Definitely more impressive to leave it as is and just take it to meets so others can appreciate it. That’s basically a classic car at this point, so to do anything irreversible or increase the mileage would be unfortunate.

Hi, i'm from Mexico, i have a Civic EM1 2000, the same color of the video, with the same rear spolier, so looks the same, my car have original 34,000 milles, and it is also 100% stock. I don't use it, only 2 or 3 days AT the year. I am the first owner of that car, and i love to look my car kept in the garage, of course o have very lovely memories of that when i Was in the university. Thanks for the video.

That EX is amazing. It deserves to live on unmolested. I have a silver '98 HX / CVT that I bought new in April 1998. After six years of renewing the car w/OEM parts, it runs and drives great again at 210K. Best thing I did was rebuild the tired suspension. It was like a new car after that.

Just replaced the timing belt and tensioner due to age not mileage. Keep fluids changed and add some AT-205 to you oil, trans, and PS. To keep the rubber seals conditioned and it will drive almost forever. Leave the Civic as is, maintain it, and enjoy it. Drive it!!!

I REALLY HOPE YOU READ THIS MAN..
So my mom had a 99 Civic EX coupe that was red back when they were brand new we did all the exact same exterior mods that you see on this she had the OEM wing like what he has we put the 99 Civic si wheels front lip painted side skirts and grill to match to basically make it a SI clone.... We also did a true full cold air intake header and full exhaust similar to your build
She used to take me to the STREET RACES HERE NEAR SEATTLE AND RACE IT😂😂 when I was a teenager in the early early 2000s
She absolutely loved that car it was tastefully modded just like this one very similar just red like yours also had coilovers on it like yours
She absolutely loved that car her plans were to do a b16 swap or GSR swap and make it a true EM1 clone and then was going to pass it down to me when I turned 16 in like 2007
But unfortunately her boyfriend at the time wrecked it two months before I turned 16 and I've built many Hondas sense then..... currently have a 95 Civic EX coupe I've had for over 10 years that's a built track car
But I've always wanted to find another mint 99 to 2000 Civic EX and make it an a SI clone just like yours or actually get her a 99 Civic SI like she always wanted
I just know a car like this would seriously bring back memories for her and me
She currently has a 2012 Civic SI that she's had since brand new and I've done cold air intake headers full exhaust and a lot of other goodies on it for her
But I know her and me both miss the simplicity of that 99 Civic I think doing mods like what's done to this one or even done to yours is perfectly fine
IF I HAD THIS CAR I would do the exact mods that he has done visually and maybe a few more closer to your car like cold air headers full exhaust because all those parts are reversible and would just make it a little more fun maybe even a set of coilovers or lowering springs tint the windows and call it a day.... that way you could always put it back to stock and I know my mom would love to get the chance to drive one again and I would probably end up giving it to her or doing a full b16 swap for her but I'm sure she'd be plenty happy with that super low mileage single cam VTEC with just intake headers exhaust again

I would replace the sterring, push start with modern radio with reverse camera and change the speaker. With that stock looks nice its easy to steal.

Oh man that car is so sweeeeeet
What he did is enough just keep it as is,as far as driving it that's totally up to him if he want to keep it as a collector, me I would wanna drive it on nice sunny days but I'll be scared to crash it cause there's always someone who thinks he's Mario Andretti.

It’s insane but if you look you will find them although not cheap. Right around COVID summer of 2020 my stepfather bought a 1994 Honda Civic Sedan DX auto that had 38k original miles. As you can guess it was stock and unmolested but now that I realize it was a treasure to the right person. Only thing it needed was a new window since it was broken into before he bought it. Shame he sold it for $2500 not a spec of rust on that car or else I would’ve bought it before PRICES went out of control for cars in general.

whats stopping honda from remanufacturing cars like this but brand new? they have done all the R&D, they have all the tooling, the customers did a billion miles of testing, every common fault is known, they could make a brand new car for like $10'000 thats proven reliable, needs no marketing and everyone would rush to buy it

I agree with the others that suggested do not do anything to that car, take it to sbows, swap meets and whatever and let folks drool over that car. I feel there will never be another one as nice as that pop up.

When I got my 2008 Civic Si it had 8k miles. It now has 21k miles but I changed the wheels, added an intake, Reflashed Hondata, and a Yonaka Catback. I think I’m done. I’d keep this one exactly as it is, but maybe a Yonaka Catback or something subtle like that.

I see a decent amount of stock civics here in the Netherlands, mainly hatches though. But i'd say they're either bone stock, riced out to a point they're useless, or pretty nice, around here.
But they're rarely in this nice of a condition.

@ALLDAYANTHONY I would leave it how it is now and drive it every now and then. My Auntie has the same exact Civic same color with the high spoiler just an auto the same year a 2000 with only 70,000 original miles. She drives it about twice a month and keeps it garaged.
