  • Installing a K&N Fuel Filter on Lawn Equipment.
Did not know that the filter was larger than the 1/4" size on the lawn equipment until the unit arrived.
Had to make modifications in order to get the filter to fit.

So I just installed this same filter on my tractor and that metal retainer disc came loose inside the filter and now is just spinning up and down the shaft with engine vibration and the red screen is also sliding up and down the shaft. So now I have to take the dam thing apart and tighten that metal disc down and drain my fuel system. What a pain in my ass. I might use some type of loctite that’s fuel safe

      Thank you for your comment.
I am happy to be honest and say I did not notice any loss of power as the filter is on the low pressure side, the pump does not starve the carburetor, and I have noticed no difference.
Again, I would be happy to admit to issues if I had any.

Thanks so much for this video! Do you happen to know how many psi this fuel filter can withstand?

No but, the filter is on the draw side which is the low pressure side of the pump.

@@A_Renaissance_Man ok thanks for that. I was thinking of using this as an in line filter for a low pressure function at my car wash - needs to have a working capacity of 75 psi

Thanks for this guys! I found a power washer specific in-line filter that I will try as my system will definitely exceed 50 psi.

DOES THIS WORK FOR HONDA XR200??

Thank you for asking. If the filter is downstream of the pump and the system currently has a filter, then this should work without a hitch.

@@A_Renaissance_Man I heard it will hamper the power by a notch for the fuel pumping slower than usual.
