Hi Matt, the S24 Ultra is definitely competitive to IPHONE 15 PRO MAX. I like the sleeker style. I like the round corners of the PRO MAX. The pictures are noticeably clearer on the PRO MAX. It could be a difficult decision. I would choose the IPHONE 15 PRO MAX mostly because of the Apple care + 🥰insurance. Also overall I do love the IPHONE 15 PRO MAX🌟
Great breakdown of the feel
Getting out of the Apple ecosystem is not a problem because I can still use both together - I still use my Macbook and rest of my devices are Samsung. It all depends on the person’s preference. Samsung offers a lot of customization and if you are a technical person, this option is really fun and beneficial in most ways. Apple has more or less fixed settings which you cannot manually customize so I have no choice but to deal as it is. It all depends on the user’s day to day requirements and preference. There are no best device over the other because it all boils down to each individual’s preference. Both products offer great options.

My take: Apple will withhold the AI features and will not make them available on plain iPhone 15 and maybe not even on the iPhone 15 Pro. AI is a huge opportunity for Apple to milk its customers again. It will not pass it.
Samsung will also start charging for Galaxy AI on a subscription basis after 2024. Samsung knows Apple will enter the market with their own AI so they're trying to capture the market before Apple does.
The thing with Apple is that they will wait until other companies do something and prove its worth doing, then Apple will re-create it perfectly and almost always be a smoother and cleaner version.

I sure hope not, the A17 Pro in the 15 Pro/Max has one of the fastest AI processors you can get, with its neural engine literally doubling in performance from 17 to 35 trillion operations per second. That would be a wasted opportunity if they don’t bring at least SOME AI features to the 15 Pro Max with iOS 18!
Personally I think they will. They’ll withhold some things of course, and/or say they’ll work better on the iPhone 16’s, but Apple is the kind of company who is way more likely to market their AI as the software feature it is rather than a phone-exclusive hardware based feature like Samsung did.

If I had a choice, I'd love to get a 13inch MBA M2 in silver. My old laptop was a 2013 15inch Macbook Pro and it recently got broken. I think the new MBA is the best in terms of price, performance, and portability. By the way, love this new video on the Samung Galaxy S24 ultra! Keep the news coming!

Long time android user… I grabbed the iPhone 15 pro max about a week after it’s release. I’m switching to the s24 ultra! Going to raffle the iPhone for my money. iPhone was cool for the animated text threads, it felt like another social media and I like how apps like Facebook and instagram are optimized for it and probably has a few more options and settings. When it comes to everything else my s22 was better!
I came to the iPhone 15PM from the s22 ultra and I don’t miss many things on android.
Maybe faster charging and the ability to pause video recordings. On the other hand, Face ID is amazing, the scrolling is smoother than any phone I’ve had and the ergonomic is much better with the rounded edges.
If I HAD to go with Samsung again I’d pick the s24+ but since I live in the UK, there’s no way I’d have Exynos again 😅
@@Rinnara21 finger print scan has been the smoothest unlock feature for me, multitasking as a content creator helps, holding a button for punctuation instead of switching the whole keyboard, closing all apps with a button instead of individually, hdr photos for insta, AI, pic and video default editing software isn’t even close… but if you’re not a creater and just scroll, text and make calls I understand that pov

Can you do a comparison between the S24+ and Iphone 15 pro max? Based on specs it looks like those 2 are closer in size form factor and power but no one is doing that comparison
I have both. My work phone is an Iphone 15 max and my personal phone is an s23 ultra but Im waiting on my new 24 ultra. I prefer samsung HANDS DOWN over iphone for so many different reasons. And the cherry on top that noone seems to talk about is the total theme changing ability of samsung with their theme store. Unlike iphone, there are literally thousands of themes for deep customization that change literally everything in your phone to match- your keyboard, phone dialing pad, text messages, icons, wallpapers etc. I love the freedom of android. I also own an ipad and a galaxy tab. Samsung is king

@MrEmaRivz Thats the thing samsung is usally ahead of the game but when they add these features 9/10 its still half baked and neds up being a gimmick with little use. For example the space zoom when it came out was basically useless and even now its only good in certain situations.

I think this is one of the best videos on these two that I’ve seen. Everyone else seems to feel like they either HAVE to say they’re switching to S24 Ultra, or “S24 Ultra is better but I just can’t switch, I wish I could tho”. It’s because clowning Apple is the “cool” in-thing right now. But you remained unbiased and said “they’re both good, it comes down to your personal preference!” I like that, even as an iPhone fanboy who would never switch.

