Gotta say man, as s 300 pound rider, it's so nice seeing a killer rundown from someone who knows the challenges of our weight. Thank you for what you do
Whatever you do, stay away from the Mustang Solo seat if you are 6ft or taller!! It pushes you forward and closer to the gas tank! I have one and the riding position is tolerable on long rides, but I am saving up for the Corbin. I know, for the price, the Corbin should make me coffee every morning!! However, my knees and hips are screaming for comfort! The Mustang Solo is much more comfortable than the original “Preparation H” seat that the bike came with from the factory! So Corbin it is. Awesome video guys. 👍
I agree. The oem brown seat is a little better than the original, but it's still not even close to having a proper seat. The Corbin gives a little bit of that forward lift, but the lift is more than the forward if you know what I mean. It doesn't push you up onto the tank
On my Rebel 500, I did have the Corbin seat. After a year it felt like I was sitting on the frame, then I bought the Mustang seat. The Coffman exhaust was loud enough for me and so the baffle was left in. No problems with the paint job either. The risers wouldn't have been enough for me, since I'm a small person. So, the dealership ordered new handlebars at the time of purchasing the bike. Forward controls were purchased from Thailand to fit with the crash bars. The Italian forward controls wouldn't have fit with the crash bars. I had exchanged the Rebel 250 mirrors and put them on the 500. The old mirrors are better Also put deer whistles on all of our bikes. You did a nice presentation of all of your modifications!
@@jcjrdigital5570 I have decided to give the Mustang Solo a little more time to “break in” so that my riding position will be more comfortable, and hopefully I won’t have to swap it out for the Corbin. 🤔👍
I have the handle bar risers on order and I just picked up a pair of “Rebel” wide foot pegs in black to keep with the totally blacked out look of the bike! Also, just after I purchased my Rebel last August, installed a TPM (tire pressure monitor) system that I got from Amazon on my bike and it has worked flawlessly for almost a year now and it’s extremely accurate when I compare the readings to a regular tire pressure gauge. It’s spot on and the I only need to charge the battery in the main unit every 5+ months! I highly recommend it! 👍
@@redhenracing2 It is a Fangzi TPM if I remember correctly. It was around $39 bucks, I haven’t had any problems with this system at all! It even has an audible and flashing alarm if one or both of my tires should start to lose pressure below the psi that I set. So if I catch a nail and get a slow leak, it will let me know. It also works if my tires become over inflated above the psi that I set. The setup is not difficult and the directions are pretty easy to understand. It took me roughly 20 minutes to complete everything including the sensors install. Also it’s waterproof! 👍
I am enthused yet offended Imagine my surprise when I spent my entire adult life having to shave every day, and then when I got out at age 30 and can finally grow a beard, this red shit starts poofing out
My mods so far are Honda OEM but the heated grips were on indefinite back order when I ordered them 2.5 years ago. I’m going to look again. I have the Honda reach seat and it’s comfortable for me but I just swapped it out for the original seat and haven’t tried it yet. I have plenty of padding lol. Thanks for this video! I ordered the screen protector.
Great review! The quad lock is a great phone mount however I prefer the Eowihor. Weird name, great phone holder. It's a cradle you simply drop your phone into then hit the lever on the side to close the cradle tight around the phone. There have been times I forget to hit the lever and it still securely holds held my phone. It's adjustable for most phone sizes & has multiple ball mounts that come with it at no additional charge and it's very inexpensive, around $18. Having the ball mount allows you to quickly rotate your phone with one hand. It allows you to use your existing phone case, as long as it isn't over 9.25 cm wide (The Galaxy 20+ is 7.8 cm wide).
@@redhenracing2 Yeah it's cheap but durable! I went around the track on my YZ250 with this mounted to the bars with no issues. It's now mounted on my street bike.
