Hello Josh and Jay Mike! Great episode and conversations, well worth the wait. Question: Do you guys think the Zoom Air tooling could work better with carbon fiber? What if Nike were to combine the two? Could it potentially work like Adi’s carbitex tooling or even objectively better with the added Zoom Air unit? One thing’s for sure, we’d have a $400 Mercurial again.

I feel like anything Predator is getting pretty expensive but I would love to hear what retro boots you guys feel are overhyped/not very special when they where in the regular retail market but got super popular on the reseller market.

I think the regular release colors are k-leather in forefoot with synthetic midfoot, at least from the looks of the online pics

I love this contents! Btw I’m Japanese and all of the Mizuno boots are cheaper than Nike boots. That’s why most Japanese wear Mizuno boots. Also I think the reason for studs not being aggressive is many pitches in Japan is hard ground (sand)!

Ya I'm gonna second that question about any info on the new furons. I've been dying to hear official news about them and I'll be honest I probably have been waaaaay too hyped about them 😅 I just have a feeling they're going to be fantastic, and seeing firsthand how great the 442 v2s are, I'm even more excited now
In Australia the RRP for the NB 442 is $300AUD at multiple retailers which kind of ruins the Value For Money as you can get Tiempo Legends brand new for the exact same price. Really wish we didn't have to pay so much more for them here as they look like a great option
Question: thanks for the boots errs content gents, the community appreciates it! I have been wearing Nike mercurial vapors and superflys for years and haven’t had blistering in a long time. However, I got the newest superfly in AG and they are tearing up my heals to the point where I had to give up and stop wearing them? Is anyone having these issues with the 14 and do the boot nerds have any advice. The more plasticy upper on the 14 seems to be molding to my foot far worse than the 13s did. The 13 model slipped right on with zero discomfort, these feel like a step backwards in my honest opinion.

This air zoom tech is not all new as Josh has mentioned. I have a full length nike air zoom unit on my tennis shoes and it does feel very nice. it's the GP Turbos for those wondering XD.

any news on the release date for the recycled 300$ mercurials?
You have been talking abuout some colorways being similar, but recently NB also released their white pack with some splashes of color that is just too similar to nike`s, adidas', mizuno's and Puma`s. Have brands gone too far? Should they stop going to the same consulting firms. It looks like this summer every boot is going to be white.
@Teamgeist yes and no. We could say the clash pack from nike in 2012 were white boots, but rhey were distinct from any other withe boot. Here there are no details to distinuish themselves, they are all mainly white with color on the logos, not even splashes of colors, lines or anything to contrast. And even if white boots look like white boots, it is weird they all chose to make identhycal boots at the same time.
QUESTION: I don't get it when you guys say "These boots will not make you a better player" but at the same time some boots have better performance characteristics than others. Does that not make you play better and thus making you a better player? If there are 2 cloned players, one is wearing king platinum 21 and one is wearing vapor 14 wont the vapor wearing clone have the advantage?
Say you and I have a knife. My knife is sharper. Yours is kinda dull. And we're in a vegetable cutting competition. So both of us have to cut and dice vegetables. Just because my knife is sharper doesn't mean I'm going to win. You can have better skill, knowledge, experience, and training than me and win with your dull knife. Just because my knife is sharper doesn't mean I'm going to perform better than you. Your skill is much more important. Give Messi and Ronaldo a pair of tennis shoes and they'll still perform better than people wearing cleats. Doesn't matter

However, if you're comparing your own performance with a dull knife vs a sharp knife, won't you cut more vegetables efficiently with a sharp knife? And thus, as a whole, be a better vegetable chopper?
@@spikearsenal dull knife lowers your efficiency and lowers the quality of your chopping results, but sharp knife doesn't make you a better chopper than you already are. Better results ,yes, but not a better chopper. Training and experience are the ones that make you a better chopper.
