“She’s the type of person to say her eyes are green, when they’re obviously blue, but in the right kind of light, sure in order to like yourself” that is too funny 😂 I know of people who actually do this
Had a friend who did this a while back, insisted there were flecks of gold in his blue eyes, made some super flowery self-aggrandizing analogy I don't remember. To bring him back down to Earth I told him they look like someone pissed in the pool.
As an adult that enjoys Disney but not obsessed, it would be nice to have friends who have an interest in the theory and history and costumes from the live actions. I don’t need a whole separate dating experience since I’m fine with friends and Disney is not a personality.
Right? Can I just have friends who like talking about the animatronics, history, innovations, and animation of Disney? It's not my personality, even though I definitely love (some) aspects of Disney.
Same! I like the movies and love going to the parks but that's about it. 😅 I'd love to have more friends that would be interested in going, but it's hard to find people to go with because the parks can be stressful for some people. I just want to go, eat yummy things, and go on rides whenever the lines aren't too long. 😂 I once dated a former Imagineer (I don't live near CA or FL so it was random chance). I was sad that there wasn't a "spark" between us cause he had the coolest stories and was really nice, but it didn't work out.
same here. i don't have many friends who do but i love the artistry that goes into the parks and their animated films, and i've read way too much about their history. the actual disney stan type people annoy me so much though 😭
I completely 1,000% agree. There is so much interesting technological and business history to explore with Disney. So many cool inventions, quirky policies, and cultural anecdotes to make. It would be way cool to have a more laid-back and intellectually-interested group of Disney friends!
"Dammit Cas, we've been through this - let me no-homo flirt with the dudes in peace without you getting in my personal space!" - bi-closeted Dean, probably.

