    This is hands down the best channel out there for Rebel 1100 owners. At least for new owners like myself. Thanks for all your effort!

    On User mode, for me it's much smoother on city stop-and-go changing from P3 to P2 (P2 T3 EB1 D1). It just needs a little more throttle to get all the power out but for relaxing driving at P2 it feels less jerky and more docile and well behaved. Happy ridings!

      Possibly even renting a 500 from twisted road or riders share for the day first, then trying the 1100.

      Sorry to hear that, my recommendation is to make sure the engine is hot before attempting this procedure. Sorry i could be more helpful but not seeing it in person and in context is hard for me to guess what the problem is. Best of luck brother!

    So a few things really brought 1100 rebel to my attention. Mainly the dct which I discovered when I bought the ctx700nd for my wife. I really enjoy riding her bike but found myself wanting more power at times. So now I'm interested in the 1100 for myself but I also wonder if it might be a good bike for as well cause she prefers the mid controls and it also has a lower seat height compared to the ctx. Now I'm wondering if the rain mode actually decreases the power of the bike or setting it to the lowest setting in user mode or does it just affect throttle response or something?

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  ปีที่แล้ว

      The DCT is what brought me back to riding, first I wanted the nc750x, but since it wasn't available, I decided to try the rebel, very smart decision it turned out cause I totally love the rebel, the power, the handling, the balance, the DCT, the looks, the price, the reliability, the convenience, unbeatable package at this moment! Rain mode does reduce the throttle response and the power felt at lower speed, but all the horses are still there when you are wide open, an excellent system! Once I dialed in the comfort aspect, no other bike interests me, even though I really want another one! 🤣🤣

    I set my power on 3, traction 3, EB 1 and DCT on 1 for maximum fuel consumptions. FYI.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! That's the perfect setup for a ride! I recently switched the DCT to 2, it behaves identical to 1 when you don't open the throttle too much, but feels better when you want a little more with a throttle that's more open.

    does the preset you have reset every time you turn off the ignition? if i set my user mode, then turn off the bike it goes back to factory preset user mode.

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Alexander! Once you set the user mode, it will not change after you turn the bike off, and if you were in user mode when you turned off the bike, the next time you start the bike it will be in user mode again, just as you set it.

    Is T traction or Torque?

    • @ontherebel11
      @ontherebel11  2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Traction control. But Honda calls it Torque control I believe. The traction control will prevent both the rear wheel from slipping and also prevent wheelies.
