This PPV was a nexus event in wrestling. WCW reached it's zenith, Hall and Nash solidified thenselves as certified stars, and Hulk Hogan showed us he's willing to adapt to the times when he reinvented himself.

I still remember watching this live. I was a few weeks short of turning 18, and i had just finished high school. I was on summer vacation and most of my friends were out of town, so my dad and i watched the PPV. I remember how stunned i was. I started listening to "83 Weeks" last year, and I was really surprised how much was left to the last minute.

I was at the GAB when Bischoff got the power bomb. As my friend I were leaving, I say, man that was a pretty damn good show. I haven't seen anything like that from WCW in years. Wonder if they will keep it going? Yeah, I'd say they did

Regarding the dean malenko vs disco inferno match: this is a perfect example of why kurt angle us one of my favorite wrestlers of all time: he combines malenkos expertise with infernos trolling work of the crowd. The best of both worlds.