@@Kephers7 if you're short on leg length, be aware that most seats will sit a little higher. Burly also makes Slammer Shocks that do the opposite of Roby's and actually lower the bike, but I haven't tried them out so I can't tell you how they affect the ride. Otherwise, it's a great first bike! It handles very predictably, and doesn't have a ton of what I call "accidental power" like a liter sportbike. It's quick enough, for sure, but a wrong twist of the wrist isn't going to have you wearing it for a hat.
Hey. im 5' 11 and 275lbs. Just bought the 2024 rebel 1100T.. You should pull the trigger. But OMG does this seat suck ass lol. I can last an hour tops.. And forward controls are a must. At least for me.. The riding position kinda sucks coming from a honda shadow 1100
I have both 500 and 1100 2024 . Im short 180lbs for me both feet flat. even standing. Great bike, super to ride. I got the 500 because as you I am a new rider.. 6 months later, I needed more. 😅 and bags. It is a low ride, so if you are long-legged, you might want to purchase a used one. It is a great bike to learn and keep. Bit if your legs a jacked up that will suck. Same if Im on my toes stopping in New England with all those asphlat dips and holes.
I'm about to order another set of the Oxfords for my Blackbird since I took them off to put on here. It also had charging issues and couldn't support any aftermarket electronics, but now that it's sorted we gotta get the warm fingies again
@@redhenracing2 eeh I don't really know, I've got a 2010 Aprilia Shiver that's always been with me and I find difficult to part from. I've always liked cruisers but I find Harleys, Indians etc to be too big, heavy and expensive. Here in ol' Europe japanese cruisers are not imported anymore save a few exceptions, and the Rebel 1100 is tempting even though here it's DCT only. I've seen one on the road the other day (rare!), took it as a sign. I don't really want to have more than one bike though, my work keeps me away from home long enough I rarely use one as it is.
Definitely like the windscreens, foot pegs, and seat. I saw two bros makes an exhaust for the 1100... I have that exhaust on my 500 and really like it... Just haven't seen a lot of videos comparing the sound... Also two bros customer service isn't fantastic..
Thanks a lot for the video. I've been waiting on hearing about all the mods you've done on you're rebel. I was really torn between the cance and hines exhaust vs the coffmans but seeing how terible the finish is i understand why that exhaust has been out of stock for months now. Think ill just have to go for the coffman thunder instead.
i ran ram mounts on a few bikes and didnt have issues although i did use the rubber straps with mine, even held phone on the bike through a complete destruction crash i had in 2019
I'm very interested in knobby tires on that bike. I live in the country with a lot of dirt and gravel roads. I really want the rebel 1100 but might have to get a scl 500 because of the roads where I live. Thanks for the info in this video!
@@JohnANellis Roby is talking about doing a set of Murants on his, seems like the ideal tire choice for hitting some dusty trails once in a while without sacrificing highway comfort
Yeah, I'm out here in BFE and I don't plan to take it on the off road trails, but a different set of tires to handle these curvy, sometimes gravely roads would sure give me some piece of mind
Im Also 300lb+ with a ginger beard, so your advise is extremely relevant! Bikes supporting my weight/suspension/ seating are all major factors for me, so thanks for the review! Im looking to trade my versys1000 for a rebel soon.
Nice review of parts. The Honda heated grips working with the display is cool. How well does the Cardo sound and work with the aftermarket slip on? I don't like the looks of the stock muffler on my Rebel 1100 and am looking at the Two Brothers one with the silencing cone. Maybe, the Vance and Hines. But, I have to be able to hear my wife over the Cardo Edge while she rides her Rebel 500. Stock sound doesn't bother me but muffler looks terrible.
The V&H is the correct oem+ option, it's what the bike should have looked and sounded like stock, and they are showing them in-stock again so hopefully they've fixed the finish issues.
@@jerrycarter1928 did the same happen to yours? I'm told they've been unavailable for a while, hopefully they're working it out. Finish issues aside, it's the best build quality and sound I've witnessed on these bikes.
