Good information! As someone who travels for longer periods and does not spend much time in hotel rooms, budget accommodation makes a huge difference in my ability to travel more often.
Pratamnak and Jomtien are great for long stays or even retirement. However, if you are on the usual 2-3 week vacation you are better off in Pattaya.
Handy if you need your washing done just pass it out the bedroom window.
Another helpful informative video with wonderful descriptions.
Contradiction- in Pratumnak there are not: Soi 6 to 8, LK Metro, Soi Honey, Terminal 21, Central Festival, Big C, Mike Shopping Mall, Night Bazar, Fahrenheit, XS, Stones House, Candy Club, Republic, Insomnia and many other highlights that are only available in this combination and concentration in Central Pattaya.
For me personally, all accommodations are ruled out because of the bathrooms alone, a slightly higher budget of 1000 baht might definitely help here. Suggestion for another comparison.
Like them all Daz. Cheers!
Excellent Informations 👍

What's up my man! I'm a new subscriber who will be moving to Pattaya in September. Actually, I had subscribed to your channel earlier but unsubscribed because I momentarily changed my destination to Cambodia. Thanks for the info on the rooms. Will probably rent a room in the Maxima Resort till I find a Condo.
Love your channel👍 And although I'm not a Newbie, I love all those advice videos as well👊
Thanks for the sub!
Great video Daz! I will be staying in the guest rooms above Dynamite Sports Bar on Buakhao next month, same price.
great video but I am not flying across the world to stay in a poop box like those
Then stay in the shitty west OR pay more money for decent acccomodation.
😂
I love it
Nice balcony!
Plenty at around $10 a night too. If you don't need the pool.
Good video thanks, Pratumnak would be my pick
Stayed at siam many times if you don't need a pool it's perfect and the location is perfect and the ladies on reception are very nice even when you bring a friend from coconut bar not like most who give terrible looks 😅
Have you showed Sutu's Court 1-7?, Soi Buakhao, next to Cheap Charlie's But quiet..., different prices at each "level"/bldg. Example: Court 3: lift, 35sqm rm., hot water shower, 2 pools in complex, on site restaurant, laundry 50 meters away. Soi Lengkee -50 meters, Soi Pothole
Last year I was on 2nd rd in Apex hotel for 600thb, a little dated but okay size and good service staff
I tend to lean in favor of Pratamnak. It seems more my taste of area to stay.
Also mine mow i get older and want a nicer enviroment
That was a lot of stairs Daz 😐. I liked the second hotel best for the rooms and the last for the lobby and location because it appeared to be in a quiet area. Too bad they can't combine both features and add a lift🤣
Not much around soi 2 in Pratamnak. Soi 5 is good and the night market is great!
The last one is ideal to stay for few nights if your looking for a longer stay condo in Pratamnak
The 2nd hotel "big" room is the best. Pratumnak Soi 5 is awesome. Walking distance to all of the bars/restaurants/cafe/beach.
The only place i have stayed is the Siam Guest House. 5 or 6 times now.
Very friendly , clean and in tbe center of it all.
Me too it's perfect in every way except no pool but the beach is two minutes walk
great room in Pratunmak for the money......but impossible to find email for them
The 1st nice, shower curtain but NO balcony.
Last one nice plus balcony but did it have a shower curtain ??
It was nice and clean. Food supplies / restaurants near by with varieties of origin such as Indian, Malaysian, Chinese, Thai ??
Conveyance shops: 7 - 11 ?? Family mart?? Near by ??
Close to beach and night life ??
2nd room is the pick but like a few comments have said there was no security box
700 THB low season, Central Pattaya on or right off Buakhao, Walk in Mansion, D Apartments, or R Con Siam across fr. Witherspoon's. The latter sometimes lacks lobby AC, has swimming pool. Walk In is on the Soi. R Con does larger, corner room monthly (discount(
that first one is ok hope noise at night not too bad
Hi daz, another great video. I going to be coming over for my 2nd visit. Hoping to longer this time 4 or 5 weeks last time was only 17 days. I stayed at the Blue Sky Pattaya, per your suggestion, a great place near the action on soi5. My question is staying a month or more is it better to get a condo or stay with the hotel. I going to look at patron also
That depends if you want to cook, if not, then a hotel is ok for only a month.
I could have used this video a few weeks ago...ha ha anyway I stayed at several of these type of places over the last few days. I probably was closer to the city center and payed slightly more, but not better quality. I never found a great place, that I loved. but they were all ok with plus and minuses.
Thanks for the video, out of the four I liked Maxim Apartments 2 the best. Your google map link to it goes instead to 'Cocktail Corner' on Soi 5. Is the hotel next to Cocktail Corner? I've never stayed in Pratumnak before but think it is indeed very nice way more chill than Pattaya.
