    An important note to people looking at this after May '23 the GEPRC is now ELRS, the transmitter uses dual 18650's, and has a simulator mode using bluetooth apparently. The drone has a new VTX and FC... Looking through the store page it's an almost completely different kit and probably should get a re-review from a lot of the drone channels to make sure it's still a decent system.

    I have Tiny Hawk 2, and TinyGo: I recommend Tiny Hawk 3 if you are a beginner and mostly fly indoor, plus the TH3 will have improvements since TH2: I like how the TH2 feels flying indoor, battery costs half, about same flight time, light weight can be very robust - crashed it a 100+ times and it keeps going, outdoor with no wind, a little sharper live viewing in goggles. TinyGo : Outdoor better (but only very light wind or none): 4K camera looks great if you want to make post videos, but live view in goggles are not very sharp compared TH2. [Either one you get be sure to get extra props, and extra batteries, I have 10 for Tiny Hawk and 8 for the TinyGo, they both last about 3+ minutes indoor, I fly both with 530-mah.]

      If you want to start indoors and go outdoors, I would suggest the TinyHawk3. When you're ready for a newer/faster drone, you can use the E8 radio included in your kit to fly it. The TinyhawkIII is also more stable, especially indoors.

I’ve been fly camera drones for a while and in my head I’m thinking that I can handle something like a geprc cinelog 25 hd. I just don’t want to spend a grand on goggles and a controller. I really enjoyed the comparison but it may have just made it harder to choose. Thanks for the video.🤙🏼

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, if you have the experience, which it sounds like you do, I would build the kit that you want. So yes, get the Cinelog 25/30/35 and buy a good starter radio (Radio Master TX-12 or Jumper-T Lite). The problem is finding a good/ affordable analog goggles. The total amount here would be far less than a grand(maybe 600 dollars) and you would have a far better kit than the RTFs.

    Hello. Could you help me figure out what is causing the vibration of the tinyGO 4k drone?
    I have the second version of the drone, it writes gyro data to a file on a flash drive. But gyroflow does not save from shaking and vibration, which creates a blurry picture.
    And I also encountered the fact that the 5D button does not open the camera settings. How else can I enter the camera menu to change the settings?
    I would be very grateful for your help.

    Great video! I chose the GepRC TinyGo 4k before the TinyHawk III came out (it was my Christmas gift to myself in 2021). That said, I have no regrets (which I wasn't sure about before watching this video). For me, it comes down to versatility and camera quality. I want to be able to fly indoors during winter and outdoors during the summer - TinyGo check. I want the option to record my flights and have the video be of at least decent quality - TinyGo check.
    I do agree the transmitter, especially the gimbals, leaves a lot to be desired on the TinyGo, but I did buy this starter kit knowing that it was just an entry point and, if I got serious, everything would get upgraded eventually anyway.
    In the end, for me, having a more powerful, versatile, and higher quality drone is what tips the scales.

I used to have the blade inductrix but I want to upgrade and I'm really struggling deciding between these two. • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Neither is great at freestyle. The TinyGo is better at outdoor flying, but the TinyHawk3 is better at indoor flights. Everything else is mentioned in the video. You'll have to choose what's right for your needs. I make videos, so the 4k in the TinyGo was appealing. The TinyhawkIII has a better radio though and can be used on other drones.

    I’d say the tiny go 4k is for someone who is committed to getting into the hobby where as the tiny hawk 3 is something more for a casual person. The tiny hawk 3 to me seems like a less likely item to buy for me cause I’ve already been in the RC world for 1/8 scale buggy racing so the tiny Hawk definitely looks worse on paper (not saying it’s bad) than the tiny go. For an experienced rc hobbyist the tiny go offers more avenues of upgrades and it looks better.

    • @OneManUnmanned

      No, not yet. You could probably go for an HDZERO or Walksnail setup. Most beginner analog drones have that scratchy/staticy video feed. If you're in the hobby, you just get used to it, or just go digital(which is a little more expensive).