@@redhenracing2 no, but I know the brand name so I've come to expect very good results on fit, finish and performance. If I had to guess, they sourced the manufacture out to China, with no supervision on quality control to make sure they were made well. Instead, they were made to a price point; they only looked good new in the box. They might sound great, but if they look like yours, they will not sell another set of pipes. Great video BTW.
22:23 speed wobble 😮 i've heard putting different tires helps with the 83-90 speed wobble. specifically the "Metzeler Cruisetec" tires and apparently they give better stability.
I went through the speed wobbke problem. The Rebel 500 at above 80 mpg no wobble. When I got the 1100, I started to wobble at 80 and got worse as I wanted to ride faster. A guy at work told me to check my tire pressure, so I used my foot like on a car. Lol Feels fine to me. Tire is hard no way the tire pressure. Brought it to the dealer crying my 1100 no faster than 500..😭 Aked me if I checked my tire pressure. I said yes, same as a car ... "Do you use a tire pressure gauge." Of course not... Then, the mockery ensued. I was persistent with the mechanic, a track race guy, and an instructor. I was prepared to retun the bike if it wasn't fixed. " Well, I can't drive over the speed limit ." Lol yah sure... Got the bike back, and he said, "Tire pressure.." Then he said you need a tire pressure gauge digital and a small compressure. make sure your tire pressure is always good. Went for a ride and no wobble... I felt stupid because it was... Lol
Hey, sorry for the late reply. We did a viral and some stuff got lost in the sauce I did notice that a bit on Roby's bike, but mine doesn't do it at all. Like stated, I think tire pressure could be a factor because it's the easiest thing to be different from bike to bike, maybe it's just sensitive 🤷 Burch said he tested his out to be because of a phone mount on his handlebars, and I find that difficult to process, but he do have MANY more miles on these things than I do, so idk. I haven't had mine around this summer and have only been riding the BlackBird, so I'll have to do some testing when I get back on it in the summer.
Either of you have issues with the bikes starting to wobble 93-99 mph? I have heard better tires is a solution but wondering your thoughts. Great video, going to get the risers and the Corbin seat.
@@codycavender9293 you can see Roby's bike start to dance a bit @22:25 right about 80mph. Both our bikes do it, and I have no issue with it because literally the only time I ever hit those speeds is when I'm recording something for yall 🤷
I know I'm probably gonna get laughed at for this, but I would love to get a proper dual side exhaust for the Rebel. That way, it could probably have the correct flow while being positioned on both sides, and not take so much space on one side. It could allow for bigger saddlebags without sacrificing the lean angle.
@@redhenracing2 It's not about practicality though. Just looks. I might need a proper bagger to deal with that 🤣. Look at the Indian Chieftain for example - it has dual exhaust, and the bags are the same size. Love the symmetry. Too bad it costs twice as much though...
I think the Dublop Mutant was available in this sizing last I checked, that is what he was leaning towards. RevZilla usually has the best selection, poke around and let me know what you come up with!
Sweet bikes and sweet video! I've got a combination of your bikes. I've got it setup it for touring with the batwing fairing and viking hard bags and trunk but it's all quick release to go back naked. I've also got kenda k761 dual sport tires for getting a little offroad! 😁
@@genoapb very cool. I'm probably gonna be getting a batwing for ours as well, and paint-matching both it and the gauntlet to interchange for around town vs. long trips. Do you have the Memphis quick-lock setup?
@redhenracing2 yep it's the Memphis shades trigger lock but with a krator batwing which seems to be identical to the Memphis shades batwing but a couple hundred bucks cheaper! bikes on rebel 1100 world and owners if you wanna check it out.
if you ride for like 2h non stop seat is often first thing that in majority of bikes needs to be changed or at least buy some jell pillows or something
i test drove a rebel 1100T dct today. very powerful and can see it would be a very fun bike to ride, but literally 5 minutes in, my butt started hurting and i'm wearing skiveez! at least on the 750x, i can go 45 minutes without my butt starting to hurt with skiveez on. incredibly uncomfortable! and you can't fit a helmet into the saddle bag. you can fit a helmet in the "frunk" on the 750x. 2 big dings against the rebel. i'm sticking with the 750x
The 750x is a very different machine, certainly more suited to adventure touring purposes. The Rebel absolutely needs a different seat, I wasn't on Roby's long enough to tell a difference between the stock and SE seat or whatever it is that he has, but the Corbin makes a WORLD of difference.
