I know you said you don't need 4K for vlogging, but that video looked awesome. Coming from a photographer, the contrast was nice everything was sharp and the colors looked good. As long as it holds up in the rain I think you have a winner!

Didn’t know that DJI is already coming up with a Action4. For me my Action3 was already the GoPro Killer. With a bigger sensor now the Action4 definitely is. 👍 In one year of daily use I had not even one issue with it. It never let me down!
Really hope they fix the issue of the external mic not being recognized for 5-12 seconds apon recording, very frustrating! I'll be updating my review video for sure!
I know you mentioned at the end that you will be working with the audio gain settings, but the sound is clipped/distorted for most of the video. Be curious to see(hear) if it's any better after you've had a chance to work with the settings. Video quality was fantastic!

It seems DJI had the answer to your concerns. I really appreciate you letting us all in on it. I know about their drones, but I never thought about their cameras.
Check out the GoPro 11 if you like the action 4. I do all kinds of testing on action cams in so many situations and although the action 4 is a nice camera it’s not much of an upgrade from the action 3 if you already own one.
To help stop the audio peaking you are getting you can get a volume wire that lets u add into your set up and knock down the input volume a click or two. This is a cheap option. Another option for the action 4 is use the dji mic set up and turn the gain down. This is the more complicated and expensive way though. The GoPro 11 is the same price now. Ps. I agree about the media mod not having its own feet so you can remove the camera. There is an aftermarket company that sells a magnetic conversion kit for the GoPro for cheap.
While you are talking while riding there’s a little static, or maybe it’s wind noise. Other than that it looks like an awesome camera. Do they offer an unlimited cloud to store videos? I suck at editing on my GoPro. Is it better with this camera?

Nice, Jess. Picture and audio are great. It is a little strange you can't screw on the filters. Does it come with a polarizer? It can be a nice to have on especially bright days and, in certain circumstances you can dial in or out reflections, like when you are looking through a window or display case and you don't want to see your reflection (especially not with you holding the camera awkwardly. Best wishes with it going forwards.
I can say that I am impressed with that camera, great video and info as usual. I have several DJI products and am a big fan for sure and I can definitely relate to all the issue you spoke of from my own channel experiences. As others have indicated, I would like to see the complete setup with adapter and mic since there may be some changes needed from my GP setup. Ride safe and look forward to the follow up.

I don't think the ND filters come with it. They are like a $59.00 accessory. If you get the Adventure Combo the batteries and case come with it. The selfie stick will come with this also. That is $499.00. I'd say the editing is the same. The camera is well worth the money and I would recommend the Adventure Combo. I don't have the 4 but I do have the original one and the three. I am getting ready to order the 4 now.

After her video, I have been committed to helping GoPro and other Creators by telling all with problems about the DJI cameras. Apparently, GoPro has had the same problems since their first camera and never tried to fix them. Hey, love your channel. I’m hoping u can help me with a vibration issue when mounting to the handlebars. I’m on a 23 fatboy. It’s got a cam and exhaust and is a little lumpier than standard. This is causing vibration. I’ve tried different fps and shutter combos, spent hours testing and reviewing footage. Spent way too long trying to find the answer on way too many TH-cam videos. Everyone who talks about bikes show how they are mounted rather than discussing stabilization and best settings for that. So far I’m finding that shutter of 200 - 400 plus is helping. Do u mind if I ask you what settings you run at? Do u use a range limit in ISO and shutter or a set the fps to 25 or higher. There are so many variables it’s doing my head in!!! What do u set yours on to eliminate bike vibration?
I opted for osmo action for my first camera over gopro because it was cheaper and ive never been disappointed. Didnt know they had a 4 now. Great stuff!
We also liked the "perspective" the chest strap gives you. Just kidding! Sorry, I'll be good, I pomise!!! Seriously though, I'm glad you found a camera that works. The colors look great, very high quality. Def looking forward to you not cutting out in the middle of the ride. Lol! Sound is great too, I could hear you loud and clear no matter what was going on the background. I still think the Insta-360 that Fortnine uses might be a better choice though. The multiple angles means you can go from looking out front to looking at yourself all with one camera. Just my two cents. Have fun with whatever you decide to use. Ride safe!

Hey Jess! Sounds to me like you have a winner in the DJI! The only issue I had was your voice was blowing out the mic just a bit. I have the Action 4 camera and the Purple Panda mic, but even with the adapter and adjusting the gain, the audio quality remains subpar. I've also set the sound to mono using a TRS connection. I'm curious about the microphone you're using; perhaps there's a solution I haven't tried yet.
I am still using my GoPro 3, and it has not died yet, so when it does, I may need to upgrade. I do not upgrade anything, until it breaks, then I get a better version of the item that broke. Has DJI hooked you up with a drone yet? Take care Jess, ride safe.
I am looking at purchasing this also. With that, have you tried to film with an nd filter at 4k-24/30 frames at 1/50-60? It may ad a blur motion on your sides as you ride. Just a thought and maybe you'd like it :)

The pack only comes with 3 lenses, so I don't think there's a polarizer (yet)

Been using an osmo action 1 for over two years for everything off the bike. The FOV was smaller than GoPro until this new one. Hope you like it

The video and audio were exceptional! FWIW, I wouldn't mind seeing a motovlog shot in 120FPS, but I understand the desire to shoot in 60FPS
The more fps the bigger the files, and the difference isn't that big to be honest.

Does it overheat, I had the older model and had to return it because it overheated so fast?
