I think it’s great how Kelsey mentioned multiple times that all cartridge games that have a save battery, get it changed out when taken in to be sold. I don’t know of any “retro game” stores around me that do this. Great selling point and info to the customer.
The fact that they put new save batteries in their GameBoy games automatically makes them the best game store I have ever seen. I have been burned too many times on the save batteries from second hand stores, I don't even buy GB games anymore.

Very nice tour, Kelsey & MJR. The store looks great. I watched Cody fumble around a couple evenings by himself trying to put shelves together. The one glass case had no directions so I looked up a pdf and said, “Dude, there’s a pdf online.” Then he found it and got to work… and visited that awesome ice cream shop across the street. That place looks freaking amazing! 😋 It was a fun couple of hours watching. Thanks again for the tour, The place is gorgeous. 😎😎😎 ~Doctor Scott
I got to go to Seattle last month for work and I swung by this new location before I had to head home. The staff were so incredibly nice and helpful. It was such a great shopping experience. :)
Excited that this is right around the corner from my son's apartment and business. We'll have to stop by soon! Total respect for Kelsey for her tenacity and business expansion!

That store looks awesome and I wish Kelsey and Cody loads of luck for this new location. I wish we had stuff like this where I live. Especially across the street from ice cream 😂
Huge thumbs up for not scalping/price gouging the newest console generation. I had to stop going to our only local game store because for the first 18 months of the PS5 release, they were the only place in town I was seeing those systems and they were charging $700-800. The new store looks amazing! Congrats to the Pink Gorilla family.
I know Kelsey is probably not a gun person but she should get one. A pump action shotgun is always a good defense weapon. I got one hanging above my bed and I love it.
This is seriously one of the most impressive game store setups I've ever seen... We have a similar game store in Loveland but that game store would be the equivalent of AAA baseball and this is Major League baseball right here with this Pink gorilla games...
They're setting a heck of an example for others to try and keep up with. All the work they're doing makes sense when there can be so much downtime in retail work. Constantly testing, fixing and repairing things is an incredible service to the entire gaming community.
@@bbloomfield6497 it doesn't hurt either that Kelsey seems like such an angel. You can tell that she put her heart and soul into the store and I love the Japanese aesthetic! The title is listed as Kelsey’s new store. Kelsey might be partners with pink gorilla and work behind the scenes but, I give Cody Spencer a firm hand shake for running that place. His hard work and dedication are why pink gorilla is still on the map!!
That storage area is cleaner and more organized than most storefronts! You can clearly see that Kelsey is truly passionate about her business, awesome!
Everything about how this store was organized, to where you relocated it and why, to the overall vibe, is just A+ to me, and I am a former video game store manager. Awesome job folks!
I’m happy for them for opening their third store and recovering from the assholes that broke in and stole from them. Unfortunately I’m in the other side of the country because I live in Miami, Florida but I’ll be checking them out online and would love to go to the stores if I ever visit Seattle. Thanks for the video, Metal Jesus.
As an East Coast native, I've been dying to get out to the West Coast to check out the various game stores and conventions there. Seems like such a vibrant, thriving gaming community there. If I can ever grow my channel big enough, I'd LOVE to meet some of these West Coast TH-camrs as well.
That's so great of you to show her whole store on TH-cam. I love Pink Gorilla. They have great prices, great stuff and staff are very friendly. I came to Seattle on vacation 2022 and I went to both stores and bought lots of games but sad I didn't see Kelsey or Metal Jesus would have loved to take a picture with both of them. I am a fan of Kelsey and Metal Jesus. One thing I was wish was that Pink Gorilla would sell all there stuff online as well because I am from Canada and can't come to Seattle all the time.
As someone with not much money, I love to browse game stores, but I usually end up just buying stuff online because the prices are cheaper. However, this place looks amazing, and I would love to support their business! It feels like they put a lot of thought and care into everything (along with offering unique stuff), and the prices also look very good! (Obviously physical stores have to mark up somewhat in order to make a profit, but there are stores that mark up way too high without putting in any effort to at least, say, clean the games, replace save batteries, resurface discs if needed, etc.)
