It’s insane to me how people can go through extensive planning for a wedding and the best vow they could come up with is “I’m gonna smack your ass oooh” IN FRONT OF EVERYONE.
Exactly! Weddings usually take somewhere around a YEAR to plan, so the fact that he couldn’t even write a *single line* not involving something s3xual says a LOT.
Exactly! I’ve never been married but I watched my mother plan her wedding. It took a year of CONSTANT PLANNING. If or when I get married my vows are gonna be a lot more heartfelt than how I’m gonna do the naughties with them.
I don’t think I’ve ever heard that stereotype except for those two instances. All the weddings I’ve seen and been to and both the bride and the grooms vows were well thought out and very heartfelt
I cannot express how much it grinds my gears whenever someone's like "wow my cat is so crazy and attacks me for no reason" when the video shows them just blatantly manhandling their pet. The girl in the pink sweater straight up smacks her cat before holding her against her will, like damn no wonder she doesn't want you to touch her. It's not a girl cat/boy cat thing, it's not complicated, just treat your pets with respect.
It's literally basic consent, which cats often require, more so than a lot of other pets. I find it to be a massive red flag that someone finds their cat to be mean or evil because they didn't give their owner permission to touch them. Watching that video was almost physically painful.
Literally!!! I've always been good with "mean" animals because I respect their boundaries! Especially cats, who usually aren't trained in any way. The biggest reason that people think cats are jerks compared to dogs is because people train dogs to be patient and follow commands but they don't even try to train cats. And then they're surprised that the untrained cat acts like an untrained animal. And a big part of pet training that people seem to not understand is that you need to respect the animals boundaries so that the animal knows they can trust you. My grandpa's cat hated everyone and would scratch everyone who wasn't my grandpa. After he died the cat became my grandma's, but they didn't get along. So the cat, an elderly calico, became my cat after I took the time to slowly gain her trust. She'd run to the door to see me when I came home, I could pick her up without her fussing, and when I put treats in front of her she'd patiently wait until I gave her the signal to eat them, and she'd come to me if I called her. She listened to me and trusted me because I respected her boundaries and took the time to bond with her and earn her trust. She passed a few years ago, she was pretty old, but she was a good friend and I miss her often. Respecting animals is the fastest way to get them to like you. It's also the same for babies.
The issue is how people raise the cat. All the cats I have raise love to cuddle and get attention they meow so I come pet them. Give them love and they love you back. Not that hard if people actually think how they treat animals they react to it.
The girl in the pink sweater is genuinely insane. It was so obvious the kitty was just trying to play fight with her, and she randomly smacked the poor thing and picked her up when she clearly didn't want it. Poor cat. :(
nah the cat didnt wanna be pet. but that was for good reason. the owner obviously has no respect for her cat, a living creature with its own feelings, so the cat probably feels unsafe, as it should. i hate cat owners who dont respect their animal. they will come to you when theyre ready. i never trust anyone who says "oh cats hate me" cuz i know they dont respect boundaries.
@@eep2095 I can see where your coming from. That's how my cats will play, so I just thought that 🤷🏻♀️ it seems after she slaps the cat she doesn't want to play anymore, idk tho.
@@pPookie_bear yeah some cats will do that to play, youre right. but i don't think this cat feels safe, bc i def wouldnt. she slaps it then puts it in a chokehold... abusive behavior.
10:03 when rich people post about having puke covered clothes they're "so relatable" but when there's a sock on the floor in the background of a video recorded by a working-class person the internet mocks them for being poor and disgusting
If Beth didn't have an entire TikTok about being a baker, I would empathize with her clear burnout. However. If you make baking your entire TikTok personality, then of course that video comes across as unhinged.
Is she even burnt out? "I mildly enjoy most of it" sounds like a fucking dream of a job?? Does she have any idea what some of us have to do for work???
Lol I might just be jealous but I think she’s way too blasé about having a job she says she “mildly enjoys most of”, like damn that is my absolute dream of dreams
It's a main character syndrome complaint from a social media personality but still shocked me. Can you imagine asking a TH-camr "What's your favorite thing [(type of video)] to make?" And getting "Money, obviously. This is my JOB. I don't thoroughly enjoy any part; I mildly enjoy most of it." F*ing crazy. Especially someone who went to school for their job - like what's your favorite surgery to operate? Idk, especially if their handle is StevetheSurgeon, right?! Absolutely ludicrous reaction. Anyway, my fave's probably cheesecake or cookies - depends on the day - such an easy question, such a biffed answer.