This is a great video and I will definitely be doing a few things to mine that you recommend. What is the antenna thing pointing up from the handlebars?
I had a couple questions about your SW Motech bags. How far out from the bike do they sit when mounted? And what is the total width across the bags and bike with them both mounted? Those are one of my top choices for bags so far as they have everything I’m looking for. But man, the price. But once, cry once I suppose.
I'm a new owner of a 2023 1100 DCT 🤪. This whole automatic thing is so weird to me. First off, I'm a baller on a budget & I have champagne 🍾 taste with beer 🍺 money 😮💨... I believe the exhaust swap is 1st. I'm looking into the shorty GP because it's roughly a $50 bill and maybe they'll take food stamps 🤷🏼. I'm also considering a TBR slip on because I like the sound of it as well. I need my tunes and have a Bluetooth helmet, but I've been looking into mountable speakers that wire into the battery, only problem is the handlebars don't give you that much space to work with on this rig. If there was a DM option I would've already slid in 🕺🏼to really get your advice. Anyhoo, lemme know what cha think. Great video guys!
I recommend a Cardo headset (I use a PackTalk Slim), the audio is excellent and multifunctional for calls, group rides, etc. And I find cruisers blasting Kid Rock or Daddy Yankee to be fucking obnoxious myself 🤣 The DCT does take some getting used to, how are you liking it?
@@redhenracing2 Welp, I rode it for about an hour yesterday and so far, muscle 💪🏼 memory still has me grabbing for a lever that isn't there. Whenever I stop at a stop light I want to hold the clutch so it doesn't stall on me. It has quite a bit of pep that sends me back into the seat. I'm a muscular 5-08, approximately 219 lbs (slimming slooooow). I like that my feet can actually touch the ground. I wanted to go back to your video to find some inexpensive mirrors, because I can't see shit out of the bicycle stock mirrors. Ooo...I pissed the dealership off because I was adamant there was a type C USB port on the 1100. They argued with me and I even showed them the Honda site that proves it. We watched videos, and went to Google and finally a video on TH-cam showed where it was. I found it so crazy dealerships don't even know they're own products. One less thing I need to buy. I want to put some front sliders but not necessarily the full crash bar setup. I want to install some fog lights and mount them to the slider pegs but I'm having no luck finding anything like that. I'm literally am learning as I go as the dealershit didn't teach me about the bike at all other than the basic, they called it a powerful moped scooter 🛴. I just noticed, I don't even have an owners manual 😮💨
I got a thing for the 1100s, idk what it is. Between the Rebel, my Blackbird, and a project ST1100 I'm looking at this weekend, I guess that's just my vibe 🤷
@16:30 as a former Washington resident I feel his pain and hate Washington roads. They’re garbage. Part of it because winter but the state government never allocates money for simple fixes
Red Hen should pick up a Kawasaki Vulcan 750 and do similar mods. As for the exhaust mods, a loud pipe and poor seat make long distance riding very tiring.
I got nothing against the Vulcans, I'm just generally not much into cruisers to start with That's why I say the V&H is the perfect setup on the Rebel, it has just the right volume to not cause any fatigue after hours 👌
I am really considering buying this bike. I've been watching as many videos as possible and yours came up, awesome stuff you've done to your motorcycle ! cheers! 😁 edit: out of all the things you have done, you did not install the passenger chair and backrest - that's what im thinking about doing, in your opinion, how well does the bike handle and do you think riding with a passenger on this bike would be a "good" ride?
