So it finally happened, we moved on from the drop-ins and finally joined the Garrett family! Pure Turbos drop-in did me well, but we maxed out the capabilities of it and it was time to move on to something BIGGER! With a Fully Built Engine and Transmission, I'm sure you are all excited to see my finally make the BIG TURBO move. Goal to 500whp, here we come!

My weekend/track toy is a h23a swapped Supercharged/methanol Prelude. Been incredibly reliable for me touring. These small displacement motors scare me when thinking about adding a newer honda to the garage. (1.5L's specifically)

bro quit pushing that 1.5 so hard. 500WHP is cool if you have a grip of motors and transmissions on deck. But our cars are too brittle for it and that’s why you keep breaking your whip.

Well to be fair, this is a built engine, transmission and full bolt on, there's not much more you can do besides turbski upgrades lol

Should've went with the 2867 first if 500whp was the goal. The 2860 with the .64A/R flow capability is maxed out around 450whp. Trying to squeeze anything more and you'll be way out that turbos efficiency range and will be putting a lot more stress on it than it's designed to handle.
Well either way, looking forward to the dyno numbers.

I appreciate the insight, but the reason we made the move to the 2860 instead of the 2867 was due to its spool efficiency. The 2860 even if rated at 450whp is not far off to 500whp. The end goal will be 500whp, but as said in the video.. we may change up set-ups in the future. So far at this moment we are switching over to Garrett or PRL Turbo Kit due to us maxing out in the drop-in’s stock housing. Now keep in mind us switching doesn’t mean we will still gain more power, I’m sure the Garrett may not hit the amount of power I obtained on the PureTurbos due to fuel limitations, but that is just another barrier we will soon overcome as we proceed with the build! 👊🏼💯

Quick question, I have a fc3 myself and I’m thinking about building the engine, what do you think a built engine can handle up wise? I seen in a mother comment 500 hp is not even close to what it can handle.
My built block is rated to about 800hp, but anything can always happened even with a built block if tuned wrong or such, but yes building the block would be safer than running a stock block.
I’m looking for a reliable clutch and flywheel setup for my Si. What is your clutch because I am also building my Si. Good luck and love the whole set up brother keep it up

do you know if you can run the PRL big turbo kit with an intercooler which isn’t PRL? I’m planning on running 27won intercooler but might want the PRL turbo kit down the line
You would ideally need everything PRL for the correct fit, all the components with the kit are meant to fit all PRL. So unfortunately the 27won wouldn’t be ideal to get, you possible can fit it by forcing the fitment, but it wouldn’t be ideal.

All that money into that 1.5t. Why didn't you just get a Type R? More potential.
In short, I never planned to mod my Si like this. It just happened haha 😅 But honestly even if I went back in time, I’d still do it all over again. The Si is the underdog and is underrated compared to its older brother the Type R, So I’d rather show people that the Si has the same opportunity and potential to be something better than what it is. Also fun fact: Current Faster 10th gen Si is pushing over 700+ whp.

Meth injection is the route I will be avoiding as meth injection is very corrosive. But it’s a nice route of course to increase power quick, but there’s better routes and the 2860R is more spool efficient than the 2867R. That’s why I stuck with this set-up, I can still produce up to 450hp - 500hp on it.