@riabouchinska I work with someone who was a professional cook for 7 (it was a toxic work environment). She actually prefers retail over working in a restaurant kitchen.
I think it has more to do with that being the only question you get. Like if you did insurance and you only ever got asked “what is your favorite policy to file?” It might get old. I’m a veterinarian (so I feel the bakers pain), so I get asked typically 1-3 different questions. 1) don’t like dogs or cats better? 2) what breed is your favorite? 3) hey do you mind if you can look at this photo of my most pets (insert body part or bodily fluid)…
Also like, I've had some jobs that I didn't like, and it's still reasonable to have a favorite?? I worked for minimum wage at a popcorn shop and can still remember which flavors were mildly entertaining to make and which flavors made my life hell. I didn't like my job, but I certainly had preferences about it.
I legit went "wait who's that?!?" then backed it up, then was more weirded out, but then realised I know EXACTLY how to disguise myself if I ever go on the run (& that I need a better wig). ....also a statement on my sanity cuz WHY would I be going on the run for anything, unless being BORING becomes a crime!
as a wedding photographer, I can't imagine the pain the videographers had to go through first witnessing this mess of a wedding and then actually having to make the best video out of it they could, kudos to them honestly
Honest to God. If I was a wedding photographer or videographer I would have a clause that let me immediately leave with the same pay (maybe more) if they pulled any disgusting misogynistic crap like this... Then I'd offer a fat discount for a divorce remix of the minimal wedding content available. "I refuse to create evidence of what could be considered to be abuse." I would love to incentivize brides to leave men who knowingly throw their own wedding under the bus. "It was so bad our tog refused to participate."
I feel sorry for Kaitlin when that realization eventually hits. In that video, the dad’s speech is like, “Well, I didn’t think you’d make it this far…” and a literal child sipping on his Sprite immediately chimes in with, “None of us did!” Even the kid knows she’s making a mistake.
I think society puts so much pressure on woman to marry and have kids that this is more common that we put our own worth aside sometimes to hit those life goals.
They already have a few kids together and have been together for like 7 years I think and like I can’t imagine having self esteem that low to put up with that like I mean in on board with everyone saying that this was a “shut up ring”
As a person with two cats (female *and* male) Let me just say, my female cat is the sweetest little gremlin you will ever meet, and my male cat is the *definition* of a sassy drama queen!
it's asinine when the majority of felis domesticus is made up of miserable little bastards. if nonbinary cats were somewhere out there i guarantee they'd be equally as miserable too
Yeah I have a male cat and he gets really fussy if I rub him too much, while my aunt has a female cat and she’s really affectionate but just like my cat will get fussy after she gets too much attention. Most if not all cats get fussy sometimes, and that’s okay, they’re just telling us to give them some space, so I really don’t get why people are against the female cats specifically.
Honestly! I have a “girl cat” and she’s the sweetest, kindest soul. I can’t even imagine antagonising her until she lashed out just for a misogynistic trend. The whole thing just makes me sad :(
One of my biggest pet peeves is people pissing off their cats and then blaming the cats for being ‘assholes’. I see it way too often on social media. Cats have subtle body language. If you ignore that, they will escalate to biting/swatting because they know you’re not getting the hint. The easiest way to get a cat to like you is….actually respect them and their boundaries. Shocker! As someone who’s been volunteering at a shelter, that boundary varies greatly from cat to cat.
It's a little like ignoring the signs from an autistic person and their asking you to stop. And then getting mad that they had a melt down or yelled at the person. (Said by an autistic woman) I try to give everyone, pets and people the respect I want.
@@shadow_shine3578 I was just thinking of that. Glad to see a comment about the cats and a reply on autism too. It’s should be simple stuff. If they don’t want to be held or want time alone, leave them be. It’s not rocket science
Yeah- as a person with 3 cats I can't deny I definitely have manhandled my cats before, but at the very least I know their signs well enough to leave them alone when they're too mad to deal with my shenanigans right now.
Exactly. I'd get out while I still had a chance. I liked that comment that said "ladies I am begging you to take the bar out of hell. You do not need a man that badly." And I fully agree. We don't even have the bar on the ground anymore. It's in the earth's core. For the love of god please pick a man that will make an effort. This is why married men live longer and single women live longer.
