Amongst all this negativity and xenophobia at best, my experience is that it’s by far the best motovlogging set up, I use an Action 4 on a chin mount with an Action 3 on the bars. I dropped GoPro a long time ago as they have lost the plot regarding reliability.
I'm owning DJI Osmo Action 4 since October last year (2023), and I really love it's video quality and easy to use, and post-video editing. Btw, thank you for your professional video review on DJI Osmo Actiono 4. Can't wait to see what's next with DJI Osmo Action 5 this year
Great video!! I"m still working through my setup but I do love having this camera for my channel. The GPS and app export leaves something to be desired but the camera itself is excellent!!
I don‘t really get why there is so much negativ feedback. Imho one of the best reviews of the Action 4. I got this cam for some weeks now and can confirm most of this points. Just missing a comment on the DJI remote. Thank you an keep on 👍🏼
Even with the new one being out and it's additional features , I still opted for this for my motovlogs, the new pro feels rushed with it needing constant updates to answer the community's concerns.
Thank you for the camera test. I need to turn on and disable recording using an external switch when driving a motorcycle. To save the battery and be able to record as much as possible, I need the camera to turn off and consume minimal amounts of electricity in this state. It is a pity that you have not reviewed, because you are not probably using, DJI Osmo Action Remote Controller.
@@HansenBrown My guess is that DJI asked motobob to make this video now that they sponsor the channel in order to help them shift existing Action 4 stock.
Is there a remote that can control (+ turn off/on) multiple cameras? Does the DJI wireless mic connect automatically after the camera is turned on? If the camera is not connected to the DJI Mic, how long will the battery of the DJI mic last? Background: I want to have 2-3 cameras and 2 DJI mics on my motorcycle. Then I want to record snippets over the day - say 10 hours. Ideally I have a remote control that turns the setup on and starts recording, and when I'm done with my snipped, I'll turn the whole setup off via remote. All while riding. If the DJI mic can't be turned off, it needs battery life that lasts over the day. Perfect camera? None of them.... really. They improve in areas that don't matter. Image quality is good enough for years already.
Love my Osmo Action 4, HOWEVER I just encountered a massive negative point of its magnetic clip (which I like, not love btw). I’m on a bike trip through Europe and my helmet got stolen from my topbox in Barcelona - and with it, the magnetic clip for my Action 4. As this clip doesn’t seem to be available in any major electronics store on my way, the Action 4 has been rendered useless…that’s even worse than my old unreliable GoPro8 tbh…😖
Waiting on this Fall GoPro but all about the AI for 2024 as imaging and editing levels up into "true cinematic" as opposed to just camera work not that camera work is bad of course we just don't use film anymore kind of thing quite suddenly
Unfortunately it doesn't play nicely with 3.5mm external mics for capturing engine sounds, it gets noise cancelled and sounds like bubbles, still an issue on the DJI forums last I checked. I do like the camera though, the image stabilisation is impressive, just a pity I can't use a mic mounted out of the wind nearer the exhaust.
I gave up on GoPro after it failed to record an important ride. Went with an Osmo Action 4 instead and all around it feels like an upgrade. However, within a couple weeks of first use I encountered my first corrupted video. Seems it’s difficult for companies to make a reliable action camera.
motorcycling and indeed all product journalism has become so cheap and awful, its basically marketing and ads, very little content, very little truth... everything is great, everything is nice, we say only good things so the companies wont stop paying us.... its pay 2 win useless BS

Great camera been using as my first one with the battery case, love the wide fov, just battery power slight let down but i'm learning to cope with that, around Germany for 11 days later this month so will see how that goes! 👍👍

Awesome action camera Wonderful presentation Thank you for sharing
Hello my dear friend, Thank you so much for sharing the great video. Have a good day

Which chin mount do you use on your helmet?
Nice review Bob. I liked it , and I just bought an Osmo 4 to use solely as a dash cam for my moto rides.

Can this camera still not sync directly with a Cardo?

Fantastic Video!! I just got my Action 4 and was wondering to you have a video on settings for moto vlogging, tips and tricks for motovlogging?
Can anyone tell me who makes that awesome ceiling lighting? I need it!!!
Thanks!
I have been using the bluetooth mic as my main microphone so far while on the bike. See no issues with it.
Can I pair directly to my Cardo? 🤔
no... this camera is pointless for motorcyclists, unless you are a beginner. I am leaning towards the ace pro

I bought a pack of cheap magnets off Amazon that work just fine compared to the magnet that came with the clip. Are you talking for the DJI MIC 2?
Plenty barely used available.
That says people bought them for the wrong reasons.
Good luck out there.
Should this not include paid promotion?

Most electronic equipment is sourced from China, you need to get out more on you’re bike, if you have one🙄

The gopro image quality looks sharper and more stable. Osmo looks blurry.