Store looks beautiful, even has great curb appeal, glad they are thriving and it's great they didn't let the a-holes who ripped them off break them and make them give up on their other location. I visited the website after I saw that Powerpros Japan Vita baseball game, would be interesting in buying but looks like the only inventory they have listed online is just memorabilia. Great opportunity there for online sales.
Wait !? Kelsey made the pink gorilla kit!? Every time I watch metaljesus and Kelsey. I love them more and more. Wish I lived closer . Would practically live in your store
Congrats Kelsey! I used to live in Bellevue and would visit your store regularly always great! I have moved away now but anytime im in Seattle ill make sure to pop in again!
I went to Seattle a couple of weeks ago to meet Anthrax and Black Label Society at the Paramount. I was completely stunned to find Pink Gorilla (Capital Hill) just across the road from the hotel I was staying at. I only went because I know it's been mentioned on this channel as a go-to location in Seattle but I was blown away. I found the other Pink Gorilla location (university area) by accident and then decided to go to the 3rd one also. I bought some PS1 games to play on my import PS2 back in the UK but I was hoping to either see Kelsey or Metal Jesus at one of the 3 stores I had visited (I didnt) but it was still worth the trip and video aside, it's much better to see it up close in person... there's so much cool stuff to check out here 😊
I used to go to school in that neighborhood and would have been SO psyched to be able to visit the store after class! Very happy for the business, I have always loved going to the U-District store when I lived in Seattle and I have multiple fond memories of going there, plus my youngest sibling recently became a fan after visiting the Int’l District location. So happy Capitol Hill gets to have a Pink Gorilla now, such an exciting addition to that neighborhood! You’ve got a lot of students (high school & college) and also older, more nostalgic nerds around there, and some of the record shops always had tons of hidden gems for a collector (despite focusing more on records and used movies) so the market is definitely there, plenty of people who will trade in and buy games from all generations. I really hope business goes well and will be sure to check the new store out next time I visit home! ❤️
I'm genuinely happy for you guys! I don't follow you regularly anymore due to... life and never might be able to visit you due to... living in germany. But still! You rock and I love your passion and your sense for the community!
The way the games are displayed for sale is fascinating! Seeing the covers is beautiful and I imagine it helps with not only theft, but also keeping the games in their cases?? Fun shop! I’d love to come by when I’m in town someday.
I haven't been to Seattle for a couple of years but I'm hoping to finally return this year. I would always check out at least one Pink Gorilla location whenever I visit and now I'm going to have make sure to check out this new one. And I'm also that guy that looks at the Atari games, and Intellivision as well.

I got to go to Seattle last month for work and I swung by this new location before I had to head home. The staff were so incredibly nice and helpful. It was such a great shopping experience. :)
It's really good to see Kelsey back on the channel with great news
Excited that this is right around the corner from my son's apartment and business. We'll have to stop by soon! Total respect for Kelsey for her tenacity and business expansion!
Awesome! I love when you have all your special guests on, especially Kelsey. She’s so knowledgeable and such a good presenter. That store looks awesome and I wish Kelsey and Cody loads of luck for this new location. I wish we had stuff like this where I live. Especially across the street from ice cream 😂
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video MJR as per usual. Wow what a great store. Wish we had as many of these in the UK.
Thanks for watching!
I have to give Ms. Lewin a big thumbs up for her passion and life’s work. She’s an excellent talker, too.
Kelsey matured a lot, so glad she is doing super great!
I know Kelsey is probably not a gun person but she should get one. A pump action shotgun is always a good defense weapon. I got one hanging above my bed and I love it.
Seattle is the embodiment of electing the same people into office and expecting different results
I couldn't quite put my finger on why her store seems so unique until she mentioned the Japanese inspiration and it really does give it that something special and something unique from the competition...
Thank you for bringing her back! She's a doll ❤️
The title is listed as Kelsey’s new store. Kelsey might be partners with pink gorilla and work behind the scenes but, I give Cody Spencer a firm hand shake for running that place. His hard work and dedication are why pink gorilla is still on the map!!
they both own pink gorilla, i believe they're married
That storage area is cleaner and more organized than most storefronts!
You can clearly see that Kelsey is truly passionate about her business, awesome!
She's back!!!
