Hi Dr. Ekberg, I hope this time you have time to see this question (not related to the subject). I insist on anaerobic exercise because I love tennis and won't stop playing it. However, I have noticed that it doesn't combine too well with OMAD keto, I get really tired during the exercise and feel lousy afterwards (normally need to sleep a bit to recover). Fortunately no cravings. But my question is: How can I optimise my performance in tennis considering OMAD? I am willing to adjust the meals during or before the tennis days, but I would like to hear your expert opinion on this. I have watched dozens of your videos but didn't see an answer to this yet.
I play tennis usually in the morning, on an 18-20 hour fast since my OMAD is during lunchtime.

My PCP was alarmed when I started this diet in May this year because of my history of high cholesterol and a family history of heart disease. She insisted that I come back for a blood test 2 days ago. They called yesterday only a day after the test and I assumed the worst since lab tests would normally take at least a week for the results. The nurse was almost as excited as I was when she said my bad cholesterol has dropped, my very low good cholesterol has increased so that the ratio between them is now normal! All by only changing to this diet - the doctor said whatever I was doing to keep going with it! Thank-you Dr. Ekberg!!

April 11th I was diagnosed with diabetes at 12.6 A1C. In 2020 i weighed 239 lbs and at the hospital on 4/11 I weighed 209. My 4 basic rules to my diet are NO 1)Sugar, 2)Steaks (fatty red meat), 3) fast food, 4) fried food. I eat salmon twice a week, a shrimp or scallop dinner once a week (sometimes with a sugar free sauce), LOTS of chicken dishes and LOTS of veggies. In addition, I take a raw tablespoon of extra virgin olive oil daily in the morning, a glass of apple cider vinegar with water before dinner and a cup of hibiscus tea with cinnamon around 9pm. Also, i incorporated a lot of garlic into my diet. On August 1, my A1C was down to 5.6 and I now weigh 188 lbs. i am off one of my diabetes medications to see how i react and will have my next A1C next February

This is quite frankly the best channel on You Tube. What he says WORKS! I'm down to 254 pounds from a high of 297. I'm 6'3" to put that into context. Body fat percentage is down from 27% to 19.5% with 3 years taken off my metabolic age. Meanwhile skeletal muscle & bone density are both up. My blood pressure which used to be obscenity high at 175/115 is now a spot on 120/80 and even lower when I'm relaxed. Dr. E. is a real & true asset to mankind.

All of the foods we've been told for decades are safe and recommended for good health are absolutely killing us all slowly. I've spent one month following your guidance as well as a couple others and I feel like I'm back in my twenties. Amazing what a minor change in diet and completely eliminating sugars did for my body.

I am not Diabetic, but I adhere to low glucose eating on my Keto diet. I check ingredients on nutrition labels ALL THE TIME. Things that are marketed as Keto still contain ingredients that can spike blood sugar. I don't understand how or why anyone would consume such things. If your insulin spikes then you get kicked out of Ketosis. It's best to stick to clean Keto and watch very carefully for any ingredients in Keto products.

To all you type 2 diabetics. Do what this Dr. says. Pretty soon there will be no more foam (sugar) in your urine. You will actually feel like exercising and you will become more and more alert and less groggy/sleepy everyday. You will urinate 1/2 as much and not be thirsty all the time. 18-6. No carbs, high fat (like macadamia nuts) and eliminate sugar completely. Its actually easy once you start and becomes easier all the time.

So good to have such an indepth explanation of diabetes, I didn't know the liver was involved. I have avoided the terrible affliction by eating small portions of what I eat which is just about all foods. I don't drink hardly at all cause I feel drunk with one sip lol. I do smoke pot to calm my nerves. I do tend to gravitate towards sugar when hungry but have done well with that also. I'm 52, and when I was 8, I saw my aunt put her needle in her leg with such force, it traumatized me. She then said we would have to do it when we got older, but I responded with a oh not me attitude and ran outside to walk, and that along with the aforementioned, has kept me free of the needle! Thank you for the info!
