As far as drone I'd much rather build my own whoop from happymodel parts. 2S only on 14000KV and 1S on 250000KV. Personally I expected better from Emax, but last few releases have been behind the competition as far as flight performance goes anyways.
My tinyhawk 2 is finally broken to the point where I don't wanna put the effort into repairing it again. So I ordered the th3 yesterday. I bought a bunch of the props for my tinyhawk 2 cos I found that they would pop off and disappear in the grass. Is there any real difference between the props? Definitely not because I don't like the red color and prefer the pink ones I bought.
I started on $40 box goggles and THAT is what got me into the hobby. You absolutely will out grow them if you stay in the hobby but it's better than dropping major money on something you've never done. Totally still recommend this to get you in for 300 or less.
Thank you Nick for this honest review. Everyone else is praising this like it’s the best beginner drone. I don’t know why anyone in this day and age would sell a RTF that doesn’t have ELRS TX and RX. You flew it pretty well. I didn’t even realize you were flying this in 2s. I can already see the future. Tinyhawk 3 Freestyle. This time it actually has a 2S XT30 and have trueX format with the same kit. I cannot believe that after a year, and the cash cow that the tinyhawk 2 was, that this is the progress of their innovation.
So glad that they created a V3 if the Tinyhawk Kit! The quad is a lot more efficient with those 0802s on the same props as before and the tune looks pretty good. The new grey color scheme on the transmitter and fpv goggles are also awesome, definitely a lot higher quality especially with actual gimbals and overall they have a lot more of a hobby-grade feel than a toy feel. The goggles are awesome because they can become pretty compact but also have that extendable lenses with the detachable monitor. Definitely all great upgrades from the previous iterations! At least the fpv goggles have a DVR option which is always something nice for beginners who want to record their flights without an external device. For what you get, the price on this kit is actually pretty good! Thanks for giving us your take on the Emax Tinyhawk III RTF kit, awesome flying and great video!
The wobbles can probably be tuned out, but that arm drop (as well as some of that wobble) is because the motors are slightly underpowered for that kind of extreme flying. I get why they use them, but do wish they'd sell 16-17k upgrades. BTW, they are going to send me one to do a PMB setup so be on there lookout.
I almost feel like the radio and goggles are pretty overbuilt for this quad. Especially at $300 for the kit considering you're still going to have to get another radio right away if you decide you want to go any farther in the hobby. And the quad alone being $170?! Why why why would anyone pay that when you can get a Mob 6 with 4 batteries for under $100? Then grab yourself a jumper T-lite and a $50-$100 set of goggles and ,boom, you're in the air with a better quad and gear that still gives you room to grow for under $300. Just doesn't make sense, which sucks because I learned to fly on a tinyhawk RTF kit but it only cost $160 so it made a lot more sense.
Im going to order this very soon. This is actually the best review I've seen on this! And man that thing moves in acro mode. Finally can watch someone ring it out
Ah, right, it's right there in the main menu called rectime. Might sound obvious but it's default is 'OFF', so I assumed it would overlay the time or so :) Wonder what the difference between 'OFF' and '3 min' is then, maybe at 3 min it stops after 3 min, and with off it does endless 3 min sections?
I loved my tinyhawk 2 had the 1 and have the freestyle 2 in my arsenal of tinies with a mob 6 hd and the awesome moblite 7. I teach everyone who wants to learn on the tinyhawk 2 or 1 I think their fantastic for getting into the hobby nice and durable and great to start learning a simple motor or frame replacement easilly and without breaking the bank. Perfect to start to ease into beteflight aswell. That transmitter looks sooooo much better! The original controlled like a 1970s muscle car lol great in a straight line 😂 Having that option to strap the screen to the controller is a nice touch! I have everything from a 65mm up to a 6 inch and as much as everyone loves the idea of having a 5 inch from the get go one of these is highly recommended and the shrewd move! Great review as always 🙌
I bought the geprc tinygo non 4k kit, based on your recommendation. It's been through a lot (hell). Still going strong. It's brought me into the hobby and I've gained flight skills and minor repair skills. Ordered a whole new setup based on that experience. As a starter kit, I cannot fault the tinygo.
