Yeah, you don't really see that too much any more and I appreciate some people just need a job, but it's nice to see people be passionate about the product they are selling. I like getting in to conversations with those people.
I don't know...that whole bit about "educating" people on the Famicom made it pretty clear she doesn't like people having different interests from hers. I wouldn't want someone like that anywhere near a game store.
MJR. So I wanted to let you and Kelsey know that you two are responsible for my PS Vita. My wife found your Vita video and watched it figuring out which one to get me. She told me she LOVED how Kelsey wasn't there for eye candy, how she contributed to the video and how passionate she is for gaming. Also in the evenings we might put on youtube, and one thing I personally love is the swearing is very minimal. Our 7 year old watches with us so it's nice to know that we don't need to grab the mute button even 10 seconds. Thanks so much for all you do. Be well and keep collecting!
So what if it was an ad (not saying it was). We need to spotlight local gaming stores. Spread the love. I would actually love to see a whole series that showcased independent videogame stores.
Corporations suck the souls out it of their workers it’s so sad anytime I ask what it’s like to work there they’re super honest but you can tell they have a passion but the corporations don’t really give a flying fuck about that.
I hope that day comes very soon when Game Stop fails. Funcoland, kinda used to have this same feel, but nothing beats stores like Pink Gorilla. It also reminds me of Comic Book shops in NYC, when they were small and you actually developed a relationship with the owners who were passionate about their hobby.
If you visit the Seattle area, definitely check out our retro game stores: Pink Gorilla Games, Another Castle, Al's Music And Video Games, Game Over, Game Lobster, Amazing Heroes and many more!
MetalJesusRocks As someone who used to live in West Seattle and Federal Way, I will say Pink Gorilla is rad, Al's Music and Video Games is bad, and Game Lobster is rad besides the fact that it is a total hoarders pigsty that one might catch hepatitis in LOL

When my best friend and I were in college 10 years ago, he was out studying in Seattle. I remember going out to visit him for Thanksgiving break and we had such a blast! He knew I was really getting into retro game collecting at the time and said, "I have this store to show you, it's called Pink Gorilla." We went to the shop in the international district that Kelsey mentioned at the end. I spent a lot of money on different games for my NES, Saturn, N64, Dreamcast, and Super Nintendo collections. I even got a t-shirt that I still use to this day. That was one of the best trips of my life and that's definitely one of the coolest retro/import game stores I've ever been to.
The PS2 and Xbox are still very playable by today's standards as well. Most the time you won't be saying you can't play this game because the graphics are too dated, unless you are a teenager or younger I suppose.
Dont feel like it was an ad at all. We all come here to see new things or something we haven't seen in awhile. I really enjoy seeing things like this. You guys are awesome
I’ve been to both Pink Gorillas and even met Kelsey once. She was really nice and even gave me an autograph after I told her I was a fan. It took me a while to build up the courage to ask for it tho
Kelsey has nothing to worry about, she's great and the store looks amazing. You always emphasize your love and knowledge of gaming culture, so this feels like a really cool and natural way to share what she does. Love the casual inviting vibe of this channel, always knowledgeable and always so genuine.
The way you have layed out your store is incredible anyone would feel like there in a game just being in your store Certainly would draw anyone going past your store in like a magnet amazing looking store and what a great collection of retros and modern truly great
This video was perfect as I was visiting Seattle for the first time in the Queen Anne area. Prices were great compared to what Denver, CO has to offer. This is a must stop for any video game fan.
For the longest time there was only one retro gaming store in my whole tri-state area. And it just closed down recently and I was super bummed. There are a couple that opened up a little while before the one closed down, but it was still awful that it did close down. They were the first in my area and they were very instrumental in keeping retro games available to collectors. They always had great stuff, the staff(basically one guy the owner and a guy and girl that were super young who just worked a few hours in the morning and Mondays when really nobody was going in) we're very knowledgeable and friendly and very reasonable and fair with buying and selling, they had a very cool selection of stuff. They didn't just buy and sell video games, they dealt in all types of retro toys, and even some modern toys, Legos, Pokemon, he-man TMNT etc. action figures. Probably the coolest part of the store, Game Swap, was they had two big chests full of loose toys that they sold for like .10-.25 cents a piece, but they let the little kids play with them while the parents shopped for their favorite games and toys from their childhoods. What a great store. I hope they open back up somewhere. They were in one of the local malls, but hopefully they find a decent location to open shop again.