Everything about how this store was organized, to where you relocated it and why, to the overall vibe, is just A+ to me, and I am a former video game store manager. Awesome job folks!
Love the new store! Kelsey and The Metal Jesus are the best!
I appreciate her passion and pride in the quality of the products she’s selling.
As an East Coast native, I've been dying to get out to the West Coast to check out the various game stores and conventions there. Seems like such a vibrant, thriving gaming community there. If I can ever grow my channel big enough, I'd LOVE to meet some of these West Coast TH-camrs as well.
We stan for Kelsey.
I’ve traveled from L.A. to Seattle a few times, and it’s truly an awesome and fun city.
“Huuuge windows” antifa gonna like that
Or the Maga Crowds.
Im glad to see Kelsey still in the industry. I genuinely enjoy watching her content.
Its so nice that shop like this exists. Is a mix of past and present of games. Really nostalgic.
I used to live a few blocks from that location. I'm glad to see Pink Gorilla and Capitol Hill in general thriving!
But still! You rock and I love your passion and your sense for the community!
continued success Kelsey and Cody and thanks Jason for the store visit.
For some reason I thought they broke up, Love his streams in the store. Good to see they are doing well.
I'll probably not make it to Seattle anytime soon, but I'm definitely going to check out the website. Thanks for the video and tour MJR and Kelsey!
The way the games are displayed for sale is fascinating! Seeing the covers is beautiful and I imagine it helps with not only theft, but also keeping the games in their cases??
Fun shop! I’d love to come by when I’m in town someday.
I presume it also helps fill up the space when the inventory is lighter. Helps show off the quicker selling stuff too I suppose.
Thanks for sharing MJ. Kelsey and her shop are bang tidy. It’s so inspiring to see someone make a living for their passion. It is amazing.
I haven't been to Seattle for a couple of years but I'm hoping to finally return this year. I would always check out at least one Pink Gorilla location whenever I visit and now I'm going to have make sure to check out this new one. And I'm also that guy that looks at the Atari games, and Intellivision as well.
That was *SO* cool to have a virtual tour of a gameshop I sadly will never visit.
Keep em coming!
I always love her store tours. Her shops always have so much of what I want.
I live in Orlando FL and my landlord has a Pink Gorilla sticker on his truck, I immediately recognized it from Metal Jesus. He tried to quiz me - he said 'Where is it located? ' I answered 'Seattle' and he lit up! Congratulations on the new store Kelsey & Cody! 🎮 🦍
Its always nice to see update about Kelsey, she seems to be doing well i am glad.
Congrats on the new location! My son and I love visiting Pink Gorilla and we'll look forward to checking out the new digs.
Kelsey is GLOWING. Love to see her talk about her passions.
Happy to still see Kelsey on this channel n still successful with her stores.
I travel a lot for work mostly USA, Asia and EU, and I have to say every store I go to I expect DKoldies price. Seeing your prices makes me wonder are there any shops left like this anywhere. good job!
I lived in Kitsap County for 6 years. I had to move away when COVID happened. I wish so bad that I could go back. This video made me miss Seattle even more!
Kelsey's the best, living the dream and spreading the joy of gaming. I want one of those Piranha Plant Plushies.
I was in Seattle Washington several months ago for the first time and I definitely had to make my first stop at the pink gorilla in the u district suggested by you. Bought some games over there along with one of the original pink gorillas stuffed animals. Had an amazing time over there. So looking forward to going back to Seattle to see the new store. Congrats Kelsey and Cody on the new store!
Great to see that Kelsey is thriving and doing well! Wishing her all the best in the future 🙏🏼
The new store looks awesome! Good to see Kelsey back on TH-cam. I have fond memories of my trip to Seattle visiting the 2 Pink Gorilla stores, Hope to come back one back
Very cool to see the store! Good vibes from Kelsey! Also great way to display games etc. Here in Finland I absolutely want more games stores, but they seem to be a dying breed.
I'm really pleased to see Kelsey doing so well, she's a very likeable person.
I don’t know her, but i’m really proud of that girl and you metal jesus , how far she was going. I remember the first video of her open up her first store :’) .Congratulations from 🇲🇽 👌
I love that you help your friends that way. All the best MJR to You and Your Friends.
