that awesome, is being sold for bargain bin prices, while some hot pile of other SquareEnix s**t, sells for 50 times more.
As a Dues ex fan, which game would you recommend playing after the original 2000 game? I played it and it's honestly became one of my favorites of all time, but I'm afraid the later games are going to tone down the RPG elements too much.

I went to both of these stores earlier this month when visiting Seattle, this definitely makes me miss the area. Awesome challenge, though! I liked the Loco Roco games quite a bit but I'm surprised Loco Roco 2 was rated that high on Metacritic.
Shouldve just picked up a 360/PS3 game for an easy win. GTAIV, mass effect 2, Uncharted 2, Gears of War, etc. All 95+ on metacritic and under $5
I think the point was to find games that maybe people haven't played for under $5

So, Without actually looking anything up yet, My first thought would have been the orange box collection. Great games, it was a large print run so it's not rare. I think you could probably pretty easily snag it for ~5$
The thing I love about this channel is the quality of the videos, like this one is easily TV quality.

You guys should all go to a game store with a similar challenge in mind. Buy a game for under $10 that you've never played, take them home and play them together, then vote on which one was the best.

You ever shell out top whack for a game, and you play it for like 6-10 hours and put it back in the shelf and never touch it again?
And then you get that game which you handed over mere pocket change for, yet you play it for like a hundred hours and get like 50x your moneys worth?
So many games appear on Steam without anyone noticing that are amazing gems. And if you are into Japanese style games (Shmups, JRPGs etc) you would be amazed how many are released without any media attention. What I want to say is that the price, development budget, even the name of the company publishing it, mean almost nothing.
I bought clannad in the steam sale a couple of months ago, payed £/$10 for it, and I love it so much much I've been playing [or reading, it's a VN] it for like 60-70 hours.
I saw the anime first so I found it a bit pointless getting the VN as well. 60-70 hours? Does it really take that long to finish?
I am currently watching the anime because I loved the VN so much. Although the anime is very well done [so far as I have watched] the VN is much better in my opinion. There are so many parts and story elements that were cut out for the anime. The VN is very dynamic because you can make lot's of different choices to change how the story goes.
And no lol it didn't take me that long, the longest "route" is about 10 hours, some others are much shorter. It just depends how much you wanna get out of it. You could get a great experience just playing one or two routes, I just enjoyed it much more than I thought I would so I'm trying to 100% it.
This is coming from a guy that was repulsed at the thought of reading a VN for even 10 hours. Doki Doki changed my opinion on VN's I guess.
There’s some games you’ll just not get into. That’s why I’d be careful when picking up new releases.
There is actually low rated games that is good....I have a good example in Kengo (PS2) which got mediocre reviews but is actually a hidden gem in my book.

Great challenge. I grew up with Legacy of the Wizard, fun game. I used to play the hell out of CoD: MW2 & Black Ops 2 for Zombie Mode.

@referral madness first black ops was my fav and had HOURS dumped into it didnt have internet but took it to a friends house yo download the WaW zombies maps so i played the campaign, zombies and multiplayer against the cpu for longer than i can remember

for some reason buying a PSP game feels like it is christmas for example whenever i get a new one it fills me with so much joy and excitement because i have about 17 games for the PSP and they are all really good and when i get a new one i know i am going to have a blast playing it although my psp is getting a bit older so once it dies (knock on wood that it doesn´t) i found one for super duper cheap with 107 games installed so i might go for that one :)

technically, the criteria wasn't whether the game was "better" but rather the one with the "higher metacritic score".
so, it's quite possible that black ops 2 might be a better game than modern warfare 2. . .but i have not played anything in those series at all, so i wouldn't know
