Hi Graham I have followed your instructions for programming my fcb1010 to my modx8+ however even after resetting the unit it still will not control the scenes. I go into the live set performance and press the pedal to switch it and it simply takes me back to the first performance under the piano in category search. I’m not understanding why it takes me out of the selected live performance to my understanding it’s supposed to switch the scenes, correct? From what I can see the scenes do switch with the pedal changes however it’s not changing scenes but performances if I hit pedal 1 it takes me to the start under the piano category search. Any ideas how this could be corrected let me know. Thank you for the fabulous video!!

@@shannonnorthman2342 Hi, it sounds like you’re also sending out Program Changes (they send messages to change patches/sounds). The FCB1010 generally defaults to sending out PC1 which will select the first patch on the MODX which is the first patch in the Piano category. When you’re in programming mode for each footswitch, make sure that you only have the lights lit up on 6, 8 and 9 as per my example. If lights are lit up on any other foot switches, hold them down till the light goes out. I suspect you’ll find you’ve got a light lit up on button 1 which is for Program change 1. Hope that helps (PS if you’re able to attach the fcb1010 to a computer, I’d recommend using the free software editors as it’s much easier to see what you’re programming - see my other videos 🙂). Cheers

Hello. I have a FCB 1010 that's not going to the PRESETS mode, where it show the double zeros 0 0. Whatever I do, I just can take it there to that point. Could you help me with that, please? I bought it used, and it seems to be reseted...

Sorry not sure if I fully understand. When you turn it on it should show double zero at the top and no other lights should be on anywhere on the board. If you then press the first preset (button 1) that should light up and the 2 small lights above the pedals should light up. To program a preset, turn it on, press preset 1, hold down the ‘DOWN’ button for a few seconds and the ‘double zero ‘ will disappear with the green light flashing just under the word ‘preset’. Then press the ‘UP’ button green light should move across to ‘select’ - from there you can start programming what you want preset 1 to do as per instructions in my series of videos. Hope that helps 🙂

PS in addition to my previous reply, you could always also try a factory reset if things don’t seem to be working right. Hold down buttons 1 and 6 and keep them held down for a few seconds as you switch the unit on. There will be a short countdown from 09 to 00 and the decimal points will also flash. When the decimal points stop flashing and the display just reads 00 then it is all reset.

@@splootyvision I've tried many times, but when I turn it on again, holding the 1 and 6 pedal, it goes vest me other letters. It never resets. Is there another way to reset it?

@@andersonformaggini You might have an upgraded eprom or uno chip inside it. You could try 1 and 9 I believe in that case.

@@andersonformaggini As well as trying 1 and 9 for the reset, maybe a long shot here but do you have a midi cable attached when turning it on. I’ve seen reports of this causing an issue with the solution being to turn the unit on with no midi attached and then attach the midi cable once it has booted up.

I have a Yamaha MOX6, do you have a manual or tutorial how to assign the midi signals into the MOX6. Thanks for your videos, I have the fcb1010 configured.

Apologies, I don't (actually used to have an MOX6 but recently sold it 😫 for the MODX). If you go to the support section on the yamaha website all the data list and parameter manuals are there where you should be able to find the information. Tbh most of the CC values should be the same e.g. 74 for cutoff, 71 for resonance etc

@@splootyvision I did it, thanks for the guidelines, I just set the cc values to match the mox6 factory inputs and is working beautifully! Appreciated your videos!