Like I mentioned above there are a few more in my area now, but they are so expensive and rude and not very knowledgeable, some old lady manages one of them and she doesn't know anything about the stuff she's selling in her store. She is probably better now, but it used to be you could only sell them stuff on Mondays and Wednesdays when the owner would be there because she had no clue what the stuff ppl bring in is or what it might be worth. Even though they have the websites that show the values and stock available for most items. The other shop is much better but even they have some serious problems. For one, they are only open 4 days a week and Wednesdays they're only open for 4 hours in the afternoon when most people are at work. Their location is very far from me also, which is only an issue for me, some ppl probably love the location, obviously. Why I'm saying all this I have no idea. I think I'm just bored and feel like talking about BULLSHIT.
There isn't a way in the infinite universe of possibilities that I won't be going there if I'm ever in Seattle. I just turned the video on for like 1 minute and am very impressed. Well done store by obviously passionate people. Wow.
Hi. That's the nicest, most organized retro shop I've ever seen (there are some here but it's desolated looking and not so polite owners, sadly but still thankful they're there- nothing and nobody's perfect). I like the japan style wall of SNES. God bless, Proverbs 31
True, but even after tax, which is less than 10% in all states, that's still only another $20, I would happily pay $220 (£157) for that :D Hell, I need to get new Joy Con, there is no way I'm paying UK Prices, I'm importing from Japan, where the price is £30 cheaper, even with shipping, it's a much better deal
Really? That much cheaper JoyCons? Woah..... Yeah shipping can be expensive, plus the customs (in Finland, I mean. Not sure about England). It is what it is. Americans are lucky with prices+availability of goods, ALWAYS. But it's fine, just gotta pay up. Need to pay a little more in Europe. I can't buy from foreign countries like the US, huge shipping costs+customs rapes me.
Wish I had stores around me like this in New Hampshire....... All game stores around me are modern games and stuff. Im a SNES, GBA and SEGA nerd, since thats what I grew up with
SuperDan I hear ya! I'm from NY but would take vacation 10 min away by Weirs Beach. Fun Spot holds dear, fond memories. I took my bf there for his Bachelor Party lol
This is really interesting for us viewers who live overseas, to have the opportunity to go on Pink Gorilla virtual tour. Hopefully one day I will go over there myself. Greetings from Spain!
It's really interesting for some of us domestic viewers as well. Some of us don't have the time, money or opportunity to travel even within N. America unless it is to see family. The caveat can be that our family doesn't live on the west coast of the U.S. so we will probably never see The Pink Gorilla in the flesh.
"Cardboard crack" lmfao. If I'm ever up there I'd love to stop by! The store looks colorful and inviting! Appreciated the tour! Much love from Florida!
One of the things that is noticeable is this store is very clean and organized. I ve been to independent game stores that are trashed and ran by slobs. If I can ever get to Seattle I'll have to stop by, I think my kids would really enjoy going their.
Hugo Merckx i live in nyc. We dont have any cool stores like pink gorilla. Plus things are more expensive over here. Seattle is definitely the place to be if you want to game hunt.
Badguy10472 yeah, I'm from Belgium, Europe, the only places where I'm able to pick up some older games are sites like Craig's List, garage sales and thrift stores... There are almost none retro gaming stores.
Always wanted to go to the PG. Next time I'm up in Seattle I will be there!! Awesome video. That place is huge, yet very well organized!! Thx MJR & Kelsey!
My cousin lives there (and aunt used to). I'm there every couple years. You know the next time I'm there that I'll be hitting you up. I'll let you know as soon as we have anything planned! :-)
Finally got a chance to visit this store. I'm from Canada, and we were in the Seattle area visiting some Friends. And I had to come check out the store. It's an awesome store. My son and I picked up a couple games.