I mean it's pretty clear he doesn't take her, or their relationship, seriously at all. Hopefully one day she wakes up. Hopefully it's not in a decade or a few, only to realize she has been throwing her life away with someone who doesn't even care for her enough to say nice things to her on the day they made their relationship a legal entity. 😢
in all seriousness as someone who is trying to disconnect from social media but still wants to stay in the loop this is actually helpful… thanks for taking on the terrors for us
My sister and brother in law tried to speed run their wedding. They're both very shy and didn't actually want to be the centre of attention and figured out with the celebrant that the ceremony had to be a minimum of 10 minutes. Best wedding I've attended. You can choose to not exchange personalised vowels!
That's what I did. We tweaked the cliché "in sickness in health" stuff a little and just repeated what our officiant said. I didn't feel comfortable getting all sappy in front of 70+ people, I don't like being the center of attention, and knew my husband would have a panic attack. I think our whole ceremony was about 15 minutes?
@Amasto sounds perfect! We saved so much time for food, dancing, and chatting. It was much better than the wedding where I stood for two hours with my heels sinking into the grass in summer because the 90-year-old rabbi forgot to tell us we could sit again.
That's what happened at my wedding lol We had a married couple as our officiants. Technically, we were gonna say vows, but since the wife was mostly spanish speaking, she accidently skipped over the vow making part. But, it actually worked in our favor because the script I wrote for them made our ring placement vow sound better than anything we'd probably stutter out. 😂
In relation to the Beth the Baker thing, I'm a dog groomer, and I can't count the amount of times people say "Oh wow, you have the best job, playing with PUPPIES all day!" I think it was especially upsetting/frustrating when I was feeling the burnout of the job. And I do relate to her when she says that it's "just a job" for her. I do think there's this expectation of creative/specialised jobs that you must love/enjoy it and that it's always fun. But I don't think it's that deep when someone asks her "what's your favourite thing to make?" It's a natural question. Usually there are parts of a job that you enjoy more than others. It's so weird to get salty about someone showing interest in your profession - creative professions WILL generate conversations because it's not a typical everyday job. Especially if you have social media platforms dedicated to it - you're inviting that conversation. I think it's perfectly fine if she "only mildly enjoys" her job. But I think maybe what's really happening is that she isn't happy with where she is in life and that's being projected outwards. Burnout is a bitch, especially in more creative professions. ETA: I think all the replies are missing the part where I did actually say it's weird that she is mad about people commenting on her job when she posts on social media. I do very much think she is bringing it on herself. Literally the entire second half of my comment is about that.
The more of these types of comments I read the more I realize growing up is a rare thing because people shouldn't be explaining this. It should be obvious. And yet it's not. And not just when it comes to these kinds of things, but everything.
That's fair and a good take. But if she doesn't like her job maybe she shouldn't be baking on her social media channel. Maybe she should do her hobbies on tick tock instead of her job if she doesn't want to talk about her job
That's all fine but she was making her whole online persona about being a baker. Showing off how great it is and enjoying it. It's like someone doing movie reactions on TH-cam. You ask them what's your favorite movie. They're like wtf is your problem. I don't like movie's. I just pretend to enjoy movies online to get the Adsense money and brand deals.
@@marygray7422Tbh, she goes to work anyways so she can profit off of her labour twice. Plus, social media arguably is a job too. At least at the rate these influencers do it. Turning your hobby into content can make you resent it too. Many artists talk about this for example. I think that's the last thing home girl needed.
It's still bizarre to have your public accounts have "baker" in the title, all your content is about BAKING, and then get insulted when people ask what you like to bake lmao
having your ex from high school as a maid of honor at your wedding would be sweet if you guys were friends, but her having to call herself this grown mans ex from high school at his wedding makes it so fucking weird

12:23 Hey, maybe your cat would be less mean if you didn't take a full on swing at her and put her in a chokehold when she gives you the tiniest of warning swipes. That's how cats tell you they're getting bored/annoyed when being pet, if you back off that'd be the end of it. She only retaliated harder when her owner swung full force at her, which probably hurt way more than a tiny scratch.
14:31 they actually did, metaphorically, dig up Keith Herring and spit on him, by making a Keith Herring chat AI and making it say that he was ok with it.
