I used to tell the wife, it’s not the job it’s the tool you buy for the job. Now that I’m retired I can’t afford to buy the tool so we have to improvise. Outstanding craftsmanship & compassion. Very nice job.
Love your videos mate. Honestly, great content. You have been consistent with your uploads and have showed us the restoration process of this car in detail. Keep going!
Amazing job as always Jason.!! What a different little engine. Thanks for sharing this process, very interesting. So different from the American V8s I am used to.
The dash and steering wheel really look crisp. The gauges really pop. You discovered another head scratcher, this time a missing port. The engine and piston assembly looks great and it's another big job checked off... Besides the regular rebuild work, the corrective bits that you've done will make a big difference when the car is done.
Don't mess around with a ring compression tool, Just gently lower the crank in and get the rings started in the tapers with a nylon trim removal tool, push them in a little bit at a time all the way around. it's not super hard if the liner tapers are not broken.
@@lickablewallpaper5512 Thanks Mate! I found the Plastic worked great on the centre 2 cylinders but the outer 2 was very hard to remove them so I took'em off & did what you said on the outer ones Got it all together! I reckon if they were just as wide as the Rings Should work, but I hope I never have to go there again! LOL, Cheers!!
steering wheel looks great
Thanks Dan! Yes I reckon it's the best feature on the whole car, Cheers!!
Kool Jason Love all the ingenuity. 👍
Thanks Robert! Was pretty mad breaking the ring but lesson learned there, Cheers!!