I am SO sorry, but you beaning yourself on the shelf as you spun around was truly classic! I'm glad you're ok and invluded it! Nothing quite like a pratfall!😂
As the daughter of a Disney adult, Disneybounding is actually a really cute and fun concept. Not only for Disney characters, but just generally getting creative and putting together an outfit that resembles a fictional character. I’m a huge A:TLA nerd so one time I did what I guess you’d call “Katarabounding.”
I kinda did this for the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 movie. The day I went to see it in theaters, I wore a long red jacket, belt, boots, and orange headphones to school a la Star Lord. It wasn't a full-on cosplay but it was very fun to put together and wear, and lowkey enough that I wouldn't get people staring at me.
As a Disney Adult myself (but not this bad of a disney adult) i would 1. Never download a disney adult dating app 2. Never roleplay disney in the bedroom
@@EveoriginalsinnerThe TH-camr did ask what Disney adults do in the bedroom and what they thought of the app. They were just answering the question they asked their viewers.
I’m glad Funky was able to talk about these weird a$$ websites without dunking on (most) Disney adults. I personally don’t like Disney that much, but as an autistic person I find it uncomfortable how many people find joy in bullying adults for showing commonly recognised autistic traits (special interests, info-dumping, stimming by flapping their hands and acting “over-excited,” missing social cues, avoiding eye contact, etc.)
I mean, in this case I don't think the issue is having a special interest, it's being obsessed with Disney: a massive, soulless media conglomerate that literally does not give a fuck if you personally live or die as long as it saves them a penny. The kind of company that threatened to sue a father who wanted to paint Spiderman on his dead child's gravestone because it would "damage the brand".
Charging to message people makes perfect sense, especially the high price. You're a lot less likely to troll people if you have to pay to do it, and I can see a website like this drawing a lot of trolls.
@@banquetoftheleviathan1404 It's always transactional for the men, I prefer digital since I don't drink anymore and you break the ice without any awkward feelings.
Fellow ace here. I am lucky I didn't have that problem as I realized I was ace when I was 4 years in a relationship (still happily together) so I didn't have to look. Otherwise I am not sure I'd be able to find someone ever. Are there even dating websites for ace/demi people?
Angled AroAce (aro-spec and ace-spec) here and ugh yeah same, it's just been a stream of guys claiming they're "ok" with my demisexuality and then "suddenly I'm not" - last one actually tried to use the good old "I feel insecure that you don't actually seem interested in me" emotional manipulation tactic. We're not together anymore. 😃
@@annachoc3977 there WAS one, called ACEapp - but it got bombarded by bots, spammers, and generally sketchy people who weren’t actually ace (they would ALWAYS have "questioning" listed as their sexuality) and just there to flirt and try to pick up cyber hookups. Maybe some of those were bots too idk. Other than that, all I've ever consistently found were online and discord ace groups, or a broader lgbtqia+ community having an aro/ace section, or regular apps/websites just including some of the ace spectrum labels in their sexual orientation section.
i just realized what twigged me about "disney adults": its the obsession with going to the parks. like i went to disneyland a couple of times and thats set me for life. the parks are Not that good, they're extremely overpriced, lack seating, its too hot, and overall i have no desire to pay out my ass for something im gonna stand in line for half the day for. id rather go to a roller coaster park. i mean that said, it's a relief i know what about the subculture bugs me! because now im like, well some people find that price and pain worth it for the experience. it really is special to see donald, yell his name, and hten have him wave at you. i have my own weird thing i like spending money on, they have their weird thing, its all groovy.
I realized Disney parks aren't for me after one trip. We went to Disney World on off season for a school trip. Never again. I was so overstimulated and miserable even though the park was less packed than usual.
@@crowqueenamps im glad you realized! but also glad you had the opportunity without having to spend your own money. the 2nd time i was a chaperone so i didnt spend out the wazoo fortunately. i did have a fun time both times but im like yeah ive wrung out everythng i can here
To be fair I’ve been to almost all the Disney parks in the world except for those the American ones and I love them. I have no interest in going to the American ones because they just seem so expensive and crowded :(
@@stasiatheo thats so real of you honestly. okay i think itd be cool to go to tokyo disneyland if i had the opportunity but thats very low on my list of shit to do in japan. (top of the list: go skiing in akita prefecture where a friend lives) if you do want to go to the us ones, i highly suggest going on the "off" season, like in november. its less hot and less crowded. still expensive, but thats why you bring your own water bottles and snacks. the other costs i have no advice on. id always go to another amusement park every october during a girl scout day so fall is what i associate with parks! also why id go onthe water rides first so i could warm up after during the hottest part of the day.
I've gone twice with family in my childhood and I've always just been uncomfortable for most of it. I'd always get traumatized because I couldn't handle fast rides. There's one where I spent the day texting my internet friend and I'll say that I don't regret it. The cruise is wayyy better.
0:50 Oh my God I'm so stupid. I forgot that "armed man" usually refers to someone who has a weapon. I literally thought Frog was talking about a man with arms. I was so confused. I need to take a nap I think.
I met my boyfriend through Galaxy of Heroes, a Star Wars mobile game… So I can’t blame people for wanting to join sites where they can meet people with the same interests. But these particular sites are definitely total scams.
I met my last three exes due to hobbies that I have, but I didn't use a website for that purpose. Seems weird to me. Sure, it is nice to be with someone that is interested in the same things that I am, but to have that be the starting point, as if someone who is not into that hobby isn't worth my time, seems strange.
Yeah but they should meet people like them without ulterior motives. Just to meet new people who can either become friends, a lover or just nothing more than a nice conversation, on a game like you for example. So if something happens it’s also because the feeling is here and it’s not forced yn. And having a common interest with your partner is awesome but if you focus only on that you might look past the rest of their personality which may not match with yours
My dad was one of the designers for Disneyland (before the awful mass COVID layoffs) So it’s always been so weird to me seeing how much people lose their shit over this stuff because I also know an aggressive amount of Disney facts but like I’m not obsessed over it. Anyways fun fact the guy who designed the people mover and doom buggies is gay!