Holy shit the Keith Haring one legit made me want to cry. Truly rage-bating, but also, this is exactly what AI-art-bros don't understand about art: the meaning and process behind the art
Nothing screams "I'm actually anti-art" more than completely ignoring the history behind an art piece, "finishing" it, and doing so with ai, a program more likely than not, not made by the OOP
@@theinitialscc1924 The point of the painting was that it was unfinished. Part of the story behind it was about the painting being unfinished. It symbolized all the untold stories of those lost during the AIDs crisis. The other thing is how disrespectful using the AI to edit anybody's work is. It's one thing to use AI in general, which actively steals other people's art to train itself on, but how would you feel if you made something, spent years making it to tell a story, poured your heart and soul into it, for somebody to come up behind you and use a soulless AI program to edit your art into what they think it "should" be?
honestly the forgetting which hand the ring goes on would have been a LOT cuter if it was because he was nervous instead of not taking his LITERAL WEDDING seriously
I don't know how that bride ended up going through with that marriage. I'm not a woman, and I'm not ever planning on getting married, but I can only imagine how much it cost her to do her hair & makeup, get the dress, set up the wedding & food, etc. (And I have a sneaking suspicion egg head did nothing to help). If I did all of that, wrote out my vows, and was standing at the alter when my soon-to-be husband pulled that move, I'm just walking away. Idk, but egg boy really showed everyone exactly who he is and how much he is just going to sabotage that relationship in the future.
While I agree girls are raised that the worst thing you can be is an “unattractive b*tch” and for women it’s very easy to be one, so when your at the alter and being “what you were born to be” just before you get married and achieve the “best you can do as a woman” walking away would be “making a big deal out of nothing”
Honestly, I'd be incredibly angry as well, but I probably wouldn't walk out. I'd hold my hand out in front of me and say "Ok, that's it, this isn't gonna work." Then address the people who attended and tell them that while "unfortunately" the wedding would not be continuing, they were welcome to stay for the reception because its already been paid for, so why not enjoy it? It would make it really awkward for the guy, while also preventing most people from thinking you're the bad guy in the situation.
the creepy part about manchild grooms is that they spring this shit in front of friends and family after time, money, and energy has already been spent setting up the wedding. not only are they wasting the wife's efforts, they're publicly humiliating her in a situation where it's considered bad taste to rip them a new asshole like they deserve. it's bizarre. if you're going to act like this, why even get married in the first place?
Man, I hate it when people treat cats and other similar sized animals like they’re supposed to be toys. I’m a dog person and you always see people disrespecting their small dogs because they think the signs of distress and fear (growling, protectiveness, snarling, etc) are ‘funny’ and ‘cute’. They don’t ever stop to think that that behavior would be concerning if the dog was a big breed. I think the same is going on with these poor cats, even the angriest cat can’t kill a person so people don’t care when they’re making their cat upset. If you’re not going to learn how your pet communicates discomfort or fear then you really don’t deserve a pet at all
Even at my worst jobs I could tell you my favorite part. People are just trying to show an interest, and you can always subvert the question, like maybe she doesn't have a favorite thing to make but has a favorite step in the process, or likes being awake before everyone, or has a something that's the most annoying.
ive always hated the "POV: you have a girl cat" trend. Its rooted in sexism, and people just cant grasp that male cats can ALSO be aggressive, and you shouldnt be trying to intimidate a cat thats already OBVIOUSLY stressed.
If anything I've found that boy cats are more aggressive. I've had 3 in my life, and 2 of them LOVE to bite, and one of them tries to break skin on the regular. Edit: I just remembered when I was REALLY little I owned a 4th boy cat for like a year, but he tried to kill one of the family's other cats at the time so we had to give him away.
What’s their argument to begin with? How are you gonna be sexist toward animals? 😭 I’ve had mostly female cats in my life and yeah, they might be a little more feisty, but what’s that mean when the males are incredibly stupid? I love my little man but he is lacking in the brain department.
I have a girl cat, and she is the sweetest thing in the entire world. She loves you and follows you around, only whines while sounding really sad if you do something she doesn’t like, and generally has never done anything wrong in her entire life, ever. Granted, her brother isn’t aggressive at all either-he is bigger tho and bosses his sister around, so he does earn the certified mean bully award. I love them both to death.
The guy with the “smack that ass” wows, had a clear mission to make sure everyone knew he was dragged there kicking and screaming every step of the way.