Hey, sorry for the slow response It is being loaned out to family across the country at the moment, but they did install a passenger seat and pegs on it. I probably won't see the bike again for another 6 months or so, but soon as we do I'll have Skye hop on for a test ride and get back to you! I don't expect any issues at all, aside from suspension bottoming out. I'll be doing the Burly Stilettos, and maybe we need a before and after of carrying a passenger with them 🤔
LOL, Im something around your weight. Im glad that there's someone that gives their impessions from that perspective. I call myself a "Man of Substance."
@redhenracing2 yeah, at six feet the bars seem far away. I'm actually get some 4" pivoting risers on tomorrow. Alot of your other upgrades I was already considering, but after your video now I feel good about doing them.
@@redhenracing2 Good evening sir. I've had a chance to ride for a bit with the new risers on, and they are amazing. I can now sit upright, instead of canted slightly forward as before, and my elbows are bent some, so it's quite comfortable. I'm having to get used to the new riding position, since it puts pressure on different parts of my butt than previously. The risers also put the mirrors up higher, so I get a better field of view as my elbows aren't in the way so much. All in all, I'm very pleased with them. For reference, I'm more torso than legs due to a smaller inseam than you'd expect from a six foot guy.
Have you ever experienced any hopping from the front end of your bike? I'm 200lbs 5'9 and I have basically maxed out the preload on the front and rear shocks. However, once I get to 52mph (consistently) the front end of the bike starts shuddering. I've put a brand new set of Metzler cruisetec tires on front and back and it's still happening! I started to wonder if I was too heavy for the bike, but 200lbs isn't crazy. I've got it booked in with my dealership because I actually think something could be wrong with the front shocks, because the bike shouldn't be doing this, but curious if you ever experienced any quirks, as a gentleman of your build?
What year is the gray honda rebel? Also did he just put the 1inch risers on and didn't need to change the length of the cables? I have a 2024 Honda rebel 1100t and thinking about the risers. I did install a sissy bar, luggage rack and vincent hines. Also installed the engine guard.
Roby's bike is a '23, and my Merlot is a '22. For just one inch of riser, no cable adjustments are necessary at all, at least with our DCTs. If there's an issue with the clutch on manuals, we wouldn't know about it. Highly recommend giving it a shot though! Which engine guard did you go with? I've been considering one as a place to mount extra lights.
@@redhenracing2 I went with JJMoto. They are a 20 year experienced manufacturer and exportor of motorcycle parts and accessories for Honda, Harley, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Yamaha, Aprilia, Ducati and BMW motorcycles and Atvs.
I was able to install a 3 inch riser, on top of a 1 inch keeping all OEM cables, just rerouting them, not such a big deal and your back will thank you.
I typically run with traction and engine braking all the way down, power all the way up, and the transmission in the middle. That's where I find it to make the most logical decisions for my driving style.
Where did you get the 1" risers from? If you mentioned it in the vid i missed it. Found some on Amazon but they go up 1" and back 1" as well are these like the ones in the video? You didn't mention them moving the bars back.
Hi, the link in the description is accurate. It says it's for 300 and 500 but it fits the 1100 exactly the same. Those are the ones that Roby is running on his bike.

1st time watching. Try to catch a lot of 1100 content. Really enjoyed! Were there other mods you did before these and switched? I saw the front fairing fail on 1st choice. How did you research what modifications to do?
I just throw money at things and see what sticks My biggest switch-up was the exhaust, I started with a Shorty GP which just sounded and looked cheap. Even though the finish on the V&H is wack, it's still my favorite look and sound by far. And I thiught the Puig windshield would do a lot more than it did, but when Roby sent me this Gauntlet for Christmas I saw immediately that the Puig was inferior. Hopefully it'll get paint-matched soon, but I have a lot going on with the Supra and in the middle of race season with the Miata, so probably won't see the Rebel again for a while.