I used to really love the Emax whoops, but after building a few out of happy model parts they feel really meh to fly. Especially after flying 2S 65mm inside on 14000KV, that's my indoor combo of choice.
@@slowentropy4531 I probably fly my crux3 more than all my other quads combined. I love the little dude and only have to walk out the door to fly it. I also really like the crux35 hd. Bought one a few weeks ago when RDQ had them on for $269 with a $150 gift card. The vista unit and camera alone were worth more than that. Love the flight characteristics and the range but not for my yard at least. My neighbors aren't as cool as Nick's.
@@kurtzFPV good to hear mate, the 35 is an awesome quad. My friend got the banyhawk HD and on second crash on grass the ESC died, Emqx has had a huuuuge fall from grace unfortunately.
Radio looks so much better than the utter garbage that came with the old kit. That new emax board is proving to be tough (has survived some serious IGOW abuse) and would make the kit a winner in my book.
Hi Nick... I'm new to FPV. Be we n folowing your channel for a bit... congrats... very informative and great content. I am researching small all in one kits and from what I see its between the TinkHawk 3 or the GEPRC TinyGo 4k. A couple questions... are you aware if the new (PID?) Tune settings have been updated by emax? And thoughts on this unit vs the tinygo?
The biggest draw back to the tinygo is the proprietary radio protocol. We can't fly the quad with another radio and we can't use the radio with another quad. That limits our ability to grow. Where the exam kit uses standard protocol and can be used with other radios or quads. I would go emax route based on that.
the flat peice goes into the back of the controller and then the mount goes to that afgterwards you can screw the screen that is removable from the goggles to it and fly line of sight and fpv without having to use the goggles
Damn... I would've loved to find a kit like this when I started... Seriously! 😂 Fantastic flying and review, Nick!!! BTW, this radio with ELRS would be sweet! Anyway, stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
With a PMB tune I’m sure it would sing!! Goggles and radio are a big improvement. DVR splicing is a disappointment but I’m sure workable for someone starting out. Thorough review as always. I still love my V1 Tinyhawk for its groundbreaking design.
I bought one of these and the EZ-PILOT beginner in the past month, I still can't fly with the goggles yet, still learning by line of sight, sill alot of fun. Love this tiny hawk 3. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
What would you consider the best RTF Whoop kit be atm? And or best start up Remote, Goggles and Whoop? Something that I won't grow out of right away. 👍
A more updated camera but the same 5a ESCs and motors that are a little slower than the Tinyhawk 2. I was really hoping for maybe a 12a ESC. I've had several of these pop an ESC because a prop gets stuck and the board is so expensive you might as well buy a new one and get the camera, body, VTX, motors, props and batteries.
Wonder why they didn't offer with ELRS. Word of advice to not even bother trying to Turtle with a TH. I burnt up esc's 4 & 1 on two TH2's. Currently flying my third TH2 and have never turtled and still flying strong. Just my experience. Just a guess the lack of ELRS is due to current silicone shortages. That and to me the TH3 seems like a last run of a large supply of parts before making changes to the factory line.
I am not sure emax is or has developed their own elrs rx. Yes, AIO should only be used to turtle a quad in the most serious retrevial circumstances. The voltage spike of turtle mode with a prop that cannot spin goes beyond the amperage rating of the esc. This is something I have stressed in a number of videos over the years. Unfortunately, I likely didn't make enough "noise" to this issue.
Jezzz... what the heck is going on? The failing PH2 connector robbing performance is back on EMax's 450 1S 70C batteries and the Tinyhawk? I'm having a nightmare time is running backwards! The 10 GMB27 ver 1 1S connector sets I received were tight as a drum... too tight but I liked that knowing they would likely loosen up but the GNB27 ver 2 came out on GMB batteries replacing it, so I reordered the Version 2 GNB27 connectors and they were mostly too loose to use causing break errors charging... the worst connecter I ever used after having several trick Dean' connectors that didn't mix well but at least let you know your connection was bad in a more on or off pattern of failure. With the Version 2 GNB27 you just don't know what's going to happen but when you do get a tight fitting GNB27 set the mid throttle flight times are almost double with far better control in the wind. I'll eat the weight and use XT30s before going back to the PH2 even if solid pin version but will try out BETAFPV's BT2.0 in my UMX Ultrix and sub22g 1 S quads but wanting an XT15... this is Hobby Kings chance to bring a lot of people their way if they throw in the right size and shape of high C HV batteries that's most needed now. Jezzz what an absolute disconnect in the RC Hobby for the small 1&2S scale going unresolved.
