alot of speculation about walking, he should have just walked. I live in Arizona and during the summer its well over 100 degrees and I walk in that heat all the time, I'm not even a healthy person either. He could have just waited until the sun started going down then took some food and water and walked 20 miles, would take at most 12 hours. so by the time he got there it would be around 6 am. adding some time for him to rest for his feet, he would have gotten to the city at most 10 am if he really wanted to get out of there, which is just before it gets the hottest so ya i would say he could have walked
and a desert is a desert, mostly the same temperature wise (actually it gets way colder during the night in a sand desert since there is no pavement to absorb heat) the only difference would be humidity and I doubt a desert has a lot of humidity
VLPR But you can walk 20 miles in a day or maybe two. And carrying supplies for that time period too. I have never hiked in the desert and I bet it's really hard, but staying there for several days working on the bike must have been equally challenging.
It's a gamble either way. Maybe you overestimate your own walking speed and run out of water halfway through. With this bike conversion thing you will at least have access to all of the water for maximum amount of time. And if it looks like you can't do the bike conversion when you have only couple days worth of water left, you can then start walking with the remaining water. There's really no reason to abandon the water.
Around 1969 a friend of mine had a 2cv. The doors were hung from a central post (so they opened in opposite directions). As he drove around a mini roundabout one whole side of the car fell off. Just the two small welds of the door post had given way.
If you have 14 days worth of food, and It will take you 2 days to travel 20 miles then you can spend 12 days creating a motorbike... If it fails then just walk.
How do you fix an axle? It's a metal rod, if it brakes you either need welding equipment to fix it or at least a crazy strong adhesive that can withstand accelerating a car, if such a thing even exists.
Really all he needed was nice sapling to drag mounted under area where that tire would touch the ground and thats easy as shit to mount up and or replace along the way
You'd be surprised how easily you can put together a 2CV, you can assemble the 2CV within 1/2 hour with a couple guys. It was designed to be taken apart and to be easy to work on for farmers. Nothing needs to be bolted on, everything is basically pinned down together
Most definitely fake. Looking it this as a tradesman makes me laugh. You would need a lot of different tools in order to get this done even cutting the axel and the frame haha
That’s why I’m not proud to be moroccan, instead of congratulating the man about his escape they freakin fined him when they dont even wear helmets on their police/ military motorcycles themselves.
I love this guy! Instead of just sitting there to wait and die from exposure he Mad Maxed a bike out of his car wreck. Fucking hardcore!!!!!! We need more people like this in the world.
Not only did he _not_ save his own life by turning his car into a bike, it could have easily won him a Darwin Award. The bottom line is that he was within walking distance of town*, and had plenty of water to make the trek, but chose to stay out there and pursue his project. By the time he was done, he was pretty much out of supplies. If his bike hadn't worked out, or had broken down, he probably would have ended up being eaten by scavengers. *It's funny how this story was originally a few kilometers, which turned into ten miles, twenty miles, and in some retellings is now simply "the middle of the desert".
I really want to believe this. I was instantly drawn to it and it looks brilliant. I just feel he built that cause he's an enthusiast and made the story up to go with it
And his name is... JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO Let's see you lift a fucking motor in the blistering desert heat. You're such a fucking idiot. Any able bodied person can walk in the heat for at least 3 miles, then sleep and rest. Back in half the time. Or he could have walked, I dont know, perhaps at night when it isn't so damn hot. You're a gigantic imbecile.
So, apparently over the years this guy has changed his story quite a bit. In the last interview I saw with him, he said the city was only 10 miles away. So, he's changing his story as the years go by.
What happened is, he got so much flack from people who said, it would have only taken 5 hours to walk back to the city, but instead he took 12 days to build a motorcycle... I think this is why he's making the distance a bit more, but even then, it's only 20 miles. That's only one day's walk in that environment.
Even if it took you 15 minutes (which is basically how fast the slowest and fattest kids at my public schools did one mile) to do every mile, it would only take 5 hours. I don't know where people in the comments keep getting this 10 hour figure from. I once jogged through a 10 mile trail in the woods at night with no water that went over mountains and did it in about an hour and half to two. I wasn't insanely fit, and my life wasn't depending on it. But yeah. I agree that in that specific desert, you could easily just walk that distance.
but walking in the hot sun and cold night will make him dring every time and eat food by walking so ye that some time work but sorry to say it like 45% to live from it

