Just bought an 1100! In big part because of what I've learned from your channel. I hope Honda knows you're helping to sell bikes!
Hi Wes, i'm so happy to hear that man, congratulations!!!! Thank you for sharing your experience! 🍻🍻🍻
Great video. just finished first oil change on this bike and I also had the right bolt in the transmission filter cap break off when I tried to torque it to 9 I luckily was able to tap it out but be careful when replacing those they are not sturdy bolts
Oh no, I'm sorry to hear that.... Several people have reported the same thing. Thank you for sharing your experience with the community, this will help others 🍻🍻🍻
ey man, I saw you video of the batwing and saw the small bag you have on the side of the bike. I have been searching all evening but cant find anything like that in the stores or on google. Could you point me in a direction? Love the video's!
@@MarcellaSiebenheller hi Marcella! Here is the link to the SW Motech Legend tool bag a.co/d/4Uf0w4g Thank you for your comment! 🍻🍻🍻
Thank you for your fast response. Unfortunatly they do not ship to the Netherlands but now I know what to search for! Thanks again! Ps; im the same person but with different login (used other device haha)
How does it sound? Do the vent holes make any noise on the highway?
Hi Tony! Not at all, no whistling sound from the vents to my surprise! And the vents do make a difference in making the air smoother, highly recommended! 🍻
@@ontherebel11 Thank you!
@ Anytime Tony!🍻🍻
Attention, fellow riders! Just a heads-up for those who, like me, bought a used Rebel 1100 or installed engine guards without knowing all the details. If you're considering SV Motech engine guards, be aware that the design differs between the Manual and DCT (Automatic) versions. For the DCT version, SV Motech extended the lower mounting point, which changes the installation slightly. I installed the manual version on my DCT, and here’s what I discovered: 1️⃣ The plastic cover that shields the DCT unit had to be significantly bent to fit. As shown in this video, reshaping it was quite a hassle and required extra effort. 2️⃣ The bolt in the manual version is not the original one, whereas the DCT-specific version allows you to keep the OEM bolt, which seems like a better option. So, before purchasing, make sure you're getting the right version for your bike!
Thanks for sharing your experience with the engine guard install, great feedback! 🍻🍻
8000 miles for oil are nut as a rule never follow manufactured recommended significant do it between 2500 and 3000 miles
Hi Anthony, I don't disagree with you, i scratched my head when i saw those numbers, but i have to report what the owner's manual states. Thank you for your comment 🍻🍻
I really love your channel as I'm learning a lot about my bike! :)
Hi Don, thank you so much for your kind comments, it makes it all worth it! So happy to hear that you are finding the content helpful! 🍻🍻🍻
@@ontherebel11 All love, sir! Ride safe always :)
Hey, Mr... I was wondering if it would be possible that you could do a T-CLOCS Pre-ride Inspection video for the Honda Rebel 1100? I'm really anxious that I haven't been taking good care of my bike... (It's my first motorcycle as I still am learning everything from 0 experience)
Hi Don, Thank you for your comment and recommendation, that is a great suggestion! 🍻🍻
Do you use a rear and front tire stand when doing this install?
Yes i did use stands, but i have heard of others getting it done without stands, but that is at your own risk and i don't recommend it, the bike is heavy and needs to be stable.
@ Thank you so much!
Which tools would you recommend for this install?
Hi There, The list of tools needed is below, you'll see everything listed as they are being used in the video for reference. 5mm Hex 12 mm socket 17 mm Socket 19 mm Socket Air shim to brace the engine Torque Wrench Blue Thread locker
@@ontherebel11 Thank you so much! You were a big reason why I got this bike and the guards too!
@THEREALJTWOLF I'm happy to hear that man! Congratulations! Once you get it dialed in for your comfort, you'll love it!
First you need longer handle bars, your elbows should be bent at least a little so you will be more comfortable arms and back, second I personally Us a one Piece Mustang King Queen seat, It is large for the driver, Has a higher back rest for the driver also, But as I said you need longer handle bars, you don't want your arms to be so straight and you don't want to be leaning forward, that in itself will make your arms and back hurt in no time. They also make driver back rest separate too.
Thank you for your feedback Kenny! 🍻🍻
Do you clean the throttle body while it is apart?
