From personal experience the biggest help to maintain your wellbeing relating to glucose levels is to be in the moment, take active control and ownership and that is 80% of your battle. The rest is being mindful of what you eat, when you eat it and balanced with mild exercise. Very quickly you will see results and your anxiety will reduce.

I became type 2 diabetic in 2021. I refused meds and said I would change my diet and that's what I did. I reversed it 4 months later. I lost a lot of weight quickly. I only eat food I make myself. At the beginning my body and brain were in a battle but I stuck rigid to it and eventually my body and brain clicked into sync. My body now looks amazing and I feel fantastic. The only treat I eat daily is a homemade flapjack and I make a batch of one week's worth. Weirdly my eyesight has improved, but here is the kicker. This is a lifelong dietary change, it's not something I can dip in and out of and it takes discipline. I don't crave sugar anymore, but I feel like a 25 year old in a body that now only looks like the body of a 25-30 year old in peak physical form and I'm 59. I keep a photo of myself on the fridge to remind myself how I used to look. It's a great motivator to keep on track. Exercise wise, I walk just 20 minutes a day at a fast enough pace to get my heart rate up. Now I do intermittent fasting and don't have breakfast until mid morning and don't eat after 8pm. All I can say is it's like I have shed the body of an old avatar and I am in a new fresh body full of energy. It's like I have been reborn.

I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2021 but refused medication. Instead, I completely changed my diet and reversed it in just 4 months. I lost weight, cook all my meals, and stick to a disciplined routine. Now, I feel amazing, my body looks great, and I no longer crave sugar. At 59, I feel like I’m 25 again. I walk 20 minutes daily, practice intermittent fasting, and keep a photo of my old self on the fridge as motivation. It's a lifelong commitment, but the results are worth it!

I was diagnosed as a type 2 so I worked hard to make it go away. I did a clinical trail on a Lantus 100 a stronger long term insulin that you use less. During this trail I found out I'm type 1 or could be type 3. I became a diabetic at 39 yrs old I was around 45 during the trail, I'm 75 yrs old now. I liked the Lantus 100 but I haven't seen it anywhere or heard about it since.

Good for you, enjoyed your video, I have been a type 1 Diabetes for 66 years. To encourage folk, I have had a very interesting and diverse life, had two children, and a strong career. I was Mayor and Chair of my City region, and earlier worked as a Probation Officer for many years. I have travelled quite a lot, and love meeting new cultures and seeing the architecture and art. I cycle a Trike, as my balance is not the best, but I love cycling, and keeping mobile. Take heart all you you guys, just live moderately, eating nothing in excess, and cut direct sugar out of your diet. I happen to love avocado too, so that’s a bonus. Be sensible about your Diabetes, be careful of any wounds that might occur, have very good hygiene, and cleanse wounds carefully. But enjoy life, grab it fully! Ciao

Dietitian here-Great video and content. As you said, eating fruit after a meal helps reduce the glucose spike from fruit. But also, any fruit balanced with protein or fat helps reduce blood sugar spike as well. With regard to bananas, greenish bananas have resistant starch and prebiotic fiber so the sugars are absorbed more slowly. Also, exercising after, or simply doing chores after help lower the glucose spike as well. Side note-having a tablespoon of vinegar before eating fruit helps decrease blood sugar. Or if you’re having a meal high in carbs, you can incorporate vinegar into a salad dressing or some other component of the meal. Additionally, eating the vegetables and protein before the carbs help as well. Best of success to you all!!

for a medium sized one) but
high in fiber, nutrients & essential fatty acids which
can help you LOSE weight in
      the long run. Many people
      do not eat ENOUGH healthy
fats & therefore HOLD ON to

The rinds, peels, pith of fruits such as Watermelon, Orange, Mandarin, Pomegranate, Bananas, Dragon Fruit contain much of the same vitamins, minerals and antioxidants as the fruit that they wrap. So if you finely chop these peels in thin slices, dehydrate them at 200F for about 180 minutes, when they are dry blend them into a fine powder using a blender, you can keep these peels or rinds on a sealed glass jar or tin and add them to your smoothies when you make smoothies which use fruit from what you put in the red bowl. If you use a sweetener for your coffee such as Monk Fruit or stevia, you can also add a teaspoon of this powered peel into your coffee and blend it. This will not only reduce your insulin response to the sweet taste, it will increase the vitamin and antioxidant content of your beverage.

