  • Understand the PMBOK® Guide 6th Edition processes in a simple way! I prepared this for the first time in 1998 when I was studying for the PMP Exam from PMI, including how to read the ITTO for the 49 processes correctly. Since then, I decided to publish this type of video to make sure people lose the fear and the thick guide and learn that you can benefit from the process and the approach in your projects.

@@syedjawahar8542 dude you have zero understanding of project management. What is explained in the video above is what a PjM breathes day in and day out. We ask is it done that's what is on the exterior. But the storm of pressures and milestones and deadlines and what not we go through the inside is a different ball game altogether. The flow what he mentioned is what a project manager goes through day in and day out and since folks like you do not understand project management (which precisely you proved it here), we ask one line - "hey is it done?"
      PS: It's just a clarification.

Well you're actually correct.. In the end that's what most managers actually do.. These courses teach you about how a gun is made, and in most projects, the gun is already there, they have people who need to know how to aim and shoot and how much to shoot etc

YOU ARE THE BEST!!!! I passed my PMP exam yesterday with 4 above targets and 1 target (closing). Closing is a lot more difficult than people think!
I watched this video at least 10 times, re created the chart and added in some cheat notes (inputs and outputs) and studied it like crazy up to the exam. Morning of the test I woke up to watch this video one more time and it saved my ass! RICARDO YOU DESERVE SO MANY AWARDS and I wish I could hug you!!!!
My advice to others, aside from this wonderful video, you NEED to buy the right exam simulator. I purchased one that came highly touted and it was crap. Thanks to redditors I learned of another simulator called prepcast and that is hands down what helped me pass. The exam questions were almost identical in format. This simulator also explains WHY options are wrong and not only why it is right. Do not underestimate this exam!!! Know the processes in and out! You don't need to memorize the ITTOS but it helps to understand them. I got a lot of situational questions that required emotional intelligence. Good luck everyone!
    Thank you again!!!!!!

For everyone!!! Please do not take your exam online! I studied so hard for months for this exam just to join my exam for proctor to revoke my exam because I got too close to screen on question 110! I do not want anybody to have same experience I had. Now I have to put up with same stress and retake a 4 hour test! Don’t know if I will pay for it again too! Unfair. I hope this will not happen to others. I have read so many bad stories about taking online exam after this happened to me. I didn’t know. If this can help to anybody at least I didn’t waste my 3 hours of life and rest of the day frustrated and crying.

    Mr. Vargas!!!!! Like a boss!!!!
I just passed my CAPM exam and I KNOW that I scored above target in 12 of the 13 domains because I watched your video a couple times before taking the test. I will be watching this video about 30 times, minimum, before I sit for the PMP exam. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this!

Application and logic of the PMBOK guide is more important that memorising all the slides/pages etc. I wasted my money!

I watched it right before my scheduled exam not so long ago, and it was the best decision I’ve made in some time, truly. As I was reading the questions about integration management I kept hearing his voice explaining how the processes worked. I was really struggling with them and I say with complete certainty, the primary reason that I passed the exam on my first attempt was due to Ricardo’s melodious voice in my head walking me through it.
If you’ve struggled with processes or want a refresher, plan the time to watch this video right before the exam. Best decision you can make for yourself. There is a reason that NUMEROUS TH-cam channels direct you to our Portuguese PMBOK savior. Thank you, Ricardo!

This video is still relevant when you need to prepare for an interview as a project manager. We tend to forget where all the things we do as project managers fit into the process groups and knowledge areas. Taking a step back to realize this is helpful when trying to convince your next boss you are the right person for the job.

After being a Process Engineer and an entrepreneur, I can confirm that NOTHING in real life is as structured as this diagram. I am so glad you always say "everything is fluid", because in reality, it is SO fluid. On the shop floor, you cannot think to yourself "ah, let me go look at what my PMBOK flowchart says, then maybe we can perform Qualitative Risk Analysis" LOL; if you do that, the employer will give you your PMBOK in your hand and walk you out the door hahah.
I am glad that you always says "this is a GUIDE, not exact rules"