I didn't need to as it was clean as a whistle in there, i suspect yours will be clean as well.🍻🍻🍻
Hi there. So my OEM battery finally gave out and I wanted to also try the NOCCO Battery, how do you like it so far? Is it reliable? Look forward to your response.
Hi John! I love it so far! The only thing i was worried about was below freezing temps but i tested it out in this video and i'm happy with the results, highly recommended, zero issues! th-cam.com/video/hhXjf2ey3Z4/w-d-xo.html 🍻🍻
As always, you've provided all the information I needed, including what I didn't know to ask. Thank you yet again!
I'm so happy to hear that, thank you so much for your comment, it makes it all worth it! 🍻🍻🍻
It seems burley brands is the set everyone is installing. Thanks for doing something different.
Thank you for your comment! Burly brand is very cost effective, and provides better comfort for sure. But my needs was for something different as my background is track riding and a fully adjustable suspension is what I was looking for. There are other brands to consider as well, Matris, gears racing and YSS. 🍻
Great vid! Very helpful, thank you.
Thank you for your comment Ryan, i'm happy to hear that you found it helpful!! Makes it all worth it brother! 🍻🍻
Thank you for an excellent how to video.
Hi Paul!! I'm glad your found it helpful, thank you for your comment! 🍻🍻
Great video, as always. Do you have a video, or additional information somewhere, on your exhaust? I'm working my way through watching your content, but I don't see anything. Other than, in your "long term review" vid, you said it was custom...if im remembering that correctly.
Hi Wes! Great to hear from you! I am happy to hear that you are finding the videos helpful bro! Unfortunately I did not make a video about the exhaust, it is a custom built one, basically a straight pipe, you could have a local exhaust shop fab one for you, it shouldn't be too expensive. 🍻🍻🍻
Thank you. I actually like the brown seat. Question, is that the reduced reach seat? I know it's suppose to move you a little closer to the bars (about 1") but is it more comfortable than the stock seat? For now I'm think of getting the right bracket and bag from Honda so I'll have somewhere to carry small items versus trying to shove them down my shirt LOL.
Hi Paul, yes the brown seat is supposed to move you forward a bit, but it is not comfortable unfortunately. I upgraded to a Corbin seat. I would recommend watching the seats video on the channel if comfort is what you are looking for. 🍻🍻
The best Honda Rebel content there is! It's an added bonus for me because we are the same height and weight...makes it so much easier to determine what might work for me. Thanks again.
Hi Wes!!! Thanks man, i really appreciate your support!!! 🍻🍻🍻
whats the part number?
This is the HD 752🍻
Those extras cost you a fortune, $10,000 dollar bike with the extras $ 17,000 dollar bike.
It was alot more than that, but if you are interested in the bike, it's not mandatory to get anything for it. Thanks for your comment.
Have you thought about the Viking quick detach system?
I have, but at the time of the saddlebags project, they hadn't released the quick connect yet, but it is on my radar for sure.🍻🍻
@ Right on. 👍
What have I added forward controls for my feet and also bar risers which took away a lot of the pain. I'm 5'11 and it seemed to make a big difference I have the 2024 T model and I get no speed wobble at 100 mph. Maybe that is something that they've changed. I do agree with the lighting controls. The flash system is not great. Used to be a trigger but now it's a button. But I do have to disagree with the oem seat, as I've not had any issues over a thousand mile rides. Maybe I have a more padded bottom? 😂. I will get a slightly taller screen for touring with. I did think the tank was small but after 150 miles it's nice to get off the bike and refuel stretch your legs and have a coffee. It's a cool video dude and I like some of the modifications that you've made. Just saying hello from the UK.