Yes, it's next door
Do these have safety box in room
Hillside Resort is different league. Pratumnak would be my preference in any case.
I liked the big room at Pratumnak and a self contained area but as opposed to the city centre what does a beer cost in that area I wonder ?
Beers throughout Pattaya tend to be B60-85, but as Pratumnak is a little quieter, there's a possibility of B55. Just avoid Walking Street like the plague, else you're going to pay upwards of B150-200! I shit you not🤣
thanks for the video
how to know if these hotels are guest friendly ??
ALL hotels in Pattaya 3 star and below are guest friendly
Caveat: Budget room often means 'budget' punters, read between the lines. 55
True. Also, with today's flight prices I'm not sure a cheap hotel really matters that much.
What about the mighty Apex on 2nd Road? Bigger than the first one you showed and cheaper.
Dirt cheap but rude reception. I stayed there many a time on the past but they will offer u a room with no electicity without blinking an eye and when u complain they do not seem u understand. Have stayed there many times but at one point I had enough, no more. Breakfast buffet is ok and it does have a pool.
Could you please do a tour of budget hotels with a sea view?
Are there any better like higher range hotels near the beach in Pratamnak? I'd definitely like a place with a few more amenities than these had. Lockbox fitness room, restaurant/bar.
Of course there are, but this video was all about budget hotels
Sanctuary hotel is nice
Is wifi included in the 2nd hotel that you showed?
It is in all hotels
Good info, but none of the rooms seem to have a room safe, and did not ask about wifi,or is that a given that hotels in Thailand have wifi?,thanks.
I stayed at several places in April, I teach on line, everywhere had wifi, but some not reliable. It definitely became an issue with me trying to find reliable wifi.
Yeah, WiFi can be unusably bad in some of the budget accommodations in Thailand.
Great video. Have you ever reviewed March Hotel? I read that's a good one. If you have can you link it to me. Thanks.
It's an ok mid range hotel always full in high season and even now in the beginning of low season. They don't have breakfast, the rooms are good but not big (25m2) . It's a little bit far from the action, you'll use bolt and motobike taxis.
@albundy1485
Where would you suggest ? I would like a balcony, pool is optional. In-between Soi 6 and Walking Street . Maybe close to beach road.
Please put 1 monthly accommodation video in central Pattaya Area, Thank you.
I stayed in Najomtien beach. For a lot More money for sure, but I don't think I could stay in any of those places. I am not a seasoned budget traveler LOL I guess. Still I guess if you were going over for a week or two and wanted to spend the least amount possible they will do.
Ordinary prices for ordinary rooms. No discounts weekly, monthly haha
Lock box's didn't see them
I stayed in the siam guest house this year and i have to say it was not so good .The rooms are very small and there was almost no natural light int he room i was in also the walls are very thin and you can hear anyone in the room next door however the staff and owners are very good.
Thank you Señor Daz!
Is there air conditioning most important ?
Every hotel in Pattaya has a/c
Only some very cheap Thai rooms have fan only
Thanks, Daz I have actually Booked the Residence Inn for about a month Next May 2025. Soon I will book my flight but that month and year are not available yet : )
My room is bigger with an actual view. It is a great location. and steps to the Beach,
Last one very good for sure 😊
What is the quality of the birds in the bars like in Pratamnak, Daz? Is it a big step down from the city centre?
I got the notification came straight to the video and liked. The man don’t miss, his videos are always on point and very informative.
Couldn’t agree more! 👏🏻
The amount of money you save by staying in pratumnak is quickly eaten up by motorbike fees to get to the center. If you have your own motorbike then it might make sense.
Does the receptionist need a sponsor to build a house in Isan? 😛
Im sure she already has half a dozen, ex hotel guests LOL
Hi I love your channel very informative I am disabled wheelchair user currently in Pattaya it’s too hot for me to wheel about and need a condo or hotel can you find me a condo or hotel on beach road please budget of 16to 17 k a month 30 days nice soft bed good aircon no bugs in room and plenty of room
At side of bed for wheelchair and l will treat you for your time please can be anywhere Jomtien or Pattaya
Electricity? Lady fee?
Hotels always include elec
You forgot safety box
Can you make a new video on finding cheap flights? That's where the money is being drained out of our wallets. Hotels are dirt cheap by comparison.
Hi, you could start with Skyscanner
That's what is putting me off travelling. Flights take most of your cash 😢
google flights, expedia, airline websites…it’s alot of work but if you want attractive airfares on decent airlines/itineraries you must do the work.
Use Google Flights
I think Saudi have the cheapest flights .
If the video was filmed within the last to weeks I was staying at the last hotel while you went to, sleeping in late with a beautiful lady in my bed.
There’s so many cheap Charlie’s in th
1st
Ive seen nicer rooms in prison.
What were you in for?
To old and dated.
Big room for 700bt