It's pretty clear that Samsung is in collaboration with Google when it comes to AI..The circle to search for example is a modified Google Lens, AI generative picture editing is currently on the Pixel .The MAIN difference is that Google carries out many of their features in the cloud but Qualcomm Gen 3 chip appears powerful enough for it to be performed on the phone
I think circle to search is Google made, or at least they helped create it as it’s coming to the pixel 8’s on the 31st

What's really needed is a way for Android devices the ability to integrate into the Apple ecosphere, but I don't see apple ever allowing, I think they tried early in its history but then abandoned it

The s24 is so tempting, the only thing holding me back is how much I like the apple tags.. maybe I’ll go back to android when I actually need a new phone. I will be replacing my m1 iPad with the tab 10 ultra when that releases though!
Im gonna go with s24 ultra. Or fold 6 it just looks better and works better alot better. Only issue is Snapchat which i don't use. And some ecosystem things. But not a deal breaker at all

When it comes to the screen this normal has always installed a screen protector as soon as my Apple iPhone comes out of the box. Have had the glass screen protector crack after I dropped my Apple iPhone. Then replaced it the very same day.
Now when it comes to speed. Do you think your normal user will tell the difference? Thing is both are super computers in your pocket.
Then when it cameras each will serve normals needs. They well be the best camera is it will be the one they have with them.
Then for this normal number one on my list is user security of the device, over the life of the product.

Go orange. The two tone titanium frame looks sick with the orange color. Although I ended up with the violet one since I have not seen an orange model in person.
I thought the orange looked weird with the silverish titanium, it would have been better dark grey or gunmetal for sure. Natural Titanium has a golden glow to it and looks nice. I just grabbed black titanium because I got the COD weapon D-brand Skin.

If you are not a fan of any then S24 Ultra is the best. There is no real preference. It's literally better in more regards than the Apple is. That's literally the thing. Preference is when you know 1 phone is better than the other. So. Samsung for the win this time around with this current phone.

I’m a long term iPhone user and looking to make the switch to android……again. Previously i tried google pixel 4xl & Samsung S10, but found the apps not optimised very well compared to Iphone.
Would you say it’s far better now? Hopefully 3rd time is the charm for me lol since the s24 ultra just looks like a beast

Probably not, not much is optimised at all tbh I got rid of my s22U for a 15 pro max each time I tried android I had to go back (note 7,note10+,s22U) I regretted it after 3-4 months I’ve also had major lag issues and UI issues out of the box every time sticking to iPhone now 3 bad flagships I am done 🤦🏻
@@KadeOh Things have changed. I go back and forth every other year just about. I had the S22U as well and it did still have some lag here and there. For the more recent Androids, I tried the Pixel 8 Pro/OnePlus Open/Fold 5 for a short time and all of them are like butter. I returned them due to different reasons but I knew the S24U and OnePlus 12 was on the horizon, so I waited. My current phone for the last year and a half has been the 14 Pro Max. My S24U will be here Saturday.
@@KadeOhthat’s exactly how I felt, just overall performance, laggy apps such as insta, Facebook, WhatsApp etc and when I tried android eco system things just didn’t pair like Bluetooth to the Samsung watch, car etc.
But I am getting bored with iPhone and really want to try android and the s24….

The USBC isn't the same bc apple requires a proprietary chip in the cable to get full functionality.

The new Samsung S24 Ultra features was not sufficient for me to upgrade from S23 Ultra. However, I am looking forward to purchasing an iPhone 16 Pro or Ultra for myself by November.
Only one thing that I disagreed with, you seem to give the performance edge to the Samsung. But I think the A17 Pro is still the superior chip, your scores were a bit lower than what I see on average from the chip. I usually see Geekbench single core average 2800-2900 on 15PM, multi core average 7300, and GPU test in 3D Mark gets 25 fps. I actually won the silicon lottery with my specific iPhone 15 Pro Max, which can get 3000 single core, 7500 multi core, and 26 fps in 3D Mark. So overall I’d definitely take the iPhone if you asked me to pick the highest performer!
The difference in the chips is negligible, the bionic is slightly ahead with cpu and the snapdragon is slightly ahead with gpu. Performance isn’t and won’t be an issue on either for the phones life, unless mobile game creators start making AAA games the chips will outlive the device.

