22 girl rider here. I get this bike in my hands tomorrow. I could not be more excited. Most people say to stay away from high powered bikes to start, but unused to ride dirt bikes and I can flat foot this thing no problem. Again so excited to get in this thing and ride.

This is interesting. I have never liked the idea of buttons and modes on a motorcycle to have to finagle and deal with and I've never had the chance to ride a bike with any of that. But this seems pretty simple and user friendly.

I live in Taiwan and I'm getting my hands on this bike in the mid-future. Im assuming it will be shipped with the display in Mandarin (makes sense for them to ship it set to the first-language of the country in question). Is there a way to change the language of the DCT display so I can see the display/mode information in English?

Probably not, if the TFT display has Chinese characters those cannot be replaced with English characters (TFT is like calculator or digital watch, characters are more or less baked in). Did you end up getting the bike?

@@Synthwave89thanks for the info! Yeah, it's gonna be a few more years of practice before I can read the characters at all. I ended up going for a second hand Yamaha Vstar 950 in the end. Suits my long legs and is so easy to ride

Hi, nice video. If you could help me, I'm having a problem with my fuel gauge on the display it keeps running up and down. Do you know what does it means? I thought it was an empty tank, but I refilled the fuel, but it is still same it's not blinking, but it is running up and down

Is there any way to start the bike if the battery dies since it doesn't have a clutch?

That is a great question. I would initially say no... but let me inquire with Honda!

So I hear that though it does share the African Twin's engine it doesn't share it's power is that true? I keep seeing that the Rebel's 1100cc has 86HP where as the African Twin 1100cc has 101HP. If it is true about the power difference, do you know what Honda changed to de-tune the Rebel's engine? Thanks upfront.

The Rebel is limited to 100mph electronically there is only one disk on the front, the AT does 135 but has twin disks to stop it and a six axis EMU which prevents gear changes when cornering plus other sensors, the Rebel is de tuned to make it more of a cruiser style bike and built to a price hence the passenger seat being missing in some countries but if you open the throttle in sport mode it will do 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds and that is street bike territory so do not think it is just an automatic " bobber " I have had mine for six months and it still puts a massive smile on the face when leaving cars standing at lights.

@@williamcoulter5462 do you have DCT as well? Also do you think putting 1 tooth bigger front sprocket could help with better top speed?

@@williamcoulter5462 The 1100 isn't limited in the UK. So you can run it to the throttle stop.