@@naomiAcronym the pith is part of the skin of the fruit. On citrus fruit such as a orange or a lemon or a lime, the zest is the part with the color (orange, yellow, green) the pith is the white part as well as the white part that holds the sections together. Not to be confused with "pit" such as the stone or seed of the a peach or avocado in the center.
For the stone or seeds of the fruit, it's best to look up if they are edible first as some plants discourage people from eating them by putting anti-nutrients in them. One example, the seed of the apple contains a bit of arsenic in it.

Yeah, give him a Nobel Prize ))) The only caveat is fruits are full of fructose (especially modern modified fruits loaded with sugar), and fructose does not cause any blood glucose spikes at all, it has no glycemic load. But what it does, it contributes towards fatty liver disease, damages mitochondria and lowers insulin sensitivity, which is really bad for a diabetic. So the only correct answer for a diabetic is NO FRUITS, eat vegetables instead. All the rest is like discussing which sort of beer should an alcoholic drink.

Hi Tom, I have an idea for another video using these exact same fruits, but first, I want to thank you for this one and tell you how much I appreciate the effort and the information. It must have taken several days to work through that many fruits. Really excellent.
Anyway, the idea for another video. Did you see the study conducted by researchers in Japan where they had participants first drink a glass of water with one or two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar stirred into the water, and then they performed tests like you just did. But instead of fruits they did it with rice and other high carb foods that are common to the Japanese diet. The result was by simply drinking a glass of water with a tablespoon of the vinegar before eating the food, the sugar response dropped by 25% or more.
What if you did this fruit test all over again, but before eating it you drank a glass of water with a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar?
What if the net result was to move fruits in the “yellow” bowl into green, or from “red” to “yellow.”
Or what if it has no effect, or what if it affects some fruits but not others?
I think it would be fascinating - especially if it works. It could become a kind of secret weapon for diabetes eating.
But that’s again for this video. It’s going to help my life.

Around 8pm I ate 3 deep fried chicken legs (yes I know but I'm a southern guy lol) Now I've been struggling with high sugar levels in the morning (200-300 & for me I function better at 130-140). But this morning (after I went outside and got my daily dose of direct sunlight -sun gazing- 10 minutes) I checked my sugar and it was 151! Yesterday morning it was 267! Recently tested for diabetes thinking I might be pre diabetic but had significantly higher A1C than I thought so now I'm doing research to come up with a game plan. Your information is great and very well broken down, I haven't followed somebody as fast as I subscribed to you in my time on social media. Not sure how often you read comments but hope this finds you well and you have a great year while we control our sugars 🤙🍻

Thank you for this detailed presentation.I am not a doctor but i have known great success in comsuming a plant based diet which includes seeds, sparing nuts, organic vegetables, fruits and grains. Walking for I hour each morning. Comsuming pure rain water not with meals, going to bed by 9 pm or 10 pm. Having faith in God this deals with our guilt, fears and other mental issues that will cause stress and regret that wears out ones mental adjustmment state. If your are diabetic focus on your savory fruits eg string bean, okra, cho cho, bitter melon, pumpkin, use sparing amount of fresh coconut milk instead of oil. Cooking with oil can be danaging. Have carbs that dont spke the blood sugars. Thus food combination is key dont mix fruits with vegetables, dont eat and drink, keep liquid foods to a minimum unless occassionally with your irsh moss, spurlina, cholerella and avocado super food mix .and no comsumption of vinegars that mess with your gut issues. That could be you next research does vinegar damages my gut issues, do you see what it does when cleanimg. It completely amazing how it cleans a staimed /dirty tile. Exercise and strech outdoors, open yoiur home to air and sunshine. Bake your grains at low heat for 2 1/2 hpurs before use. Mango leaf and bay leaf tea and other teas will help with diabetes and other issues that are present. Let me know if these tips help you remember to be exercise moderation.

Hi, love your video. It is very helpful to organize my diabetes 2 diet plan.
I come from Mediteran part of EU so we have a lot of fresh figs, one of my favorite fruit.
I know there is a lot of suger in it but some people say do not even think about it to OK is to take few. When I eat it I take 2 to 3 little yellow small ones (The kind that is ripe in August). I do not like those bigger greenish-purple that are ripe in June-July.
So, The question is what about fresh figs?

It's not about eating. It's about NOT eating. If you want good health: Fast! If you want to save money:Fast! If you want to really feel great: Fast! If you want to feel emotionally well:Fast. Start out slowly and increase your fasting time over the first month. You will notice how easy it is to get longer periods and the benefits will immediately be noticeable. Be humble,Be kind, Be forgiving, Be yourself! You are wonderfully made ! Peace!

