Hey guys love the content keep it coming! You guys said the x is easy to put on for laceless boots, would you say they are for wide feet? And if so would they be easy to put on? Just for comparison I couldn’t try on a pair of x ghosted purely because my foot wouldn’t even go in so I never got to try a pair, didn’t even think of trying the + but is the speedflow + easier with width? love the videos!
i have those and i have very wide feet and to me it’s very easy to put on and very comfy

I also, like jay, have a very high arch and when I put on the speedflow plus’s for the first time I found some extra volume in the toe area as well.
I know this is really late but there is now a Kickstarter company called Imotana who are making customisable synthetic boots that are custom made for your feet.

Hi guys, love the the podcast. I’m going to get a pair of the speedflow+ but can’t decide between the AG and FG sole plates. I play more on AG these days so I know I should get the AG boots, but does the AG plate take away that special feeling the boots have? Keep up the good work guys 👍

These tiempos are so much better than the phantoms. Phantoms were so uncomfortable.

Hi Jay can you and Josh take a photo of your foot with some measurement lengths on the photo to give us an idea what tipe of foot length and wide length we need to get a good fit for the Adidas X speedflow . I think it would be a good idea for the people that want to buy the new Adidas X speedflow but are scared to get the wrong size
Do you guys think Nike and Adidas will ever collide to create a limited edition boot for both CR7 and Messi. I think the hype would be unimaginable.
Excited for the Speedflow. Its that time of year where there are a ton of releases! Hybridtouch better than kanglite?? (You're not wrong!) With Nike, both the Legend and Phantom GTs seem like they're not 100 percent sure what they want them to be. I think I want to try the Speedflow+. For years I have compared every laceless to the original Zhero Gravitys just because I absolutely adored that boot and I always found other laceless boots to be inferior, but I feel like the Speedflow+ might change this.
I definitely agree that reviews don't age well!
JayMike, I am fairly certain that if you asked Mizuno for a custom lasted boot for you they would probably do it.
I wish the new Ultra (nearly typed evoSpeed) had kept that softer upper that the 1.2 had. All they need to fix was the voluminous fit. I understand why they did it, but still... Thought they deserve praise for doing the women's model and finally giving Japan a new HG soleplate.

$200 vs $250 is a big enough change to have that be a factor for me. I really wanted to try and the carbitex soleplate but it’s not worth $50 for me. Going with the new Ultras. Really wanna see that new black/red colorway.
Price increase in Australia too. + have gone up $20, .1 went up $30. Tiempo went up $30 too and so did the new gt’s. Weird.

Is there a science behind which foot shape dictates fit and feel for all the different types of boots? HIgh arch/low arch, long toes/short toes, wide ankles/skinny ankles. Is there a database of common foot shapes that each brand researches?
Puma ultra 1.3, X ghosted .1, or the Furon V6+ which would you go for? currently could get the furon and the X on sale so leaning toward those what do you guys think?
Hey Jay and Josh. Have you guys seen that the Adidas mini footballs do not have an air valve? Would love to hear how this works and do you see it affecting the construction of regular footballs in the future. I could see it being a really good selling feature for lower end balls for those people who just want a ball that they don’t have to maintain as much

Nike has dropped the ball on all their recent releases, even outside of new boots.
Yeah,eventually they’re gonna have to do what Adidas did from 2014-2017 were adidas had to keep recreating classics to maintain a fan base,in 2021 Adidas keeps retroing classics.I think Nike will have to re release some of their fanbases favorite cleats like the hyper venom 1 and the t90 boots.
I lean towards the Vapor because I play on AG, but haven't used the adidas AG stud pattern. How do they compare?

I’ve worn every Tiempo since the 3 and idgaf what any reviewer has to say, they are the second best Tiempo to come out after the 5. As for the Tiempo 9… stop trying to “speed boot” the damn Tiempo. IT ISN’T A SPEED BOOT FFS
But hey what if we just ignore it, because so long as it is soft and elegant it is still a Tiempo right?
If you still do not like it there will always be Nike Premier 2 at half price.
In order to get the interest of the young generation they have to "speed boot the Tiempo". I am 38 and don't want the Tiempo to become a leather Mercurial, but I am also 3-5 years from retiring from the game. So Nike is thinking of attracting the young generation and not the old generation of before.

Puma launched the Puma King Platinum 21 as well and nobody cared either. Seems like Puma Ultra's went for a more narrow fit compared to the Puma Ultra 1.2, and Adidas did the opposite with the Speedflow's. Seems the Speedflows are wider then the Adidas X ghosted. Everyone with a wide foot moving back to the Adidas Speedflows, and or staying with the Ultra's 1.2.
So the Adidas are a great option If I had Trouble with heelblisters, since it is so soft?

Now it's more like a defender's boots. Top nike-athlete midfielders who wear tiempos are jorginho henderson neves and llorente, the others leaning toward phantom and mercurial
@@jonasdbtr it's sadly been relegated to utility players and defenders. But I grew up as tiempos being for technical class players, pirlo, Ronaldinho and totti

For the Adidas X Speedflow .1, I tend to go half a size up in Adidas boots, are we going true to size in this generation or still recommend a half size up? If fit the Puma Ultra 1.2 in true to size 9.5UK, whats the verdict in fit comparison?
I don’t really know because I had to go a half size down for the ghosted to fit me but I always recommend go and try the boots in a store walk or sprint around a little bit in the store to see how it fits
@@jabrur Don't have a store near enough to do that, would cost more than the price of the boots to get to a shop
I got X Ghosted.1 half a size up, got the El Retorno half a size up assuming they would be the same as the X Ghosted and they’re a bit too big! So assuming the sizing on the Speed flow is the same as on El Retorno, I’d go true to size mate.

Hey guys, love the podcast, have been listening for 3 years now, i think. I have a thing that bothered me for last 6 month at least and it’s growing.. please hear me out!
I’m not interested in listening to new episodes when Jay had the boots for a while and Josh is just guessing based on specs. That’s devaluing information by 50%. Me personally more interested in cool conversation and review on a product you both tried and tested, rather than fastest than anybody else review on new products.