The micro market seems to continue to be a specialized segment that even the companies working in the space largely ignore the finer points the community is looking for.
Hi Nick, do you have a personal preference over this kit or something like the BetaFPV Cetus Pro? The controller and goggles look nice on the Emax kit, but the BetaFPV is a fair amount cheaper. Are the drones comparable quality?
Seems like a pretty decent starter set, but should have at least come with 2 batteries. Can this controller bind to other FrSky quads. I seem to recall one of their radios in a set could not bind to other quads. My first FPV starter set was the BetaFPV whoop racing starter set with lite radio 2se, 65s lite brushed motor quad in Bayang protocol, and VR01 goggles. Although that set got me started for only $130 and I beat the snot out of that little quad, I wish it would have had at least come with FrSky D8 protocol so I could have used the radio for other quads. I ended up getting a Jumper so I could fly other quads but that was just the start of my addiction 😃
Love your reviews! Could you please check out the new Avantquads Nexa 3.5 next? Would love to know how it compares to Avio 3.5, GEPRC Smart35, Happymodel Crux35, Emax Babyhawk II.
love it. very nice. Love that they are getting away from their proprietary board and converted to a standard whoop board. Would make for some spec yard racing fun! Also... with the new expresslrs boards that are out... this is awesome!
@@NickBurnsFPV Nick I have the beta FPV second edition controller and you mentioned the Emax tiny hawk 3 controller is pretty similar to that one, but I want to know if the Emax sticks are any better Quality than the beta FPV controller sticks?

@@diggsit69 Yes, the zorro with 4in1 will have d8, really all radios with 4in1 radios support frsky d8. The sticks on the emax and the lite radio feel very similar, beyond feel Its hard to say if they are different quality.
i got my th3 kit the other day, and i must say the wobble while trying to decend is a bit hektic, when your going much slower than you in this vid it really struggles, i have been going up high to do some flips and stuff so i have enough time to level off, and as im trying to catch it from falling by powering on it wobbles like crazy, one time it even flipped and fell out of the sky from prop wash
@@NickBurnsFPV thanks for the reply, i accidently crashed into a puddle and i think i cooked one of the motor drivers on the FC as it started pulling 5-7 amps on idle when i arm it after i dried it out, then after another couple of flights one of the motors stopped working and it resets the board when i try to arm it because the battery sags from the amp draw :(. so i tested the motor in another plug with its plug left not populated, then it arms fine and the motor works, if i plug the other good working motor into that header plug and leave the good one un populated it cuts the power and resets, so im certain its the main board that is fried unfortunatly, and a replacement board is $160aud but i was able to get a mobula7 whoop for $175aud, so now i have a dead th3 and its not really feasable to use another th3 board in it, do you have any recomendations for a replacement FC for my little th3 that isnt stupidly expencive lol if i can fix it for $100aud i would do that. currently 100aud = $67.50 USD, these little things are so bloody expencive, i think the first thing im going to do to my mobula is conformal coating all the electronics, because i said i was going to with the th3 nd i didnt and now its dead lol, its always super wet here at home so i need something that can handle a crash into wet grass, or a little bit of a splash from a puddle, i dont want to take it swimming, it would just be nice to be able to crash it and not have it die immidatly after 3 days of flying it around lol
@@christhorney Yes, the big downside of AIO boards is just that all these critical components are on one board. We can just replace an esc, or vtx or otherwise unless we have some serious experience, tools and skills.