      I've never done that before, but the All In One FC is capable of handling 2S power. You would have to change the battery leads, but yes I would assume it produces more power than 1S. I know this is an old video but i happen to have both the tinygo and a tinyhawk2. They are both really fun to fly. I think the tinyhawk is more fun and easier to fly indoors for a beginner, but the tinygo quad itself is by far the better of the two. Ive just replaced the fhss rx on mine with elrs so i can use my main radio and i think between that and some upgraded goggles, itll be a great and versatile set.

    I have 2 TH3's. Like them, but the video glitches something awful. Must be a design flaw as I see the glitching on every TH-cam video with that aircraft. Fly mine mostly outdoors. Performs really well. Seeing the same glitching indoors. Not seeing it on my other EMAX drones: Nanohawk X or TinyHawk 2 Freestyle. Opened a ticket with EMAX, not real helpful. They don't want to admit there is an issue with the VTX. Probably an antenna issue. BTW: the Nanohawk X is amazing. 7 mins of a 1S and almost silent. Really screams too.

If you want to piece together your own kit, you'll get more value for your money, but will have to choose the components yourself. A good selection of parts to build your kit, will run you 320USD, which is the same price for these two RTF.

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I haven't done the math, but it might be cheaper to build the kit yourself. The TinyHawkII Freestyle is a more advanced drone compared to the TinyHawkIII and is targeted at intermediate skilled pilots. Can it be your first done? Sure, but you have to know its limitations and full potential. It's relatively faster than the TH3 and doesn't have props guards, making it impossible/danderous to fly indoors. It's also powered by 2S batteries compared to the 1S of the TH3, making it more powerful. The freestyle is more capable/maneuverable and therefore more "fun" to fly. If you decide to buy the parts separately vs the RTF, I would hughly recommend buying the RadioMaster Zorro radio instead of the E8 radio(and it's only 10-20 dollars more).

    • @OneManUnmanned

      Better is a relative term..Is it better for a teenager to learn to drive in a Ferrari or a compact car? It depends on who you are and what you intend to do. Do you intend to fly indoors? The Freestyle is an overall "better" drone, but is not meant as a starter drone. Having said that, everyone is different and you might be a fast learner(better hand-eye coordination) or have prior drone experience. The Freestyle is slightly bigger than the TH3, but not by much.

      You can change the VTX power with just your goggles, drone, and transmitter. They all have to be on and powered. To enter the menu, the throttle has to be half up and yaw stick full left. At the same time, the pitch sick(right gimbal) must be full up. Once you're in the menu, go to "Features" then "VTX" then "Power". You can change the power output there. Don't forget to hit/choose "Set" and "Confirm" once you've made your selection.

      @OneManUnmanned  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      No, the TinyGo controller only works on with the TinyGo. You can buy another receiver for the Tinygo and use another radio if you want.

      People have had good experiences with them and alot of pilots started off in EMAX products. Plus this is a new kit and has increased their quality compared to the previous RTF.

    The GePRC TinyGo, it is hard to fly indoors. Who cares about 4K if you are learning how to fly. Not sure why you clowns have to highlight on the video when it is really about learning how to fly a FVP and which one is the easiest to fly indoors.

    • @OneManUnmanned
      @OneManUnmanned  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for your input and insight on this topic. The TinyGo can be flown both indoors and outdoors. Some pilots might think a good camera is not necessary for indoor flight, but what about outdoors? If no one cares about the video or its quality, why have a DVR in the first place? Why do most pilots buy an action camera like the 360 Go2 or even an expensive GoPro. It's to the point where pilots are now excited about HDZERO because of its HD image potential in small 1S drones. The point here is that EVERYTHING in FPV is subjective. I love cameras and video technology as a whole(I even upload the videos to TH-cam), hence why I think the 4K is important. Manufacturers have a huge decisions to make when engineering these drones and deciding whether or not to include a premium camera. The fact is(especially with this drone), you don't have to opt for the 4K cam, it's also offered in a 1080p version.
