@Emmanuel Dairo here is how I came up with my profitability from the video. Using Bottom-up estimation. In your case you have the price of one fish, and average customer buys 5 fish from you, then expecting 10 customers a day means u sell 50 fish a day. in a month working monday-friday thats 5 days (5*50=250 fish a week) with 4 weeks in a month the number of fish sold per month is 1000 (250 fish * 4 weeks). in a year thats 1000 fish * 12 Months (12,000 fish). Total Revenue =1fish price * 12,000 fish. Having an example price of 1 fish at 2USD then Revenue =24,000USD. Cost of sales lets say is 70% of the revenue (you can determine from your business this just an example) thats 16,800. Gross Profit is then 24,000 less 16,800 = 7200. Your operation cost "maybe" is 10% of the revenue = 2400. then Net profit is 7200-2400=4800. the % Net profit is then 4800, as a percentage of the Total revenue (24,000). in this example %Net Profiit =20% Annually....Hope the breakdown is helpful :-) You might have a range of products, since there is a word limit and to keep things simple just do the calculation using one product priced average in your range of products!!!
...ooh and the number of customers annually: 10 a day, 50 per week (since in the example we are open for 5 days only, monday through friday) 52 weeks in a year...thats 50*52=2600 expected customers Annually. These will bring you the 24,000USD in revenue in 1 year if the bought 5 fish each at 2USD per fish.

Hello Mr Chinedu i would advise you should be more specific rather than generic , are you into road ,bridge , house , market construction ? Your challenge about pricing & profitability is because your idea is generic not specific, you must 1st learn to narrow your core business objective down to enable you gain clearity . if you offer more than 1 service in your business look for the most value and porifitabile one in your construction business offering and work on that. I totally understand contracts cost are subjective to different projects, but think through sir In constrcution your plant and Machinery are very expense so narrow down , why should they give 5000 Dollors to be one equipment ? so thinking through one service and run with that.
