1. Mercurial Vapor XI
Picked up for a bargain around 75% off to use in poorer playing conditions, became my first choice. Amazing upper and soleplate and super light, anatomical soleplate is awesome. Regret not getting a second pair as they wore out a bit after two seasons, so tempting to keep wearing mine but I don’t want the toe tear to get worse, plus the boots I currently have make me not so mad about it…
2. 2014 F50 Adizero Samba
My dad and I were super excited when these got released and he got a pair for each of us when he was in the US before we could even get them in NZ, I was 10 at the time, played in them for two years loved these to bits, ridiculously light and amazing touch on the ball. Still the boots my dad plays in, I want to borrow his pair sometime for a trip down memory lane
3. Adidas X speedflow.1
My current boots. Like the vapor 11’s bought as a wet weather pair to save my vapor 14’s. Now undoubtedly first choice. Spiritual F50 successor, first Adidas boots I’d been tempted by since the adizero’s. Probably the most comfortable and best performing boots I’ve ever worn, super soft upper, best soleplate in any boot I’ve had, the carbon fibre insert genuinely works, fit me like a glove and supportive especially in the arch due to the internal cage. Bought a second pair as I wasn’t going to repeat my regret with the Vapor 11’s, realistically could be higher ignoring nostalgia, these are that good. Just don’t get stepped on cause it hurts like hell but if you buy speed boots you know that already.

I had the Vapor 11s just before getting the 13s. When the 13s arrived I was skeptical about it, I felt it wasn’t for me at all when I tried them on in my room. One day I wore the 11s for practice and was breaking in the 13s, long story short, started with the 11s then switched to the 13s and I was in shock of how good they were. Ended up the practice with couple blisters but they just felt amazing. So amazing that they still my top 1 boot. 11s are top 2 by far tho!
My favorite speed boots are the Adidas F50 adizero 2010 (synthetic and leather) and 2014 (leather), Mercurial Vapor VIII (in every upper variant except the light blue upper which was too slippery) and Puma EVOspeed 1 K

Great video guys, love hearing your enthusiasm for older boots but you are spot on about the Ultra and the X Speedflow. For me personally I think the 2013 leather F50 is the best of them all, slightly less leather than the 2010 edition but so sharp and a great feel in the important areas
Broski’zzz you need to do a top 3 hypothetical boots. Use ones imagination, pick a sole plate and a upper to basically create your dream boots. Mine has to be morellia neo III upper with X speed flow sole plate. Love your work guys… what’s your top 3?

2010 adizero with the leather upper 😍😍. I had these in the Chameleon Purple they were 🔥🔥
RE: Copa Mundial, the outsole and liner changes were made in the late 80's and the upper changes were made around 91-92. The first revised run in the 90's looks pretty much like the current Copas, except they have a black trefoil on the heel instead of "adidas".
Question for the nerds: do you have a preference between internal vs external heel counters? Is there a real difference between the two in performance and/or feel?

Hi Jay Mike and Jackary. I was wondering if there was a place to buy past football boots. I used to have the Vapor 13s in the New Lights colourway, but I grew out of them. They were my first top end boot and I really enjoyed them. So, any advice would be much appreciated. Love the pod, keep up the great work!

vapor 11 got best touch ,than 13 .
For me, Puma V1.11 SL has been the best. I also value Superfly 8, Morelia Neo, and 2010 Adizero. For some reason, Vapor 13 was super stiff for me. The Superfly 8 feels a lot softer.
So there is actually someone who have more boots than koise.😃