It's crazy men like that will act as if they're being held hostage at the altar but they are the one who most likely proposed. Wife probably gave him the ultimatum of either breaking up or marrying because he's been perfectly okay getting the wife benefits without the paper, ring, or commitment
This baker story is so insane to me. I’m a ballet dancer and I can tell you first hand “oh, what’s your favorite part of your job” is not someone being condescending towards an unconventional career. Things like “Oh, and what’s your real job” are. I think it was very well put that people tend to think more creative jobs are just fun and easy and are enjoyable all the time. That sort of mindset can be frustrating and hurtful. I do think, though, that it’s extremely reasonable to assume that most people who have gone into creative careers went against the grain of the standard to do so because we are passionate about it. If all you were looking for was a job you mildly enjoy most parts of that pays your bills, there were many easier, more typical paths you could have taken.
I think there's a situation here where a mountain is made out of a molehill and that baker was simply going through a serious burnout. I said the exact same things with the exact same exasperated tone when I was burned the hell out with my artwork. I didn't (and don't) love any part of drawing besides the money. It's ok. But even I get tired of answering the same questions over and over again, and you never know when in the middle of a burnout, one more question of the same feather finally breaks the horse's back. I never had a passion for drawing, it's just something I've always done. I don't love breathing, I don't have profound, passionate feelings about breathing, but it does keep the body going so my body does it. It's the same with artwork, it was just something I was naturally good at and something I didn't hate. The 'grain' always grew towards art in here, it was the easiest option for me. Everything else, more 'traditional', however, has been a struggle. Must be the ADHD.
With these wedding vows, I DESPERATELY want to know what the bride has to say. Does she think it's funny? Is she angry? Is this just how their relationship is and it's charming to her, but weird to everyone else? It's the only way I can fully decide how to feel about these dudes' vows
I feel like even if the bride thinks it’s funny and that’s just how they are with each other, she has to acknowledge that bringing couples humour to the outside world isn’t the best idea. I find it really embarrassing that he’s acting like a kid doing a dare while his friends are laughing in the corner, but 🤷🏻♀️

13:30 "Let customers freely choose which restaurants meet THEIR health standard." Yeah, I'm not going to inspect the kitchen of every restaurant I eat at, much less know what to look for beyond general cleanliness. That's why there's a professional whose job is doing that for me.
that kind of "free market will solve everything" thinking is why we used to have milk cut with borax and bread filled with alum. and the less we talk about pre-safety regulations butcher shops, the better.
Over the past year A lot of ppl talked about crappy groom wedding vows, and there was ALOT of them. (yk, who would’ve guessed that men don’t respect women) yet it’s still baffling to me that they can’t even pretend. Not even for 1 minute. IM SO GLAD YOU SHOWED THE WEDDING CLIP. Ive seen a buncha videos about it including from the bride who is now divorced from him thank god but i couldnt for the life of me find the actual wedding video
Where i live there was a restaurant that fired a college age employee who literally posted on social media "they fired me so fuck it, this is what it looks like" and posted photos of the kitchen that were so incredibly horrible that the health department came and shut the restaurant down the very next day, no warning. People can literally die from severe enough food poisoning and also have life-altering complications. I know someone who lost a limb because of bacteria from food poisoning. People have no idea what they might be getting into at a restaurant. Health inspections are an absolute necessity. Thank you to ALL OF THE INSPECTORS!
i mean, only did it because they no longer were of use to him, but thanks anyways. i was also like, “if a health inspector is not a real job, who are you then?”

My female cat who passed in 2020 was literally the sweetest cat in the world, and is actually what made me change my mind about cats. I'm more of a dog person, so I have a rough hand (cat's skin is like tissue paper, you have to be VERY gentle...) but she was just so lovely. I still have a female cat, and while we don't always get along I respect her and she's actually yelling at me right now for pets, because she feels comfortable enough with me to bother me for cuddles despite our occasional misunderstandings. Cats don't care about our stupid misogyny - they're just cats. They act how they want. And thinking about it, most of the male cats I've met have been just as bad as, if not /worse/ than, the female ones. The behaviour of the person in the pink sweater HORRIFIED me... If I saw a friend do that, I'd be down one friend, and that ex-friend would be down one cat. Gross. That look into the camera was nightmare fuel - like jeez, can you say 'psychopath'? Because that was absolutely the vibe. That disgusting person is my new sleep paralysis demon. Yikes.
Right?? Her facial expression was menacing, like she genuinely couldn’t be bothered to hide her hatred and disdain for her own pet. I love cats and am so upset by owners who refuse to understand their love language 😢
Yeah, that blank but intense stare is what made my skin crawl. That’s what crazy looks like. And that poor poor cat, it’s times like this that PETA should take action.