Remark September 1st from an international investigative researcher living in the United states. By accident and by the grace of God I found this video today when I was researching The boar's Head situation with contaminated meat.😅 I am not a diabetic and hope to pursue an eventual doctorate in naturopathic medicine and nutrition. But my family history had a history of diabetes 2 because of all of the cars they ate for years of which I would not have recognized it until I started my medical studies. And because I have studied keto and so many other facets of nutrition I have excluded the glycemic index because I haven't eaten sugar for years I use stevia and yet I should have been looking at the glycemic index. Keto teaches some of what you're talking about in your presentation is excellent especially with your testing. You mirror exactly what keto teaches about the different fruits and the different doctors that are naturopathic but I have noticed recently and I mean within the last year that I have cravings for fruits especially a bananas which are not helping my overall health which is excellent. I take no prescription medication and I work out everyday but my point is that recently when I have seen at the Kroger's a bag of peaches that maybe has eight of them put on mywindow seal I will end up eating them all in one day without considering the glycemic index. This is stretched to peaches etc and the other high glycemic ones you mentioned so you have done me a big favor by bringing this to my attention. I will never get diabetes because about 10 years ago I changed my whole way of life and what I ate but recently because of the stress of this listeria outbreak and my research and the nonsense the Kroger store gave me when I met with them yesterday about what was included and when they can pull this from their shelves was just political. About a month ago when the outbreak first happened I had actually eaten two Forest head uncured hot dogs and I buy exclusively and have been buying exclusively boar's Head hummus etcetera. So in the past 2 months I have visited Kroger's 25 times at each occurrence buying a boy said item especially those on sale that wereon sale but what people don't realize is that Forest has not corrected their problems from the past outbreak and they're still using the same USDA label number for the current one to give refunds. The problem also is that in that facility from all the research I've done yesterday and today they didn't clean up everything and even though the cutting instruments may have been cleared as well as the Kroger instruments if you're opening a new bag of a meat to be cut into sliced deli meat you are still exposing your people and your equipment to listeria possibility. The code number that they're using for recalls is the old is the old call number not a new one because the report from boar's Head went up until July 31st and there is no new report been listed with a new code number that's my problem.and anybody I would have canceled with what to buy and how to shop at Kroger's would have been taken by me to Boris it because I thought it was the best quality because it didn't have all of the other junk in it like other lunch meats. Well I would have been wrong and I've never done that. I'm passing this along to you so you don't buy or use any boar's Head products because the hummus that I just love is made at the same facility as the meat so if their equipment is clean what about the equipment used to make the hummus from that same facility. I've researched for 2 hours yesterday this whole issue for my article and again I'm upset because it was in my refrigerator and there is no refund. Kroger's told me yesterday when I met with the main manager at great insistence on my part that the only way right now at this moment in time if I call their Kroger 800 number that they can tell if I bought somethingthere is one code number that they're giving out but that was the code number provided by the USDA that was for the previous outbreak not for the current one that has been happening in the last couple of weeks Kroger's told me that they got rid of all of the bad selections from the previous code but that is not solving the same problem because it's the same batch number which is not the batch number that they should be using for produce being produced now. They told me when I call the Kroger 800 number that I can give them my Kroger card number and they can check to see if the USDA contamination label that was for the previous one which I already have would be on any current ones they would refund me. All I know is that I buy everything uncured in that in the past 2 months I have bought uncured bacon which I don't believe is on the list but you never know because it was provided from that facility I'm telling you as a friend to warn warn you.

If it comes out of the ground as root vegetables don't eat. Corn and peas are full of starch and sugar. Don't eat. Lettuce, cabbage, brussel sprouts, cauliflower and broccoli are good. Don't eat white potatoes. Sweet potato is fair and preferably eat the skin for minerals and fibre as well. Hope this helps you.

Thank you for the feedback. I have a few other videos on my channel that address this point. Generally, the glycemic load is derived from the net carb number. The more net carbs the higher GL. Also, from my experience adding protein and fat lowers the GI. Hope this makes sense.

One of the most knowledgeable information I have ever read. Thank you so much for that. I actually took the photo shop so when I go to the grocery store, I will know what fruits to eat and watch fruits not to eat. You don’t have to be a diabetic too long I lose weight and getting rid of sugar is one of the quickest ways to get rid of weight. Thank you so much great video.
