Daz, I have golfed with Travellers on 3 or 4 visits. Derek who you spoke to is a great guy and will go out of his way to help. The golf prices are on the Travellers Rest website with the monthly diary. 100% recommend playing with them, from memory the only other costs are a 200 baht pot for best scores and 2s and the caddy tip, normally another 300 baht. If you are into golf the group they have are very welcoming to both men and women. The one advantage of staying in Soi Lengkee as a golfer is you can get up late for a quick brekky at travellers and then in the van to the course. They have lockers to keep your clubs in. If your a golfer wanting to go with them and want a bit more upmarket, try Vogue which is across the road, very nice, quiet and set back. Has pool.Free food Friday is a bonus at about 5.30 to 6pm. Have live music too.
Now this is a budget place I'd love to see more of these type of places
I think I would take the top room away from any noise and I would pretend to lose my key so that I could follow B. Up the stairs . £10 a day is a good price , it looks very clean and restaurant just down the stairs , and a few games of golf how nice is that .
Those stairs would kill me but following her would help alot😉

Hi Daz, my priorities are V G wifi - essential, along with the price, cleaning, friendliness of the staff etc. I don't mind climbing stairs (helps to keep a bit fit). What I much prefer is a side entrance for when my "visitors" arrive ... hate having customers ogling me and my girl. Can you inquire whether the Wifi is very good, and do the hotels/guesthouses have side entrances. Cheers pal

Thanks for the info Daz - at first look I'm thinking -an OK spots to stop for an afternoon beer. Correct me if I'm wrong but the FOOD prices were high bordering on outrageous? Drink but no eat I guess :)

Stayed here for 6 weeks. 500 baht a night great location. Room wasn't fancy but done the job.

Ive stayed in there a few times and its a very good hotel cheap and cheerful with cheap beer what not to like. Great if you play golf too.

Very informative Daz. Obviously no pool to swim. Soi Lengkee one of my favourite soi's If you want to do one on Diana estate I have one empty to show. Opposite Tree town It will surprise a lot of your viewers a hidden gem.

I stayed at the Travellers rest once. Was quite a shock to open the curtains to see someone staring back at me from the next building about 2 meters away. the gap between buildings is about a meter as far as i can remember. just had to keep curtains closed the whole time i was in the room. But you get what you pay for.
Nice flog Daz. It's a pity you never enquired more about the golf, price, transport etc as I would have been very interested.

Me and the wife have stayed at la poste, actually I think the rooms are called le trafalgar just a bit further up lengkee, nice rooms and balcony onto the street, still got stairs to climb. Has side entrance to rear access, ooer 🤣 were about 600 per night on 6 night stay. Mind you that was in 2018!

Good area. Have a look at hole in one. Other side and a bit further down. They were 500 bht a night but would probably do a monthly deal. They also had big rooms at 700 a night.
Call me picky but I'd rather pay more for somewhere with a balcony with a view, decent reasonably modern TV and separate shower screen. 3 non negotiable I can't move past.
Daz, suggest looking at Crystal Suites (upstairs of Crystal A-Gogo), not that you need any suggestions I'm sure

Looks like a good place to stay if golf is on the agenda, climbing those stairs might get old, unless you you had a guide 🙂

Love the budget hotel series so far, my only criticism is that most people come on holiday for two weeks as work only let you have two weeks in one go, please can you get prices for fortnight stays as opposed to monthly

These are Hotels so you can book 2 weeks, and the price is only about10% more per day
Australians get four weeks or more leave a year - I get ten so a month is better
about 100 yrs ago I stayed a week for vacation at the Penthouse Hotel on Soi 2 Pats. The quintessential erotic hedonistic hotel. Gogo on the ground floor adjacent so it would have been entirely possible to never even left the room for the full week and still be catered to every possible need and desire. The ambiance and decor was quite the opposite of the common cement box room.
The first night out I brought #93 from XXXXX gogo back to the hotel and for some stupid reason, I challenged her to race me up the stairs to the room on the 4th floor. Surprisingly I won and she was sucking wind for 5 minutes more. I didn't really expect that from a healthy shapely young girl who would need to be in good shape to dance gogo all night.
Fortunately she recovered :)
I don't know why that popped into my head, and that I imagined Daz running up the stairs after cutie...

Few years ago I booked the same hotel for the same reason and i was soooooo....disappointed, the kittens bar is now ladyboys bar ,bloody Pattaya ruins my holiday

Think you need to start to check out some of the 4 star hotels Daz rather than the dumps you're showing viewers. Many are only charging 15,000 baht monthly with full hotel service (all inclusive). Example is the Areca Lodge in soi buakhao that did have this rate. LK Metropole across the street is about the same. I know which hotel I'd rather stay in!

How do the golf arrangements work? Is there any advantage in organizing rounds through the hotel? I like the atmosphere where it appears the inmates are in charge of the asylum.👍
You don't have to organise travel and they get a discounted round. You also meet new buddies.

After 12 you hear very little. I stayed there pre covid. I was up early to go out running before muay Thai training. Noise never bothered me at all.

It s too much expensive ! 18 coins at soi buakow, small room, promotion: 7500 baht all included for 1 month, and you have a lift. Still covid prices !

Avoid to rent long stay from the motorbike rental a little nearer Third Road. He has washing machines, mc rental and advertising rooms for rents after this place. A real asshole, fighting about everything.