Kelsey certainly knows her stuff. I love how she also spot a fake from a genuine product as seen in your video where she opens up cartridges and points out some obvious omissions and some not so obvious tricks used by forgers.
You guys are soooo spoiled in the Seattle area!! I wish there was ONE store like this in my area (southern New Hampshire). We have some cool shops, but none with this kind of overhead! Great vid guys!! :)
Kelsey is freaking amazing! Please tell her that. This was an awesome tour. Also, please tell her thanks for displaying the prices of the products. I hate when people hide them. This totally makes me want to save up and go to Seattle and support. Can't wait.
We have only one retro store in Minneapolis and it is seriously awful. I once went in and the owner was threatening to fight the manager for paying the employees. Pink Gorilla looks amazing, how do you have 11 Local game stores??????????? It's so weird how there are thriving communities of gamers in certain places but not in others.. as far as I know people love games the same everywhere. If it wasn't so damn cloudy all the time, I might have considered Seattle as a next place to live...but GO KELSEY, would be AWESOME to visit this store some day. Thanks MJR!
Several of the game companies are in that area (Microsoft and Nintendo). They almost certainly have a larger number of gamers around there, not to mention former employees and such that would trade their stuff in.
Minneapolis has so many things going for it, but sadly, retro game stores is definitely not one of them. Are you referring to Heroic Games on Hiawatha?
I love finding game stores where ever I go and just walk around and browse. maybe pick up few games. Love the setup of the store, looks really clean and well put together.
Yes, it's very true. That's the difference between a corporation and someone who opens up a video game store because they care about it. Very specific difference.
Wow, I had no idea Retro gaming was as big a thing as to generate enough business for a store like that. Then to have owners that are so passionate and dedicated that they provide and preserve everything in the way you've done is just amazing. Having access to peripherals is really good too and I imagine there's somewhere to get stuff fixed as well? In Ireland Retro gaming is around but it's such a small market you can't get anything. You only really see random stuff being sold by old people who are cleaning out their garage at a car boot sale or whatever and they have a bunch of junk that was their kids. Some of them know retro gaming is a thing but have no idea of values so they just jack prices up to ridiculous amounts. Its cool to see it being such a thing. Thanks for showing us your store. If I ever visit Seattle (I'm a big grunge fan so I'd love to) I'll be sure to stop by!
I was always curious about seeing that store!! Thanks Metal Jesus for that tour. Too bad I'm all the way in California. But i will make an effort to plan a trip there. Its like my new hangout spot if I'm in the area. :) Love to collect retro games
Kelsey's Pink Gorilla store Looks absolutely Amazing and filled to the rafters with Gaming Greatness !!! If I lived out there I'd be broke. Buying so many games on such a variety of consoles and the Prices looked amazing also. Thank you for this Awesome Store tour.
I just went by this store and the one in international district today. I bought a PS3 and both of these stores have amazing selection! If you’re in Seattle you have to stop by here
This was fantastic! I love seeing stores like this, even thought of opening up my own. However a lot of places shutdown because game prices are too high or trade ins are too low etc etc.

She is so right about PS2, and XBox. So many great games, and not expensive.
hatthewmartley Out of all the amazing games on the PS2 you shout out Destroy All Humans haha.
Mecha-Zaius halo 2 made me so happy in the days
The PS2 and Xbox are still very playable by today's standards as well. Most the time you won't be saying you can't play this game because the graphics are too dated, unless you are a teenager or younger I suppose.
I just there last week. Got some cool games while I was there.
...next pickups video ;)
MetalJesusRocks indeed 🙃
More MetalJesus and Reggie ! The world needs it !!
Thank You @Radical Reggie for the Wild Arms Reloaded review in one of your previous videos. I picked up the game today for 18$ :)
Any ngpc games?🤗
Dont feel like it was an ad at all. We all come here to see new things or something we haven't seen in awhile. I really enjoy seeing things like this. You guys are awesome

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Aero7SVR I mean...... she is really damned cute.
