Nah, my pediatrician is just like her💖medicines ONLY when absolutely necessary. Vaccines yes. And recommending good diets (icecream and stuff like that, my pediatrician is cool with but it’s in moderation, which I Highly agree) They even recommend sunscreen, which I’m grateful for because little one should develops the habit of it, plus now it’s not just me telling my littles to wear it, it’s their pediatrician. (I put sunscreen on them regardless)

Personal experience here...can confirm that doctors would rather have you take unnecessary medications than actually give AF about natural cures or the cause of your infliction. I have been put on antibiotics numerous times when I didnt even have an infection...simply because doctors didnt want to/have the time to figure out what was actually wrong (it took me 3 ENTs alone, $1000s, and 4 rounds of antibiotics to figure out it was an irritated nerve in my face, not a sinus infection). While I love the world you live in Dr, its not the reality the majority of us face. Western medicine feels more and more like a cash grabby scam every day.

I'm a pretty crunchy mom... I like to think of it as tapping into western medicine when it's actually needed instead of every little thing. there's plenty of ways to support the body naturally. Western medicine is great for emergencies...like I'm not going to put a salve on a broken arm....I'm going to go to a Dr and have it set. Just like I'm also not going to go to a Dr to treat high cholesterol with a statin or a pharmaceutical drug to just mask the symptom instead of treating root cause. ... Better darn well be looking at diet and lifestyle before just taking a pill. Extreme perspectives will be the demise ... Moderation is the key to life. It's important to work with medical professionals on both sides of the equation here .... And neither should take offense to either being a part of my healthcare. If they do, find another dr. I was sick of getting looked down on or treated poorly by regular Drs. But everything changed when I actually started working with a naturopath and not just learning online on my own. I also found a great family Dr that works with my naturopath. And they both work for me and my long term health. Now the overwhelming response from all the Drs in western medicine that I see tell me that they admire the route I'm taking and wish they had more patients like me. I'm grateful to have guidance on both sides...and not be being pushed to judge or abandon the other ones practice...they are a team!

I think what you’re doing is great! But there is a common misunderstanding that modern medicine simply covers up symptoms and doesn’t get to the root cause. If a patient has high cholesterol, diet and lifestyle modification are the first things Western doctors recommend. They only prescribe meds if that doesn’t work. Again, I admire that you are taking your own health seriously and doing what works best for you, but I need to clarify these misunderstandings

@@LDogSmiles I can appreciate what you're saying. But I wouldn't describe what you just said as root cause from Western medicine. Root cause would be going deeper to find out why the changes aren't helping. it's not normal for the diet and lifestyle not to work.... If it's not working, the answer isn't a med but more questions. So many times it's infectious organisms, molds, toxicities etc are the real cause of so many ailments. But as soon as the meds are introduced the symptom appears better and then it's a game of medication management. So I wouldn't say this is a myth as much as it's just the overwhelming experience within Western medicine.

You sound really defensive. But you probably won’t see my comment.
