Update: I can confirm that after leaving the car out in the rain, which came down heavily all night, I no longer have leaks into the trunk. This solved my issue, finally.

I too have puddles on both sides of the trunk after a rain storm. It was driving me crazy. I will check my 1999 Civic HX for those holes. Thank you so much.

Good video dude I appreciate it I'm going to go check all those things on my car. I put a brand new seal around the trunk that helps some of it but it's still leaking on the sides and the carpet area. I have to get it fixed cuz I'm going to build a system in the trunk. Thanks for this

Where is your leak? Yeah this still never leaked again since I fixed it. I did a lot of research though so I might be able to help. Where is your leak at?

Happy to see you found your leak
I've done some stuff I'll see in the next few days because we are getting alot of rain here in Toronto Ontario. I'll keep you posted.
My best step is sit in my trunk while someone runs a hose lol.
I appreciate the help I will for sure contact u if I cant figure it out.
      Talk soon

Just an update for u. It turns out I had a few leaks. One in a seam under the trunk lid weather strip on the right side which is now fixed.
The other is my rear window seal
      Gonna replace it soon.
Maybe past this into fellow viewers of your videos. Thanks again for your video and response

Do I need to take off the bumper to access these holes? Or can I just take apart the interior instead?

2001 civic exact same problem. please put up a short video of your bolt+nut+washers+gasket maker solution. also, how to do you account for clearances between the bolt and the washer? do you use gasket maker on both sides of the outside washer?

My 04 honda coupe leaked from the pressure release flap in the trunk. Fixed it with some clear silicone

Thought my seals were going to. Put hose on top of car running clim in passenger side and push against seal. You'll see you need a new seal.