6:37 this is genuinely so sweet
The statement: "You shouldn't allow your devotion to [anything] overshadow your entire personality" (12:30) applies to SOOOOOOOO many things.
Yeah, that's applicable to the entirety of modern fandom.
I once dated a former Imagineer (I don't live near CA or FL so it was random chance). I was sad that there wasn't a "spark" between us cause he had the coolest stories and was really nice, but it didn't work out.
Well, since you’re not personally into it, let’s together make fun of those who does 😂
same here. i don't have many friends who do but i love the artistry that goes into the parks and their animated films, and i've read way too much about their history. the actual disney stan type people annoy me so much though 😭
I completely 1,000% agree. There is so much interesting technological and business history to explore with Disney. So many cool inventions, quirky policies, and cultural anecdotes to make. It would be way cool to have a more laid-back and intellectually-interested group of Disney friends!

As the daughter of a Disney adult, Disneybounding is actually a really cute and fun concept. Not only for Disney characters, but just generally getting creative and putting together an outfit that resembles a fictional character.

Oh, nice! There's an active portion addressing this!
Yes, very good that Funky addressed that (tho I kinda wish it came sooner)
I feel like people who like Disney and Disney adults are two very different things. I'm also nd and like Disney but I definitely am not a Disney adult
I think we should also make a difference between info dumping and over sharing
@UTTP298 did you pick up the skill of sucking on these nuts?
I mean, in this case I don't think the issue is having a special interest, it's being obsessed with Disney: a massive, soulless media conglomerate that literally does not give a fuck if you personally live or die as long as it saves them a penny. The kind of company that threatened to sue a father who wanted to paint Spiderman on his dead child's gravestone because it would "damage the brand".

Your little smile after saying "I love you too" says it all. You two clearly have such a healthy, happy relationship
6:16 I love this❤ it’s so wholesome
Charging to message people makes perfect sense, especially the high price. You're a lot less likely to troll people if you have to pay to do it, and I can see a website like this drawing a lot of trolls.
Makes sense actually. Like the creators obviously just want money, but that makes sense
Paying is also a red flag tho. Its still framing it as transactional instead of consentual. Really people need to go out again.
@@banquetoftheleviathan1404 It's always transactional for the men, I prefer digital since I don't drink anymore and you break the ice without any awkward feelings.

A rarer gem is aroace people 😭😭
Literally I'm aro/ace and finding queer homies in my area is a nightmare
When you called to get “ permission” oh man, it was so cute. 😊 💕

6:33 why did I think you were calling your dad for a second...
i just realized what twigged me about "disney adults": its the obsession with going to the parks. like i went to disneyland a couple of times and thats set me for life. the parks are Not that good, they're extremely overpriced, lack seating, its too hot, and overall i have no desire to pay out my ass for something im gonna stand in line for half the day for. id rather go to a roller coaster park.
i mean that said, it's a relief i know what about the subculture bugs me! because now im like, well some people find that price and pain worth it for the experience. it really is special to see donald, yell his name, and hten have him wave at you. i have my own weird thing i like spending money on, they have their weird thing, its all groovy.
(top of the list: go skiing in akita prefecture where a friend lives)
if you do want to go to the us ones, i highly suggest going on the "off" season, like in november. its less hot and less crowded. still expensive, but thats why you bring your own water bottles and snacks. the other costs i have no advice on.
id always go to another amusement park every october during a girl scout day so fall is what i associate with parks! also why id go onthe water rides first so i could warm up after during the hottest part of the day.
I met my boyfriend through Galaxy of Heroes, a Star Wars mobile game…
So I can’t blame people for wanting to join sites where they can meet people with the same interests. But these particular sites are definitely total scams.
And of you don't share interest you get to introduce them to each other which is a ton of fun.
And having a common interest with your partner is awesome but if you focus only on that you might look past the rest of their personality which may not match with yours
oh my! i thought me and my gf were the only ones who met in a videogame and are now in a serious long term relationship 😂❤