As someone who's owned 3 male cats I will say they can get quite agressive. They like to play but it escalates often. The eldest one mellowed out a lot and I'm now his favourite human to sit on and cuddle, but I've never even raised my voice at them.
The cat video of that women slapping her cat around and forcibly holding her made me so upset. I had two cats, both adopted from the same household. Both clearly abused. Skittish, running from every noise, not meowing, only hissing and hiding, not wanting to be touched, never mind hugged. It took literal years but they both turned in to absolute babies that love to be held and pet. When they want to. Because they are autonomous beings. Cats have wants and don't wants just like most if not all other beings.
i have been waiting my whole life for them to wear a suit and pretend *actually* to be a news reporter, who is the only one who isnt basic. plus they kept a straight face through everything, they even kept it while saying crying to mitski relatable. hope you are feeling better! great vid

Humans assigning gender stereotypes to animals is an especially egregious pet peeve of mine.get it,PET peeve? Ahahaha. But on a serious note, I've had guests come into my home and then say dumb shit about my cats being a certain way because of their gender, what's really funny is when folks have done that and then guessed their gender wrong 😂 another thing that pisses me off is guests trying to give my cats treats without telling or asking me or my wife first,we had someone over once who would sneak people food to my cat with ibs because she thought we were neglecting him because he's on a very specific diet due to his fucking IBS.
@@killianbrooks9652 My Hubby's Grandma used to say how we shouldn't let our cats do this or that at OUR house. I just as politely as I could said, "Well its their house too and they live there. We haven't had any issues so....". Then she said she only was concerned about my Hubby's cat allergy. Which is mild and barely acts up at all. Its funny that some of my cats get confused for the opposite gender too. Yeah, that little orange tabby is a girl and that big white one is a boy. So.... maybe ask and I'll introduce U before U assume.
12:20 ah yes, the cat whose boundaries i do not respect, whom i slapped and then put in a softcore chokehold doesn't like me for some reason.... SHOCKER!!!!
Exactly!! Like the cat was literally just giving a subtle warning that she’s not in the mood and then the owner hits her and pushes her and grabs her. That poor little thing
Yeah, sometimes my cat goes to hit me and maybe i test the waters a little more, or i get a little too cuddly, but i would NEVER, EVER, grab her like that.and i let her run away when she wants to. She bites me RARELY. She's only done it twice, and she's never scratched badly. For this, I am rewarded with headbutts, her meowing and purring with her tail up when she sees me, and her jumpin' on and pacing on my bed every night for pets. I love her so much, but she's getting older. She's about 11 or 12. If you're seeing this and have a cat or are thinking about getting one, be nice to them!! Also i kind of rambled, but i just really love my cat.
that beth the baker thing is wild. it seems like she had a bad day and posted when she probably shouldnt have. but asking what your favorite part of your job is is not a rude question 😭. also if i ever end up with a man like cody, please put me in rehab until im better
It's not a rude question, it's just a question you get a lot so you have to give the same answer over and over again. It starts grating on you. Every person asking is asking it for the first time, but for the answerer, it's the thousandth time to give the answer.
I gotta say for Beththebaker, if a bunch of people asking an annoying question (not even an invasive one, just annoying) gets you to delete your account, you're better off running your business "the old fashioned way". Marketing yourself through the internet isn't easy and it's not fun and rainbows and honestly, that was the mildest case of drama I have ever heard of. Just sounds like she wasn't made for Tiktok business life and that's okay.
Most sane answer so far. People make it seem like she can’t have any emotions other than gratitude and never ending joy. She’s allowed to be annoyed, whether ppl approve or not.
@@goldenglowable nobody is saying she has to be happy, it's just that she's getting so mad over a benign question that's kind of inevitable to be asked, and if something as simple as this runs her off the internet that's kind of on her. it's not even like people were really angry with her so much as just making fun of her, and they'd probably have forgotten it in like a week
I agree, she's not made for the expectations of marketing urself on the internet esp when ure doing something that's seen as a fun hobby. Also i cant help but think some of the backlash is because shes a woman who isnt grateful? both our cats are girls and neither are mean at all. Lily is too friendly for her own good. as in,if she were human,we'd have to have the stranger danger talk multiple times a day. In response to Beth the Baker, I'm a full-time potter, I like it when people ask me what my favourite piece to make is, I can then talk about what I enjoy and don't enjoy making. But I hate it when people call it my hobby. It is definitely not a hobby, my hobbies are gaming and crochet. Potting is my job.