I can feel my bank account draining just watching this!
Thanks so much!! That's very cool of you to say.
Physical game stores are awesome
Kelsey seems like a genuine person, would love to visit that store..
this store looks absolutely amazing i wish i lived in the area i would love to visit this store so much amazing games wow
I’ve walked by that store before, I’ve never been in before. I’m TOTALLY going next time I’m there!!
Omg. If I ever get rich, I am flying over to you immediately and buying half your store. This is amazing! 😍
Everything is so............ pink......... but the amount of games and collectible goodies is magnificent! I could spend hours browsing that place :)
Just spent two weeks in Japan and came home thinking all American video game shops are crap. I've been proven wrong! Awesome store!
TheJD Yup! Plus 2 in Osaka and one by Sunshine City. 😃
The way you have layed out your store is incredible anyone would feel like there in a game just being in your store
Certainly would draw anyone going past your store in like a magnet amazing looking store and what a great collection of retros and modern truly great
I was pleasantly surprised that the prices of most of the games there were fair. I'd gladly buy that launch team Xbone for 200 bucks!
This video was perfect as I was visiting Seattle for the first time in the Queen Anne area. Prices were great compared to what Denver, CO has to offer. This is a must stop for any video game fan.
Kelsey is awesome, professional, passionate and adorable. Her store deserves recognition
I think I'm just bored and feel like talking about BULLSHIT.
aww man, I wish you guys had a closer location. I'm like at the opposite end of the map.
@J L wdym
Yeah I'm far away as well. They do have sales on Twitch once a month. Next one is Feb 1st. You can buy almost anything in the store online that night.
Just use fast travel man
There isn't a way in the infinite universe of possibilities that I won't be going there if I'm ever in Seattle.
Man, I wish there were stores as amazing and fair priced as this in the UK! $200 for the Xbone is amazing! That would probably be like £300 over here
Ric Pendragon don't forget tax after that. And yes UK shops are overpriced (live here)
True, but even after tax, which is less than 10% in all states, that's still only another $20, I would happily pay $220 (£157) for that :D
Hell, I need to get new Joy Con, there is no way I'm paying UK Prices, I'm importing from Japan, where the price is £30 cheaper, even with shipping, it's a much better deal
So not true ric! That's obviously a used xbox I've seen xbox ones in game stores that are used for under £200
For a normal Xbone maybe, but this was a Launch Team 2013 model. CEX charges around £150-200 for a normal base console, so like $220-280 lol
Going to Seattle this summer and I can't wait to drop by this store!
I live all the way in Boston but I would travel to Seattle just to meet Kelsey 😊
LMAO at somebody trying to steal Fox
Parker I would steal her not fox

Respectable prices and a genuinely passionate co-owner. Nice to see.
Wish I had stores around me like this in New Hampshire....... All game stores around me are modern games and stuff. Im a SNES, GBA and SEGA nerd, since thats what I grew up with

You have Fun Spot ....
that is true

I hear ya! I'm from NY but would take vacation 10 min away by Weirs Beach. Fun Spot holds dear, fond memories. I took my bf there for his Bachelor Party lol
dallas is full of these stores, really awesome
This is really interesting for us viewers who live overseas, to have the opportunity to go on Pink Gorilla virtual tour. Hopefully one day I will go over there myself. Greetings from Spain!
It's really interesting for some of us domestic viewers as well. Some of us don't have the time, money or opportunity to travel even within N. America unless it is to see family. The caveat can be that our family doesn't live on the west coast of the U.S. so we will probably never see The Pink Gorilla in the flesh.
I hope her business is super successful! I love these small shops. Gives a place personality!
Seems like everything is reasonably priced there. Been other places and Wii motes would still be $40+.....used.
I saw a wiimote used for 20 at book man's
Edit: just to let you know it was in Arizona
"Cardboard crack" lmfao.
If I'm ever up there I'd love to stop by! The store looks colorful and inviting! Appreciated the tour! Much love from Florida!
