Lee: You did a great job (as you always do) reviewing this wonderfull revision to the Emax TinyHawk series of miniquads. Emax has done an astounding job recreating a mini quad that is resilient, stable, and offers decent images from an AIO transmitter with TWO power settings. There box goggle appears to do all the things we need in a small box goggle: include a tripod mount, DVR function, logical buttons with decent OSD display functions, adjustable focus, and magnetic mount providing easy removability for shop use of the plain monitor without the box. The included transmitter is also amazingly flexible and powerful. This product package really resets the bar for all other products from other companies. Kudos all around! - Jim
Nice review. I'm trying to figure out if I want the Tinyhawk 3 or the Easy Pilot Pro. being a beginner, I'd be flying 70% indoors. I think the slightly smaller Tinyhawk 3 would be better indoors? but the reviews for the Easy Pilot Pro say it has very easy starter setting (holds altitude). so I'm so confused as to which one to get.
Great vid..but: either I dont know how to hover which i would imagine would be one output and simple...or my TH3 came notRTF and there is something wrong.... I'm rather frustrated by the apparent drift.
Learning to manage the throttle is one of things you need to master. You don't mention if you are new to all of this but I am guessing you are. You can use throttle scaling in Betaflight or use a trick like this - th-cam.com/video/NN0x5r1sxNQ/w-d-xo.html
@@Painless360 Thanks alot for this, I will definitely try these steps. I am brand new, and I thought I'd try hovering indoors to get a feel for the fpv but I'm not using the goggles yet. Is drift normal for a fresh out the box rtf kit? I've seen folks take out the box, no mods and go up!
Do you know if buy the Emax freestyle rtf kit and then use the same goggles and ELRS controller from that kit to fly the draknight? As the bnf draknight is reasonably cheap Best of both worlds then Thanks
Bonne chance
I am looking to try a quad as a long term fixed wing flyer. How hard would it be to setup If I was to buy the drone only. I have a decent set of googles and a Radio Master TX16S
Have they improved the esc’s so they don’t fail quickly? I started with the tinyhawks and I have a mass grave of bad boards frames and motors. The mosfets on the older boards never last very long and emax isn’t very good at making things right with customers. The only thing the tinyhawks are good for is giving you a taste of the hobby and getting you hooked.
Yea I just bought this kit. The best part of it was the case. The goggles and remote I guess are adequate. The drone itself was a huge disappointment the board was fried and two of the propellers didn't spin right never flew it once. I really wasn't expecting much from this kit other than a cheap light drone that was somewhat crash resistant. Definitely a quality control issue going on with this little drone.
I was never going to be able to use these goggles that come with the tiny hawk kit, I am old and need reading glasses now. I got a digiadapter and a rapid fire module today and am now flying my tinyhawk 3 using my dji v2 goggles. 🙂😄😁😀
You pace with videos right now is crazy. Thank you.
No kidding! He's a machine!! 😂🤘👍
Great video looks like a lovely kit! Can the controller be used for SIMs?

Nice review,
Thank you for your time introducing this tiny quadcopter.
You have to start somewhere and this is a great place to start. Excellent review Lee.
Amazing flying and review, Lee! 😃
That's a fantastic little kit! Really nice!
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Love it.as you know the group fly alone of whoops etc and this looks pretty cool

Yep, all quads drift unless they have lots of extra sensors to help.

Possibly. Analogue FPV is very open and standardised now and ExpressLRS should be good too (as long as the versions match)..

Not too hard. See my Betaflight BNF setup video.. Happy flying
@@Painless360 thanks for the reply. Off to digest the video. Cheers again for the top notch content

Great review 👍
Can the radio be bound to other quads?
It could, with compatable recievers.. Limited choice though.

I have this drone. It's a problem.
Can this kit utilize a better pair of goggles?
Yes, all standard stuff..
Lee is the standard
Do the goggles have true diversity or just antenna diversity?