Probably a good comparison, I've only ridden a V-Rod and that was a pretty similar vibe overall. I'd reckon the Rebel is faster and definitely more comfortable in any configuration, that V-Rod seat was awful
Yo ! I’m in WA as well and appreciate you guys taking the time for these videos. I just bought a ‘22 rebel 1100 DCT and my credit card is popping off for add-ons to this bike 😂 I do have some questions tho. 1) How tall are you guys? I’m 6’1” and I’m torn whether to get the Trex peg ext, or the Burly pegs? 2) Will the shorty exhaust burn my wife who wants to ride passenger? 😅 3) Have you seen the Trex headlight cover? I have one but unsure if it could interfere with your choices of the windshields ?
1) we are both 6-1, 6-2 and I definitely have switched sides on footing. The Burly MX pegs are the shit, and I'll be seeing if I can fit them to the BlackBird as well. 2) if you're talking about the GP Shorty style exhaust, that just puts out right off of the header pipe(like I was running in our first Rebel video), it should be able to be angled away from the rear footrest. But it looks and sounds really bad compared to either of these, you should consider the V&H if they ever put it back into production 3) I am aware of it, but haven't looked at it closely. If it fits tightly around the silhouette of the light, it shouldn't interfere, but I can't say for sure.
I've only seen a bit of wobble at like 85+, and it's inconsistent. We're both on stock tires still. Burch did a test and found it to be bad aerodynamics from his phone mount, of all things, so idk 🤷
On mine, I run Traction and Engine Braking all the way down, Power all the way up, and Transmission in the middle. That's what I find most predictable for my riding style.
I haven't personally tested a Mustang, but other commenters have indicated it pushes you both up and forward. Might be the move for somebody on the smaller side 🤷
For the price of the Vance & Hines exhaust that is brutal! I was thinking of going with that for mine but after watching this video no way in hell will I spend that much money on that garbage! They should be ashamed of that product!
I recommend sticking with the oem location mid-controls with the Burly MX pegs. That's my favorite control setup I've tried. These T-Rex floorboards are super adjustable and may get the position you want, but I honestly think they are overcomplicated with too many hardwares to come loose and not as comfortable. As far as heel-toe shifter setups, I've never ridden anything with them and don't see the point. What is that supposed to do for you?
@shawndoan8059 I think moving the controls farther forward and altering it that way really kills the vibe of the bike, but I'm sure somebody has done it 🤷 It's meant to be more sporty
I'm not proud of some of the audio in this one, but we make sure to learn something every video 🤷 Check the most recent Supra video for an update on our audio quality and mic situation, I think we're getting it together 🤙
@@dragonbrandon1995 I might play with that eventually, but the Supra is taking all the money right now. We always have a lot of stuff going on, and the Rebel is pretty great and squared away as it is, so it might be a while
Sometimes it's steel-toes, sometimes it's the riding Crocs 🤷 Everyone has a different level of acceptable risk in any given context, and I don't pretend to be a role model. You know, because of the shenanigans
Yeah, they're a different vibe altogether. I may try a paint-matched Batwing at some point, I think it would look better than the Gauntlet. You like the Shadows?
I know it sounds cliche, but it's like putting lipstick on a pig. These things are butt-ugly and in dire need of a revision. The old 250 Rebels were underpowered, but at least they looked good. Maybe the 450 Rebel should have been reintroduced.
I'm fairly certain you spent this money on parts to upgrade a bike - and to make money via TH-cam et al. Ha. This joke aside (truth in humor), nice video.
To date, this video has not even paid for my grips 🤣 I've been doing this shit my whole life, we just started the channel to see if our money spent can help save somebody else from making the same mistakes 🤷 If it entertains someone along the way and maybe one day turns a couple of dollars, thats cool, but we're still a long way from quitting our day jobs
Yeah, sorry dude. I did my best to edit out that frequency and just lowered the level and captioned it for you, but my bike is being rented out on the other side of the country so I can't just re-film with it at will. How would you have handled it, full voiceover?
@@redhenracing2 You need a little more preparation when filming. And an audio recorder with a built-in compressor - that will make a huge difference. If the recorded audio is clipping, then there's not much you can do to save it.
