Wow a lot of these hotel staff seem very nice too. I’ve had some bad experiences with staff here in the US but everyone in these videos seem so respectful.
They probably are very nice but don't forget that they know they are being filmed for publishing on the internet so it's human nature to be on their "best behavior".
I think the 800 - 1200 baht per night in Pattaya is the sweet spot for most 2 or 3 week holiday makers, i tend to stick around this budget as you can get good accommodation in normally slightly older hotels, with good facilities. Why waste money on expensive hotels, the more you have in your pocket for unexpected expenses in Pattaya the better.
Darren, another top video 👍 Ror me I love how you show everything especially the entrance and around the hotel not just the room, as an amputee Pattaya ain’t the easiest place to get about so it makes all the difference when your hotel has a lift, isn’t full of stairs on the way in or around the reception. The two hotels by sailor bar are a great example to choose, the first one was stairs on the way in and after the reception where the second hotel was all on the level which or me would make all the defence. Top job bud and keep up the great work and I will hopefully be there in November
I have stayed ant this hotel with wife on 4 occasions and really enjoyed it every time , good size rooms big comfortable beds fully air con and FREE WIFI. Breakfast was served on the second floor and was very enjoyable. For 2 years in a row when went when it was my wife's birthday and the staff at the hotel had arrange a birthday cake for her, and a free drink in the lobby lounge. When we go to Pattaya together we stay here as its central to everything.
As soon as you walked in the joint, I could tell it was a room of distinction, a real big spender need not apply 🎤🎵🎶. It did look nice. The pool looked top notch 🏊. My only quib is a gym with no mirrors it's like a ______ with no _______ 😋. Great work 👍🇹🇭🍻
I stayed here on my one and only visit for 5 days ( very short break), I was happy with their service, the breakfast selection was very good and included in my stay. They also did not charge to let my girlfriend join me on days 2-5, just a little extra for her breakfast! Our room had an open but very small balcony and a Spa bath!
Really good price but maybe not the same price when I come September .room very nice and close to second road . certainly worth considering .thanks again for your videos
Vogue Hotel on Agoda, a newer looking building...off Lengkee on "side soi" has Superior Double, 28sqm at 458 baht...(also "junior suite" at 877 bt. 41 sqm) book with Credit card (free cancellation within a day or two of date of stay). I haven't stayed there or seen it in person...pool and fitness. Probably just a couple of rooms at these prices, but I have set trial dates and they were available. Maybe you can find it?
does that enclosed balcony shield off more noise than other hotels? for me the quiet at night is the most important. i can care less about anything else. not picky about bathrooms or tv
I like that place. Thanks again. IF they cancel that 1-day SHA hotel There are going to be a lot of tourists looking for a 1-day accommodation. unless they can just add it to their main hotel ( come one day early)
Hi. Off topic here. I was wondering in the future you might address the issue of how my pension income may be taxed if i come to Thailand and get the retirement visa. thanks. I read conflicting info per usual.
Thailand does not tax any foreign income, when I found this out I decided to retire in Pattaya this August. I will need to deposit approx 23K into a Thai bank account which will make me eligible for a 1 year Retirement Visa. However, when I get there I'm going to be on a regular tourist visa just to make sure I want to stay there.
Hi there, I have been checking out your videos for a while now. Going to be in Bangkok end of May for a week or so. Like to meet you if it's possible? Please let me know if you want or need something from the States.
I'm trying to find the review on the Adelphi Hotel, Pattaya which I'm pretty sure was on your youtube channel a while back but can't find it, maybe it was done by another youtuber but I seem to think it was one of yours.
A decent choice, although a bit bland. Decent location though. I noticed another strong competitor, the Vogue, near Soi Lengkee and 3rd road, it's more modern, similar rating and even a lot cheaper. And it's still around a lot. Lots of competitive choices in this city.
Was in pattaya 7 times and did what u are doing checking prices at many hotels. Going back several years when I asked for 1 month stay the price I was given was 1000 to 1200 a month so nothing has changed.
It's expensive with a hefty deposit and no balcony is a major no for me, I don't smoke anymore but like to sit outside in a chair with a quiet beer sometimes, staff were nice though.
Stayed here about 6-7 years ago. Nice hotel, can upgrade to double rooms with a separate seating area. The pool area gets very hot! Can’t walk on the surface because it’s so hot! Also, pool is advertised as “salt water” pool. Last, balconies are too small for sitting outside because of the A/C systems. It is close to Soi Diana and LK Metro. They really don’t seem to want to discount longer stays!
I have stayed in this hotel many times in the past. However, unfurtunatelly, over the period I have seen the standard slipping down considerably. The good poits; Great staff and very helpful. The location is unbeatable and is close to almost everything that you may need. The bad points; The hotel building is worn out and requires considerable maintenance including the cooling system in the rooms. Hence, the foul smell could be smelled around the hotel. The lift was also noisy and it required complete renovation. Avoid the back side rooms, very noisy as they are just above the bar complex. In some days, the lady cleaners became really noisy early in the morning while doing their work. I found also the breakfast to be just everage and was served in a gloomy lounge in one of the floors. The situation might have been different now, I am just sharing my previous experiences.
I didn't see a jug for hot drinks in that room nor a bar fridge. Safe deposit box ?? Were those items in the room ?? Guest friendly for ladies but want about L. Bs for guests interested ?? As long as they behave themselves?? I suppose contact details on the 'net ?? I did like the bathroom and Size of the bed. "Intimate Hotel". Righto!! I have it !! I believe I am subscribed. Do you have a PayPal account ??
Yes to Safe, Kettle, Fridge Regarding guest friendly, they don't usually distinguish between girls and LBs, same same. 2 months ago the Thai Gov banned all private PayPal accounts in Thailand for incoming money, now the only PayPal accounts allowed, are for registered, tax paying official Companies. That's why I changed my KoFi account from PayPal to Stripe., which anyone can use to buy me a coffee.
@@everythingPattaya Once again many thanks for this reply. If Thailand really does open up and I get there I will have to buy you a beer instead of a coffee.
With this covid u will not have a problem getting a room for at least a year or so and if by chance they said full up just walk a few block and try another one
All the times I've been pattaya I've just paid daily for the hotel. I've never been asked to pay a deposit. I've not been for 12 years now. Why are they wanting a deposit
Sorry sir but no thanx. 1000 thb for this, and you will have a chambermaid knockin on your door every day, and probably joiner-fee too. No balcony. That hotel is not for me.

If you want live where it is sensible and regulated and the police do their job properly, don't choose Thailand. And don't approach the bar owner, you will just get laughed at.

I wonder what the usual discount is for one of those seaview condos in Wongamat? Should we start negotiations at 45% off?
The hotels brewery (Wizard's) makes a couple of nice beers. Watch out around the pool when the tiles are wet they get super slippery.

Hello my friend, I watch all your video it’s very nice thanks, but please make video about rental chip condo or apartment in Pattaya , thank you,
I have done many already, look through the 200+ videos
Yes but unfortunately I don’t see new videos about condo in Pattaya or jomtien beach,
There are about 50, you are not looking properly
Please do more low cost condos.
Look back at all the dozens of low cost condos already done on the channel

How do you get an indication of how quiet it is at night? There may be a time or two when one just wants to sleep! That closed balcony looks quiet.

Does that price include housekeeping services as well, or is that extra?
Yes it does
