Thank for this video Jordan, you talk at a nice pace without being fast. I have watched quite a few reviews of the Action 4 camera and they’re mostly American people and found they talk way too fast. I recently bought this camera for POV Surfing and have had the battery die without realising during my surfs as I was recording in 4k then the same thing happened in 2.4k. Someone recommended to me to record in 1080p to get more battery life in which I am yet to try. Hopefully this will help me get more footage of me surfing.

Thanks for the informative video Jordan. My GoPro is getting a little old now and I was looking at buying a newer one as a replacement. However I think my best course of action would probably be to go with the DJI Osmo Action 4. I already have the DJI Mimo App that I use with the Mobile 6 gimbal for my phone and the DJI Wireless Mic system which I believe will work with the Action 4. I'm beginning to think DJI just want all my money! 😂

Hey Jordan, Having some issues when shooting wedding Ceremonys. The footage looks Very high contrast. Right now I'm shooting on Rock steady Res. 2.7 k @60 . It seemed when I took off the low light in any situation it looked better. What can I do, have a wedding tomorrow. Thanks for your help!
Thanks heaps Jordan. My DJI Osmo Action 4 arrived today and as a newbie, this video made it so easy to set up and to find my way around this camera. It would have been so much harder to have accomplished with the few brief pointers DJI offer in their little paper fold-out. And though you’re Kindle guide to this new camera on Amazon won’t be available for another 3 whole months (November 15th), I’ll buy it if for some reason I haven’t got to know my DJI OA4 by then. I need this cam.. I've been using a combo of The osmo 1 + Sony ZV1 cause the osmo 1 sound and some shots aren't the best but now... WOW! This could make it way easier for me.
I looked at many videos about the Action 4 and THIS is the one I needed! Thanks! Only thing I'm not clear on: Do I have to format the SD card before recording the first video (or photo)? Or format it afterward? Is it easy to find the formatting option on the settings screen? I had a cheap dash cam once and never got it to work, I think because I couldn't get the card formatted properly.
Amazing review. One concern I have is around mounting. How secure is it with the quick adaptor...if you are mountain biking or it hits into something, how likely is it to fall off?
A very good tutorial. I just upgraded to action 4. I'll be using mine for kayak bass fishing. I'm also going to have an extra power source for all day recording. do I still need the main battery pack or can I run it off the external power source.? Also which setting would be used for all day recording . I also ordered the remote for the DJI 3 and 4.

You're welcome! DJI added a higher bitrate option with a firmware update on the 5, so if you are deciding between the two, the 5 is a better option. Yes definitely check out the book. I think you will find it really helpful 👍 Enjoy whichever camera you end up with!

About that magnetic mount. Will it only come out if you press both lateral buttons or it may fall with impact? I’m truly worried I will love another action camera while kiteboarding..
Your plastic mount will break before the magnetic mount comes off. I've already tried it unintentionally 😂. Just make sure that both sides are locked and nothing will come off.

Is that normal, as I read other reviews that these don’t heat up. It was a primary reason I bought it, or perhaps I confused getting warm with reduction in battery life. Could the warmth of the device be due to my video settings at 4K? Although I only recorded for 10 seconds, the warmth of the DJI Action4 concerned me. Hello, thank you for a great video, DJI osmo action 4 is my 1st camera and i love it. But i dont understand one thing, it struggles to connect to my phone via bluetooth, it requires connection via wifi. As we travel a lot and i need to be connected to our router via wifi otherwise i have no data, i cant connect to my camera. So its either camera and no data, or connected to router and cant connect to the camera. I dont understand why it cant connect only via bluetooth. Do you have any idea please?
Is there maybe a way to mount it magnetically to the deck of a kayak? I bought the suction mount, but my boat doesn't have a perfectly flat place within easy reach. Thanks for the video!

I recently transferred some footage to edit them from the camera dji action 4 to my PC , but when I play the video, it’s lagging and appears to be in slow motion. I’m not sure what the issue is-whether it’s a transfer problem, a compatibility issue with my PC, or something with the camera settings. Do you have any recommendations on how I could fix this? Is there an alternative method I should try for transferring files or playing the footage? I would really appreciate any advice or suggestions!

Superstrong. It was mounted in my chest strap...Mountain Bike on rough trails. Undestroiable.

Question I’m wanting to get a action camera before leaving on vacation. I will be recording at night in low lights at the Christmas markets. I am new to the whole action camera and currently don’t have one. I don’t know which one to get. Any help will be helpful. Thank for your helpful viedos

I m from India .. want to ask 1 question..when I transfer file from dji action 4 to my phone.. single file automatically splits into 2 files..in my samsung mob (1:27 file splits into 1:02 & :25 sec files) unable to understand why it happens.. If you get my question plz tell me the reason