Great review. The new TX and googles look premium compared to their last offerings. I wish emax went back to the fundamentals of the lighter weight and more agile TH 1. It's camera was poor but it flew amazing with Project Mockingbird tune.
I don't think emax is interested in standard whoop quads, or being competitive in the performance arena, but rather target starting out and longerish flights and durable frame.
I just watched your mobula 6 upgrade video, i have been watching all your new stuff lately, going back to that one video from a year ago... WOW you lost a lot of weight! Great job! How did you go about doing it?
What other drone can I used with the tiny hawk III controller and goggles?? I'm hoping that "Santa Claus" bring me this for Christmas :D. What would be a good 2s whoop to used whit this kit?
emax tinyhawk 3 vtx seems not doing well outdoor even i bump it to up 200mw with varies channel. the control is not responsive for my liking. i have mod a tinyhawk 2 with elrs is a winner
and flash bluejay to the esc it will give you dshot 300,600 on betaflight and yiu can personalize your startup tones to be whatever you want like the mario one up sound or the star wars theme or anything you could think of
Good review , I have a blast with the TH 2, appears the TH 3 is about the same maybe? On one of my TH2's the connector on the board itself came off, which I dd not know burned out the board, BUT it appeared to have been glued on ?...I went to find out how to fix it, one person made a vid to show me where to solder the motors straight to the board...but my board was toast...LOL But still the TH 2 is a blast, I have two of them and will get another to have just in case...it is cheaper to buy the quad then the board/motors. Now I fly mine out to almost 300 feet away, [ i think is great for what it is ] I fly behind my out buildings and my house etc, it does really well...one area behind some line of trees beside my drive cause a lot of breakup, BUT still can be flown without total loss of view/signal...I simply placed the antenna's straight up out beside the cam/body area ( side holes zip tied ) and it improved the range very well, without changing antenna's just so you know. May look into the new TH 3 but not sure yet....these TH 2's are hard to beat for fun, can bash them about without care...lol
Whenever you use the DVR to locate it after a crash, how does that work, like are you supposed to record every flight and then later delete those flights because there is no use for them or what
@@NickBurnsFPV I feel like that is kind of tedious, do some DVRs automatically record the last flight and automatically delete it between flights or something like that or are they all like this
Nice Video. Thanks a bunch. New Sub/bell ringer. I am New to FPV quads. I screwed up out of the gate i think. I asked Salesman " what do I need to get into this?" With that said, I love the Tinyhawk3. but the radio/remote he sold me was a Tenarus Q (complicated as hell for a noob) ....so many switches. and a non DVR pair of goggles. have no idea if i can somehow record flights. I know. I should have done my homework, but had cash and Im a boy so........... This store was in Denver and not yours. I do love the stuff i have. I just wish I knew there was an easier starter set. Can the Tinyhawk 3 hover? if so, can you trim your hover? Thanks again!
These aren't really made to hover, like a camera drone like a mavic. No gps to assist it to stay in place, so when in flight we have to be active on the sticks. Many hobby shops sell drones, but don't have much exerpience. My local hobby shop doesn't carry anything I might need for fpv other than wire, they don't even have xt30 or other battery connectors we use in the hobby. Seems fpv is a niche inside the niche of RC
Nice grab and go set for LUNCH ESCAPES.....if I can focus the goggles (per the issue you experienced). Great review as always Nick. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours next week.
Thanks for a great review! Would this and the Tinyhawk 2 play nicely with the Radiomaster Zorro Starter set? Either by installing an ELRS EP1 or EP2 receiver OR with the internal multiprotocol that the radio has? I see the FrSky D8 protocol in the radio. I've asked the store, but they claim it does not bind, but another source says it does. If someone has done this and can confirm, it would be very nice to hear about it. :)
@@NickBurnsFPV Thanks for replying. I'm still a bit confused. I got the Starter Set that looks to me, based on the store's page, that has the ELRS internal module. Is this still a multi protocol thing? I can set the radio to MULTI and then find the FrSky D8 protocol. It even starts beeping when I set it in bind mode. But this protocol thing has gotten me confused. O.o
@@crashannburnFPV oh I thought there was an option to have the starter set as multi-protocol. If your radio is elrs we can add a elrs receiver to the tinyhawk. Although, if your starting out, there is learning curve to ELRS, wiring, betaflight setup, and flashing firmware.
