Yes, in the netherlands weddings are not like in the US. In the US it is a "how much money can you possibly spend in a day"

@@remij9592 Many ppl do DIY bc they cannot afford the event they’d like without creating it themselves. Sadia could certainly have had a super grand event but they were satisfied with something simple and with their own touch. That really highlights their humility and its beautiful. If I had a lot of money I would not DIY my wedding bc it is a lot of work for me lol. There’s nothing wrong with expensive weddings either.

Most people would throw a tantrum and say bad things but this guy is so mature and in tuned with his environment and respectful of what God gives him. You got yourself a golden hubby. You guys always do everything perfectly, so it's no surprise that this turned out so well. But one thing you can't orchestrate is emotion, and that's what I felt most. The minister's speech was so beautiful and you can see so much tenderness between the two of you and with your loved ones. That's what made this feel so special. Congratulations for pulling it off and best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

I’ve been watching for years, so I was prepared for this marriage coming eventually. However, I was surprised that I got teary eyed as I watched. This was lovely. It just goes to show that keeping it small, keeping it intimate, doing so much of it by yourselves really lets you focus on what is really important, and that is the marriage of two people who love each other. No-one needs to be fretting about fake tan running, having make-up and hair rehearsals, paying huge sums of money for what is ephemeral. My daughter and her husband did the same and it was also truly magical, happy and above all personal to them just as yours was to you. So many congratulations and I would like to wish you all the love and luck in the world for your future together xx

I know it was extreme DIY but I can't imagine a more perfect wedding for you two. Everyone was included friends and family and that made it more fun. It showed what a great support system you have around you and at the same time it will be something that everyone will remember due to how special it was. Absolutely, we are super lucky to have them in our lives! If you'd believe it, Robin and I kept insisting before the wedding that we could handle it on our own and that we wouldn't need help. Haha we were too naive and didn't realize how much work was involved 😅 They all hopped in to help without us even asking, and it honestly would not have been possible without them.