One of the things that is noticeable is this store is very clean and organized. I ve been to independent game stores that are trashed and ran by slobs. If I can ever get to Seattle I'll have to stop by, I think my kids would really enjoy going their.
I've just paused at 30 seconds in to thank you for bringing back the old intro!
Wow, no retro store in my area has anything close to that selection...soo lucky
I been watching you all for a few months now and gotta say I can dig it. Thank you for all the uploads, knowledge, and laughs.
I want to visit that store so badly
You been to Seattle before?
My cousin lives there (and aunt used to). I'm there every couple years. You know the next time I'm there that I'll be hitting you up. I'll let you know as soon as we have anything planned! :-)
Smash JT is your cousin named Vinnie?
Radical Reggie haha nah. Stacey
I made sure to visit this store when I went to Seattle. The prices were excellent. One of the coolest video game shops I have been to.
I love the metal Jesus crew. You guys always make my day
Yes! Couldn’t have said it better myself!
This is one of your best videos. Super interesting.
Finally got a chance to visit this store. I'm from Canada, and we were in the Seattle area visiting some Friends. And I had to come check out the store. It's an awesome store. My son and I picked up a couple games.
Always a pleasure to watch Kelsey, I wish I lived close to visit that amazing store!
I'm from italy and everything look so cheap compare to italian price. I would definitely buy 90% of the of the stuff lol
Ciao amico tutto bene? Io sto imparando italiano
@@Carlos-fi3xr tutto bene, e tu ? Buona fortuna con l'italiano :D
Same as in Germany. Used gaming stuff appears to be much cheaper in the US than in Europe. I wonder why that is
This is because of that kind of places that I hope physical games never dies. Great store.
very fair prices. nice looking store. well lit. plenty of room. thx for the video
We need a story about Fox Mcclouds robbery!
Dynastone Fox was stolen , the end.
Kelsey certainly knows her stuff. I love how she also spot a fake from a genuine product as seen in your video where she opens up cartridges and points out some obvious omissions and some not so obvious tricks used by forgers.
I literally see Toukon Retsuden 2 for N64 on that wall - a wrestling game I don't have.
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games Yeah Kelsey, hook ya brother up with a discount 😂😉
John Riggs: RIGG'd Games Hope you get the game
I want that SNES one with Haggar from final fight in !!
Can't wait.
Very good shop and good display. So many choices , i like the fact you sell imported games !!!!
This is a great point. I declare that the solution shall be to have several game companies in ALL AREAS. Metal Jesus 2020!
Pacific Northwest = Land of Liberals
M C Fuck liberals
Minneapolis has so many things going for it, but sadly, retro game stores is definitely not one of them. Are you referring to Heroic Games on Hiawatha?
I love finding game stores where ever I go and just walk around and browse. maybe pick up few games. Love the setup of the store, looks really clean and well put together.
Damn, I was just in Seattle and walked right by your store! Missed out!
Better than GameStop
Game Stop throws out their game boxes, manuals, and a whole bunch of other things.
inlovewithi Really?
Arz2003 yes its true. so sad and angering!
Ive been going in there for years! They are amazing! They sometimes have a free box with random controllers and game accessories.
How do you walk out with a Starfox statue?
carefully
by barrel rolling out of the store.
ian hayes: must be an inside job
You do a barrel roll

I just went by this store and the one in international district today. I bought a PS3 and both of these stores have amazing selection! If you’re in Seattle you have to stop by here

Don't trust this guy, he's a brony.
I had to check Jayyy's pp to understand why "having eyes too far apart" was so problematic for him. And I got my answer.
TheJD Bae (Before anyone else) so literally setting priority for people xD
Jazking95Plays I met her at Sakura con last March and she was an awesome individual in person
This was fantastic! I love seeing stores like this, even thought of opening up my own. However a lot of places shutdown because game prices are too high or trade ins are too low etc etc.
I don't live in Seattle, WA. I live in North Carolina. But if I was in the Seattle area, I would be in this store all the time. I would be a regular customer. This store looks amazing.
