Wow. This was prob the best wwf ppv ever. The lead up to kane couldn't have been better and the fact the shawn undertaker match had people so enthralled we all forgot about kane so when the lights went out and the music hit it was a huge shock
Absolutely 100%. The lead up to them finally facing eachother at wm14. I was looking forward more to undertaker vs kane than stone cold shawn micheals as crazy as that sounds. The story telling in that angle was amazing. Paul bearer was the best
Yeah, his last PPV as a full-time announcer. I can't remember if Stone Cold had stunned him at this point? I remember he stunned Commish Slaughter, JR, King, Vince & Santa Claus, between September & Survivor Series after he got cleared to work in the ring again by his doctors kayfabe & shoot after Owen injured his neck.
I liked that 3 man commentary team of JR, Vince & King from late 1996 to late 1997. The WWF did 3 man commentary teams all through out the 90's WM 9 & KOTR 93 & 94 off the top of my head.
Michaels hadn't taken a beating like that since the time those 39 Marines, 28 Navy SEALS, 18 Green Berets, 92 Army Rangers, 37 Special Forces, 33 BOPES ops, and 26 members of the French Legionaries jumped him out that night club in Syracuse back in '95!

reasons we don't get great moments like this anymore coz TH-cam channels like WrestleTalk and channels like that and ppl in the know on twitter who ruin everything b4 it happens.
What is really sad about Brian Pillman passing away was that right before all of this, he was really reaching his stride as a truly vile heel with the whole Marlena/Goldust angle. It was supposed to lead to Marlena ultimately betraying Goldust after the 30 days was over, and join Pillman voluntarily. Who knows where that would have lead, we will never know.
I loved this gimmick the only problem I got with him at wwf that his wrestling styled changed but at this time I had of course no idea about the car accident.. Marlene besides pillmann as a heel manager would be absolutely awesome imagine her in this Hard Rock "slut" style which would suit her absolutely..
At least he died before the show. Owen Hart died at 1999 Over the Edge during the PPV and the company continued it without letting the live audience in attendance know. Just imagine how Brian Pillman's career would've been if he was alive during "Stone Cold" Steve Austin's championship run.
How fitting that this was uploaded on what would've been Brian Pilman's birthday. I don't know if you knew this going into making this video, but the stars must've truly aligned. Thank you for what you do, Wrestling Bios! Your a true champion 7 times around! Rest in peace, Loose Canon.

Flyin' Brian came to my school in kindergarten to talk about drugs. He said if he heard that any of us ever did drugs he would come back and piledrive us. It stuck with me my entire life.
One of the best moments of my life was the first day of school back from summer vacation, a year or two after this, we were all standing in the hallway waiting for the main bell to ring and this brand new kid came through the front doors and everyone turned and looked and someone was like "who is that?" and without hesitation I exclaim, "That's gotta be....that's gotta be Kane! All you're plugging was on again, more of the WWE universe. For instance you were talking about putting the content up and which version has this fight and which version took this out and edited that and where to find these and where to see them and it's just really cool to see your passion come out through these videos. best wrestling channel on TH-cam. really thorough and entertaining and the Alex Wright and Davey boy jokes are hilarious.
All your videos are amazing but I’ve especially looking forward to this one.
Brian Pillman dies: the show must go on.
Owen Hart dies: the show must go on.
Eddie Guerrero dies: the show must go on.
Chris Benoit dies: stop the show, we must do a tribute!
Chris Benoit killed his wife and kid: WHAT SHOW? THERE WAS NEVER A SHOW! NO SHOW HERE!
The metal fan in me loves the Type O Negative shirt 🎸🥁 I loved this version of the WWF. It was so different than what they did prior to 1997. To this day I miss Brian Pillman. One of my all time favorite guys' in pro wrestling.
I love that when it's time to plug your videos and your channel You are still basically plugging the same info as in your videos. It's all WWE content, you never beg for likes and subscribers which I don't really hate on anyway but I'm pretty sure you didn't even mention to please hit that like button and subscribe for more content in the last video I saw of yours. All you're plugging was on again, more of the WWE universe. For instance you were talking about putting the content up and which version has this fight and which version took this out and edited that and where to find these and where to see them and it's just really cool to see your passion come out through these videos. I'm just lucky enough that that only do I get to see your amazing content but this is the era I grew up as well. I'm 33 right now so I was a a young kid around the attitude era but man it was some monumental stuff and I remember a lot of this, I love that it's relevant still. Thanks to you brother. Fantastic work on yet another video
"That's gotta be Kane" what a delivery by Good Ole Vinnie Mac
This brings back so much memories. I remember the promo for this ppv coming on over & over. This was around the time I started watching wrestling every Monday
Absolutely love this channel getting to relive my child hood all over again and share it with the wife at how awsome the 90s00s were for wrestling .. fantastic work on all the videos never fail to make us laugh .. thank u
As soon as i saw the notification for this video i made some popcorn and and watched it.
1:28 what a guy
Damn, Shawn and Taker always knew how to tell a story in the ring that totally drew you in.
It's so crazy to think that dude was my mayor. What a beast. Can't wait to continue the story! Many thanks as always!
I loved the way Shawn delivered chair shots, the top of the chair almost touches his ass on the wind up.
Amazing Kane build up. The way they let it fall into the background with so much else going on.
Love the concept of you counting chinlocks. I'd love to see a chinlock counter in the corners. Thats how we truly determine who won the Monday Night War.
I think this match was in the favor of the undertaker. Not sure if Shawn Michaels would have won or not whether Kane would have popped on the scene or not but that WA a hell of a match.🔥🔥🔥