alot of speculation about walking, he should have just walked.
If he did that we wouldn't have this earth shattering 3 minute video now would we?
But he was in a desert by france and thats alot diffrent from arizona soo
Joshua Zamora mate morocco is in africa, france is in europe
and a desert is a desert, mostly the same temperature wise (actually it gets way colder during the night in a sand desert since there is no pavement to absorb heat) the only difference would be humidity and I doubt a desert has a lot of humidity
Justin L. Did you not take account of his age? No way his weakened body could handle the journey.
His story could actually be a movie that I would definitely watch
He had food&water for 12 days? He could have just walked the 20 miles!
12 days worth of water for desert conditions is not something you can carry while walking
There's really no reason to abandon the water.
monamaennchen Morocco is too hot trust me
VLPR Deserts are not hot 24/7, they are surprisingly cold during the night. He could've camped and or slept for the morning, and walk at night.
That guy is aswome at building
very *aswome*
YURI WHY DID U COMMIT SUICIDE.
donald trumps descendant lmao
But you’re not *aswome* at spelling.
I’m better at Fortnite then him
The only thing I was thinking the whole time was the Mythbusters episode
Me too! Too bad Adam and Jamie failed at it, kind of.
Same
Around 1969 a friend of mine had a 2cv. The doors were hung from a central post (so they opened in opposite directions). As he drove around a mini roundabout one whole side of the car fell off. Just the two small welds of the door post had given way.
Heard Nick Fury tried to pitch him into avengers next day.
Wait he was only 20 miles out so he spent almost two weeks working on a car? You could easily walk 20 miles in 2 or 3 days.
Wilson Solt could walk that in like 8 hrs
Wilson Solt Or you could run and make it in a day.
I've walked 20 miles before on a march thing whatever it took me 3 hours to walk no running at all.
If you have 14 days worth of food, and It will take you 2 days to travel 20 miles then you can spend 12 days creating a motorbike... If it fails then just walk.
Actaully it doesn't take 2 days, I've done the 20 miles walk before and it took 3 hours.
All of that skill when he could have used his genius-ness to fix the axel.
Motorcycles are more fun :)
How do you fix an axle? It's a metal rod, if it brakes you either need welding equipment to fix it or at least a crazy strong adhesive that can withstand accelerating a car, if such a thing even exists.
Angel Samael it does exist, jb weld, duct tape, flex seal, zip ties, you get the idea.
@@enginesandoutdoors3238 hehe flex seal
Really all he needed was nice sapling to drag mounted under area where that tire would touch the ground and thats easy as shit to mount up and or replace along the way
The perfect guy to have on your team in a zombie apocalypse
This is so fake!
The car was a paid actor
TecVo lol
You'd be surprised how easily you can put together a 2CV, you can assemble the 2CV within 1/2 hour with a couple guys. It was designed to be taken apart and to be easy to work on for farmers. Nothing needs to be bolted on, everything is basically pinned down together
He doesn't need to, he just cut the frame to shorten it
Most definitely fake. Looking it this as a tradesman makes me laugh. You would need a lot of different tools in order to get this done even cutting the axel and the frame haha
dave lall high goggiijjhio

When you speak both french and English and don’t need the subtitles...*multi-national man*

King Vee well great for you mr Spicyo Meatballio
That’s why I’m not proud to be moroccan, instead of congratulating the man about his escape they freakin fined him when they dont even wear helmets on their police/ military motorcycles themselves.
I love this guy!
Instead of just sitting there to wait and die from exposure he Mad Maxed a bike out of his car wreck.
Fucking hardcore!!!!!!
We need more people like this in the world.
Fox or he could utilize the revolutionary technology of walking. We need more people with actual common sense not more retards.
Good look walking 80 miles in the scorching desert sun.
Luke Guy wait till night
Comeme i think he did not walk because he loves building
Chikh8n in the desert night is just as deadly as day it can get extremely cold and it would be so dark he could wander further away from civilization
How did he manage with no welding gear hmmm 20 miles is nothing to walk
Steve Tyler
20 miles in a desert? You think that's easy?
You're joking.
20miles is much on a desert. 20miles in city is not even that bad
Agreed. Twenty miles is one day of backpacking.
unless you're an obese whale you should be able to walk 20 miles to save your life. Marathons are 26.2 miles and people walk them in about 8 hours.
but they don't do it in 100 degree (F).. Trust me i live in a desert, even going outside and standing you get dehydrated fast
Its about the journey and sending a message
I honestly doubt this story is anything but a fabrication. He must have had quite a set of tools available.
I really want to believe this. I was instantly drawn to it and it looks brilliant. I just feel he built that cause he's an enthusiast and made the story up to go with it
I bet he'd had the idea for years and waiting for an excuse to do it
If he broke down 20 miles from the nearest village and he had enough provisions for ten days couldn’t he just hike there? It would be a lot easier
You wouldn't be watching this if he didnt make that motorcycle
@@2-d790 so true
Then he would not have this cool story to tell
At night he wouldn't have a car shell as shelter so the elements might kill him.
Walking 20 miles in the desert is freaking impossible! How to carry your provisions?
And God made motorbike on the 12th day. He took a hefty fine and some rest on the 13th day.
Cyrus Andreas god didn’t make the motorbike he did wut

MACGYVER !!!! BOOM !!!!

