    Nice to haves:
    LED Door Sills / Scuff Plates s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DDq...) - these are the #1 tech, cosmetic and also functional upgrade I recommend. They are very easy to install, completely elevate the look of the car, protect the paint around the back doors and have replaceable batteries unlike the Tesla sills that are basically disposable/landfill. Every Tesla 3 and Y would benefit from these!
    Weatherproof 3D Floor Mats s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_Dcg... - Perfectly 3d molded to suit. These floormats have that ballistic nylon texture to them. Completely waterproof and incredibly hard wearing. These are floormats that will survive the apocalypse.
    Type 2 to Type 2 Charge Cable (AU/EU Markets) s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DDn... - Tesla Models 3 and Y are a max of 11kw capable however you need a 22kw cable to allow for 7kW 32A charging on single phase and you can get that for under US$150 right here.
    4.6” Rear Control Multifunction System s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DkI... - if there’s one tech add on that should have been OEM it’s without a doubt this one. Can be installed in under 30 minutes and really upgrades the rear passenger experience!
    Tire Inflator s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_DDe... - the #1 safety and maintenance related product that I highly highly recommend. I’ve gotten years of bulletproof service out of my own unit and it would be amazing value even at double the price! Every Tesla owner should have one handy and ready to go in a pinch.

      @@VanillaTeslaIve been reading through the comments and sounds like you have had no issues with it over the last year ? I’m little worried regarding voiding my warranty and it leading to any bigger issues and things of that nature.

    • @VanillaTesla
      @VanillaTesla  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hey, not only have I had no issues with it I’ve also installed it on a fair few vehicles and there hasn’t been a single issue to date. They are great little units and the install does not modify any stock parts and is plug and play and fully reversible. The lock piggyback mechanism’s design is pretty confidence inspiring. It’s fully reliant on the Tesla locking mechanism for release so I don’t have any concerns recommending it. If you google “satonic frunk failure” there are still no examples online. I’ve only seen one example on youtube of a suction mechanism problem but that was a faulty part from factory on a new install. I expect that the part would have been promptly replaced under warranty.

    Thanks for the objective video. Can you elaborate of how the Handshow units opened while driving? I was about to pull the trigger of the Handshow until I saw your video. Strange there are very few Satonic videos. I do love the price of the Satonic unit and the LED light included. Thanks for your work educating us.

    • @VanillaTesla
      @VanillaTesla  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Unfortunately it’s unclear what is causing the Hansshow units to fail. Speculation is that it may be the circuit for the kick sensor or a fault in the suction lock mechanism that causes spontaneous deployment but at this point there’s no confirmed root cause. Satonic unfortunately is not quite as proactive in their marketing as Hansshow hence their lack of presence online. Satonic do not provide review units for free as part of their marketing efforts which is why there’s a lack of videos from reviewers. They seem to make up for this with quality products and good customer support but I agree that a little more marketing and partnering to boost their presence would be ideal.

    I have sadly encounter a few issues during installation as some other people have as well and warranty issues after the installation and using the frunk for s few months. Hansshow does not back up their product and when it failed me (after months of usage), the frunk would not open and I had to take it to Tesla and incur additional charges to have them open the frunk for me.
    Tesla removed all the aftermarket parts from hansshow I connected back all the original ones and the frunk started working properly again... Hope this helps save someone else from the headaches and the expenses...

    Hi there, great review and very informative. Question; is this power frunk noisy? I know some power frunks make a disturbing noise when being used. Thanks!

    • @VanillaTesla
      @VanillaTesla  19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      There is a sound but it is not particularly noisy or disturbing. I would say it is quite quiet. The motors in the struts are very quiet. The noisiest part is the latching of the frunk which is unavoidable as even manually latching the frunk has the same loud clicking sound.

    To me the best feature of this kit over the others is the fact that you don't have a second key fob. I would not even consider an option that didn't integrate with the OEM fob.

    Im assuming the frunk LED that was supplied with Satonic kit doesn't work with the frunk emergency button and thats why you had to buy the Hanssshow version. Would be very helpful if you could add that your description as in your video you said thr LED would work. Please correct me if im wrong.

      Fair pickup and thanks for the comment. I didn’t make any mention of the frunk release button in my previous video as a technical solution didn’t exist at the time. All LEDs stopped the button from working at the time of posting. I’ve been consulting with Satonic about this for months and two days ago they informed me that they’d finally solved the emergency release problem in their own LED strips without the need for a relay and will be shipping the new versions in future.

    • @VanillaTesla
      @VanillaTesla  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey thanks for the question. The standby power is negligible and will not have any battery impact. There’s nothing active in the circuitry when it’s in a passive state so you’d be looking at a single digit mA standby draw if any. Nothing to worry about. Since the kit also includes the LED trunk lighting, will you recommend to use it with the frunk kit OR use Hansshow LED lighting instead? Will the LED lighting turn off after closing the trunk? Do you feel the battery drain with the LED lighting installed?

    • @VanillaTesla
      @VanillaTesla  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question. It includes frunk lighting not trunk not sure if that’s a typo. Satonic advised me about two weeks ago that they’ve now solved the LED button compatibility issue and all new orders will include a frunk emergency release button compatible led strip but I’m still waiting for a sample to test myself. Given the available information I would hold off on buying the Hansshow LED and just going with the frunk kit first tbh. The LED is only a 10 minute install at any other time anyway. LED lighting turns off once the frunk closes. Battery drain is completely negligible.

    The possibility of these power frunk kits opening while your driving is enough for me not to buy one. I have seen too many that have failed and caused so much damage! That as well as the difficult installation its better to buy the non powered shocks and just buy the safer power suction latch

    • @VanillaTesla
      @VanillaTesla  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      The risk you are referring to is also what put me off buying one initially however if you look at the mechanics of the newer kits it should be impossible for an erroneous deployment to happen. They piggyback off the original frunk latch and cannot physically open the frunk unless the native tesla latch is released i.e. frunk is triggered open by the car natively. I believe what caused these issues in the past for hansshow were the optional kick sensors faulting which satonic never sold.