@@NickBurnsFPV If the tinyhawk supports the ELRS RX, there should be no problem. I'm familiar with the receivers, wiring, betaflight setup as well as flashing the receiver using wifi. At this point, it looks like the tinyhawk has 2 options I can use. Yes, I'm right at the start line when it comes to drones. But I've been watching yours, and others videos on a lot of this. And I have a drone with an FC that just didn't want to work with an EP RX what so ever. So, I've been through BetaFlight as well as the BLHeli to confirm that there was an issue with the FC's ESCs. I still consider myself very fresh as the RX protocols is still something that confuses me. Thanks for helping me out. :) There is little to no community here in Norway that I've found. And those groups I've found requires a 2 year old FB account. I just made an account and was not able to join. However, I found some other groups that's been very helpful tho. :)

I was looking at replacing my tinyhawk v1 with this as a indoor racer as it’s playing up but at £150 I can’t see the money in it , I could buy 2 hummingbird f4 pro for that what in my opinion are ten times better
yes, this kit is more expensive than we have seen in other kits even other previous kits. This is curiously high, even considering how all our fpv stuff has gotten more expensive.
You get a like because of your flight skills. Anyways, I got the tinyhawk 2 and debating whether I should get a starter piece by piece or get the tinyhawk 3.
The tinyhawk is going to be more agile for outside flights, and the goggles more likely to be used by those without 20/20 vision. In those regards this.
This kit has better radio and goggles. The quads are very different imho. The tinyhawk is more indoor compatible and the tinygo is much more aggressive flight capable. I would suggest the tinyhawk kit as the radio can be used on other quads but the tinygo radio requires a very specific receiver and I believe it can only be purchased via geprc.com
@@NickBurnsFPV true I just couldn’t get the right mind set on which to buy since both seem really good drones overall but now my decision is made with the tinygo
I've been flying FPV since 2016, then quit the hobby as a semi professional pilot in 2020. Now I somehow like the idea of trying it again, with a shrunken setup, just for some fun here and there. I don't want to solder, tinker, repair, and buy tons of stuff again. Maybe this bundle from Emax is the perfect "light drug" for retired FPV veteran like me.
@@NickBurnsFPV I learned this in the "Ready Set Drone" review. It could be false information, I am not as familiar with their reviews as I am with yours and I trust you more. 😉
@@Michael_D_show I sent the emax contact another message. I will likely have to wait until next week for a response. I did fiddle with the record time setting, but it didn't change on my unit.
The TH3 screams just like my TH2. I was hoping the TH3 would have ELRS but from this release I can see EMAX needs to first clear inventory of parts before a new AIO design. 😉
It should and it’s getting colder. I am sure there will be snowy videos ahead. My instincts tell me it could be a snowy winter for us, it’s been about 6 years since we have gotten much snow
$170 for the drone alone? I get that it’s “tougher” for a beginner, but for $170 you can get TWO mob 6s. I don’t see how they can justify that price for this hardware. Specs-wise, the TH3 looks similar to the TH2. The goggles look like a bit of a downgrade in terms of quality. At least the radio looks like a big upgrade.
Yeah I just had a friend asking about this, I told them to buy a mob6 and the radio/google separate and they’ll saved themselves enough to buy another mob6 to be a spare lol
I have been flying my Tinyhawk 2 for about a year now. It's a lot less powerfull than it's lighter higher kv counter parts (obviously) but it is still plenty capable. I have a video on my channel giving it a rip.
AGREED! A total rip off! It's just Emax...for some reason they want a small fortune for their very average, way too heavy whoops! I don't get why people would even consider this overpriced JOKE???!
@@KOrnhOliO1 No, I saw that on the field : people buying the latest hyped stuff like they were dying the next week. depends how we fly it. If we cruise the flight time will go way up, if we fly faster it goes down. Most fpv drones don't fly much longer than 3 minutes when flown aggressively.