@@_nopestr do you have any recommendations? The Sony mic I mentioned in the video only acts like that at higher speeds when wind noise clips it out. It's the same mic as the footage on Roby's bike, just sitting in much lower speed traffic. It's being run off the gopro media mod on my chin mount. Audio quality is one of the next things we are going to start pushing on for our production quality, as it has presented itself as a weak link a few times now. 👍

I just checked it out, and I gotta say, it looks like some cheap Chinese stuff. I think you're getting what you pay for with the QuadLock.
@@redhenracing2 Yeah it's cheap but durable! I went around the track on my YZ250 with this mounted to the bars with no issues. It's now mounted on my street bike.
I'm eyeing this 2024 Rebel 1100 for my first bike. I'm 5'11' and 310 LBS. So i'm thinking I'm gonna upgrade the seat for sure.

Nice review of parts. The Honda heated grips working with the display is cool. How well does the Cardo sound and work with the aftermarket slip on? But, I have to be able to hear my wife over the Cardo Edge while she rides her Rebel 500. Stock sound doesn't bother me but muffler looks terrible.
The V&H is the correct oem+ option, it's what the bike should have looked and sounded like stock, and they are showing them in-stock again so hopefully they've fixed the finish issues.
Totally agree with the Vance Hines exhaust finish comments.

22:23 speed wobble 😮
i've heard putting different tires helps with the 83-90 speed wobble. specifically the "Metzeler Cruisetec" tires and apparently they give better stability.
@redhenracing2 what's your take on that?
I went through the speed wobbke problem. The Rebel 500 at above 80 mpg no wobble. When I got the 1100, I started to wobble at 80 and got worse as I wanted to ride faster. A guy at work told me to check my tire pressure, so I used my foot like on a car. Lol
Feels fine to me. Tire is hard no way the tire pressure. Brought it to the dealer crying my 1100 no faster than 500..😭 Aked me if I checked my tire pressure. I said yes, same as a car ... "Do you use a tire pressure gauge."
Of course not...
We did a viral and some stuff got lost in the sauce
I did notice that a bit on Roby's bike, but mine doesn't do it at all.

I tried one of the inflatable add-on cushions, one of the more expensive ones, and it helps some but just wasn't enough. Corbin is the move for sure.
i test drove a rebel 1100T dct today. very powerful and can see it would be a very fun bike to ride, but literally 5 minutes in, my butt started hurting and i'm wearing skiveez! at least on the 750x, i can go 45 minutes without my butt starting to hurt with skiveez on. incredibly uncomfortable! and you can't fit a helmet into the saddle bag. you can fit a helmet in the "frunk" on the 750x.

My biggest switch-up was the exhaust, I started with a Shorty GP which just sounded and looked cheap.
I think it would be great to compare to the Harley Low Rider ST
Probably a good comparison, I've only ridden a V-Rod and that was a pretty similar vibe overall. I'd reckon the Rebel is faster and definitely more comfortable in any configuration, that V-Rod seat was awful
Was really interested with the exhaust, however I live in Australia, Vance don't ship here apparently 🤬🤬

Yo ! I’m in WA as well and appreciate you guys taking the time for these videos. I just bought a ‘22 rebel 1100 DCT and my credit card is popping off for add-ons to this bike 😂
I do have some questions tho.
1) How tall are you guys? I’m 6’1” and I’m torn whether to get the Trex peg ext, or the Burly pegs?
2) Will the shorty exhaust burn my wife who wants to ride passenger? 😅
3) Have you seen the Trex headlight cover? I have one but unsure if it could interfere with your choices of the windshields ?
1) we are both 6-1, 6-2 and I definitely have switched sides on footing. The Burly MX pegs are the shit, and I'll be seeing if I can fit them to the BlackBird as well.