Hi Stuy, Thank you for chiming in bro, this will be helpful to others!!! 🍻🍻🍻
As someone who's fitted a fork kit you provide some very clear instructions, no wasted time, well done
Thank you so much B, I appreciate your kindness!! 🍻🍻🍻
hello - thank you for the great content. Wanted to ask you about the passenger footpads: did you manage to angle like that or you were able to just install them to the extensions for OEMpegs? if there is a link you can share I'd appreciate it - Thank you
Hi James! Thank you for your comment! I had to make the extension myself unfortunately, this is what i bought and cut / drilled it www.amazon.com/dp/B0CKPLBLRX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1 It turned out to be a bit of a pain as i had to drill the foot peg stay to run a bolt to secure the extension. These are the foot pegs i got, but they need an adapter.... sorry bro, wish it was easy and straight forward, like i said it was a pain... a.co/d/3Z9n0LI
@@ontherebel11 thank you for your response. Yes unfortunately it is a pain in the neck. I think it is a good opportunity for aftermarket makes like vikings or burly brand to come up with something more stable for those get after market saddle bag. I contacted Burly Brand but they said there is no work on designing any foot pegs. I figured out something myself but yours seem more legit than what I did.
@jamesserdar yeah it really sucks that there is nothing out there... I tried something different but It was a disaster.... My passenger broke it and fell on the ground as a result, that's why I ended up getting a solid piece that I ended up cutting.....
Hi, have a rebel 1100 as well and just blew a seal. I’m trying to figure out how to upgrade the suspension. What made you go with this brand instead of Burly Brand? Why these are like a shock and the burly brand springs? I’m mostly looking fore a more rugged suspension as we have very bad streets out here. Thank you in advance for the help.
Hi!! I chose these as they have much better damping, so better overall but they are expensive. Afriend of mine installed the Burly brand spings and was happy with the results as the springs are stiffer, plus the price is very reasonable. FYI i have a detailed video on replacing the seals in case you wanted a reference. Cheers
ive run night dragons on my 91 fxstc and `11 sg,only tires i run since they first came out.way smoother ride, awesome grip in twisties, grip well in the rain. i sport ride my bikes and take off hard...luv thee tires.they last as long as rock hard center stock dunlops on my sg. night n day difference on the street glide.my streetglide felt as nimble in the twisties as my softail custom.i run 39lb in front tire and 48lb in the rear. front is 42lb max, rear is 50lb max. night n day difference going over bumps...alot softer.
Hi Brian, thank you for your comment, this will be helpful to others that are considering the dragons!!
nice buddy nice. it's on my list, just waiting on the OEM to die for good thx man
Hi Julio!! That's a smart decision bro! Always a pleasure to see your comment! 🤙🍻
I’d love a video about the experience riding under zero degree Celsius. How do you manage the slippery roads? Is there any snow?
Hi there, I often ride in sub freezing temps, but i do not ride when there is snow or ice on the road. I am prepared for winter riding as i have heated socks, pants, shirt, gloves as well as heated grips. I enjoy going on winter trips, so heated gear is a must for me. 🍻🍻
@@ontherebel11 same here. my record was 22 degrees Fahrenheit lol one night even started snowing no bueno, lesson learned. What's your record buddy?
@Julio-bc7pj that's cold! Mine was in the teens last year, thank goodness for heated gear! 🤣🤣

Hi Frank! It's great to hear from you man! Thank you for your kind words sir 🍻🍻🍻
Discharge is fine for lithium in cold weather... its the charging that shouldn't happen, do these batteries have any cold weather protection?
Hi John, They have protection, but not sure if it has cold weather protection tbh... 🍻🍻
$1500 for shocks + fitting . . . WOW ! I thought this was a cheap bike ? . . . .Thanks for the video .
Yeah... unfortunately Ohlins is expensive... But there are other options out there to consider such as YSS. Thank you for the comment!
If you want to avoid starting your Rebel battery in the cold, you have to do what I have done.... relocate to a tropical country 🌞⛱🌴. Well, I couldn't find a better reason for moving to the Philippines, right? 🤜🤣🤛
Who wouldn't love to retire in a paradise like the Philippines? Some day my friend.... LOL

Wind Chill has no effect on equipment. It only affects living things. But, great quick video on the Lithium battery.
Than you Bill, yes you are right, it does not affect equipment, but i assure you that it affected me LOL, Hence the short video hahahahha
I disagree, i hope you are joking.
@@FrankValiente-ng4mkIt doesn't matter if you agree or not, wind chill has no effect on non living things. More directly, it only affects heat on skin due to removing the thermal barrier you naturally build around you. If it's -20°F with a wind chill of -40°F, the surface temperature of equipment (i.e. a motorcycle) will read -20°F. That's why when wind chill is factored in, it "feels like" -40°F even though it's only -20°F.
