Aside from nutrition, there are many other factors can impact our skin, from genetics, to medical conditions, skincare products, to stress. In this video, we focus only on how nutrition can impact our skin’s health, but if you’ve been experiencing prolonged skin concerns that don’t resolve, we recommend seeing a dermatologist.

Skincare is a tricky beast. There are times when I’m stressed and my skin really starts to break out, and as I’m getting older I’m noticing wrinkles and fine lines start to form. It’s all normal and natural, and we each struggle at times with our skin in our own ways. Regardless of where we’re at, it helps to be kind to ourselves throughout our skin journey. In the video, we explore only one of the many pillars that impact our skin health: nutrition. It’s not the be-all-end-all solution to clear and glowing skin, but it can be a substantial contributor. We hope you enjoy it and learn some new things! 🤓

I have struggled with guttate psoriasis for over a decade and after leaning heavily on medications such as steroid creams - which have acted as a band-aid, covering up the issue rather than dealing with it, and even ultimately worsening my condition over time - I have finally decided to try to manage my autoimmune condition naturally. I know there is no cure but I am encouraged by many testimonies of people that have their psoriasis under control through diet, exercise and stress management. I am working closely with a nutritionist to do this. My new diet consists of an elimination phase where I completely cut out refined sugar, gluten, alochol and processed foods, alongside a supplement plan. Whilst I am nervous to undertake this challenge, your videos (especially this one and the one on anti-inflamamatory foods) have been very helpful to me. I am going to try to stay positive by considering all of the amazing whole foods I can still eat rather despairing about the restrictions. Thank you for all the inspiration!

Could you create a video sharing what cooking utensils, pots, and pans you prefer to use? I know there are many choices that can be toxic. I bet you have some great insight! Love your videos❤️

I liked how you were the first video on my feed and I started listening to this before making myself a cup of sugary coffee haha caught myself and switched to a tea, I just needed something warm and comforting right now 💗

i think you’ve just reaffirmed for me that my daily nutrition choices are on the right track! sometimes, even though i know working in healthcare that fruits, oats, wholegrains and even some of my veg choices are part of a balanced vegan diet, i can feel a little bit guilty or lost at times! (‘does this dish have a big enough veg portion today?’ ‘isn’t this too sweet?!’) but it’s nice to have that little external reminder that i at least have one pillar of my inner health covered! 😋

Ive had stellar skin all my life until menopause. Now no matter what i do, it always looks like a battle field. It hurts because skin was my thing, the one thing that i got the most comments on, like daily, people gushed over my skin. Now, there’s silence. I will try some of the things mentioned here. Thank you. BTW your wedding was super awesome. You two are too cute. ❤