Once you have a good sim like Uncrashed and a good controller like the Tx-16s, there is no need ever to go back to the old obsolete real hardware and old paradigm of lying some toy around the sky to get a video fee back... ever.
^ this exactly
It is funny you mention "the lamps"... I have wondered that myself. Thank you for solving that for me.
Its a question that comes up pretty regularly with inside flight videos :)
Im going to order this very soon. This is actually the best review I've seen on this! And man that thing moves in acro mode. Finally can watch someone ring it out
Thank you. Appreciate you taking the time to leave your comment on the review.
Mamba influenced radio. Tinyhawk 3ooks good, especially moving to nonproprietary board design! Big plusses all around.
FYI there is a setting to extend your recording clips past 3 minutes. I believe it has a 5 and 10 minute option.
How do you get to that setting? I haven't found it in the menu yet :)
The original controlled like a 1970s muscle car lol great in a straight line 😂
Having that option to strap the screen to the controller is a nice touch!
I wa between the tiny hawk3 and the tiny go but I love how the tiny go seems to have more power and weight for better flight outside
I used to really love the Emax whoops, but after building a few out of happy model parts they feel really meh to fly. Especially after flying 2S 65mm inside on 14000KV, that's my indoor combo of choice.
Love those 3" 2s toothpicks out in the yard too.
@@kurtzFPV yeah I really love the crux3 over the nanowhawkX as well. Not sure what happened to Emax but they are falling behind 😞
Wow Your back yard is gonna be absolutely awesome when it is complete. Can't wait to see the finished product.
I hope so, its gonna be a 4+ weeks yet, but I suspect its going to be very nice.
"doesn't feel comfortable" As he rips in air mode 🤣.. 💯🔥
You beat me to that. I did the bill the cat, ack!!! he just said that?
I started on a tiny hawk and also referred others to EMax. Even if there are issues they listen to the community and fix them.
Radio looks so much better than the utter garbage that came with the old kit. That new emax board is proving to be tough (has survived some serious IGOW abuse) and would make the kit a winner in my book.
I had to throw that thing out. It was useless. Made for a shitty flying experience
Wow.. I love the detachable monitor! 😍
@@NickBurnsFPV perfect... thanks Nick
The screen mounts to the controller with those pieces. I'm sure you've figured that out by now lol.
the flat peice goes into the back of the controller and then the mount goes to that afgterwards you can screw the screen that is removable from the goggles to it and fly line of sight and fpv without having to use the goggles
Damn... I would've loved to find a kit like this when I started... Seriously! 😂
Fantastic flying and review, Nick!!!
Yep PJC has one coming from emax. I hope more companies recognize his expertise
I've had several of these pop an ESC because a prop gets stuck and the board is so expensive you might as well buy a new one and get the camera, body, VTX, motors, props and batteries.
yes, when a prop is stuck we need to free it before we arm or turtle. Stuck prop is a killer of these little esc
Hi just want ask that controller work on other small drones like the Mobula drones for later drone upgrades this hobby I getting intrested to
Yes, we do need to make sure we buy the same kind of receiver protocol in the other drones purchased.
Maybe on the emax tinyhawk 4 or 5 they will have it all dialed in just right 😁
Hi, Nick! Can you please take a look and check if it is easy to install a hdzero vtx on it? Thanks
without looking I would classify it as easy, as the native frame will need substantial modification to fit the hdzero vtx.
Hi Nick, do you have a personal preference over this kit or something like the BetaFPV Cetus Pro? The controller and goggles look nice on the Emax kit, but the BetaFPV is a fair amount cheaper. Are the drones comparable quality?
I find emax products to be more reliable and have better support
Yes, this radio can bind to other receivers in d8 mode.
@@NickBurnsFPV that makes it a better package for growth. Wish my starter kit would have been like this one.