Tbh every phone has its flaws. It comes down to user interface. Which do you prefer, android or iOS. Besides that and the different features each offers. They are basically both great phones

I love apple so much, but a seed has been planted in my brain that I can’t get out. Apple is expensive, sure, it’s a premium brand, and they are great devices. But… Apple NEVER listens to user when making upgrades, they only listen to the money they make. This absolutely pisses me off. Brands like Samsung actually think about the quality of product the user will experience, and they offer many features that exist purely based on user experience. The only way Apple will ever change is if people stop buying their products, and that makes me mad as an Apple user. I really don’t want to switch, but in a few years it might not be an option
Or you can use both. I just got my S24 Ultra violet (I traded in my S23 Ultra 😅) and I also have a vanilla iphone 15 (the apple green color) which I use with my M2 mac mini.
I already called quits, with Apple supporting RCS later this year the nail in the coffin has been hammered, waiting for my S24U to be delivered this weekend.

I like seeing my wallpaper and having apps cover it 24/7 is getting more painful every year. I only come back because friends would kick me out of groupchats whenever I switched to Android. Can’t forget split-screen multi-tasking, I just think Apple will never do this at this point.
For context I’ve been a long time Android user and I’ve switched over to the iPhone 13 Pro Max since its launch. This was also my first Apple phone ever. I can say that I’m lucky or open minded enough to see pluses and minuses in both sides, so picking my next phone is an enormous dilemma for me…

Not the most recent ones. I've tried most of the newer ones for atleast a month starting with the Galaxy Fold 5. So everything released after Summer 2023 (Pixel 8 Pro and OnePlus Open) has been smooth as butter. I'm switching from my 14 Pro Max to the S24U.
You can tell a lot of people in the comments have never actually used an s23 ultra or s24 ultra. They both feel snappier and smoother than my 15 pro max. My 15 pro max feels clunky in comparison to my s24 ultra.
I have pre-ordered the S24 Ultra, but the majority of videos have watched the 15 Pro Max has mostly better photo and video quality. Hoping Samsung can improve this with firmware/software updates, time will tell.
Well my s24 ultra can’t even give stable fps on genshin impact like game. I’m afraid to use this same brand phone in future. Truly disappointing

They don't have the same size screen as stated in the video at 4:41. The S24 Ultra screen is stated to be 6.8" with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 and a pixel density of 505ppi vs. the iPhone's 6.7" display with a resolution of 1290x2796px and a pixel density of 460ppi.

A few reputable articles say it has been doubled this year. 480 I believe, not as high as the Chinese androids like OnePlus and Oppo having 2000+ but higher than the 15 Pro Max yes.
Here’s my dilemma. I have the AirPods Max, Apple watch and just got my son an iPhone. If I switch we can’t FaceTime and I wonder how well my headphones will work with the S24.
I'm still in the Apple ecosystem but am also switching to the S24U. Your Airpods will still work but you won't have the extra goodies outside of switching NC and Transparency mode. You can still FT but your son has to send you an invite link from his FT app first. You won't be able to initiate a FT call from the S24. Instead many use Google Meet for iPhone and Android video calling it looks exactly like FT but with a few more features. I have Airpods Pro 2nd gen, Watch S7, and 14 Pro Max. The watch will have to go as well for they do not work on Android. Hope this helps.

Amazed that someone would be amazed that people wanna see a phone before they purchase it.
I once had the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 aka "The Bomb phone" and used iPhones till the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra which I only used for a few months before I decided that I prefer iPhones and got the iPhone 14 Pro Max on release day I just one minute ago ordered an Apple Watch series 9 and will be getting a new iPhone later this year not sure if it will be the 16 Pro Max or the rumored iPhone Ultra
Android 14 ui 6.0 sucks on s 23 ultra I'd prefer 15 pro max any day

Android always good for six months but the apps just aren’t on par with Apple. Messaging an android user just shows you how ass backwards things are. Can’t send a photo without it looking like dial up internet.

It's not better. Samsung photos and videos are definitely superior. You should look at real pro tests instead of random settings opinions.
This is still their pre release software. I’m interested in seeing how much better the 24 ultra camera is after their next software update

When I’m at work overnights I work in a high ride and I have a s22 ultra and a iPhone 14plus my galaxy doesn’t have service to a point .I can’t send texts or make calls while my iPhone has no issues at all and videos comes out clear not pixelated and .I prefer my iPhone and my daughter said her iphone13 was thrown into the street and ran over by a crazy ex and her phone is fine.
If love to be locked by a ball and chain like a prisoner, go with Apple, as an Android user, trust me, we don't care!