2) if you're talking about the GP Shorty style exhaust, that just puts out right off of the header pipe(like I was running in our first Rebel video), it should be able to be angled away from the rear footrest. But it looks and sounds really bad compared to either of these, you should consider the V&H if they ever put it back into production
3) I am aware of it, but haven't looked at it closely. If it fits tightly around the silhouette of the light, it shouldn't interfere, but I can't say for sure.
I have heard the stock tires wobble at high speeds. Replacing with Metzlers (sp?) solves the issue. True?
I've only seen a bit of wobble at like 85+, and it's inconsistent. We're both on stock tires still.
Burch did a test and found it to be bad aerodynamics from his phone mount, of all things, so idk 🤷

Anything heavier than this is just annoying to me, I'm interested in riding not sitting on a couch in a straight line
Hey just wondering if you turned your engine power up. And turn down your engine brake?

Any recommendations for heel toe shifter with floor boards?
I recommend sticking with the oem location mid-controls with the Burly MX pegs. That's my favorite control setup I've tried. These T-Rex floorboards are super adjustable and may get the position you want, but I honestly think they are overcomplicated with too many hardwares to come loose and not as comfortable.

Aye I have a 1100t on the extended foot pegs can you make the break even with the footrest? Do you keep the adjustability?
The footpeg extensions come with an extended brake pedal that's pretty adjustable
Did he have to extend anything with the risers???
No extensions at all at this height, I've seen up to 4" with only minor re-routing
Great vid. Lot of good info here.
Thanks man, anything you'd like to see in the next one?
Now that someone finally made a tune for the 1100 do you plan on getting that?
@@dragonbrandon1995 I might play with that eventually, but the Supra is taking all the money right now. We always have a lot of stuff going on, and the Rebel is pretty great and squared away as it is, so it might be a while
Good vid, Oz.
your bird looks good
Thanks, it's my dream bike
hey brother i see your prop tattoo on your right hand any chance you were in the navy?
also the one on your inner right forearm any chance you were a submariner?
Pit Snipes babyyy
Which version of The Suck did you partake in?
Nice riding Boots dude.
Sometimes it's steel-toes, sometimes it's the riding Crocs 🤷
Everyone has a different level of acceptable risk in any given context, and I don't pretend to be a role model. You know, because of the shenanigans
Great video man thank you!
I made it with love
@@redhenracing2 and im here again lol
Nice video
the rebels are not ugly, but they are not beautiful. i prefer the vtwins
Yeah, they're a different vibe altogether. I may try a paint-matched Batwing at some point, I think it would look better than the Gauntlet.
You like the Shadows?
@@redhenracing2 shadows are ok. but i think the harleys have more potential for customization. also, there are lots of aftermarket parts
I know it sounds cliche, but it's like putting lipstick on a pig. These things are butt-ugly and in dire need of a revision. The old 250 Rebels were underpowered, but at least they looked good. Maybe the 450 Rebel should have been reintroduced.
I don't think I see it, but not everything is for everybody 🤷
Do you like Cadillacs?
@@ghettoerikwitha_K only FWD El Dorados
I'm fairly certain you spent this money on parts to upgrade a bike - and to make money via TH-cam et al. Ha. This joke aside (truth in humor), nice video.
To date, this video has not even paid for my grips 🤣
I've been doing this shit my whole life, we just started the channel to see if our money spent can help save somebody else from making the same mistakes 🤷 If it entertains someone along the way and maybe one day turns a couple of dollars, thats cool, but we're still a long way from quitting our day jobs
@@redhenracing2 that's hilarious. This is an informative video so the LEAST youtube can do is cover the grips XD
Supercharger it hahaha. 😢
Now if I can spend $6,000 to muffle my wife 🤟😁🤟
I found the audio clipping annoying to watch the video.
If you have any experience with in-helmet stuff particularly I'd love to hear it
@@redhenracing2 In that case, maybe it's the wind messing with it at speed, and you just need to put a dead cat on that mic. It's worth a try before you shell out on an external recorder and a different mic.
