I bought the ultimate Scottish road trip guide and if you’ve not been before it’s well worth it! Takes you through all my favourite places and if your not familiar with the areas or short on time is a must have guide. Video is spot on as always 👌 just got back from Mallaig, that drive though glencoe never gets old.
Seriously do not know how Chris and Dani don't get more views on their channel. The photography is fab, the video editing and content is simply first class. That combined with no nonsense views of Chris and then Dani at times making him eat his words is just so infectious ❤
😂😂😂 can you imagine how often im wrong at home! Haha. Thanks mate, channel has been slowly dying all year. Went from 150-300k monthly views down to 20-30k monthly views in past 6 month! Bit mental but presumably people just don’t want to watch it haha
Just come across you Chris. Im a Scottish lass whos planing lots carcamping road trips soon. I am loving your informative videos... Keep up the good work, your great , likeable and professional ❤
Just got the bundle Done the NC500 a couple of times and been on Harris and Skye but definitely missed a lot so these guides are great Just waiting for another van which is due any day now and we will be off up there again
I live up here. I can get to Glencoe in under an hour and even though i see it quite often and relatively easily it never fails to be breathtaking. Glencoe, Skye and Glen Garry are all amazing but I'd also venture to Torridon and Beinn Eighe for some of the most jaw dropping views. I'd also strongly urge anyone to check out one of the most beautiful parts of the UK as another road trip: Highland Perthshire. It spans east and west. It's called Big Tree Country for a reason too; the most Amazing woodlands anywhere in the country. Dunkeld and the monstrous pine forests, Aberfeldy, Loch Tay and Kenmore. And the mountains of Schiehallion, Ben Vorlich and Ben Lawers. Loch Earn and Comrie. And in the summer visit the Crieff Highland Gathering, one of the best games youll see. The whole county is beautiful.
If Perthshire had some decent beaches you really wouldn't need any of the rest of Scotland... Slight exaggeration admittedly but it really does have top class everything else in a compact space. My favourite time for Perthshire is autumn as the trees turn to fire.
@@kumasenlac5504 You're right. I drove around in autumn and the colours of the trees on the mountain sides reflecting on the loch surface... It was like a dream. Absolutely breathtaking.
Great video and beautiful scenery. Not long returned from the west Highland way journey and was in my element with the beautiful scenery. The whole week was full of sunshine too. What a bonus
Can't wait to get back!! Moving home after 32 years in Germany, in 6 weeks there will be no more "we'll do it at the weekend " we can go when we want!! Just wanted to say that when we've been driving around Scotland I've always got my flyfishing gear in the camper so we go to places (normal) tourists don't generally go, you might want to check out the area around Scourie, there are some amazing sights among the hill lochs and lochans along the single track roads. Thanks for giving me something to watch at 6am Chris!!! All the best!!!!
Driving GlenCoe this morning following my wife riding lands end to John ogroats. Sadly the weather is terrible. Got a few days spare after Thursday so hopefully travel some of this in van instead of the car. A very timely up-load. Thanks
Totally agree with everything you recommended. We did that trip 3 years ago. Outstanding. Looking forward to doing it again soon. As a north east girl I love your vlogs. Familiarity is so important. Like minded people if you know what I mean. 👍👏👏 keep up the good work. X
Hi, just bought the Ultimate Bundle. Thanks very much! Looking forward to setting off on our family adventure in Oct. You guys have saved me a lot of planning as I was looking for a NC500 alternative. All the best, Ant
Just drove by you in your van around Team Valley on the A1 (in the white Mini Cooper countryman) and just had to follow when I saw you make videos that I enjoy watching already 😊😊
Love this review was thinking of doing nc500 ne t year in our newly purchased motor home but now am thinking do I want to do this instead thanks for that 😭😭😂👍🏽
Great video mate. I think Glencoe and Skye might be a future trip for me then as I’ve not been by the former and only crossed the bridge for the latter. From a personal point of view I’d recommend Shetland after being up there last month which is the best time to do it because of Simmer Dim. I’m pleased you included Glasgow on there though as from a driving perspective it shows how Scotlands road network can go from one extreme to the other in the space of a few miles.
For those of us without moveable accommodation - who would like to do the road trip it would be great to know about b&b’s, eateries and pubs en route.😊
It would be hard for me to make that as since I always have my Campervan with me I’d be recommending places that I personally had not stayed at which i would rather not do. At least this way I’m confident in everything I’m recommending
Thanks for another great video Chris, in your experience what time of year is best to do a road trip like this? Want to miss midge season if I can and have never been to Scotland.
No problem, hope you enjoy it. Personally we tend to stick to May or September. This way you have a good chance of decent weather and most if not all the Midge are either not there yet or already dead. This year the Midge arrived earlier with the heatwave so May was not great either.
My husband & I want to do it this summer with our dog. Where can you stay overnight if travelling in a motorhome? Any recommendations on campsites? I assume you can’t just park your motorhome anywhere overnight. Thanks
There is no single tracks on this route other than certain parts of Skye depending on whether you wish to visit them. They are all covered in the Ultimate Scottish Road Trip travel guide.
As annoying as you can sometimes be Chris you are without doubt a master of information for the van community, so I'll give credit where it's due.....you are bloody annoying though lol. Keep up the great work

Scotland the bestest, most beautiful, magical country!💚
Great video and beautiful scenery. Not long returned from the west Highland way journey and was in my element with the beautiful scenery. The whole week was full of sunshine too. What a bonus
Went through Glencoe in April no pictures or video will do it justice! Beautiful drive through.
The side trip down Glen Etive is worth the hour extra.

Great that Chris. I’ll get the full pack when I get my van but it won’t be till next year!

Just ordered all your guide books as we want to plan a September 2024 mega Scottish road trip :)
Hi mate we are going to be in Scotland for about 8 days in late November. Do you think this roadtrip is worth doing that time of year?
Doing this road trip anti-clockwise as we speak, great road trip guide bundle!
12:32 The stress in Oban is at the start so it's O-ban. Also the 'a' is hardly there so its almost O-bn.
your vids are great buddy - get back oot in the van !!!
Hopefully will be in the next week or so fingers crossed
Love these videos
Sounds astronomical 👍🐾❤️
And by that I meant we would so dearly love to visit .🏴

I have a guide available which has all of this information in it. The link is in the description. 👍🏻
Can one do this tour with a standard motorhome?
There is no single tracks on this route other than certain parts of Skye depending on whether you wish to visit them. They are all covered in the Ultimate Scottish Road Trip travel guide.
How do I get my hands on your travel books?.
Link is in the description.
If that doesn’t work this should:
www.sloanesmedia.com/store/p/ultimatescotlandbundle
Can this be completed in 7 days?
Of course, we have a couple of videos on our channel of us doing this in 3 days.
As annoying as you can sometimes be Chris you are without doubt a master of information for the van community, so I'll give credit where it's due.....you are bloody annoying though lol. Keep up the great work
😂😂😂 dunno whether to take that as a compliment or be offended haha. You will find me annoying in the video we making at the minute I reckon 😂