I honestly understand Beth's point. I have had many dead-end jobs that leave me feeling pissed off when it's brought up outside of work hours or being told that my actual passion and career (I'm an artist) can't be money focused. I recognize that the first scenario is purely brought on by my own issues. Having a job you don't like and are forced to keep due to money leaves a particularly potent type of underlying bitterness. I don't act out because I recognize this and am not lying to myself that it something sorta fulfilling just because money is in it. (this might work for others, but not me) and on the other side being left to feel like openly caring and valuing what money you make as some kind of shallow view also leaves a bitter feeling. Unfortunately, the world runs on money. The weird, flipped expectations are suffocating sometimes, but it's really up to you to step back and do some self-evaluation. A balance between valuing a paycheck and not hating your job is difficult- but the best solution. (or luck out and become a millionaire) I think her deleting her account was most likely the best first move for her mental health and best response. She genuinely sounds fucking miserable :(
I think the thing that made people not empathise with her was the fact that her whole account was based on her being a baker, and even that weird example she made with her husband. I’d never judge someone for doing something for the money cause like you said, the world runs on money unfortunately, but it’s the fact that she made every aspect of her online persona about her job which would make anyone assume that she must somewhat like it 💀

It’s insane to me how people can go through extensive planning for a wedding and the best vow they could come up with is “I’m gonna smack your ass oooh”
IN FRONT OF EVERYONE.
Exactly! Weddings usually take somewhere around a YEAR to plan, so the fact that he couldn’t even write a *single line* not involving something s3xual says a LOT.
It's because of how different men and women stereotypically view vows
@ville__bro stop yapping you comment on all their videos
The way she smacked and grabbed the cat was very upsetting
The way she smacked and grabbed the cat was very upsetting
The issue is how people raise the cat. All the cats I have raise love to cuddle and get attention they meow so I come pet them. Give them love and they love you back. Not that hard if people actually think how they treat animals they react to it.
The girl in the pink sweater is genuinely insane. It was so obvious the kitty was just trying to play fight with her, and she randomly smacked the poor thing and picked her up when she clearly didn't want it. Poor cat. :(
My cat's female, and when I saw that video, she was licking my hand and rubbing on me.
nah the cat didnt wanna be pet. but that was for good reason. the owner obviously has no respect for her cat, a living creature with its own feelings, so the cat probably feels unsafe, as it should. i hate cat owners who dont respect their animal. they will come to you when theyre ready. i never trust anyone who says "oh cats hate me" cuz i know they dont respect boundaries.

In relation to the Beth the Baker thing, I'm a dog groomer, and I can't count the amount of times people say "Oh wow, you have the best job, playing with PUPPIES all day!"
I think it was especially upsetting/frustrating when I was feeling the burnout of the job.

She only retaliated harder when her owner swung full force at her, which probably hurt way more than a tiny scratch.

14:31 they actually did, metaphorically, dig up Keith Herring and spit on him, by making a Keith Herring chat AI and making it say that he was ok with it.
Wth??? What is wrong with people???
God that’s vile
🫠
No way...
Holy shit the Keith Haring one legit made me want to cry. Truly rage-bating, but also, this is exactly what AI-art-bros don't understand about art: the meaning and process behind the art
Nothing screams "I'm actually anti-art" more than completely ignoring the history behind an art piece, "finishing" it, and doing so with ai, a program more likely than not, not made by the OOP
the worst part to that tweet was people blatantly being h0mophobic to applaud the AI-ed "artwork"
@@by_tianowen And why am I not surprised that the aibros are also homophobic...
Ai art bros see art as only content for their enjoyment, not as a connection with the creativity, passion and life of another human being.
While I agree girls are raised that the worst thing you can be is an “unattractive b*tch” and for women it’s very easy to be one, so when your at the alter and being “what you were born to be” just before you get married and achieve the “best you can do as a woman” walking away would be “making a big deal out of nothing”
i rarely ever comment on videos but i had to just to let you know that "egg head" made me laugh out loud, please have a wonderful day ✨️
Honestly, I'd be incredibly angry as well, but I probably wouldn't walk out.
Exactly! It's genuinely wild to rant about how much you hate every aspect of your job, when you call yourself Beth the baker.
12:47 Awwww, what a mighty big void! So cute
ive always hated the "POV: you have a girl cat" trend.