Love your reviews! Could you please check out the new Avantquads Nexa 3.5 next? Would love to know how it compares to Avio 3.5, GEPRC Smart35, Happymodel Crux35, Emax Babyhawk II.
my next avantquads review will be on the 3inch version of the nexa. I am not sure about the 3.5 yet.
love it. very nice. Love that they are getting away from their proprietary board and converted to a standard whoop board. Would make for some spec yard racing fun! Also... with the new expresslrs boards that are out... this is awesome!
that's a nice-looking transmitter.
Great review nick.thankyou
can you do a video on how to fly with spektrum ?
I cannot. I don’t have spektrum
Oooo, wonder if the PMB tune for the Nanohawk could be used on this one
Nice! Thanks Nick
I wouldn't think so. THE PMB tunes are pretty specific to the quad, weight, prop and motor size.
Nick, how is this Emax new controller compared to the Beta FPV second edition controller, are they similar or is this one got better joysticks in it?
Very similar just a different shape to the radio
@@NickBurnsFPV Nick I have the beta FPV second edition controller and you mentioned the Emax tiny hawk 3 controller is pretty similar to that one, but I want to know if the Emax sticks are any better Quality than the beta FPV controller sticks?

I am not aware of new pids yet.
i got my th3 kit the other day, and i must say the wobble while trying to decend is a bit hektic, when your going much slower than you in this vid it really struggles, i have been going up high to do some flips and stuff so i have enough time to level off, and as im trying to catch it from falling by powering on it wobbles like crazy, one time it even flipped and fell out of the sky from prop wash
Sound pretty normal if we are descending straight into prop wash, also call dirty air.

Can you connect the goggles to a computer for a simulator??
No, it does not have video out.
How is the goggle latency? I want just the frame for 2s pusher builds!
I don't have a measurement for you, the goggles operate as expected, no noticeable latency.
and flash bluejay to the esc it will give you dshot 300,600 on betaflight and yiu can personalize your startup tones to be whatever you want like the mario one up sound or the star wars theme or anything you could think of

I to wish we had more 2s micro quad options.
@@NickBurnsFPV yes I definitely agree
Good review , I have a blast with the TH 2, appears the TH 3 is about the same maybe?
On one of my TH2's the connector on the board itself came off, which I dd not know burned out the board, BUT it appeared to have been glued on ?...I went to find out how to fix it, one person made a vid to show me where to solder the motors straight to the board...but my board was toast...LOL
But still the TH 2 is a blast, I have two of them and will get another to have just in case...it is cheaper to buy the quad then the board/motors.
Whenever you use the DVR to locate it after a crash, how does that work, like are you supposed to record every flight and then later delete those flights because there is no use for them or what
Yes, if the dvr is only used for that purpose.
@@NickBurnsFPV I feel like that is kind of tedious, do some DVRs automatically record the last flight and automatically delete it between flights or something like that or are they all like this
@@anthonyorf8827 The orca goggle dvr can overwrite if full, but others don't. On a small sd card like 16gb we can get 200+ flights on it.

I posted this on the 5 channels.
okay. Sounds like the youtube notifications is working as intended when subscribed to a channel.
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours next week.

any idea if it will bind in d16 i have a frsky x9lite that will not bind d8.
sorry you answered my question i asked it too quickly
What did you do to lose so much? Tips please.
The basics is a reduced my calorie intake. I do exercise, but its not all that often or for very long. I have a video recorded, I need to edit it :)
Could the screen be used for a passenger?
yes
Did thay fix the problems
I am not sure which problems are being referenced
What is angel mode?
angle mode is when the quad is self stabilizing. If we let off the pitch and roll stick the quad levels out on its own.
yes, it will work. D8 is D8, the zorro with a multi protocol module will work fine.

@@NickBurnsFPV I think china is holding us ransom as we can only buy from them , we need to start manufacturing
You get a like because of your flight skills. Anyways, I got the tinyhawk 2 and debating whether I should get a starter piece by piece or get the tinyhawk 3.
Its less expensive to buy a kit, but we often end up replacing the radio and goggles as our adventure proceeds.
This or the tiny go 4k?
The tinyhawk is going to be more agile for outside flights, and the goggles more likely to be used by those without 20/20 vision. In those regards this.