This guy looks like that mad scientist character that gives you weapon upgrades
Even if he walked slowly he'd get there in less than 12 hours.
Are you kidding me? Even at age and health that he is at, if you go at night, and bring some water, you could easily 20 miles in 10 hours
20 miles is further than you think.
Especially in the desert.
Christian Penguin dude when I go backpacking I go almost 20 miles a day
Ethan Shohet okk
Ethan Shohet
There is a reason he said the he “really likes cars”
The guy found an opportunity to do this and he did it
in the desert? lmao
This men's life is a top gear episode xD
I think that's Doc Brown's son.....Maybe Doc Brown married a French Women....??!!!
Luke Luo Well in the ending of back to the future 3, Doc introduces to us his 2 sons. Jules and Verne. Jules Verne was french. Illuminati confirmed.

So if he has a Delorean, can he make it into a time machine? :3
cuz that will be cool
Lol that would be pretty awesome
@dogboydesigns flux capasitor
I just fill a capasitor with flux then i have a time machine :3
JK 😂
“Great Scott!”
20 miles? Naw I'd fucking walk it all in one night
David Pettersson Dude, in our country theres an event once a year in which people walk 50 kilometres every day, four days in a row
Ok i can not do anything about it.
Just a joke xD
And his name is... JOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
Let's see you lift a fucking motor in the blistering desert heat. You're such a fucking idiot.
Any able bodied person can walk in the heat for at least 3 miles, then sleep and rest. Back in half the time. Or he could have walked, I dont know, perhaps at night when it isn't so damn hot.
You're a gigantic imbecile.
Firestarter no you are
So, apparently over the years this guy has changed his story quite a bit.
The real story is: He bought this shit motorcycle, then had to come up with a retarded story to hide it from his wife.
Hmm, perhaps after all these comments, he’s now saying he was 200 miles from the nearest town…
They made a Mythbusters episode based on this guy when he was still considered a myth. They couldn't do it.
Then confirm that they Know nothing about Citron..

Moral of the story
When stuck in the desert make a motorcycle to save your life from getting burnt and don’t listen to the military
Macgyver:Finally a worthy opponent. Our battle will be legendary
Bruh, that police still fined him when he was stranded in the desert for almost a month.
Damn popo. Petty as hell.
or, you could walk and take a couple of hours...
would take like 10 hours but he clearly had food and water so id do that instead
Azor Ahai Through the rough terrain and hot/cold temperatures. It's gonna be harder than you think
rule number one of being stranded in the desert never leave your vehicle
Even if it took you 15 minutes (which is basically how fast the slowest and fattest kids at my public schools did one mile) to do every mile, it would only take 5 hours. I don't know where people in the comments keep getting this 10 hour figure from. I once jogged through a 10 mile trail in the woods at night with no water that went over mountains and did it in about an hour and half to two. I wasn't insanely fit, and my life wasn't depending on it. But yeah. I agree that in that specific desert, you could easily just walk that distance.
but walking in the hot sun and cold night will make him dring every time and eat food by walking so ye that some time work but sorry to say it like 45% to live from it
I turn my helicopter into a fidget spinner
People back then are just built different and I would die out there if I was stranded

12 days and 11 nights to build that. You could of walked to that village 20 miles away in like a few hours
George Crosby more than a few hours, but definitely easier than making a car into a motorcycle.
Simple history pushed me here
Get on the the *BURP* bike Morty!
Ahhww Rick I.. I.. I.. don't know
JUUUUURST shut up and get on Morty. I made it from a car I crashed.
Ah geeze ok Rick.
wha- what do the mythbusters even know Morty? I mean I made this thing in a desert Morty. I built it with my own two hands. geezz
You just mix mayonnaise with sweet chilli sauce Morty. Don't worry about it. It's just the system at work. Don't ever listen to the system. You gotta think for YEERRGGG self Morty.
After 11 days of making his car into motorcycle , imagine what will happen if he finds that there is no fuel?🤔
That one guy u need to survive zombie apocalypse
That line up though
I dare you: to not have *Mad Max* movie scenes, thoughts, or even vibes watching this.