!! it made me so mad when she started aggravating the cat more
Tbh I’ve only seen “POV you have a girl cat” videos where they’re dressed in like lil pink clothes and faking putting makeup on them 😭

Well said!
Most of the women in these types of videos defend the guy and say that's just how he is.
@sunnyandthechlo i mean...if it works for them, then who are we to argue i guess

People can literally die from severe enough food poisoning and also have life-altering complications. I know someone who lost a limb because of bacteria from food poisoning. Wait why is it really bad
Weaponised incompetence is all that goes through my mind when I see bad wedding vows 😅

Ooooo I love “Shadow” as a female Cat’s name 😍😍😍😍
my girl cat storm is like shadow. takes her a long time to feel comfortable enough to sleep around you and or touch her belly 😂
on the flip side, my boy cat is a jerk 😂
hes not mean, but he does love being an annoying lil shit
@NotVille_ 🥱 npc posting boo
My girl cat, Ellie, getting into random people cats while they try to buy plants off of us
In response to Beth the Baker, I'm a full-time potter, I like it when people ask me what my favourite piece to make is, I can then talk about what I enjoy and don't enjoy making. But I hate it when people call it my hobby. It is definitely not a hobby, my hobbies are gaming and crochet. Potting is my job.
I loved this! Thanks for making it. Also, for anyone wondering, the bloopers on patreon are worth it! :)
@ville__oh my god not this type of comment
stupid spam bot and misgendering frog? jfc
@@Man-ej6uvon one note what gender are they I'm genuinely confused
@@HazZzel- it's not really your business, all i know is they use they/them pronouns.
@@PurgatoryProductions1 ....I was asking because I didn't want to misgender them, no need to be so passive aggressive. Thank you for the info
I’d never judge someone for doing something for the money cause like you said, the world runs on money unfortunately, but it’s the fact that she made every aspect of her online persona about her job which would make anyone assume that she must somewhat like it 💀
@@jahanarahgraham8003 I mean I have an entire blog dedicated to my paintings and I'm doing well, people like what they see. But I run that blog for money. Nothing else. I'm not here to make people happier or bring something profound into the world, or be someone's parasocial baker bestie, I'm here for the money. Do you need the fantasy of thinking I love what I do for you to enjoy the work, or will you be content with seeing some nice paintings and knowing that the author just wants to keep the lights on in her home?
My cat is happiest when she can see all of her humans from where she’s resting, sleeps on my bed with me, comes when I call her, and demands to be picked up and held at least once a day. Yah, she’s def the more aggressive side. Love the new format. Looking forward to the next installment, but really anything you upload!
My cats both are too!! My boy cat is a little sweetheart but is very very stupid lol. He comes when I call him. My girl cat (his sister) is a tiny little princess who is equally attached to us but is skittish and so doesn’t come when called. We adopted them from a shelter and so I think she’s more traumatised than him but we don’t actually know what happened to them in the past. She’s just as much of a sweetheart as him though, she just shows it differently
9:15 why are some rich people so gross 💀 some of the nastiest people ive met
They're usually lazy if they grew up rich.
@@-katbug.mf what
ngl i didn’t think it was that bad maybe im gross but compared to the other ppl it’s kinda mild at least she wasn’t wearing it around other people lmao if she wants her closet to smell like puke that’s her business. I do agree tho that if she wasn’t a pretty and rich people definitely would’ve harassed her to hell and back
@@-katbug.i think it depends on the person I didn’t grow up rich but i would def consider myself kinda lazy and ngl i didn’t think it was that bad at least she wasn’t wearing it around other people 💀
@@xxzavier42 fair. To be honest I don't even remember writing that, lol. And it DEFINITELY depends on the person cause my dad grew up super poor but now that he's got money he's probably one of the laziest people I know. (Although tbh he's always been lazy even when we were poor, he's just even more so now)
You can't convince me that Cody wasn't drunk at the altar after watching that. What a train wreck 😂💀
with the painting too the amount of people saying "I hate AI but this is beautiful" like genuinely what is wrong with you. You put it into great words of what it represents and why it should stay the way it is
the puke girl i kinda admire. most people i know who call themselves ‘hot messes’ are like “hehe! my room is a little messy! im such a hot mess” but she actually took the term and ran with it
fr and honestly maybe it’s just that everyone else did something genuinely bad but at least she kept it in her own closet but i do think that if she wasn’t as pretty she wouldn’t have gotten that much support

"God, that is terrible."