Thanks! Finally ordered it
I’m in between this tinyhawk and the tinygo analog kit any help?
This kit has better radio and goggles. The quads are very different imho. The tinyhawk is more indoor compatible and the tinygo is much more aggressive flight capable. I would suggest the tinyhawk kit as the radio can be used on other quads but the tinygo radio requires a very specific receiver and I believe it can only be purchased via geprc.com
@@NickBurnsFPV true I just couldn’t get the right mind set on which to buy since both seem really good drones overall but now my decision is made with the tinygo

Just got back into FPV after 2 years and I must say you have lost a lot of weight! (hopefully it's a good thing)

I don't want to solder, tinker, repair, and buy tons of stuff again. Maybe this bundle from Emax is the perfect "light drug" for retired FPV veteran like me.
Hey Nick, just learned that the 3 minute DVR recording can changed in the menu of the Goggles. It is set to 3 mins by default. 😉
Interesting. I asked emax about this they reported that was the only option.

Very nice review, as usual, by the way :-).
It should and it’s getting colder. I am sure there will be snowy videos ahead. My instincts tell me it could be a snowy winter for us, it’s been about 6 years since we have gotten much snow
Always nice video Nick, looks like you lost some weight.
$168.00 for the BnF seem really expensive to me.
More than 160 bucks, this small 5A quad ? This is so expensive. Inflation went through the roof or people want to throw money overseas ?
Hey uhhhh Nicky !!!!!! It seems you might have lost some extra pounds .... Hope it was intentional hope you are not nor have been sick....
Yes it is intentional :)
Once you have a good sim like Uncrashed and a good controller like the Tx-16s, there is no need ever to go back to the old obsolete real hardware and old paradigm of lying some toy around the sky to get a video fee back... ever.
I posted 50 reasons right off the top of my head inside the comment box why the sim is better than the real life toy on the latest Rotor Riot video.
@@bobbradford7368 I've flown both, and the stick movements are the same. The only difference is with the hardware in teh sky, you have to set OpenTX to monitor your battery level... and if you crash, you're not flipping a switch to reset.. you're hoofin' it if Turtle mode is unsuccessful....
So yeah, poo poo at sims all you want, but this 5,000 hour sim pilot can burn and smoke a real quad pilot with 200 hours of battery flight in the field. I mean, BURNNNNNN.... haha I could dance around them like they were standing still and i was a UFO :)
200 hours of battery flight.. (200 x 60/5min flight) = 2400 flights. Not likely most quad pilots have even done close to that many on carbon fiber.
@@choppergirl Not knocking sims. I use drl and I'm certainly no expert but do have fun with it. Thanks for the reply.
@@bobbradford7368 DRL is the worst. Yeah, if DRL was what you were thinking of as "sim" versus real world I would have to agree. I have DRL, I put a few hours on it and never touched it again.. too much like a cheap video game fell. Almost completely worthless as a practice environment, maybe good only for an absolute beginner.
Upgrade your game to Uncrashed on Steam, its the state of the art ATM... $16

$300...🤔
I was worried the price point might come out like that. This hobby certainly isn't getting cheaper :(
@@NickBurnsFPV
It's getting back to the prices when we had to destroy a good toy and rummage parts to make FPV.. I'm not really seeing too many "ify" noobs wanting to spend over $300 to try FPV. I always recommend the "tinyhawk-bundle" to noobs because for $160 it was an acceptable risk if they didn't like it.. Twice that??? IDK..
What's your thoughts?
@@PropsOff It might be time to get started looking at second hand equipment. Of course there is sure risk with that as well. I just don't think prices are going to come down in the short run.
Ah be glad , my enormous head , my Glasses are 152mm wide.Sounds like esc is set to high on motor stop,It's time you Get into I.G.O.W. you would do good.
I did igow season 1. I had a really difficult time managing the time to get the tasks completed. If I didn't get them in 1 flying session I didn't have time otherwise. If it was an outside task and the weather didn't work out the day I had planned I was hose and didn't have the task completed. Its mainly the time needed to not only practice but make the submission video. I felt I was only in 10% of the way.
